The Scott & Cyan Banister First Amendment Clinic

I'm delighted to report that the UCLA First Amendment Amicus Brief Clinic that I run has changed its name, to the Scott & Cyan Banister First Amendment Clinic, in recognition of the Banisters' very generous gift in support of the clinic.

Scott and Cyan Banister are angel investors, mostly in technology (Scott Banister is best known as a co-founder of IronPort, an e-mail appliance provider that was bought by Cisco in 2007, and as an early adviser and board member at PayPal, where he co-invented the "e-mail payments" feature) but now also in First Amendment litigation.
