Arrow Transportation Co. v. Southern Ry. Co., 83 S.Ct. 1 (decided August 17, 1962): Black continues restraining order as to railway rates which plaintiff barge operator argues are so low (below cost) as to destroy barge industry in violation of Interstate Commerce Commission Act; notes federal question and likelihood of granting cert (however the Court ultimately dismissed the case as premature, the new rates having been suspended by the ICC pending administrative review, 372 U.S. 658, 1963)
Edwards v. Hope Medical Group for Women, 512 U.S. 1301 (decided August 17, 1994): Scalia denies stay of order preventing enforcement of Louisiana statute prohibiting public funds from being used to pay for abortions except to save life of mother; Hyde Amendment did not apply to this type of funding, states accepting Medicaid were required to provide such coverage, and cert had been denied in similar cases
Sellers v. United States, 89 S.Ct. 36 (decided August 17, 1968): Black denies request to suspend bail for civil rights activist convicted of rioting; though defendant had gone on unauthorized trip to Japan, made bellicose statements and was involved in another incident, he had always shown up for court dates and was not a flight risk (all the other defendants were white and were aquitted; the only casualties were dead protesters shot by police; defendant was pardoned by South Carolina Governor Campbell, a Republican, in 1993 and became president of a historically black college)
Giorgia Meloni is Italy's Trump, and could become Prime Minister. Very good looking. The theory is that the left is ugly people getting revenge on a nation that mistreated them.

This the correct remedy to surging crime. The better thing to do would be to try them, and execute all of them. The theory is, lawyer dumbasses, the deceased have a low recidivism rate. These defendants' lives have a negative value. So, after they are gone, the GDP will add value.

However toxic these defendants are, the American lawyer is 1000 times more toxic.
Souter is a golden sombrero and Thomas is a walk off grand slam.
Walk-offs are for winners. Justice Thomas and Bob from Ohio are part of the losing team in America's culture war. They get to watch better Americans shape our national progress, then they get to comply with the preferences of their betters as conservatives become increasingly disaffected and bitter about "all of this damned progress."
Carry on, clingers.
Like that Upholding of Roe v Wade?????
Jeez-us "Reverend" you come off as more of a "Klinger" Chucklehead than any of the umm "Klingers" you so routinely (and tiredly, I might add) disparage in your diatribes from https://www.cor.pa.gov/Facilities/StatePrisons/Pages/Greene.aspx
and I was just busting balls about you knowing Joe Pa, but obviously you've got some connections with PA, which is "Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between.” (HT J. Carville) So Pretty sure your Almer Mater is PA/WV/OH, hey, if you're not gonna deny it, I'm guessing you went to https://law.udc.edu/
balls in your "Court" (See what I did there?) "Reverend"

I doubt the future will see many volumes of scholarly research devoted to the jurisprudence of David Souter, but that is not necessarily a negative comment on the man.
In his 2007 book The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court, noted legal analyst and ZOOM call masturbator Jeffrey Toobin claimed that Souter broke down in tears after Bush v. Gore was decided. Who knows if that's true, but you'd have to have a heart of stone not to laugh at the idea that it might be.
You must have had an absolute giggling fit after 9/11.
Yes, 9/11 and Bush v. Gore were totally equivalent. That's a perfectly normal perspective and not insane at all,
A dishonest Court putting into that job a man obviously unqualified for it. Oblivious to the danger.
Just evidence of how much AlGore sucked.
Timing is the key to comedy. 9/11 would have been less unpopular if it happened a decade later when some of the Occupy movement wanted the money grabbers to jump from tall buildings.
Souter is said to have wept over Bush v. Gore.
Alito offered an emotional celebration (which will seem silly and premature a few decades from now) concerning the reason-vs.-superstition contest before an audience of religious allies.
Supreme Court justices are human.
Umm, how do I say this respectfully, "Reverend"??
"Well, Duh!"
Of course they're Human, although I've had doubts about Rehnquist (voice reminded me of "HAL" from "2001")
End result of "Dobbs" will be millions more Afro-Amuricans born, who could be against that??
