'Evacuate Tehran'
Plus: A bipartisan effort to prevent American involvement in the war, ICE workplace raids to begin again, and more...

President Donald Trump warned Iranians to "immediately evacuate Tehran" in a Monday afternoon post on Truth Social, raising the prospect of a major escalation in the ongoing war between Israel and Iran—or suggesting that America might join the conflict in a more direct way.
Get your morning news roundup from Liz Wolfe and Reason.
Or was that statement just Trumpian bluster that everyone should ignore? The White House pretty quickly walked back the seriousness of Trump's post. One official told CNN that Trump's statement merely "reflected the urgency of the need for Iran to come to the table" for negotiations, while an administration spokesman told Axios that "American forces are maintaining their defensive posture, and that has not changed."
Well, OK. But who is actually in charge over there? When the president of the United States speaks (or posts), people listen. And telling a city of 17 million that is currently under bombardment to immediately "evacuate" is a serious thing, even if the president's handlers want everyone to ignore it.
Congress? Doing something? Probably not, but maybe! Rep. Thomas Massie (R–Ky.) said Monday that he will introduce a resolution today that would prohibit American involvement in the Iran-Israel war.
"This is not our war," Massie wrote on X. "But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution."
He got some immediate support from across the aisle. Rep. Ro Khanna (D–Calif.) is co-sponsoring the resolution, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D–N.Y.) chimed in to say she was "signing on" to the proposal as well. Meanwhile, Sen. Tim Kaine (D–Va.) has introduced his own resolution in the upper chamber to curtail American involvement in the conflict.
These congressional efforts draw upon the War Powers Resolution of 1973, which Congress passed over the veto of then-President Richard Nixon in response to U.S. bombings in Cambodia. Imagine a legislature willing to do that! The law requires that presidents get approval from Congress before committing American forces—either a declaration of war or an authorization for the use of military force—and allows Congress to terminate any ongoing, unauthorized deployment. As Kaine's office says, the resolution ensures "a public debate and vote in Congress as intended by the framers of the Constitution."
That's important. So, too, is the clarity and stability that would result from a clear congressional signal about America's role in this conflict. The world clearly won't get that from the president.
Speaking of presidential instability: The Trump administration is reportedly restarting workplace immigration raids just days after pausing them amid public outrage and a behind-the-scenes lobbying effort by farms and the hospitality industry.
As I wrote in Monday's Roundup, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had told Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last week to "hold on all work site enforcement investigations/operations on agriculture (including aquaculture and meat packing plants), restaurants and operating hotels."
That order was reversed on Monday, The Washington Post reports, with new guidance delivered to ICE field offices. "There will be no safe spaces for industries who harbor violent criminals or purposely try to undermine ICE's efforts," Tricia McLaughlin, an assistant secretary for DHS, told the Post. "Worksite enforcement remains a cornerstone of our efforts to safeguard public safety, national security and economic stability."
This looks like another example of Trump simply going along with the most recent thing that an adviser whispered in his ear. Last week's decision to pause the workplace raids came after Trump met with Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins. Unsurprisingly, that decision did not sit well with Stephen Miller, who advocated in recent days for its reversal, the Post notes.
This on-again, off-again approach to policy has been a disaster when Trump has applied it to tariffs on imported goods. It is even worse when applied to actual human beings who are trying to earn a living.
And all of this is even more worrying because ICE does not seem to have much of a clue about who they are targeting for arrest and deportation:
"We know who we're targeting ahead of time" says the agency which randomly arrested a U.S. citizen walking around a suburb handing out his resume to local businesses when ICE surrounded him, handcuffed him, and detained him for 10 hours before checking his ID and releasing him. https://t.co/ytNTlpd3ka pic.twitter.com/fDAvthY9vC

Scenes from Virginia: This year's gubernatorial race in my home state will be an early indicator of how the midterms might go, but in some ways, I think the most interesting part of the campaign (still in the very early stages) is the identities of the major players.
Republicans nominated Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, a black woman, for governor. If she wins in November, Earle-Sears would be the first female governor of Virginia and the first black female governor of any state. John Reid, a conservative radio host and former U.S. Senate aide, is the GOP's nominee for lieutenant governor. He's the first openly gay candidate for any statewide office in Virginia's history.
Meanwhile, Democrats are running Abigail Spanberger, a former congresswoman, for governor. Though she would also be the first female governor in the state's history, the rest of her identity and resume—a white person from a small town who worked for the CIA and is best known politically for getting angry at progressives—seems more like what you might expect from a Republican nominee. (The Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor will be decided in today's primary election.)
I think this is all great. The scrambling of identity politics means that voters will have to interrogate their choices in ways that go beyond these silly, surface-level factors. This should be a fascinating race that might offer a preview of the next evolution of American politics outside the boundaries of the Old Dominion.
QUICK HITS
- A Russian attack on Ukraine that involved hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles killed at least 15 people, including one American.
- Banking executives warn that more exporters are looking to be paid in local currency, rather than American dollars, a signal that confidence in U.S. currency is trending downward.
- Kraft Heinz, the maker of such brightly colored products as Kool-Aid and Jell-O, will stop using all chemical dyes. MAHA, rejoice!
- Micron's plans to build a huge chip factory in upstate New York now face "challenges," and the plant is unlikely to be cost-competitive. (Remember: Onondaga County forced people to sell their homes under threat of eminent domain so it could give Micron a sweet deal.)
- Artificial intelligence will create new jobs.

