Tuscarora Nation of Indians v. Power Authority of the State of New York, 79 U.St. 4 (decided September 8, 1958): Harlan partially grants and partially denies Second Court's stay of condemnation of Tuscarora lands for power project; power authority says it can hold off on some parts of it without financial loss; notes that tribe's separate action disputing the Power Authority's license in the D.C. District Court would be heard by the D.C. Circuit, not the Second Circuit (the Power Authority eventually won, 362 U.S. 99, 1960)
As Felix Frankfurter said at the time, Vinson's death was the first real evidence he had seen for the existence of God.
Frankfurter was a classy guy. /s
and Frankfurter's (gotta feel for the guy, named after a Hotdog) seat is now occupied by a Judge who can't tell XX from XY, first real evidence I've seen there Isn't a Surpreme Being.
And strange, the Vinson Aircraft Carrier is named after a different Vinson, also a Shyster, but not related. (the carrier they dumped Bin Laden's body off of, "In accordance with Moose-lum practice" which actually wasn't in accordance with Moose-lum practice, but hey, wanta visit OBL's grave? out in the middle of the Indian Ocean...
