Hub and UnPopulist Podcasts About the Tariff Case
The podcasts cover the case and its relationship to the more general problem of abuse of emergency powers.
I recently did two additional podcasts on our win in the tariff case before the US Court of International Trade, and its implications. One was with the Canadian conservative website The Hub:
The other podcast was with The UnPopulist (available here).
The Hub podcast focuses more on the legal issues at stake, while that with the UnPopulist considers the broader issue of abuse o emergency powers, and what can be done about it. I discussed that latter issue in greater detail in a recent Lawfare article.

"President Trump wants to level this playing field. To do so, he has started what some are calling a trade war and others are calling the greatest example of “the art of the deal” in history."
Over and over, Somin is misleading in not saying the Appeals court has stopped this win at the Trade Court, by low level magistrates. These are Deep State, America hating, rent seeking lawyers steeped in Washington culture. All should be removed. Nothing a Washington lawyer says has the slightest validity. Indeed, rely on them to hurt our country at every opportunity.
One wonders why a Russian, Jewish, immigrant lawyer like Somin would be so disrespectful of the country that gave him everything he has. The answer also explains why the victimized Jews of NYC, of LA, of Chicago, and of Philly support the Democrat Party of Hamas, of the DEI, of the sexually impaired, of crime. People imitate. People will fit in with their local culture, not matter how toxic to their interests.
It’s like how you fit in so well at the asylum?
One self-congratulatory tariff post so far today. At least three more to go. Still curious if any messages of support were received from the CCP. China is one of the great beneficiaries of the courts' latest overreaches.
And also still curous about that non-randomly chosen trade court panel that issued the lightning fast determination after hours. The fix wasn't in of course. They weren't selected for any particular reason. Why that's obvious. But just would like some updates on that nonetheless.
"One self-congratulatory tariff post so far today. "
All the Josh haters curiously silent.
Bot not programmed to tell the truth. Ever. "Trade court panel" are the only things in there not fabricated.
Someone seems to like spreading disinformation. That kind of thing was considered pretty much akin to a criminal offense under the Biden regime. But i guess nothing stops an ignorant unprincipled troll these days.
Yes, "you" do.
Trump is the best thing to happen to Somin. All these media appearances!
It is entertaining to see Ilya doubling down on his anti-tariff dogma which is encountering huge issues.
Inflation is not rising. Job creating is strong. Foreign investment in domestic American manufacturing is booming. There are no shortages on store shelves.
What is it again that is so diabolically destructive about the Trump administration's tariff policy?
Anyone care to discuss the collapse of Mr. Somin's open borders, unlimited immigration dogma?
Staying in one's lane of law and out of public policy is excellent advice for ideologues.
