Does Mamdani's Win Matter Elsewhere?

Plus: Teachers union thinks your kids belong to them, more Jerome Powell antagonism, and more...

(Derek French/UPI/Newscom)

Does Zohran Mamdani's win have implications for other Dems? "Nearly 20 incumbent House Democrats who are either running for reelection or haven't announced their 2026 plans are facing at least one primary challenger," reports Axios. Democrats across the nation and in Congress in particular are trying to figure out whether to read socialist Zohran Mamdani's New York City mayoral primary upset (against former governor Andrew Cuomo, who was embroiled in a sex scandal as he left office) as something with broader implications for the great battle between progressives and the establishment. "I think you'll see about 30% of members face primary challenges," one progressive in the House told Axios. "People have anxiety, rightfully so. Their hair is on fire."

Get your morning news roundup from Liz Wolfe and Reason.

Others have advocated taking the Mamdani win with a grain of salt, noting the profound unpopularity of his opponent.

"It was an indictment of Cuomo, and it was an indication that people in New York, who are a very liberal crowd, want to see a lot of changes in government," Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) told Axios.

"It's a national election, not just a New York City election," said Democratic strategist James Carville. "Everybody will have to weigh in one way or another. Everybody is going to be asked, do they support him?"

The New York Times' postmortem on the primary also seems to suggest Mamdani's win has big implications: "The national Democratic establishment on Tuesday night struggled to absorb the startling ascent of a democratic socialist in New York City who embraced a progressive economic agenda and diverged from the party's dominant position on the Middle East." Mamdani focused on cost of living (delivering all the wrong fixes, to be clear) and carved out a staunchly pro-Palestine, anti-Israel stance that diverges from most other Democrats (including other up-and-comers like Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro). Interestingly, Mamdani also fared very poorly with black voters, suggesting that maybe that stronghold of support is breaking.

Your children belong to the teachers union: "[Activist James] Baldwin says the children are always ours. Every single one of them, all over the globe. And what comes next is 'CTU thinks your children are its children.' Yes, we do. We do. We do," Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) President Stacy Davis Gates said in a speech at the City Club of Chicago on Monday. "'CTU thinks all children belong to it. And they're a socialist conspiracy ideology.' Well, I don't know about all that, but we like children. We educate them, we nurture them, we protect them, we support them, we negotiate for them, we create space for them. We even have them in our homes."

Davis Gates seemed aware she was stirring the pot.

"The irony is glaring: if the CTU were a parent, it would lose custody for educational neglect and abuse, given the catastrophic failure of Chicago's public schools," responded school choice advocate and Reason Foundation Senior Fellow Corey DeAngelis.

Davis Gates is wrong in more ways than one. The teachers union's job, at a very fundamental level, is not to negotiate for the children; it's to negotiate for the workers, the teachers. Those interests are sometimes aligned, sometimes at odds. Consider COVID-19, for example, when teachers claimed they needed no in-person learning for months at a time due to purported fears of contagion, which was directly at odds with the learning needs of their students. Or consider the many calls for higher wages, which are infrequently coupled with stricter metrics for results; in a more just world, teachers would only get pay raises if student performance were improving. But teachers unions aren't making those stipulations, broadly speaking.

QUICK HITS

  • President Donald Trump, who has toyed with dismissing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell due to his refusal to slash interest rates at the president's behest, is now considering messing with Powell by announcing his successor early, some 11 months before the current Fed Chair's term is set to expire. "He's an average mentally person," said Trump on Wednesday, "low IQ for what he does." Trump continued: "I think he's a very stupid person, actually." (Trump nominated Powell during his first term, in 2017.)
  • We live in a gerontocracy: 88-year-old Rep. Eleanor Norton (D–D.C.) has announced she will seek reelection in 2026.
  • Chinese makeup brands ascendant.
  • Inside the congressional fight to shutter Voice of America and other broadcasting entities that rely on federal dollars.

Team D's best hope here is to abandon the party to the radicals and start a third, more centrist party. These people make Bill Clinton look like William Buckley.

Lots of people have tried. If the dems stick with their insane bullshit, the time may be ripe. I tend to think that they will eventually reorient if they manage to lose more of their usual urban base rather than fail completely. But a new party doesn't seem out of the question if they stick with gay race communism.

