The head of Irvington's sewer and street division was arrested today on charges he used heavy-duty vehicles purchased by the town in a private construction project, officials said.

James Ryan, 46, was charged with corruption after an anonymous complaint sparked an investigation, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray said.