President Donald Trump warned Iranians to "immediately evacuate Tehran" in a Monday afternoon post on Truth Social...
Who knew the Iranians were on Truth Social.
Only MAGA Iranians.
MIGA?
Make Iran Goboom Again?
LOL
Evacuation of a city under bombardment seems like sound advice.
If Boehm was willing to charitably consider the statement in the context of his track record then he would probably read it as Trump not wanting unnecessary deaths.
Remember when Gen. Mark "Traitor" Milley promised to call China to preemptively warn of any attacks which were not impending and his actions were lauded as reasonable and justified and totally not paranoid, treasonous insanity?
Yes. And I remember the Speaker of the House that conspired with Milley.
Nancy “CCP” Pelosi?
And telling a city of 17 million that is currently under bombardment to immediately "evacuate" is a serious thing...
Technically it's not bad advice for any of those individuals. Let's just hope pro-Palestine protestors don't block too many of the roads out of town.
Two takes on same event...
"Many can now see that the aim of this activism is not to feed people in Gaza but to feed the vanity of Westerners bored with their privileged lives. It’s an orgy of Orientalism in which the activist class cosplays as Arabs because they think it’s lame and shameful to be white.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2025/06/16/the-hilarious-collapse-of-the-cult-of-the-keffiyeh/
We saw a similar case of privileged Western delusion meeting reality in Egypt this weekend. Some 4,000 activists had descended on Cairo for the ‘Global March to Gaza’. They expected to take buses to Arish, a city in northern Sinai, before marching 30 miles to the Egyptian side of the Gaza border at Rafah. There they would break Israel’s blockade.
Instead, as they made their way to Arish, they were greeted by the Egyptian authorities. Videos of what happened have now emerged on social media. They show the Egyptian authorities confiscating passports and preventing the mainly white European activists from passing through checkpoints. They also show the activists being violently and verbally abused by angry locals – all before they were eventually removed and prepared for deportation.
The protesters’ videos testify to the marchers’ abject ignorance. If they had known anything about the regional situation, they would have known the march was never going to happen. There certainly wasn’t a chance they would ever make it into Gaza. There is a kilometre-wide buffer zone all along the Egyptian border. There are 20-foot-high concrete walls and fences, which reach 30 feet below ground, equipped with seismic sensors. After terror attacks from Gaza on Egyptians, the Egyptian government has spent tens of millions building one of the most impenetrable borders in the world.
Egypt’s rulers might claim to support Palestinian rights, but the last place they want the Gazans to be is in Egypt. Egypt has no illusions about the threat posed by Hamas and its deep roots in Palestinian society. So even with a humanitarian crisis raging in Gaza, the Egyptian border remains firmly shut – the same border, that is, that Western pro-Palestinian activists ignore when they claim that Israel solely controls access to Gaza.
They show the Egyptian authorities confiscating passports and preventing the mainly white European activists from passing through checkpoints. They also show the activists being violently and verbally abused by angry locals – all before they were eventually removed and prepared for deportation.
Leave it to the racist camel jockeys to turn away political refugees trying to bring some diversity, culture, and Hotdish Trucks to their backwards villages and towns.
There are 20-foot-high concrete walls and fences, which reach 30 feet below ground, ..
I was told walls don’t work.
To be fair, Mexico isn’t paying for this wall, the US is.
They had me at seismic sensors.
Hopefully they got to see the pyramids before being sent back. Covid was a bitch for tourism.
Seeing the pyramids is worth the effort.
Covid was a bitch for tourism.
Why does no one ever think of the pickpockets?
What's going on with Spiked over here?
Bunch of seditious libertarian claptrap. Good thing Reason would never publish anything as hateful as this:
"I know there’s a lot going on in the world right now, but can we please not overlook how unbelievably hilarious it is that the Global March to Gaza has been thwarted by angry Arabs. That this swarm of pompous gits who fantasised that they would shield the Arabs of Gaza from the ‘genocidal lunacy’ of the Jewish State were instead roughed up by the Arabs of Egypt who don’t want their nation used as a stage for moral masturbation by every puffed-up Palestine fetishist of the West. That instead of getting bottles of water to Gaza, these people had bottles of water lobbed at their own heads by pissed-off Egyptians. The mirth of it all might just get me through the rest of this year."
They can't wrap their heads around the fact that most Muslims and most Muslim countries want no part of the Palestinians.
Learned experience.
Essentially, they fucked around with Egyptian authorities and found out the hard way.
Speaking of presidential instability:
Or is it 4-D chess?
What difference, at this point, does it make?
No, it's an attempt by a TDS-addled shit-pile to comment on Trump.
I disagree all Muslims should immediately go to terhan.
Lol.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R–Ky.) said Monday that he will introduce a resolution today that would prohibit American involvement in the Iran-Israel war.
Congress better not stop Raytheon from turning a profit on it, though, for the sake of their own portfolios.
"This is not our war," Massie wrote on X. "But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution."
That's generally correct, assuming that Iran doesn't do something stupid like attack US assets.
And to make sure they don’t, we’re moving US Navy assets closer to Iran, for convenience.
Does that include the (former) USNS Harvey Milk?
If they attack the Milk, is that a hate crime? Do they get an additional 5 years of bombing on top?
Or would it be bombing on the bottom?
Yes, especially if it’s attacked from behind.
There will obviously be a carve out for "defensive action."
Which is the primary role of the US in this war...
Kraft Heinz, the maker of such brightly colored products as Kool-Aid and Jell-O, will stop using all chemical dyes. MAHA, rejoice!
Certainly somebody, somewhere, will find a way to criticize this.
Purple drank will be less purple?
It will dyed "Imperial Purple" using the shells of the spiny dye-murex.
It will now cost $200 a glass.
all chemical dyes
It's all fun and games until your orange-flavored clearish liquid and gelatinous pile is indistinguishable your grape-flavored clearish liquid and gelatinous pile.
You will use the uncolored lime gelatin pile to wash down the bugs and you will like it.
Is it possible to have a dye which is not a chemical? Is this like the 'nuclear free zones' which are pretty much a vacuum?
Cochineal covers both, they are a red dye and a bug.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochineal
Technically the color comes from a chemical present in the bug.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmine
It could be derived synthetically. It is a molecule build up around an aluminum atom. They can also manipulate it in the lab to be different colors like blue. Will lab carmine be ok? Or does it have to be bug juice?
But, as any English major can explain, "chemicals" are bad things that must be banned. Whatever is in those free-range, artisan, organic foods at the hipster farmers markets are NOT chemicals.
Just like how whatever is in burbling, natural spring water must be good for you, including arsenic.
A little arsenic gives it that saught after taste.
Anywhere in space around the sun you will be exposed to gamma radiation, so good luck finding anywhere.
Maybe when all kids are plugged into augmented reality - food can come with vr augmentation software that colors the food within the users visual field?
Now that's the kind of marketing genius that is so lacking in the fake salmon business.
Does this mean they'll increase use of carmine color, which is not artificial dye, but a natural red dye derived from crushing the cochineal insect?
Presidential instability? Bohem are you such a retarded fag that you don't know the definition of a pause?
Yes. Yes he is.
With the last guy, presidential instability meant trouble going up stairs and riding bikes.
Not cramping his pants...
Those poor pants.
Also not commenting on how Putin fought in WW2.
I missed the disaster the tariffs caused. Can some one fill me in on the damage?
Well, by the end of April we all died. Kinda like during the global famine, COVID pandemic, climate catastrophe, and capitalist genocide.
So tired of dying all the time!
I'm still dead from that time Trump talked to Best Korea.
Ive been dead since all the bees disappeared.
Well , RIP in peace then
Being as this is Eric “reluctantly and strategically” Boehm, I’m assuming your question is rhetorical. Of course he’s such a retarded fag.
These congressional efforts draw upon the War Powers Resolution of 1973...
The war what resolution? The what powers resolution? Never heard of it.
Well, Google has.
It has now. Not so much before 2025.
..and the first black female governor of any state.
Skin color is the most importantly thing.
I don’t even know what a female is.
Using the word female is misogynist, you disgust me.
Exactly. They are a gash having person.
With superior amounts of melanin.
You discussed me.
What, you just talked about me, is all I'm saying.
What is this. Some kind of biologist convention?
But is she disabled or gay?
Do you think she is a Libertarian or something?
What’s that got to do with anything?
If you have ass sex with Mexicans while smoking marijuana - you might be a Libertarian.
That will be the title of my first Libertarian book for children. If the public libraries refuse to buy it - are they are violating my 1st amendment rights?
Why would children be reading? That takes away from their work knowledge the monocle mines.
The world clearly won't get that from the president.
Not if you stay on Bluesky, that's for sure.
I still can't believe someone would admit to using Bluesky.
"Admit"? I expect proclamations for Bluesky to show up on the next generation of word salad yard signs.
The only point in using Bluesky is to signal that they're not on Twitter anymore (which is usually a lie and they are still on Twitter anyway).
Wouldn’t that be a tacit admission that one is into the same “activities” as Pluggo, and what got his original account banned?
The Trump administration is reportedly restarting workplace immigration raids just days after pausing them amid public outrage and a behind-the-scenes lobbying effort by farms and the hospitality industry.
He gave the lobbyists time to renegotiate but they blew it so now they get the ICE tariffs.
"This is not our war," Massie wrote on X. "But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution."
Did we go back in time to 1939?
If so can we go back a few years more before the New Deal?
How about pre-Wilson?
No Federal Reserve, no fiat currency, no 16th or 17th Amendment, no wars for "democracy"...
You make a pretty good argument.
Most Americans think of the Civil War as an unambiguous conflict between the North and the South over slavery, and that is generally accurate.
It was an insurrection against the federal government committed by 11 states whose Democrat governors and legislators feared that the recently elected Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, would deprive them of their non-citizen labor force.
These state officials vowed to resist any attempt by the federal government to put down their rebellion and routinely denounced the new president as an aspiring dictator. Why does this sound familiar?
We still have cotton that needs picking!
And the elite class sure as hell don't pick cotton.
There was a little more to slavery than not being citizens. Not saying the present situation is great, or that there aren't people who are exploited in bad ways, but I'm not wild about comparing actual slavery to people largely voluntarily coming here, often at considerable personal risk, knowing that they will be working very hard for low wages.
There was a little more to slavery than not being citizens.
Nobody said that there wasn't, but one of the slavers many arguments were that they could be used as slaves because they weren't citizens. In the Dred Scott ruling the United States Supreme Court decided 7–2 against Scott, finding that neither he nor any other person of African ancestry could claim citizenship in the United States.
It is also a myth that all of them are working very hard for low wages.
There is a long list of already deported criminals being caught in these raids, many with theft and other crimes.
This myth of they are all hard working migrants is just as bad.
Yeah, and I didn't say all of them. I'm responding to a comparison to slavery. Deporting criminals is very popular and hard to argue with (though retards will give it a good try).
It's definitely not a myth that you're stupid as shit. A simple Google search can show the exact opposite - most "illegals" here are not criminals (aside from the "crime" of being "illegal") and do work hard - but continue to believe what you want. Facts can just get in the way sometimes.
"There is a long list of already deported criminals being caught in these raids, many with theft and other crimes."
Yet another in a long line of false, bad-faith arguments, since ICE is specifically targeting those that ARE dangerous with criminal records (as they should), which you then conflate to make it sound like MOST illegals currently in the country, in order to justify your support of the process.
Being this disingenuous constantly must be exhausting - or maybe for idiotic liars like you it's actually easy.
He didn’t say that.
Look at the sarc sock with all his strawman data and reliance on Google lol.
Which argument do you want to actually make? I didnt say all or even most are criminals. But if can also point to the Lott study of prisons showing illegals are over represented.
But if you want actual data, migrants use more sources of welfare than citizens.
