Brickbat: Where's the Fire?
Prosecutors in Aurora, Colorado, declined to file criminal charges against two firefighters who were recorded in February driving a fire engine at high speed, activating spotlights, and swerving into the oncoming lane, which forced a police vehicle off the road—actions Assistant District Attorney Ryan Brackley described as "childish and foolish." Though they will face no charges, the driver and lieutenant on the fire engine were demoted by the department.

In Ohio , both lanes are to pull over and clear the road for emergence vehicles . I've seen fire trucks go right down the middle many times.
...with their sirens on ...to a fire or emergency ....with a full team of firefighters and gear.
Otherwise they're in their lane obeying traffic signals. Not swerving between lanes in unsuspecting traffic endangering people's lives like a taxi cab.
Where's the fi-
Oh, Oliver already did that in the title. Anyway, it looks like the district attorney understands that it won't be the coppers he's relying on to put out his house if it ever does catch fire.
Where’s the beef?
Government employees behaving badly - and appropriately punished for it. Where's the "brickbat"?
