Brian Kalt guest-blogging about 'Don't Kill the Candidate: Remedying Congress's Failure to Use Section 4 of the Twentieth Amendment'
I'm delighted to report that Prof. Brian Kalt (Michigan State) will be guest-blogging this week about Section 4 of the 20th Amendment:
The Congress may by law provide for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the House of Representatives may choose a President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them, and for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the Senate may choose a Vice President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them.
The Congress hasn't used this power, but in his new article, "Don't Kill the Candidate: Remedying Congress's Failure to Use Section 4 of the Twentieth Amendment," Kalt argues that Congress should. I much look forward to his posts.