They are building a coalition opposite of Trump's. They have a bunch of rich Jewish people, a PILE of anti-Semites, wealthy people that love big government, and a whole bunch of the socialist/communist/Marxist crowd. Most of these groups are at real odds with others. The Trump crowd is very diverse, but there aren't a bunch of groups that hate the other groups in it.

This coalition is centered solely around the manufactured hate for Donald J. Trump. The second this man is no longer a factor they will begin to eat each other.
Meanwhile, on the other side is an actual coalition of shared positive interests that revolves around working-class classic liberalism.

Reminder, Marxism and all its offshoots like gender queer theory hate the family...and the expect socialist education to own those children, to turn them into good little worker comrades.

    -------------

Abolition [Aufhebung] of the family! Even the most radical flare up at this infamous proposal of the Communists.

On what foundation is the present family, the bourgeois family, based? On capital, on private gain. In its completely developed form, this family exists only among the bourgeoisie. But this state of things finds its complement in the practical absence of the family among the proletarians, and in public prostitution.

The bourgeois family will vanish as a matter of course when its complement vanishes, and both will vanish with the vanishing of capital.

Do you charge us with wanting to stop the exploitation of children by their parents? To this crime we plead guilty.

But, you say, we destroy the most hallowed of relations, when we replace home education by social.

And your education! Is not that also social, and determined by the social conditions under which you educate, by the intervention direct or indirect, of society, by means of schools, &c.? The Communists have not invented the intervention of society in education; they do but seek to alter the character of that intervention, and to rescue education from the influence of the ruling class.

The bourgeois clap-trap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parents and child, becomes all the more disgusting, the more, by the action of Modern Industry, all the family ties among the proletarians are torn asunder, and their children transformed into simple articles of commerce and instruments of labour.

DHS sues entire Maryland federal inferior court system after they issued an order for clerks to issue a TRO on any immigration case.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-dhs-sues-entire-bench-federal-judges-maryland-district-court-over-automatic-injunctions

The Maryland court's standing order requires clerks to immediately enter temporary administrative injunctions in cases brought by alleged illegal immigrants who are challenging their detention.

"The recent influx of habeas petitions concerning alien detainees purportedly subject to improper and imminent removal from the United States that have been filed after normal court hours and on weekends and holidays has created scheduling difficulties and resulted in hurried and frustrating hearings in that obtaining clear and concrete information about the location and status of the petitioners is elusive," the court order stated.

So once again no rules for allowing illegals to stay. May rules for deporting.

    - Abolish NYPD
    - Abolish prisons
    - Abolish medical bills
    - Abolish private health insurance
    - Ban all guns
    - Legalize sex work
    - Safe injection sites

          [...]
"Cynthia Gonzalez, who serves as vice mayor of Cudahy, a city located in southeast Los Angeles County, uploaded a video on social media where she complained about 18th Street and Florencia 13 gang members not doing anything to stop Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from conducting enforcement operations, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
“I wanna know where all the cholos are at in Los Angeles — 18th Street, Florencia. Where’s the leadership at?” Gonzalez says in the video. A “cholo” is a slang term, typically referring to a young hispanic male involved in gang activity."

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/after-36-years-in-l-a-grandmother-self-deports-to-mexico-leaves-family-behind/ar-AA1HmiNf

As U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement stepped up raids across Los Angeles in recent weeks, Julie Ear and her family made a difficult drive to Tijuana International Airport just south of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Ear's mother, Regina Higuera, had lived in the United States for 36 years. But on this particular morning in early June, she left her home, her children and grandchildren — all of whom are U.S. citizens — and headed back to her birthplace in Mexico.

I like how the tax is "punishing" and "double taxation", as if the local 8.25% sales tax is a mere pittance and not double taxation. And cry me a fucking river..."experts warned the tax would harm economies abroad". Here's Trump actually RAISING taxes--a sine qua non of progressives--and all anyone can do is complain about it.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/citizenship-verification-requirement-to-send-money-home-raises-alarm-among-indian-americans/ar-AA1HpQox

    A punishing 3.5% tax + citizenship verification

Buried in the expansive “One Big Beautiful” bill is a little-noticed provision that could have major consequences for the Indian diaspora. The clause introduces a 3.5% tax on remittances sent abroad by foreign workers, including green card holders and temporary visa holders such as those on H-1B visas. For India—the world’s leading recipient of remittances—the proposed tax could have far-reaching economic and social effects, experts caution.