Youre pretty fucking ignorant sarc. You should at least try to change up your use of retarded crutches when socking. But then again you're really fucking dumb and can't help it.
Maybe you are both stupid as shit. I didn't say anything about all illegals and neither did Jesse.
most "illegals" here are not criminals (aside from the "crime" of being "illegal") and do work hard - but continue to believe what you want. Facts can just get in the way sometimes.
"Most" is hardly the appropriate standard. 50%-1 can be criminals and we're supposed to accept it?
I also love the left's newfound belief in law enforcement and sampling perfection. For roughly two generations now we've been told the % of women sexually assaulted is vastly higher than LE reports and studies show because of problems with reporting and the unwillingness to speak up.
Illegal aliens are famously and obviously unwilling to bring themselves to police attention even as victims, and these are who illegal alien criminals hide among and also routinely victimize. We're supposed to believe these circumstances have no impact on law enforcement's ability to identify criminals within this population.
The simple truth is that left wingers believe whatever supports their preferred political outcome regardless of the facts. Reality is simply not a consideration when developing their assertions.
The simple truth is that left wingers believe whatever supports their preferred political outcome regardless of the facts.
Unlike right-wingers, who insist that Haitians in Springfield are eating cats.
So you're exactly like the people you hate most and consider idiots. Congratulations, this must be quite the ago boost.
There was a little more to slavery than not being citizens.
Plus the difference between 1860's GOP advocating freedom vs. 2025 GOP mandating deportation as the solution to exploitive labor.
*Yes, I know some flirted with the idea of deporting ex-slaves,*
deportation as the solution to exploitive labor.
That’s not why it’s happening.
No, but the passage from the original comment does sort of suggest that.
*Yes, I know some flirted with the idea of deporting ex-slaves,*
Flirted? Your seemingly sarcastic qualifier hides the fact that the Great Emancipator himself implemented it because he was convinced such a mass of former slaves could not be integrated into society. It only ended because the colony failed and Lincoln was killed.
It was not sarcastic. I thought "flirted" captured the notion that it was considered, but not implemented in any significant way.
Though, I take your point. I say not "significant" in a historical context because if it was ongoing today, I would be my usual annoying theoretical absolutist stick in the mud libertarian idealist that you've come to love in opposition to it.
but not implemented in any significant way.
Trump has overseen the deportation of around 200k of 10-18 million illegal aliens. I would also call that "not implemented in any significant way."
lol
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Colonization_Society
What's so fucking funny, Jeffy? Did I neglect any context?
Lincoln outlined colonization in his State of the Union address in 1862 and a colony was dispatched in December of that year. Of the 453 ex-slaves relocated to the colony of Île à Vache in the Caribbean, over 100 died and the remainder had to be rescued and brought back to the US. Does your Wikipedia excerpt somehow provide additional illumination? No, it states he continued to support colonization into 1864. He sent a ship to rescue the colonists on February 1, 1864. That almost certainly had something to do with change of heart.
And that is the most ridiculous thing about you and your ilk. You are so committed to anarchy/Marxism and convinced that it has never been done right that you can't imagine that anyone can change their mind based on actual outcomes. Fuck off.
There was a little more to slavery than not being citizens.
The first sentence tries pretty deliberately and openly to lay out how this issue is not modern 'slavery' === historical *slavery*.
Just like historical *slavery* wasn't limited to just the slaves picking cotton and the opposition strictly supporting tyranny, modern "slavery" isn't just about people being subject to non-citizen labor exploitation or their 'opposition' being free to choose their labor free of tyranny and as they see fit.
Arguably, the focus on "picking berries === picking cotton" is a deliberate distraction from the fact that the same government that facilitates non-citizen labor exploitation is also the same government that facilitates free/mandatory post-secondary education *and* the disruption of said education.
A lot of people also forget corporate towns and indentured servitude. Current exploitation is closer to those things.
Taxation *with* representation is becoming progressively less and less impressive as the Republic rolls on too.
Too much representation without taxation.
Seriously, would restricting (or augmenting) the vote to those who pay net taxes help prevent the risk of people in democracies voting themselves free shit?
They would just vote for lower taxes.
And how about the Chinese that came to build the railroads?
Your out of your cotten picking mind
Well then. I guess the only logical course of action then is for Trump to "free the slaves" and grant amnesty and citizenship to all of the illegal immigrants. Sound good to you?
Wrong.
How bout sending them all to Liberia, Lying Jeffy?
Send them to Liberia? Well, if we are making historical parallels and all...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Colonization_Society
So, does this mean you want to send *legal* immigrants to Liberia, because you fear that the presence of legal immigrants makes it easier to shelter illegal immigrants, and because you believe immigrants are inherently inferior and can't possibly integrate into American society?
That actually tracks, unsurprisingly.
No, I've got a better idea. You send them back home... wait for it... free of charge.
So generous, huh?
Also, are you still trying to pull that xenophobe horseshit with me even though you know I have a family full of legal immigrants?
Gee, it sucks when historical parallels don't turn out the way that you think they will, doesn't it?
Gee it suck to be a morbidly obese global Marxist that is pro child rape.
Those historical parallels turn out just fine, no matter how you try to twist them.
Gee, it sucks when your race-baiting xenophobe smears don't work on the technically brown guy with a family full of immigrants, right? It's the only trick you have.
So, does this mean you want to send *legal* immigrants to Liberia,
Why do you persist in arguing against things that nobody even implied? What a disingenuous piece of shit.
Do try to keep up with the conversation. Not my fault if you don't understand the historical parallels that people like ML want to create.
You created it in your own head. You can't argue honestly, but you continue to argue anyway out of spite.
It's the Jeffrey two step. Illegals become legals, legals become citizens, and the next thing you know we are all one step away from being deported and sent to a Venezuelan gulag without due process.
Well, you're kind of lying about what I'm saying and inventing phony historical "facts", so I'd say Chuck has you dead to rights.
Better yet, why don't you ask ML why he chose to use the historical parallel of sending ex-slaves to Liberia in the context of the current discussion.
You suggested that Trump "free the slaves", dipshit. Liberia is then mentioned in reaction to that because it is an example of horrible unintended consequences. You are so disingenuous, you slander your critic for understanding the completely irrelevant topic you introduced yourself? Pathetic!
This.
I don't call him Lying Jeffy for nothing.
No one cares, Fatfuck. You’re trying to make something out of nothing because you have no argument and are a morbidly obese, open borders global Marxist.
Now fuck off, m’kay?
Besides I thought Liberia was one of those shithole countries. You are very concerned with their exploitation, right? Very very concerned, right? If the immigrants are sent to Liberia, the chances that they will be treated even worse than they are here, is very high.
Nope, the much better way to end their exploitation is for Trump to grant them amnesty and citizenship. That way, they will be protected from those evil Democrats who want to exploit them on their cotton plantations and they will have standing to sue in court for all of the same rights and privileges that citizens have. Isn't that the goal? Equal rights so as to end their exploitation? That was the goal of post-Civil War Reconstruction, after all...
"Besides I thought Liberia was one of those shithole countries."
Is it, Lying Jeffy?
Is Liberia a "shithole"?
Better send them back home to Mexico, and Venezuela, and Guatemala, and Haiti instead then, huh?
"Nope, the much better way to end their exploitation is for Trump to grant them amnesty and citizenship."
No. Go fuck your hat. Just because the Democrats are parasitizing the illegal aliens, doesn't mean you should let the border jumpers parasitize everyone else.
Wait wait wait I thought the immigrants were the victims here, the victims of evil Democrats who want to exploit them on their cotton plantations. Now you are saying the victims are parasites?
The actual abolitionists of the 19th century wanted to end the unjust treatment of slaves. The people who wanted to send them to Africa were a bunch of racists who just wanted them gone, and who didn't really give a shit about how they were treated. That is Team Red's current position vis a vis immigration. It's not that of the noble abolitionist. It's that of the white racist who wants the inferior colored people to go away.
The people who wanted to send them to Africa were a bunch of racists who just wanted them gone, and who didn't really give a shit about how they were treated.
If you can't overcomplicate an argument, you insist on oversimplifying it. Sometimes you do both at the same time.
You should really just shut the fuck up.
I am totally persuaded by the historical argument that you presented. Not.
Not
You are one of the very best at infuriating your critics once you have lost the thread. The feeling that I spent time arguing with someone with the debate skills of an 8th grader fills me with overwhelming ennui.
No one cares, you fat pedophile bitch.
The people who wanted to send them to Africa were a bunch of racists who just wanted them gone, and who didn't really give a shit about how they were treated.
It also included people who wanted to give them the ability to reconnect with their own culture instead of remaining in a hostile land they never wanted to come to in the first place, but it's easier to claim everyone's a racist. Ultimately that's all the left's arguments are: "word word word word word - anyone who disagrees is racist!".
That is Team Red's current position vis a vis immigration. It's not that of the noble abolitionist. It's that of the white racist who wants the inferior colored people to go away.
The downside of the left's control of our education system is converting it to political polemics instead of a deeper understanding which includes nuances and logical thought. Effectively everything non-technical can be accurately summarized as "how do we call non-leftists racist?". When a left winger says "do the work" what they mean is "sift through the thousand steps to show the motivation for any position can be racist and then assert this is the only possible motivation. And we see Jeffey was a committed student.
Illegals aren’t immigrants, Fatfuck. You keep spewing that lie.
"The people who wanted to send them to Africa were a bunch of racists who just wanted them gone, and who didn't really give a shit about how they were treated."
This is yet another of your ahistorical lies.
The abolitionists who supported the idea understood that once freed, the Democrats would spend the next hundred years treating Black Americans like dirt (which is exactly what you guys did, Jeff).
They also knew that returning them to Africa would mean handing them back to those who had originally sold them, so they conceived the idea of Liberia.
But you, consummate liar that you are, has to twist and lie and smear everything.
What a monster you are, Lying Jeffy.
He'll argue that young people that work hard still can't afford to live and also argue that people who arrive with nothing but the clothes on their back can make it just by working hard. Those 2 arguments are incompatible.
It is remarkable that, for so many of the commentators here that are SO offended by all these "illegals" currently in the country, and yet none of you ever discuss or favor any pragmatic or streamlined solution to our current immigration laws as an alternative?
For any migrant wanting to come here, that quite obviously has no criminal history or is not part of any gang, but are in fact the opposite - you know, Escaping poverty, crime, gangs, having more opportunities, etc. (i.e. the majority of them) - why not then try to discuss ways of making the process of becoming "Legal" easier, while also acknowledging the benefits that said migrants provide? Nope, it's just: Round 'em up, Git 'em out - all disguised as "Patriotism". OK then. Not a little hateful or racist at all.
You're pretty new here. And that comment is not a very smart one.
His use of random capitalization makes me think that guy is either SQRSLY or Buttplug.
Sqrlsy isn’t that coherent. I’d say it’s either a Shrike or Sarc sock.
It's sarc.
See common list of attacks and who he hates.
He even compliments himself like Mike used to do with his socks.
It's Jeff, the tone is the tell.
Digs through his fantasies to tell others what they must discuss, and then at the end casually slips in "and if you disagree you're racist".
And then switches back to chemjeff to deliver what he thinks is comeuppance? Checking out the timing of posts today, that tracks perfectly and it is a pattern I have observed from him in the past. He really wants to rehabilitate his image on this forum, but he just can't resist being himself.
9/11 and "Bears In Trunks". Some might try to reimagine those events but we must never forget.
Bears in Trunks is the gift that keeps on giving. Classic Jeff.
I'd put bears at 2 behind shoot trespassers in the face being libertarian.

