GOP Representative Doesn't Believe in Life of Mother Exception for Abortion

Says medical technology rules out such cases

Republican Rep. Joe Walsh told reporters Thursday that it is not necessary to perform an abortion on a woman to save her life.

"There is no such exception as life of the mother, and as far as health of the mother, same thing, with advances in science and technology," Walsh said. " 'Health of the mother' has become a tool for abortions anytime, for any reason.
