Not going to listen, but if someone does, can you fill me in on what this Bad Bunny story is all about?
Bugs dressed up as a woman is the only bad bunny I know of.
The Rabbit in Red (insert musical notes here)...
This is the important info I came for as well.
It's about a guy who speaks "spanish" and some people have identified as an odd 'dialect' of spanish, suggesting it's something unique to Puerto Rico. As someone who speaks enough Spanish (and has an excellent accent according to my Mexican Spanish teacher) to be dangerous, the only thing I ever found about the Ricans is they speak too quickly for me. Although I'm sure they have some localized vocabulary and colloquialisms as well.
However, according to a whole mess of shorts that came into my youtube and insta feeds from no-shit, flag waving Puerto Ricans, they couldn't understand a word of the halftime show.
Also, according some polling, it's mainly upper-middle class whites who love Bad Bunny, so there's that.
Puerto Ricans definitely speak a "muddy" form of Spanish. In normal conversation most can clean it up and slow down for you. Bad Bunny's diction is especially sloppy and was exceptionally so in the halftime show. The slang and inconsistencies in the dialect had me occasionally questioning if it was Portuguese.
Oh thank goodness. I was missing my hourly Bad Bunny fix.
How did you get down to hourly??
I admit, I'm completely out of any loop when it comes to this stuff, but it seems like there is NO drama anywhere but the media.
Like how reality TV would purposely create arguments amongst their contestants or choose people who were sociopathic narcissists (OC Choppers or that guy who made wheels for hot rods come to mind) to generate drama.
Nobody gives a shit about the bunny dude. It seems blatantly obvious that people are looking for things to scream about with Epstein and that exactly none of it has anything to do with any crimes the dude may have actually been involved in.
Yet drama in the press.
I admit, I'm completely out of any loop when it comes to this stuff, but it seems like there is NO drama anywhere but the media.
Predominantly, because BB mainly appeals to upper middle class whites. Think "world music for the NPR totebag crowd that thinks it's edgy by listening to a Puerto Rican mumble-rapper".
Learn to code.
It was nothing. It was never going to be anything but music.
Despite that, Orange Fuhrer and all the Faux News crowd got their collective undies all crumpled up and decried it as the FALL OF AMERICA and the worst thing to happen to football, etc.
The spiciest it got was Bunny had interpretive dancers make vague reference to the White House basically treating Puerto Rico like red-headed stepchildren instead of citizens over a months long power grid crisis that I'm not going into here.
Tame stuff, but the sacking of all that is good and holy if you listen to Trump stooges.
Complaints to the government in a foreign language causes the lyrics to literally fall on deaf ears.
Ah. You didn't understand him and are repeating what you're told.