He also had snow white is rape and 2+2=5.
Good. Then Jeffy should agree that it’s ok if we decide to exterminate the democrats.
You seem to forget Jeff thinks illegals have more rights than citizens.
When he well and truly pissed me off forever was "as long as you are on your own property, exposing yourself to children is not a violation of the NAP". Exposed himself as a groomer with that one.
I love how sarc just throws out these "perfect" systems that would literally just use the laws we already have while screaming against the laws we already have.
Here is the condition sarc. No fucking welfare. No incentive to leech off others. No voting rights.
Now. Explain how your idiotic system is different than what already exists. But I always forget you're ignorant to the wide variety of visas that already exist.
Sarc already advocated for citizenship + disenfranchisement as a solution this week. My response was to ask if he wanted to count them as 3/5th of a person for the census as well?
What reading of the Constitution allows for quasi-citizenship after the 14th amendment?
The fake concern about exploitation is just concern trolling. They don't give a shit about whether immigrants are exploited. They just want them gone.
The overlap between the set of people who want harsh immigration enforcement "in order to end their exploitation", and the set of people who truly didn't give a shit that Garcia was sent to a third world gulag even though he was never convicted of a crime that would warrant such a punishment, is 100%.
The fake concern about exploitation is just concern trolling.
It is actually sarcasm. But seeing that you don't grok that Sarcasmic is just a purveyor of fallacies, your confusion is understandable.
Well, dude, fact is we already have a system that allows more people to legally migrate here than any other country in the world.
Not our fault that you virtue signaling children can’t accept limits. Go have a temper tantrum. We don’t care. They’re going home.
It is even worse when applied to actual human beings who are trying to earn a living.
The championing of the most unsavory of deported characters has all but guaranteed the heartstrings approach won't work. The activist class within politics and journalism fucked it up.
It's not about heartstrings.

