I thought this had been common knowledge ever since the release of the geek-chic ur-film Revenge of the Nerds (Kanew, 1984), in which Robert Carradine attributes his erotic prowess to the fact that "jocks only think about sports, while nerds only think about sex." The Daily News ignores that particular statement, and instead offers E. Jean Carroll's comment that "a nerd is an excellent provider and a guy who puts you first." Take that, Alpha Betas!
