The Volokh Conspiracy
Mostly law professors | Sometimes contrarian | Often libertarian | Always independent
"We the People" Podcast on AI Libel, with Prof. Lyrissa Lidsky, Prof. Jeff Rosen, and Me
The podcast is from the National Constitutional Center; Jeff Rosen, who's a professor at the George Washington University law school, is the NCC's head (and a noted author and journalist). Lyrissa Lidsky is a co-Reporter for the American Law Institute's Restatement (Third) of Torts: Defamation and Privacy, the former dean at the University of Missouri law school, and now a professor at the University of Florida law school. I very much enjoyed doing the podcast, and I hope you enjoy listening to it.

It appears the Volokh Conspirators are complying with the request of their friends (and un-American jerks) John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark), likely acting on behalf of the Federalist Society, to refrain from addressing the damning indictment of former Pres. Donald Trump.
Regular readers of this blog will know to expect an energetic stream of diversionary chaff from this white, male, right-wing blog, largely focused on random transgender-Muslim-gay-drag queen-lesbian issues, for a few days.
(Does anyone know the screen name Adam Bies uses at the Volokh Conspiracy?)
Trump was indicted? I had no idea! Why doesn't this blog cover this little-known-yet-important news?
Some of our cobloggers might have something interesting to say about it, and I'd love to see them post. But I generally prefer to post about things that either (1) are not already blanketing the news, or (2) I know something about, and can thus contribute some nonobvious analysis. That, I think, is where the real value of this blog lies: We aren't a general news source like a newspaper, which one may indeed expect to cover all the top news of the day.
...and the Rev. can hijack a thread or wait until Open Thread Monday to share his thoughtful commentary.
