U.K. Rapper Zuby: 'When I'm in the U.S., My Mind Is Blown by the Opportunities Here'
The rapper, podcaster, and author talks about "freedom, liberty, and all of that good stuff."
HD DownloadNzube Udezue—better known simply as Zuby—is a rapper, podcaster, and author known for an engaging mix of personal uplift and political provocation that led to a highly publicized (if temporary) suspension from Twitter in 2020.
Born in England to parents of Nigerian descent and raised in Saudi Arabia, he now spends much of his time in the United States, where he criticizes identity politics on shows like The Joe Rogan Experience. He has built a massive following on social media and has just published a children's book designed to showcase the benefits of good nutrition and self-control.
Earlier this year, Zuby spoke at a Mises Caucus event at the Libertarian Party convention in Reno, Nevada, where he said he was overjoyed to be "talking about freedom, liberty, and all of that good stuff."
Reason caught up with Zuby at FreedomFest, the annual conference held in Las Vegas, where we discussed his experience of the pandemic in eight different countries, his defense of tweets mocking transgender athletes (and his support of rights for trans people), and why he's bullish on the future of individual responsibility and freedom.

Shhhh! Dont tell the current crop of whiney, entitled, spoiled progs.
The mantra has to be that the US is one of the most racist, unfair, and unjust societies in the world.
A black person from another country appreciating the greatness of America cannot exist, as it goes against the narrative.
Also, please disregard the thousands of brown people literally dying to find a way to live in this country.

Also ignore the statistically different success rates between "indigenous" American blacks and those who are first or second generation immigrants, since that might make people question that whole systemic racism thing.
The new black face of white supemicy everyone! Move over Clarence Thomas, Larry elder, Thomas Sowell, rippa... At what point are the proggies going to realize they are loosing more and more minorities?
fortunately for us, their 'demographics is destiny' idea doesn't work well when they have gotten so mentally ill, their pushing of post-modern secular pseudoscience ideology is a huge turn off to the demographics they thought they had captured.
Turns out a lot of the people coming here have a faith that doesnt line up with unlimited abortions, eugenics, and tranny hour for 5 year olds.
I think Democrats have switched to "billionaire tech moguls are destiny".
Worked in 2020.
They got:
-lockdowns
-widespread race essentialist riots
-a blatantly rigged election giving them control over all levers of power
When California flips red.
How dare you. In your bigoted hatred of the trans community you intentionally snubbed Zuby's distinction as the world record holder for women's weightlifting. It was such a stunning and brave performance as Zuby effortlessly identified as a woman then shattering the women's world record.
Yes. Why ignore this amazing feat? Does Reason hate trans women who transition back to men after competition?
Very brave woman.
I only transition to use the woman's bathroom.
Export every unemployed, lazy, whiny American for every 10 immigrants who come here to work.
Why not one for one?
No no. He's telling you to export every X for every 10 Y. You need to export the entirety of X multiple times, reimport them, and export them again.
A lot more work then dumping the progs into landfills, but I expect the American people don’t quite have the stomach for that.
Reverse those numbers and you're onto something.
I guess I'm surprised that Reason talked to Zuby because Zuby has planted his feet squarely in the middle of Kultur Warr Hurr Durr that Reason seems to be determined to... at worst, pretend it doesn't exist, or at best occasionally notes its excesses, but strangely avoids its WORST excesses.
You mean avoids or excuses exclusively one sides excesses don't you. Limit abortion at all and you get 50 articles about the coming apocalypse, expand abortion to post birth and there is maybe a both sides article about the state of the current abortion proposals.
Zuby is infinitely better than Reason.
I'm surprised he would talk to them.
Me too, to be honest.
I keep seeing the John Deere deer in that necklace.
Zuby reminds me of Will Smith pre-slap. He's the kind of guy I like working with: motivated for the right reasons, whose outside the USA experience taught him what lack of freedom is (and I agree having lived abroad, most Americans have no idea what it's like to live with less freedom - and it's a far less prosperous existence), and who is "a one-man army" striving to achieve his potential.
That's something worth applauding. And Zuby is right that doing that work is so emotionally satisfying and rewarding.
Aren't the "rights" of trans people just forcing someone to accommodate them on their own private property?
I never heard of this person.
Now I like him.
