Brickbat: I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means

Olympia Capitol buildingVictoria Ditkovsky / Dreamstime.comAfter a judge ruled that lawmakers had been illegally withholding records such as emails and their daily calendars from the press and public, the Washington legislature rushed through a bill exempting most of those records from the state's Public Records Act. They hailed it as a win for transparency since they'd previously been withholding almost all records. After a public outcry, Gov. Jay Inslee vetoed the bill.
