Why is this a brickbat?
I thought Reason supports budding entrepreneurs finding creative ways to obtain/peddle/addict people to recreational drugs. And, given their ACAB bent, you'd think they'd be nominating these cops for some kind of award for bucking the system and going renegade in service of the libertarian's highest virtue: like... gettin' high, man.
Y'all defend literally everyone else doing this. Why not the cops?
One single paragraph here reporting the FACTS. Just the FACTS. In this brickbat (as in most brickbats), Reason supports reporting the FACTS.
As far as MY FAR SUPERIOR tinfoil mind-reading hat goes, MY tinfoil hat says that Reason, here (reading ENTIRELY between the lines of coke), thinks that it is a horrible waste that “society” (using taxes and cops, exercising our Collective Swill of the People) has chosen to confiscate and destroy perfectly useful supplies! Now coke-suppliers will slash-and-burn (and pollute) that much MORE rain forest (etc.) in South America, to replace what was destroyed!
(Other people’s tinfoil hats say Reason supports the Lizard People, Amphibian People, etc. Believe twat you want to bleeve!!!! That’s twat everybody does anyway!!! Ye are AUTHORIZED!!!)
Joe Blow murdered Joe Schmoe last night for another blow of coke, says Reason. Reason-haters pipe up with "WHY does Reason LOVE murdering people just for coke?"
Because theft is wrong. Any other brain busters?
Unless it’s welfare spending on immigrants, food stamps, health and “reproductive medicine” for the right kinds of people, funding GOF research and *then* deciding whether to compensate people for risk (or not) via the VICP vs. CICP program, making local libraries stock certain books on their shelves against patrons’ wishes…
It’s almost like theft is only wrong when you’re stealing from or giving to the wrong people.
Depends on who's doing it. Taxes are theft, but Trump's tariffs are wonderful. So theft is only wrong when Democrats do it. Otherwise it's dreamy, like Trump.
And Biden's tariffs, which are higher than Trump's?
One-sided partisan hack again.

Biden and Europe remove Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs, but it’s not free trade
BOTH SIDES are offenders!!! Here is ONE case where Biden is better!
I googled some more and asked my favorite AI, "Perplexity". In general, these 2 assholes are ROUGHLY the same for tariffs. Can you find ANY specific cases (link(s) please!) where Biden's tariffs are, as you say, worse?
Has anyone told that to the dIvErSitY Is OuR StRenGth crowd (or their enablers) as they ransack blue city stores in broad daylight, to the point of major companies shutting down their flagship locations, all the while screeching about how the cops are rayciss if they do things like... y'know, stop theft?
Oh, of course you thought that, although I wouldn’t usually call what you do thinking. Actually, Reason supports legalizing drugs so enterprising law enforcement thugs have less opportunity for corruption. But I realize that might be too subtle to be detected by your sarcasm radar, so go on back to finish your nap.
The idiot was putting large amounts of cash in his bank account not thinking it would be reported to the IRS. Seems cops know less about the law then the average person.
He wasn't doing asset forfeiture right.
Sounds like a libertarian Robin Hood to me.

"John, didn't you send the payoffs to the Mayor, the Chief and the union President last month?!"
"No, Joel! I thought YOU paid them off last month!"
