Nude models in France protested a government ban on accepting tips in government buildings. The move effectively ended the practice of tipping by students, which can account for up to a quarter of a model's earnings, in art schools, which are often housed in government buildings. The models also want state recognition of their jobs, which would entitle them to sick pay and other government benefits.
