Brickbat: Quick Action

Less than two weeks after a driver rammed into one of the bedrooms of his Austin, Texas, home, Chris Newby got a letter from the city telling him his house was now in violation of city code and that he had 30 days to get it repaired or he faced $2,000 a day in fines. The letter was dated on the day the driver smashed into Newby's home. City officials said the building inspector was notified about the accident by the fire department and that it is city policy to send such letters after a house is damaged. "This was a catastrophic incident and they wanted to ensure that the homeowners were safe and the building was safe," said Matthew Noriega, a division manager with the Austin Code Department.

Government Almighty for ya... "We want to HELP you and keep you SAFE! So here's $2,000 a day in fines, if you don't help yourself quickly! ... (You can thank us later, but ya better not be too slow about that, either.)"
The City of Austin is ALMOST as helpful here, as "Team R" in Idaho is, with your ectopic pregnancy! https://reason.com/2022/07/19/idaho-state-gop-says-abortion-should-be-illegal-even-when-used-to-save-a-womans-life/
Austin, TX politics “Very Liberal”
https://bestneighborhood.org/conservative-vs-liberal-map-austin-tx/
What’s your obsession with abortion all the sudden anyways?
Is it personal or just leftard-gangster mentality having only one gangster excuse left?
You do realize that Republicans wrote Roe v Wade Right? You do realize that it’s ‘federal’ repeal didn’t eliminate it from State Constitutions right? You do realize that if you’re a fan of Democracy ([WE] mob RULES!) that you got EXACTLY what you worship.
It was a very Democratic move by Republicans all the way through; Throwing away the Constitution for [WE] mob Democracy. Exactly the very foundation of every Democrat.
After all of that, what is YOUR excuse for "Team R" in Idaho, who can't even see straight enough to carve out ONE precious (but VERY clear!) exception for the life of the mother?
Per the very article you pointed to....
It's not "Team R" that's onboard with this; it is Scott Herndon.
From there, "...an amendment to allow exceptions for "lethal danger" was proposed, with supporting delegates citing ectopic pregnancy concerns. That amendment was defeated 412–164."
The power pigs are all into the same pile of mud-and-pig-shit, together, 412 to 164! Read it, and you will see that they PROPOSED to make clear that miscarriages would be OK with them, but even THAT language didn't make the final cut!
And this is why I refuse to refer to anti-abortion extremists as "pro life". Because there's nothing pro life about forcing a woman to continue a pregnancy with zero chance of producing a healthy, viable baby, especially when it's likely to result in injuries that threaten the woman's life or at the very least make it difficult or impossible for her to have children in the future.
With a name like Noriega I wouldn't trust this S.O.B.. Plus it's Austin.
Has anyone checked to make sure the driver didn't work for the city?
Never thought of that. Could be, it's Austin.
Home earnings allow all people to paint on-line and acquire weekly bills to financial institutions. Earn over $500 each day and get payouts each week instantly to account for financial institutions. (bwj-03) My remaining month of earnings was $30,390 and all I do is paint for as much as four hours an afternoon on my computer. Easy paintings and constant earnings are exquisite with this job.

I get paid more than $140 to $170 per hour for working online. I heard about this job 3 months ago and after joining this I have earned easily $10k from this without having online working skills . Simply give it a shot on the accompanying site…
Here is I started.…………>>> http://www.jobsrevenue.com
This was a catastrophic incident and they wanted to ensure that the homeowners were safe and the building was safe...
And nothing makes a resident safer than state revenue.
"Keep Austin Bureaucratic" Isn't a good slogan.
Austism is a terrible condition.
Whatever.
But I really want to know the brand on siding on the house in the photo. That car looks demolished and not a scratch on the siding.
I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
The City of Austin fined our business $4500 last month for damage to our power meter. They accused us of trying to steal power because we had not requested the power be turned on at the new unit we rented that is not yet connected to our other units and will be empty and unused until it gets upgraded.
They supposedly conducted an investigation in which they failed to speak to the tenant (us), the building owner, or any person associated with the property. So, zero due process. They said we could appeal their findings, which they have still not presented to us.
The damage was almost certainly caused by the homeless person who was sleeping in the enclosure surrounding the meters. I base my theory on the lock that was cut off, the garbage left behind and the human feces just outside the area. I assume they will tell us we are being racist.
In those 30 days, in addition to the time your contractor needs to do the job make sure to allow time for inspection of rough electric, final electric, and plumbing work at the city inspector's convenience.
Great article, Mike. I appreciate your work, I’m now creating over $35,600 dollars each month simply by doing a simple job online! I do know You currently making a lot of greenbacks online from $28,600 dollars, its simple online operating jobs.

My tribe is the tribe of intelligent beings who actually USE their intelligence benevolently. This clearly excludes MANY from BOTH Teams R & D!
So R Mac Who Talks and Snorts Smack... What is YOUR excuse for “Team R” in Idaho, who can’t even see straight enough to carve out ONE precious (but VERY clear!) exception for the life of the mother?
(I offer NO excuses, for stupid turds in Austin OR in Idaho!)
Non-evil people know that it is QUITE common among the "normies" to think and act benevolently! NO grandeur is needed for this!
To wrap your mind around this, start here… M. Scott Peck, the People of the Lie, https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0684848597/reasonmagazinea-20/
People who are evil attack others instead of facing their own failures. Peck demonstrates the havoc these people of the lie work in the lives of those around them. He presents, from vivid incidents encountered in his psychiatric practice, examples of evil in everyday life.
R Mac Who Talks and Snorts Smack… Your comment reveals almost totally pure projection! Since you lack benevolence, in the midst of your narcissism, dishonesty, and malevolent evil, you find it just about impossible to imagine that there are VAST numbers of people on the planet, who try sincerely to think and act benevolently! I know you’re highly unlikely to actually LISTEN, but let me tell ya… You are flat-out WRONG here, in your projection-based assumptions!
PS, many of the truly benevolent just barely give a shit about politics to start with, knowing that there's not much that they can do about it, anyway.
