The "first rock act to receive an official seal of approval in Iran" is … Queen.

Fat-bottomed mullahs, you make the rockin' world go 'round.
BTW, I wasn't shocked to see Eminem mentioned. Rap's sexism and anti-gay themes must go over real well there. The kind of moderate stuff you can listen to with your parents.
Mustafa Ibrahim! Allah will pray for you!
So the mullahs are down with zoroastrians 🙂

...and I don't like Star Wars!
Mama,
my life had just begun
and now I've gone and thrown it all away...
Not exactly a call to jihad. Freddy Mercury's homosexuality is also a stumbling block.
Overall, not a bad choice though. The Ayatollahs can rock. And they say we have a clash of civilizations...
"The album contains hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, The Miracle and I Want to Break Free, but reportedly omits a number of Queen's love songs."
I never thought of "Fat Bottom Girls" and "Tie Your Mother Down" as "love songs", but if that's what they are, then "Whole Lotta Rosie" and "Love at First Feel" are love songs too.
It would be interesting to get the mullah take on "love songs" like "Stranglehold"; of course, you'd have to include a liner note explaining that such expressions of affection are only appropriate between a man and his wife.
A case of file trading having the benefit of increasing the legitimate sales.
...another one bites the dust-ah!
Now wait just a minute! Freddy Mercury was gay?!?
What about "Mustafa"? That was a Freddie classic, sung in Arabic.