While U.S. citizens like Ajay are technically exempt from the tax, they still need to verify their citizenship status, adding a layer of complexity to a routine monthly transaction and opening the door to potential fraud.

At a June 6 American Community Media (ACom) briefing titled Taxing Remittances—A New Front in War on Immigrants, experts warned the tax would harm economies abroad, especially in lower-income countries where remittances account for up to 30% of GDP. Immigrant advocates argued that the proposal represents a form of double taxation as senders — including millions of undocumented immigrants — already pay income tax on their earnings.

One of the things that gets absolutely no coverage is the insane amount of in-group hiring preference among the pajeets and the money they all send home to their relatives.

The US does not need to be a fucking paypiggy or juicebox for the rest of the world. If these countries can't survive without their people sending home American dollars on a consistent basis, then they need to either collapse or allow us to make them our official vassals.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/a-judge-resisted-trump-s-order-on-gender-identity-the-eeoc-just-fired-her/ar-AA1Hqbix

In February, Administrative Judge Karen Ortiz, who worked in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s New York office, called Trump’s order “unethical" and criticized Acting Chair Andrea Lucas — Trump's pick to lead the agency — for complying with it by pausing work on legal cases involving discrimination claims from transgender workers. In an email copied to more than 1,000 colleagues, Ortiz pressed Lucas to resign.

Ortiz was fired on Tuesday after being placed on administrative leave last month. The EEOC declined Wednesday to comment on the termination, saying it does not comment on personnel matters.

During the 400-meter hurdles at the Golden Spike meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic, Robinson’s shorts shifted mid-race, briefly exposing him as he cleared the final hurdles. The incident occurred as the 24-year-old was leading the pack in the final stretch.

Despite the surprise malfunction, Robinson powered through, crossing the finish line first with a time of 48.05 seconds.

As seen in clips of the race, cameras captured the moment his shorts rode up, prompting an uncomfortable but determined attempt to adjust them on the fly — all while Robinson sprinted and leaped over hurdles.

He managed to regain composure, finishing strong and maintaining his lead. As he fell forward over the finish line, he was briefly exposed again.

“He will never wear shorts again to run,” one X user wrote.

Another quipped: “Fortunately, the man's packing and still managed to win. That's boss moves right there.”

    https://x.com/datarepublican/status/1938072642374058297?s=46&t=qeA47-JjK6vq0pfnxg60dA

THREAD: The history of Medea Benjamin, co-founder of CODE PINK

Jodie Evans gets most of the attention as the co-founder of CODEPINK and Neville Singham's wife. But Medea Benjamin's history may be more interesting.

While creating the linked thread below, I dived into Medea Bejamin briefly - who had an interesting history of speaking to Chinese media.

She co-founded Global Exchange with her husband, Kevin Danaher, which goes on a number of "Reality Trips" to various closed countries - Cuba, Venezuela, among others.

If you've followed me long enough ... you know that's a big red flag. State-facilitated exchange trips are one of the most common "soft power" tools that countries have in exporting their ideology to others.

Benjamin, per SFGate, has been a career activist since her college years, spending much of her time overseas in Africa. The Wikipedia page says that she joined Students for a Democratic Society in college - if so, this makes her yet another homegrown career NGO-ist.

The prior thread mentioned briefly that she went to Cuba from 1979 to 1983 to work as a translator for their official Communist Party newspaper. She lauded their comparative social equality, describing it as "I died and went to heaven."

She got deported after writing an anti-government article, having overestimated Cuba's taste for freedom of speech.

In 1988, she co-founded Global Exchange. The SFGate article credits her father as having backed it with hundreds of thousands of dollars, despite them disagreeing vehemently on the issue of Palestine.

Global Exchange engages in "people-to-people" diplomacy by taking it on various tours of countries. But these type of trips are often done so with government backing. For instance, the Cuban trips are done with "Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples" as the hosting institution.

Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples (ICAP) was formed by Fidel Castro himself in 1960. So, Medea is literally taking people on Cuban tours to a state-linked institute formed by Castro himself.

