Any good readings for a Roman law seminar?
I'll be teaching a short one-unit seminar on Roman law this coming Spring. I have some ideas about what to include in the readings, but I'd love to hear other suggestions. If any of you have taken a class on Roman law, or otherwise read about it, and found some readings particularly interesting, please let me know, either in the comments or by e-mailing me at volokh at law.ucla.edu. I'm interested in all aspects of Roman law, including both constitutional law (the separation of powers within the Roman polity) and the law of relations among private individuals.
