You Asked, We Told: The Reason Roundtable Fields Your Questions
From COVID-19 to "cocktail parties," anarchism to A.I., baseball to D&D, the podcast tackles your queries in a special webathon video episode!
HD DownloadHow does Katherine Mangu-Ward deal with all the damn statists surrounding her at work? How does Peter Suderman imagine persuading people that more government control of health insurance is not the way to better outcomes? Why do none of Nick Gillespie's cultural references post-date 1965? WTF is going on with Matt Welch's hair?
These questions and more were flung, with affection and occasional bite, by the beloved listeners of our weekly Reason Roundtable podcast. Today, in a special midweek video episode, we continue our tradition of answering them as part of Reason's annual webathon, in which we try to persuade you to make a modest (or immodest!) tax-deductible donation to the nonprofit foundation that publishes our work. Speaking of which…
PLEASE, BROTHER, COULD YOU SPARE A DONATION RIGHT THE HELL NOW? I mean, there's a $25,000 challenge grant and everything!
Here we are trying our level best to respond to your suggestions (no, we probably won't do a late-night weed podcast just yet), your quick-hit stumpers (favorite Twitter accounts; most libertarian sitcom characters), your fantasies about imaginary cocktail parties, and also your deep questions about COVID-19, libertarianism, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, artificial intelligence, Section 230, and much, much more. Enjoy!

Why don't all you Commies quit unreason?
I'm so surprised you hate Reason out of all people because you have learned so much through the articles and comments. Remember when you thought SCOTUS had original jurisdiction over any matter and that SCOTUS was the only court with nationwide jurisdiction? You've come a long way, you now copy/paste bolded excerpts from the constitution!
He still thinks tariffs aren't taxes, he still claims to pay his taxes voluntarily, he still equates anarchy and chaos, and he still says anarchists are not libertarians. Got a long ways to go.

Poor alphabet troll. Taxes are literally called a different word than taxes. In Commie-land, definitions of words are flexible so people can be manipulated.
Aw. Poor unreason trying to defend itself.
The comments and seeing what Commies are up to in the Propaganda game are the only reason to still come to unreason.com
I learn more from Ra's Al Gores morning links than ENB's twitter feed recap.
The fact that Reason deliberately ignored the Abraham Accords, Obama's spying and the Taliban peace deal, really hammered home the fact that they put establishment political narratives over libertarian reporting.
States like GA, PA, MI, WI, AZ, and NV are setting the stage to change their electors to Trump based on massive Democrats election fraud. Even if you dont agree with that political move, its news.
unreason (as well as MSM) refuses to cover the election fraud events unfolding in the hopes they dont work.

All those states had state legislature hearings.

Not sure who you're talking too,
Anyone left of Trump is a commie.
I concur. Glad to see you coming around to the right way of thinking.
You’re still a shreek tho.
Anyone Left of Libertarians are Commies.
You're an Anarchist. We know. You want America to burn so Anarchy-Land can rise from the ashes.
And you don't know squat about anarchy, shown by equating it to chaos.
You still think China is a free market actor.
Power abhors a vacuum. Anarchy doesn't necessarily mean chaos, but the kind of anarchy you're speaking of is a pipe dream.
There may be a universe out there where anarcho-capitalism works, but in this universe, you still have Tony's and Shriek's and Kristol's and McCain's who wish to rule over their fellow man.
Interesting take from the guy who thinks you can be left of Pol Pot and still be libertarian.
They all think globalists are for liberty.
The tyrants have been trying to chop down the Tree of Liberty for over 200 years.
Look who's talking too!
Katherine....If you do nothing else for 2021, please get rid of the fucking spambots. Tattoo this goal on your forehead. Meditate upon it day and night: Kill the Spambots!
They like the spambots, they dilute the comments.
Do you realize how rough it is to research Twitter all day and then write this amazing JournoList piece, only to have John or Ken destroy it in a couple of sentences? It's heartbreaking.
The spambots bury a lot of that... and Sqrlsy. Fifty feet of retard copypasta drives Ken's rebuttal way, way down. Nobody's going to scroll past all that drivel.

>>only to have John or Ken destroy it in a couple of sentences?
lol. love it.
When we're eating zoo animals in a dictatorship like Venezuelans, will you be glad for all the now empty immigrant owned food trucks?
Depends, what quality of zoo animal are we talking here?
Dibs on the wildebeest.
Zebra for me!
Ummmmm zebra..
Why do you think food trucks are an immigrant thing?
