Promotion of "Traditional Values" Takes a Back Seat
Only forty percent of voters think promotion of values is an important role of government
Fewer Americans than ever believe the government should promote traditional values, according to a poll released Wednesday.
Only 40 percent of registered voters believe promoting traditional values is an important role for government, down from 57 percent in 2008, according to a CNN/ORC survey. The finding could benefit Democrats, if voters believe GOP is spending too much time pushing a social agenda.