Well that's racist.

What about Swedish au pairs?

So Boehm's run down of governor for Virginia focuses solely on the identity markers of the participants, telling me nothing about them but everything about Boehm and his Leftist narrative allegiance.
Also, why would I care what some propagandist believes while he still shills for the idea that President Autopen was aware of his surroundings, let alone fully in charge. Fuck off Boehm, you Leftist propagandist.
I think this is all great. The scrambling of identity politics means that voters will have to interrogate their choices in ways that go beyond these silly, surface-level factors.
So why did he only describe the silly surface-level factors?
Sigh.
On yahoo: Retail sales slide in May on lower gas, auto sales amid tariff uncertainty
People bought less gas because tariffs?
Maybe cuz all those Canadians stayed home.
Boehm is finding excuses. Retail sales appear down when prices drop, like they did for gasoline and eggs.
It is even worse when applied to actual human beings who are trying to earn a living.
Umm...humans beings trying to earn a living pay tarrifs not imported goods.
Oh bohem, is identity all that matters? Any comments on thir policy views? Are they gop Maga or Rinos or I'm a dem that put an r next to my name because the democrat brand is so damaged? Or are you going tee hee hee there's a dark and a fag for the gop?
This year's gubernatorial race in my home state will be an early indicator of how the midterms might go...
Meh. In Trump years the distance between that and the midterms is a lifetime.

DEI by any other name. This is not a scrambling of identity politics. It's the encouragement of it. "We have to put up a black women to confuse the dems." is just more DEI. Not a positive.