Another "Reality Tour" country which Global Exchange has visited is Nicaragua. I had to go back to the web archives to find the itinerary ... and it talks about meeting with representatives of Sandinistas.

The Sandinistas are a left-wing political party which was once at the center of a CIA coup. It is the party which Daniel Ortega belongs to.

So, yes, Medea Benjamin's Global Exchange took others on a trip to Nicaragua to meet the left-wing activists there.

There is no United States embassy in Iran, so it is notoriously difficult to visit there. Yet, Medea Benjamin herself was able to take a 28-person "people-to-people" delegate to Iran and speak to government officials there.

In fact, the Global Exchange delegation to Iran was so unusual that Medea Benjamin came under FBI scrutiny for it. This was reported in Tehran Times, an Iranian state-controlled news outlet.

Global Exchange also went to China. An article mentioned meeting with NGOs there but I could not find specifics.

Global Exchange also visited Venezuela - back then, Venezuela was promoting luxury people-to-people exchanges with the tourists meeting Chavez himself.

Medea Benjamin's affiliation with Venezuela goes beyond making tours. She was one of the activists squatting at the Venezuelan embassy in 2019 to support the installation of Maduro as President.

Hugo Chavez himself actively worked through Medea Benjamin by creating its own mouthpiece, Venezuela Information Office, and tapping into Global Exchange for activism.

In short, Medea Benjamin and Global Exchange have been working with adversarial foreign governments all over the world. Not only that, but they have been at the center of many protests - per last post, the 1999 Seattle WTO riots among them.

Perhaps a FARA investigation is in order.

And never forget: the Democratic party has a foreign subversive problem.

    Thread end.

I lied. Global Exchange is a 501(c)(3) - EIN 94-3066686. 26 U.S. Code § 501(c)(3) prohibits political activity for nonprofits. This includes foreign contexts as well. Looks like I'll be writing another stern letter tomorrow.

Judge who demanded Garcia be released now keeping him in jail...to prevent deportation...

We've seen layers demanding that the Feds not drop charges against their clients, too, so that they might not be deported. Now judges are doing the same thing?

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/judge-keeps-kilmar-abrego-garcia-in-jail-over-concerns-ice-will-deport-him-immediately-after-release/ar-AA1Hqi8S

Kilmar Abrego Garcia will remain in jail for now after fears that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will swoop to deport him as soon as he is released.

Abrego Garcia’s attorneys expressed concern that his release would lead to immediate detention by ICE and deportation.

A federal judge ruled the Salvadoran father, who was criminally accused of human smuggling, has a right to be released and even set specific conditions.

But he will remain in jail for at least a few more days while attorneys spar over whether prosecutors can prevent Abrego Garcia's deportation if he is released to await trial.

People's Republic of California losing more industry and jobs...

    https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/another-california-business-chooses-texas-20392399.php

Another major company is fleeing California for the Lone Star State. Last week, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that hair care giant John Paul Mitchell Systems would be moving its headquarters from Santa Clarita in Southern California to Wilmer, Texas — a town of roughly 6,000 residents about 20 minutes outside Dallas.

The company, which encompasses popular lines like Paul Mitchell products and Neuro styling tools, has three partner schools in the Bay Area: in San Francisco’s SoMa district, at San Jose’s Eastridge Center shopping mall and in downtown Pleasant Hill. In 2022, John Paul Mitchell Systems hit the $1.1 billion revenue mark.

Beyond offices, the company will set up a global distribution center at its new Texas location. According to the news release, the move will create 80 jobs and bring $12 million dollars to Texas.

European soccer players suspended for refusing to wear rainbow flair. Ideas so good they must be brutally enforced...

    https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/06/25/why-are-footballers-being-forced-to-promote-pride/

The latest player to be benched for non-compliance is Lyon midfielder Nemanja Matić. The Serbian international and former Manchester United star was handed a two-match ban this month after taping over an LGBTQ-inclusion message on his shirt in a recent Ligue 1 fixture. He has been forced by the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) to attend an ‘awareness-raising campaign… against homophobia in football’. Otherwise, he would face an additional two-match ban.

