Iran Urges Developing Countries to Reject "Unilateral" Sanctions at Start of Summit

The non-aligned movement arose in the Cold War and includes 119 countries from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has called on the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to oppose the imposition of unilateral sanctions by certain states against its members.   

Salehi made the remarks during an opening speech of the XVI Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, which began in Tehran on Sunday and closes on Friday.
