Correction to post about Sikhs, knives and religious exemptions
It turns out that I missed an important point about the Virender Singh religious knife prosecution that I blogged about last week. My general discussion of religious exemptions and weapons laws was correct, but I missed an interesting twist in the Virender Singh case that was absent in some of the other cases. Please see the newly added Item 3 in that post for more. My apologies for the error, and I hope the correction sets the record straight.