"Suspected Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter also allegedly killed state rep’s beloved rescue dog in grisly murder
https://nypost.com/2025/06/16/us-news/suspected-minnesota-assassin-vance-boelter-also-allegedly-killed-state-reps-beloved-rescue-dog-in-grisly-murder/
The gunman who shot and killed Minnesota state lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband at their home also killed their family’s beloved rescue dog, according to a fellow lawmaker.
The former Democratic House Speaker, 55, and her husband Mark, 58, were allegedly gunned down early Saturday morning by suspected political assassin Vance Luther Boelter, who also wounded state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife before he was finally captured Sunday following an intense 43-hour manhunt Sunday.
Boelter also allegedly shot the family’s beloved golden retriever, Gilbert, at the Brooklyn Park home.
Was he tall and well groomed?
I am not the shooter sir.
That’s exactly what the shooter would say.
jfc bring a steak for the dog. the dog shooters are the worst of all humans.
This is why we get along despite our differences on policy. Deep down we hold the same principles most sacred.
dog shooters deserve to hang upside down & have their skin pulled off a strip at a time
Or just a pack of hotdogs even. It's like these people never saw Remote.
It was a golden retriever, you don't even need hot dogs.
lol this. Here, boy! Now you're my dog let's go.
When will Sarcasmic denounce all his side's violence?
Murder Suspect in Utah 'No Kings' Shooting Was Trump-Hating, Antifa-Loving Leftist
This doesn't even come close to competing with his imagination of what his enemies might do.
I look forward to Nancy’s follow up article on this. I’m shocked Boehm didn’t cover this in the roundup.
They are still trying to verify his antifa membership card.
"I’m shocked Boehm didn’t cover this in the roundup."
Who could have imagined he would have missed that. Must have lost his internet connection.
This situation is completely FUBAR. Which makes it weird that Reason didn't cover it as it gives them room to waffle all over it.
Gamboa is accused of felony murder as Gamboa did not fire any shots. He brandished his rifle and was then shot in response by an armed civilian who is the one who hit and killed a bystander. They have not released info if the "peacekeeper" who fired shots was part of the protest or not or whether he will be charged.
I have supported Daniel Perry and Kyle Rittenhouse and Daniel Penny, but none of them harmed anyone who was not directly threatening them or others. I don't give a shit about the shooters politics, but he still holds responsibility for the consequences of pulling that trigger, even in self defense.
This should be a dream come true for Sarcasmic, but he can't say anything until his handlers tell him if it was a good guy or bad guy that fired the shots.
The security was hired by the organizers.
Something that becomes more clear every day the press fails to confirm it. They keep referring to him as a "peacekeeper", which puts people much more in mind of a militia than a protester. This will disappear like the CHAZ killings before it can be linked to protest violence and the shooter won't get dragged in the press like Rittenhouse despite having endangered the public to point of killing someone.
He wasn’t brandishing, it was pointed down.
I saw that reported originally as well, but investigators report has witnesses contradicting it and claiming he was brandishing his rifle and running towards the crowd when shot.

ICE protesters in Tucson interrupted a major drug bust because they thought it was an immigration raid. They got word of federal officers heading to a certain neighborhood, assumed it was immigration-related, and went out to prevent them from serving the warrant.
But it wasn't. It was a major drug bust that confiscated 120 pounds of fentanyl, 20 pounds of meth, 35 pounds of cocaine, four firearms, and a former cartel member, who was running the operation.
https://x.com/grindfacetv/status/1933329572411654388
a former cartel member
So maybe a little bit immigration-related.
Well, it might be NOW.
Are they sure it wasn't just a 2nd residence of Hunter Biden?
Hand the fentanyl out to the protesters.

At least they have their cats to keep them company.

Hey, if not for bullshit college degrees, white progressive women would have no degrees at all. And then where would they be?

I think crystal clear Jello would be kind of cool.
The novelty wears off pretty quickly.
Well, I don't eat Jello that often. Remember the crystal products fad of the 90s? I guess people do just like their food and cleaning products to be brightly colored.
Maybe but Pepsi Crystal...
The People (all 4 of us) demand the return of Crystal Pepsi, again.
They sell sprite.
No, they try to sell sprite.
Ummm. Sprite is the third best selling soda in the US after Coke and Dr, Pepper.
Third place = loser.
Dr. Pepper is the second best-selling soda in the US? Surprising.
It's also the oldest soda still being sold in America, a year older than Coke.
What about Moxie? Pretty sure it has them both beat. And is the superior brown soda.
Just looked it up. Not only is Moxie older, but even that isn't the oldest still in existence.
Vernor's Ginger Ale is the oldest from 1866. Then there's Hires Root Beer (1876), Moxie (1876), Dr. Pepper (1885), Coca-Cola (1886), and Pepsi (1893).
I just knew that Coke wasn't the oldest because I got a trivia question wrong, where it asked which was the oldest among Coke, Dr. Pepper, and a few others.
*I'd also never heard of Moxie before you mentioned it.
There was a short-lived revival of Crystal Pepsi back in 2017 or so. I bought a few bottles from Walmart, but haven't seen it since.

Economics is excellent at making qualitative predictions. This amounts to observing that X will cause Y provided that Z remains constant. That is true so far as it goes. But Z is never constant. For that reason, economics cannot make quantitative predictions with any degree of reliability.
That is true now and has always been true.
The trouble is that this observation—simple and unobjectionable by any normal human intellect—flies in the face of what economics has been trying to do as a profession for the better part of 100 years.
The motto of most economic schools of thought is that science is prediction. The better the prediction, the closer we come to real science. Economics has been chasing this rainbow for a century but never finding the pot of gold at the end of it.
This outlook represents the height of intellectual arrogance. At its root, real economics is about human choice. Human choice defies prediction. Ergo, economics cannot be about quantitative prediction. Its predictive power is always limited to qualitative realms. Going beyond that risks having economic science itself discredited as a fake science, which is how it is mostly seen today.
"sarc should read"

Did they boo her, too?
Ha!
Democrats always end up eating their own. Always.
Do you though? Do you really eschew identity politics, when in the previous paragraphs, you're talking about the 'first black female', 'first female', and 'first openly gay', like they're accomplishments?
Seriously. Sounds like he’s just a fan of making the GOP play the identity politics game, instead of focusing on issues of substance.
Sounds like
How many years of Boehm's stupidity is committed to these pages? That's *exactly* what he's doing. Despite the fact that half the nation recognized exactly what he's doing and rejected it in the last Presidential election.
This is, at best, Boehm's poor attempt at snatching whatever "My political philosophies are still valid!" victory he can from the jaws of defeat.
The scrambling of identity politics means that voters will have to interrogate their choices in ways that go beyond these silly, surface-level factors.
They'll just anounce all new and improved identities. Rinse and repeat.

