National Geographic Channel Boss Defends Seal Team Six Film

Some Republicans have said the timing of the film's release is political

The team behind the TV movie Seal Team Six: The Raid On Osama Bin Laden have denied the film was recut to show Barack Obama in a better light.

National Geographic Channel boss David Lyle admitted the film had been edited—but said this had been done to show less footage of the president, not more.

"I think the end titles run longer than Obama's time on screen," Mr Lyle said.

The movie has been accused by Republicans of having a political agenda, in part because its November 4 premiere date comes two days ahead of the US election.