Banning players for their personal views has become a common occurrence in French football. Indeed, in the same round of fixtures, Le Havre striker Ahmed Hassan also taped over the rainbow design and received the same sanction. Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed went further, withdrawing from his side’s relegation decider against Montpellier. In 2023, several Toulouse players were ‘withdrawn’ from the side after refusing to wear the insignia.

With Matić and Hassan the latest to join the ‘rainbow refuseniks’, the issue has drawn political attention. In May, France’s sports minister, Marie Barsacq, called for firm disciplinary measures against footballers who fail to comply. ‘Football has a massive platform’, she said, somewhat stating the obvious. ‘Society has evolved, and the language in football must change with it. There’s a full range of sanctions available, and they must be applied.’

      - Well, 15 is the minimum, okay?

      - Oh. Okay.

      - Now, you know, it's up to you whether or not you wanna just do the bare minimum or...

      - Well, like Brian, for example, has 37 pieces of flair on today. And a terrific smile.

      - Okay, so you want me to wear more?

      - Look, people can get a cheeseburger anywhere, okay?

      - They come to Chotchkie's for the atmosphere and the attitude.

Joanna: You know what, Stan, if you want me to wear 37 pieces of flair, like your pretty boy over there, Brian, why don't you just make the minimum 37 pieces of flair?

Stan, Chotchkie's Manager: Well, I thought I remembered you saying that you wanted to express yourself.

Joanna: Yeah. You know what, yeah, I do. I do want to express myself, okay. And I don't need 37 pieces of flair to do it.

"Somehow people came to believe the wealthy don’t pay taxes (at every level they pay a very disproportionate share) and that things like government run groceries and rent control are effective"

Its almost like they have spent the last few decades in the media in academia lying and saying things that were blatantly untrue to create a revolutionary class of foot soldiers that want to burn everything down.

This is how whoopi and people like her come to think that being alive as a black person in America is more oppressive than living in Iran or the gaza strip. They have been told racism has never been worse, and they live in a white supremacist hell hole

This is why the young commies think that taxing the rich is the answer, because they really believe the little guy is paying all the tax, and the wealthy pay nothing

This is why the LGBTQ folks think they are the most oppressed group, despite being depicted as brave heroes in every TV show, movie, commercial, with unlimited days/weeks/months on the calendar to celebrate them

This is why they think capitalism is an absolute terrible failure and is cruel, despite it leading to all the major advances and QOL of our time, and making every income grouping richer in capitalist countries compared to socialist ones.

This is why they think democracy is at risk, despite the candidate who won the electoral college AND the popular vote winning the election.

They have been gaslit to infinity and they dont know any objective truth. The know THEIR truth, and its full on brain rot indoctrination

    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/jeff-charles/2025/06/25/class-action-lawsuit-against-wayne-county-sheriffs-civil-asset-forfeiture-program-n2658906

Wayne County has employed a civil asset forfeiture scheme that has ensnared numerous victims whose vehicles were stolen by the local government. Now, the county is facing a legal reckoning over its program.

Civil asset forfeiture empowers law enforcement to seize property they suspect of being connected to criminal activity, regardless of whether there are charges or even a conviction. The practice, known as “Policing for Profit,” was initially intended to dismantle criminal enterprises. But for many law enforcement agencies, it has become little more than a revenue-generation tactic.

Just a few days before the first match of the home European Championship, the women's national team tested against the U15s of FC Luzern - and lost 1:7 to the boys.

The SFA did not announce the result. According to the association, it is not true that this was done for fear of nasty comments, as reported by "Tele Züri".

Common comment on the interwebs is that for true equality, the U15 boys team should at least be getting paid as much as the women's national team.

I attended the shiva for my best friend's father yesterday. Here is what AI has to say about him:

Michael H. Hart (April 27, 1932 – June 23, 2025) was an American astrophysicist, author, and white nationalist known for his work on the Fermi paradox and his controversial book "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History".

If you have ever thought that "white nationalist" had any deeper meaning other than "someone who says things that make me uncomfortable", you are a fucking idiot. Hart was a practicing Jew, had 3 PhDs, loved history and never expressed hatred for anyone. It is not "controversial" that his book ranked Muhammed as the most influential person who ever lived, nor that he was elated on Saturday when he learned that Israel had finally bombed Iran.

