Laurie Moore, a senior investigator with the Albany County, New York, Sheriff's Office, faces misdemeanor charges of official misconduct and falsifying business records after investigators accused her of abusing access to law-enforcement databases. Officials say starting in late 2024, Moore conducted over 4,000 unauthorized searches of the Flock license plate reader database, looking for five people she knew. The total included around 3,000 searches tracking the vehicle of a former girlfriend, and four other plates she searched hundreds of times each. Moore was suspended indefinitely pending administrative action.