Oh, wait.
The scrambling of identity politics is great because we can go back to pretending that Virginia is full of the bad kind of racist, sexist bigots who supported Obama over McCain *and* Romney and not the good kind of sexist, bigoted racists that would choose Kamala Harris *and* Hillary Clinton over Trump.
Boehm is an abject fucking retard. However much you hate him, it's not enough.
Imagine a legislature willing to do that!
And every legislature there after worked tirelessly to cede as much of their power to the president as they could.
It would be wonderful prime time entertainment for Trump to ask congress for a declaration of war against Iran.
They could make the floor debates pay-per-view and retire the national debt.
Still waiting for a story on all the employers arrested for hiring illegals.
And all of this is even more worrying because ICE does not seem to have much of a clue about who they are targeting for arrest and deportation
Bohem cries over 1 guy out of 100,000s ICE has interacted with who refused to give them ID for 10 hours. Gives no fucks about those raped and murdered by his precious illegals.

Tim Kaine (D–Va.) has introduced his own resolution in the upper chamber to curtail American involvement in the conflict.
How do you curtail something that doesn't exist? Are we pretending we're in the war so we can credit anti-Trumpers for getting us out?
the mask-lowering has been entertaining.
Congress should not try to tie all Presidents hands going forward from being able to hit hard when extremely necessary and using threats to try to solve important issues. Every country would know that they would be hollow threats or bluffs.
In my home state of Virginia having a black woman and a gay guy on the ticket is a sure loser. I may just put some money on that one. I don't think that combo will bring out the conservative voters.
I don't think that having a black woman on the ticket is a loser for conservatives, if her policy goals and political beliefs have a significant overlap with theirs.
"...Well, OK. But who is actually in charge over there? When the president of the United States speaks (or posts), people listen. And telling a city of 17 million that is currently under bombardment to immediately "evacuate" is a serious thing, even if the president's handlers want everyone to ignore it..."
You didn't bother asking that question of the WH for 4 years, but now you want to know who's in charge of Tehran?
"Worksite enforcement remains a cornerstone of our efforts to safeguard public safety, national security and economic stability."
Remember when Jeffsarc pretended illegals couldn't get jobs because employers had to validate their legal status while hiring? Good times.
What's interesting is how their positions contradict each other, if they couldn't be hired how are we unable to harvest food and and staff restaurants? They pile on their enemies for exactly this sort of contradiction, while the amusing conclusion is these people they deride as stupid or willing to say anything to support the team are just like them.
Remember when Marshal made an argument without lying? Me neither.
Poor sarc. Lost his memory.
So pathetic.
Remember when Sarcasmic lied about Marshal lying?
I'm so old I remember when sarc lied that I defended tariffs. So when he claims other people lie it doesn't even matter if they do or not, it's yet another case of him applying standards to others he refuses to apply to himself or his allies.
Apparently he's still looking for proof. It's him and OJ out there searching equally hard.
Pretty sure The Juice gave up a while back . . .
So you agree they're equally likely to prove themselves correct?
Fucking quitter.
If the knife don't fit, I must'a quit. - OJ
Remember when Sarc made logical and coherent arguments without resorting to the use of straw? Me neither.
Never happened.
I think this is all great. The scrambling of identity politics means that voters will have to interrogate their choices in ways that go beyond these silly, surface-level factors.
Because you're certain Team Blue is going to choose an anti-violence/destruction, balanced budget, red tape cutting conservative or because you're rather blatantly and retardedly celebrating that, like NY, CA, San Francisco, Chicago, Philly, Baltimore, etc., etc., the descent into fiscal and intellectual bankruptcy will come into view on the left horizon as anything resembling any sort of reason, pragmatism, or responsibility to the taxpayers descends past the right horizon?
You aren't a good person and even the people you presume to be advocating on behalf of should reject you for your lack of principles.

CNN Halts broadcast for breaking news that favors Donald Trump
In a significant turn of events reported by CNN, President Donald Trump has received favorable news amidst controversy.
The 79-year-old leader has been under scrutiny for implementing a series of ICE raids, which Kim Kardashian was slammed for speaking out on, aimed at intensifying immigration enforcement.
CNN's fresh report reveals that a court has turned down California's bid to prevent President Trump from deploying the National Guard in his efforts to maintain order during activist protests. This decision represents a sizable victory for the president.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/2000s-rock-band-bans-trump-supporters-from-attending-all-shows-it-s-not-for-you/ar-AA1GSW8K
Ronnie Winter, frontman of the emo rock band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, has prohibited all Donald Trump supporters from attending any of their shows.
The singer, 42, reiterated his stance against the president and his supporters in a recent Instagram Video, saying: “I thought I was pretty clear about all this stuff in 2020. As you notice on my Instagram, I did not remove any of that stuff from the Stay Woke campaign.
“Look, man, the thing about being woke is you’re awake. And once you’re awake, you can never go to sleep. And not only has nothing changed, but everything they said was going to happen, the woke people, has happened. You have done nothing but prove them right,” he said.
Reintroducing himself as the lead singer of the 2000s band, Winter continued: “I actually follow what Jesus says. If you’re a Christian and you’re watching this and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you.
“You are not allowed to come to my shows. I don’t want you there. Don’t come to my shows. It’s awesome that you love ‘Face Down.’ It’s not for you. It’s not your song. It is not your song,” he added of the group’s number one hit.
"" “I actually follow what Jesus says. If you’re a Christian and you’re watching this and you voted for Donald Trump, shame on you.""
Didn't Jesus say something about not judging people?
The irony is that these phonies clearly despise religious people, yet still believe that concern-trolling them with a distorted version of their own faith will somehow change their minds.
Never heard of this guy or his crappy band.
I bet Winter also believes that drum circles can control the weather.
(BTW retard thinking like this goes back a LONG way, so give him a break.)
The whole thing just screams "Crazy meth addict who hasn't slept since 2020." to me.
Winter: I don't use meth!
Normie: That doesn't make it any better.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Tells me all I need to know about the band, its narcissistic frontman and its holier than thou through the eyes of (not the actual experience of) oppression lyrics without hearing a note.