He was probably the smartest man I have ever known and he is labeled a white nationalist for the same reason as Charles Murray. Because he refused to ignore all of the replicable scientific evidence that there are measurable differences in the average intelligence of humans based on their regional ancestry. An observation he never attributed to race, but to climate temperature differentials.

He postulated that going all the way back to homo sapiens sapiens driving out neanderthals that higher intelligence is naturally selected for humans in colder climates due to increased competition for scarce resources and more specifically, the necessity of planning for long winters. I always thought of it as identifying the ants and the grasshoppers throughout history.

I learned that he famously pissed off Carl Sagan (for his work on the Fermi Paradox) and David Duke (for shouting him down as "a fucking Nazi" at a conference). He also received a medal and a kiss on the cheek from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who had no idea he was Jewish.

This post won't correct the record anywhere, but I just thought someone should know.

My condolences to your friend. The moral opposition to the fact that high intelligence is inheritable, derives from, and is just as wrong as the idea that having very high intelligence is morally and biologically superior, or that very high intelligence is limited to only one group. Ashkenazi Jews and Nigerian Igbo are every bit as intelligent as Han Chinese.

"He postulated that going all the way back to homo sapiens sapiens driving out Neanderthals that higher intelligence is naturally selected for humans in colder climates due to increased competition for scarce resources and more specifically, the necessity of planning for long winters."

The recent paleogenomic revolution has fundamentally reshaped our understanding of this period in human prehistory.

While modern Eurasians retain only about 2–3% Neanderthal DNA on average due to negative selection, this does not mean we all inherited the same segments. Collectively, around 94% of the Neanderthal genome still exists within the modern Eurasian gene pool. In this sense, Neanderthals are not extinct, they persist within us.

Over a span of 5,000 to 7,000 years, a population of Middle Eastern Neanderthals gradually absorbed successive waves of incoming anatomically "modern" humans. By the end of this period, the resulting population was approximately 60–70% "modern" human in ancestry. This admixed group then diversified into several genetically distinct lineages, though only two, those ancestral to modern East and West Eurasians, survive today.

Interestingly, the first members of this hybrid population to settle in Europe were not the ancestors of modern West Eurasians. They represented a now-extinct offshoot that readily interbred with European Neanderthals. The archaeological record suggests a period of coexistence with little evidence of sustained conflict.

This group, along with the last European Neanderthals, abruptly disappeared around 40,000 years ago. A likely cause is the catastrophic eruption of the Campi Flegrei supervolcano in southern Italy, near present-day Naples, one of the most powerful volcanic events of the last 100,000 years.

In the aftermath of this extinction event, West Eurasian groups began entering the now-vacant European landscape.

Because skin color is the most important thing...the video evidence that shows no physical altercation before the stabbing?

    https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2025/06/25/spokesman-for-karmelo-anthonys-family-asks-supporters-help-fight-against-white-supremacy/

Dominique Alexander, spokesman for the family of Karmelo Anthony, characterized the teen’s murder trial for the death of Austin Metcalf as a fight against “white supremacy.”

Alexander, president of the Next Generation Action Network (NGAN), made his claim in an announcement on X following Anthony’s indictment.

“This case involves multiple minors and sensitive details that I cannot and will not speak about publicly,” he said. “That is why, from the beginning, I have refused to let this be tried in the court of public opinion.”

Alexander then said that people have “targeted” Karmelo Anthony.

“To the racists, the bigots, and those filled with hate who’ve targeted Karmelo, his family, and even myself, you do not intimidate us. We are not backing down,” he said.

“This case is yet another example of what it means to be Black in America, where even our self-defense is questioned, scrutinized, and politicized. My involvement – like many others — came as a direct response to the overwhelming hate, threats, and outside influence that have surrounded this case since day one,” he added.

Alexander then asked people to “[s]tand with us in the fight against white supremacy.”

We can argue logically that this is nothing like Rittenhouse, who was being chased by a screaming shitbag and didn't fire the first shot. The stabbing was an escalation of force over being pushed and it occurred in a location where weapons are specifically prohibited. Unless the police somehow get to an OJ level of fucking up, there is little chance of him avoiding conviction.

Bringing up how or where his family is living is a cheap shot. I can guarantee you that in suburban Texas killing a beautiful captain of the football team is going to bring death threats and assholes hell bent on making your life miserable. Do you expect his parents to abandon him?
