Prof. Renee Lettow Lerner, guest-blogging on the civil jury
I'm delighted to report that Prof. Renee Lettow Lerner (George Washington University Law School) will be guest-blogging this week about the civil jury. Prof. Lerner is one of the leading legal historians of American criminal and civil procedure, and has written extensively on the history of the jury, judicial elections, the privilege against self-incrimination, and more. To give a hint of her views on this week's subject, here is the opening line of her first post, coming soon:
Americans' romance with the jury - bordering on religious devotion - is doing us no good.
I very much look forward to her visit!
