A girl in the United Kingdom's Wetherby Young Offender Institution twice had her clothes removed while being restrained by an

If they are aged 15-18, there are no "children" there. Stop with the Wokespeak.
Now that shit has been thoroughly established that we are ALL the children of Our MomDad, Which Art Government Almighty (Blessed Be Its Name), the old meanings of "children" versus "adults" are passe!
There are female chavs?
There certainly are, and their numbers seem to be increasing.
Oh yes.

More relevant information from the attached link:
- Out of the facility's 165 prisoners, just seven are female. At the time of incident, it was just 3 girls.
- Almost half the facility's 900 self harm incidents were done by these three girls.
- This particular girl was using her clothing to create ligatures and cut off blood flow to parts of her body.
- Female staff didn't participate in the stripping incidents because they were assaulted in previous incidents.
- Britain spends 250k pounds per inmate per year to run this facility.
My personal thoughts: I think Mr. Oliver is making hay out of a situation that sounds bad only when viewed from a very particular angle. The BBC article is much less biased and from his omissions it's abundantly clear that he's trying to spin a narrative here that just doesn't hold weight.
These are incredibly troubled teens and to insist that the government provide three young women with an entirely separate facility all to themselves staffed entirely with women who will miraculously not get injured in altercations with these women while simultaneously letting them keep their dignity while they to kill themselves with their own clothing all without flipping the entire country's budget on its head is just a bridge too far.
Nothing you have said comes within a million miles of justifying having male guards forcibly stripping minor female inmates.
What are they supposed to do? Just let her die? The female guards got injured tangling with said inmates previously.
Seems like the cheaper option.
You seem to forget, there are longer differences between male and female (and all the other) genders.
You are just a transphobic bigot to the modern left.
Not true, some random chick I just met had a 12 inch cock, that is longer than me
Although it cannot be totally avoided, there is very good scientific evidence that, in general, prison guards inevitably become cynical and cruel as they continue in their roles. The balance between competence on the job and growing cruelty should be carefully analyzed and guards should be rotated out of their positions regularly to avoid abuse. One does not have to be sympathetic to criminals to appreciate the need to avoid abuse in our prisons and jails. Parallel to this approach, the only offenders who should be in prison are violent suspects while awaiting their day in court. Confinement should never be a long-term punishment for any crime. People who commit repeated violent crimes or who commit sufficiently atrocious crimes should, with proper safeguards and appeals, be executed. Everyone else should be punished some other way, or not punished at all after victimless crimes have been eliminated.
Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time,
Yeah, don't do it.
Are you sure it was a girl? We don't know the meaning of that term anymore, remember? Same goes for the "all-male" prison officers.
I asked one of the Supreme Court Justices, but all she said was, "I'm not a biologist."
Anyway, I'm told it's wrong to assume genders these days. Don't know why you even mentioned the genders of any of the participants. That's not very progressive.
