Matt Welch Addresses Campaign Sound Bites on MSNBC Live
Reason's Matt Welch chimes in from "the kid's table" on Saturday afternoon's MSNBC Live to make sense of Obama's, "I cannot change Washington from the inside." Matt questions how any elected official can deliver on their promises of change without solid reform plans.
Matt also comments on Romney's "47%" soundbite, saying the former governor's figures and conclusions are wrong both numerically and politically. Economical determinism is a fallacy; the amount of money you make does not predetermine who you vote for. Additionally, the line between those who Romney says "take" and those who he says "give" does not fall directly on the party division.