And once you’re awake, you can never go to sleep.
Really? Is that the way being conscious works? For a creative, he sure can't follow a fucking metaphor to any logical conclusion.
Honestly. That sounds awful and like a good reason to avoid getting woke.
And how, exactly, does he propose to prohibit Trump supporters or voters from attending his concerts? Ticketmaster sells to whomever will pay their exorbitant ticket prices. Just for that, he deserves a bunch of MAGAs buying front row tickets just to fuck him over.
By being irrelevant.
Boom. He wins.

my Breakout & Pitfall machine beat the Cylon I love this story so much.
They just need Trump to teach the AIs 4D chess moves.
I would think that the sort of structures used for the AIs could be really good if they were trained on those libraries of chess games played by masters of the game. Seems like that should be just the sort of thing they are good for: given this sequence of moves, what comes next? But I don't really know, maybe there are things I'm not thinking of. And there would need to be some check that the moves are always legal.

Trump Reverses Mass Migration: More People Leaving U.S. Than Arriving for First Time in 50 Years
According to various analysts and economists via a report from The Washington Post, more people are expected to leave the country than arrive.
Economists at two Washington think tanks expect President Donald Trump’s immigration policies to drive this reversal: from the near-total shutdown of the southern border to threats to international students and the loss of legal status for many new arrivals, according to a forthcoming paper.
A rise in deportations — the aim of recent workplace raids that triggered protests in Los Angeles and other cities — also plays a role.
It's reported that a million have self deported and that number is expected to rise.
Also. I found this an interesting read about the economic incentives driving Mexico's demand's for an open US border,
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/illegal-alien-economy-how-foreign-nations-exploit-us-borders-profit
Think about it for a moment and ask yourself: Why is the rest of the world in our business? Why do they care if we have tighter controls on borders and stricter vetting for immigration? Why don’t foreign governments also complain about Chinese immigration standards, or Saudi Arabia’s standards, or even Australia’s standards? Why does everyone else think they have a say in how America handles immigration?
There are, of course, ideological agendas at play here, but I believe the primary reason for foreign meddling is economic, specifically when it comes to Central America and South America.
I’ve covered these issues briefly in the past but I think it bears repeating that the US is widely considered a kind of global buffet or a wounded gazelle – The entire jungle shows up to take a bite. We’re the cash cow of the planet ready to be milked. The exposure of organizations like USAID proved beyond a doubt that Americans pay for the ENTIRE WORLD. Not only that, but we get to pay for the inflation that is created for every dollar printed and circulated to fill the pockets of foreign interests.
This is the enduring curse attached to any country “lucky” enough to maintain world reserve currency status. When the Bretton Woods agreement was put in place after World War II there was an unspoken but clear trade-off, a devil’s bargain attached to the dollar’s ascension.
First, Americans were going to have to pay the vast majority of defense spending in the new international order (which would ultimately become NATO). Second, America was gifted the ability to print dollars with wild abandon while mitigating hyperinflation by exporting dollars overseas to foreign banks and corporations. However, the expectation was that the US would have to spread the fiat wealth and feed the coffers of other countries through various subsidies, foreign aid and perhaps even open immigration.
Using Mexico as an example, we can see some obvious economic advantages for foreign governments if US immigration policies remain unenforced. Mexico has enjoyed an exceedingly low unemployment rate for several years, not just because untold numbers of US manufacturing jobs have been outsourced to the south, but because Mexico has the option of encouraging poverty stricken citizens who can’t get jobs to sneak into the US.
This serves a couple of purposes – It allows Mexico to maintain low unemployment stats. It saves them loads of cash when it comes to social welfare programs (they can send their poor to the US where American taxpayers foot the welfare bill). And, in terms of crime and civil unrest, Mexico is able to relocate their own discontented rabble over the border and let the US deal with those people instead.
The same goes for most of Central and South America. The benefits are just too numerous to ignore. The more open the US border is, the more every third world country near us has to gain.
While scrolling through Mexican news sources I came across the story that inspired this article: Last week Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum seemingly threatened the US over a proposed tax on “remittances”. If you are not familiar with remittances, they are basically any monies earned (or stolen) within the US by non-citizens and transferred to their home countries.
In response Sheinbaum has turned hostile, arguing that Mexicans would “mobilize” in reaction to any fees.
“If necessary, we’ll mobilize. We don’t want taxes on remittances from our fellow countrymen. From the US to Mexico…”
The socialist president did not specify what she meant by “mobilize”, but many commentators assert that this is a threat to mobilize unrest among migrants already within US borders. As we have seen in Los Angeles in the past few days, the threat is not idle. It seems like madness, until we look at how much US cash is actually transferred outside the US by migrants.
Mexico alone received at least $65 billion in remittances from the US last year. In other words, the Mexican economy enjoys a yearly boost of around $65 billion just by encouraging illegals to cross the border. To put this in perspective, Mexico’s entire social welfare budget each year is around $30 billion; less than half of what the country gets through remittances from the US. Mexico’s tourism industry generates around $32 billion annually; again, less than half of what remittances generate.
Blind Ignorance
“There are none so blind as those who will not see.” - John Heywood (1497-1580)
In dealing with Iran, its adversaries are dealing with religious fanatics. Yes, their quest for power is Persian control of the Middle East, but it is more than such a limited quest. The leaders truly believe in their bible, the Koran. Notice in the comments herein thus far, no mention is made of the Koran as though it is of no importance. On the contrary, it is the foundation of Mohammedanism (Islam), a religion of war, a fact to which most commentators seem blind in their spewing arrogant utterances of ignorance.
When the mullahs label these United States, they mean it. When they pledge to destroy these United States, they mean it. When they encourage their followers to slay the infidels, they mean it.
Once again, Israel is doing the dirty-work for the rest of the non-Mohammedan world. Mr. Trump may feel grumpy about having lost the spotlight in pursuing his art of the deal with the Iranian fanatics. Let him as long as we Americans destroy completely Iranian nuclear facilities located deeply underground at Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, employing conventional weaponry. His call for a complete surrender by Iran rests upon Israeli action not blather at sham negotiations.

If they actually do evacuate Tehran, we should take advantage of the clear field of fire and destroy all government and religious buildings and facilities.

yes, and if the voters honestly assess them, Winsome is more anti-Trump than Abigail, is much more resistant to top down, nanny-state policy choices, and much more driven toward liberty as a primary value. I fear they will not honestly assess them, however.
