Brickbat: What the Flock

Police in Brookfield, Wisconsin, made a high-risk traffic stop on Interstate 94 after a Flock Safety camera flagged a vehicle as being connected to a Milwaukee homicide investigation. Officers stopped the car at gunpoint and ordered the two occupants out but quickly discovered they were not who police were looking for. Milwaukee police later admitted that they had already cleared the vehicle from the investigation but had failed to cancel or remove the alert from the Flock system, allowing the outdated information to be shared with other agencies. Milwaukee police called it a personnel error rather than a problem with Flock itself.
