Brickbat: Missing a Spark

A law recently signed by Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker will require all new and renovated residential buildings in the state to have an electric vehicle (E.V.) charging station. Supporters say the law, which takes effect Jan. 1, 2024, will encourage people to buy electric vehicles. But opponents said the law will impose costs on landlords and homeowners and noted that very few residents own electric vehicles. "If less than 1% of cars on the roads are EVs and less than 0.1% of cars in my district are EVs, I just don't see why we are having people in downstate Illinois pay for this infrastructure," said state Rep. Travis Weaver (R–Edwards).

My toaster oven identifies as an E.V. charging station, so, I've got that covered.

Keep in mind this is a Governor who, documentedly, rendered a mansion uninhabitable by removing the toilets in order to receive a refund on taxes.
Trump's indicted for a problem of his own making while Pritzker and a dozen other governors and federal employees across the country are perpetual generators of problems of their own making that "incidentally" burden the rest of us.
You need to get your TDS checked.
Trump’s indicted for a problem of his own making...
Haven't you gotten the memo? Only leftists say that. That means you're a leftist. Ha ha.
Brought to you by Big Power Grid.
Every Illinois parking meter should be equipped with an electric chair to deter scofflaw Tesla drivers.
Six months ago I lost my job and after that I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a great website which literally saved me. I started working for them online and in a short time after I've started averaging 15k a month... The best thing was that cause I am not that computer savvy all I needed was some basic typing skills and internet access to start.
🙂 AND GOOD LUCK.:)

What do we want, Affordable Housing!
When do we want it, sometime in the future after we increase the costs with pointless virtue signaling!
… the law will impose costs on landlords and homeowners
I just don't see why we are having people in downstate Illinois pay for this infrastructure
These two things don’t align. Are there no landlords or homeowners upstate?
It's how things are referred to in Illinois. Chicago politicians dominate Illinois politics and "downstate" refers to anywhere that isn't Chicago.
The translation is "if Chicago wants this let them pass a local ordinance, leave the rest of us alone."
It's a tax on being too stupid to move out of the state. At least some of the people in the Chicago area have an excuse for remaining in the state; people living downstate don't. Move to Indiana or Missouri already.
So is the Federal income tax a tax on being too stupid to move out of America? Inquiring minds want to know!
Yes. In fact it is a tax, but not on being stupid. It is the result of a decision that staying and paying it is the lesser "evil", as we still have more liberty than the rest of the world (but the margin seems to slip a little every year). To put in terms you might understand, having a plate of "relatively" inoffensive shit for supper rather than a bowl "truly offensive" scat, runny and bloody, with shreds of toilet paper scattered throughout does not make the "inoffensive" shit a good supper.
Move out? There's a tax on that too. So they literally get you coming or going.
Which of the Governors cousins owns an electrical contracting firm?
So how much in "campaign contributions" is Pritzker getting from the electric car industry or how much does he have invested in the companies that make EV's or EV charging stations?
It’s so funny to hear Nazi-Democrats worship electricity. It’s not even an energy source. It’s just a transmission median.
It’s obvious to conclude they are on a mission to monopolize/control the entire energy sector by forcing everyone onto the same energy median.
Deja-Vue of the Fake Fiat money scam (The Federal Reserve Act) also written by Democrats. Nazi's are enemies of the USA no matter how much they pretend they aren't while wanting to take control of it and entirely conquer and rule it.
Really surprised that fat fuck Pritzker didn't require all new and renovated residential buildings to install a Taco Bell drive-thru.
My understanding is all EV's can charge off of a standard 110v outlet. Not very fast but they can charge. So put a standard outlet in the garage with a sign "EV Charging Station" and your good, right?
Assuming there's a garage. In the apartments I live in, a garage is an optional extra. Some apartments offer only carports, and some don't offer any enclosed parking at all.
