'I'm Totally Uncancelable': Megyn Kelly Speaks Out on Left-Wing and Right-Wing Media Bias
The journalist has taken a great deal of flack—from both sides.

Today, big media has an agenda. Fox and most talk radio push right; most other media spin left.
For a long time, leftists pretended this wasn't happening. In 36 years at CBS and ABC, none of my colleagues admitted leaning left. There were only "facts" versus "narrow-minded conservatives."
Then Bernie Goldberg's book Bias came out. The book is dead-on accurate, and a huge bestseller, but my ABC peers wouldn't even read it.
Soon after, annoyed by my wish to cover failures of big government, ABC dropped me as 20/20 co-anchor.
My new Fox News bosses didn't like my libertarian arguments either, but they never stopped me from making them. They let me argue that America should allow more legal immigration, stop policing the world, end the drug war, etc. Conservatives were still nice to me the hall.
There I befriended Megyn Kelly. She seemed neutral politically. But when she got a prime-time show, she made it clear she found some leftist opinion just silly.
That's when the envy and hatred came out.
As her friend, it was ugly watching it happen.
First, President Donald Trump's fans attacked her. She had done the professional thing, confronting Trump about his calling women "fat pigs," etc.
Trump then took to the media—including Fox—to say, "I have zero respect for Megyn Kelly" and, "She had blood coming out of…"
Trump fans then threatened Kelly.
What I didn't know until I interviewed her this week is that there was also blowback from our Fox boss, Roger Ailes. He told Kelly not to be so hard on Trump.
"He was scared," she says in my new video. "He was losing a portion of the Fox News base to people who felt Fox wasn't being fair to Trump."
Then, when Ailes got embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal and Kelly didn't leap to his defense, Fox's nasty "media relations" department came after her.
"They would cut you," says Kelly, meaning they would spread dirt on their own reporters.
Still, she says, "they look like absolute teddy bears compared to where else I've been."
"Where else" she's been is NBC, where she moved after Fox.
That's when we saw how stupid and vicious the leftist media can be.
Because Kelly was pretty and successful, other reporters, especially women, hated her. Because she once worked at Fox, she was "evil" and fair game.
People attacked her simply for interviewing bad guys, like Vladimir Putin and Alex Jones.
News shows like 60 Minutes win awards for interviewing despicable people, but now the media claimed that it was "horrible" for Kelly to interview Jones.
After Kelly interviewed Putin, The Daily Show's Michelle Wolf sneered, "Seeing someone so conniving trying to manipulate the American public was disgusting….I'm not talking about Putin, I'm talking about [giggle] Megyn Kelly."
Women even attacked Kelly for asking Jane Fonda about plastic surgery.
"How much work have you had, b---?'" shrieked The View's Joy Behar.
Then, shortly before Halloween, Kelly, after she asked a question about dressing in blackface, said, "When I was a kid, that was OK." Her NBC guests nodded in agreement.
But the media pounced on Kelly.
"Kelly has always been racist," said Elle magazine.
Her comment was "jaw-dropping," said a column in The New York Times.
Lefties like Behar and Jimmy Kimmel had actually worn blackface, but Kelly was vilified just for asking a question about it.
The next day, nearly in tears, she apologized.
The following day, NBC fired her.
Now she tells me: "The leftist media and the woke left are the most insufferable people we have."
She's free to say things like that today because she's her own boss. Kelly now has a popular podcast that runs on SiriusXM.
"I'm totally uncancelable," says Kelly. "That was my only mission in coming back into our business."
She calls most of the media "stupid, uninformed ignoramuses" and is upset that they "are the ones driving our national discussion."
I agree. I'm glad that more people now can get another side of the story from independent journalists like Kelly.
And…me. At Stossel TV, I bring many points of view together for civilized debate. I don't shout anyone down. Even when I disagree, we let them have their say.

What's worth cancelling?
John & Megyn have no more to contribute to America's intellectual life than Harry & Meghan to Britain's.
Coming from the 85 year old decrepit, worthless, intellectually bankrupt sack of subhuman dog shit who has to spam his chicken little climate hysteria blogspot on a website with about 35 active daily users that's pretty fucking rich. Die already you stupid fucking old piece of shit.

I get paid over 190$ per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I’ve been doing..

The logo looks like a Swastika. Whether it's an Eastern "good luck charm" or a symbol of Nazism, I'll say Hard Pass!
I enjoy Stossel's videos. He's always on the mark, as for Ms. Kelly, would.
But what about John? Wouldn't you hit that?
I can't speak for Adan, but this here Pan thinks they're both "easy on the eyes," as my late Aunt put it! Would and Would...in an FMM, MFM, or MMF threesome...with a choice of toys for Megan! 🙂
Her GQ photo spread was fire.
+1 definitely wood worthy!
I think the Megan Kelly story is instructive and worth telling, and the blowback she got from the Trump camp was way disproportionate... but...
“The point she brought up was one that should have been brought up in a presidential debate”
Is it though? Expressing outrage that you would call women who attack you names? Is that really a real issue? Or is that an attempt to frame normal, non-sexist interactions as evidence of sexism?
Why not “you call people names when you argue with them?” There certainly was and is no evidence that it is a gender-specific tic. Going ad-homenin is kinda his thing. So attempting to frame it as a “have you stopped beating your wife yet” gotcha was not at all “down the middle” as a neutral debate moderator. It was clearly and unambiguously a negative ad disguised as a neutral question.
Neutral would have been “you go to personal attacks and name calling frequently in your interactions…. do you think that js good for civil discourse and fitting for the president of the US?”
See the difference? The underlying assumption of her question was “women are specially protected and society at large acknowledges that they cannot handle being called names”.
Of course, it worked… he predictably handled it the same way, by making a personal ad-homenin attack. It revealed his base character… “come at me and I will come at you harder.”
But don’t pretend that it was just an obvious and neutral question in a race between a man and a woman candidate… to attempt to set ground rules that you must in all things and all ways be polite to women because they are women and that any attack on a woman is evidence of misogyny.
She didnt attemot to frame Clinton as too weak to handle rough and tumble politics because she is a woman. She didn’t ask Clinton why she was too weak to handle name calling… pointing to her history of invoking claims vast conspiracies against her whenever negative stories come out... her history of avoiding accountability by claiming questions about her performance are personal attacks motivated by hatred of women....
It was just as easy to frame the debate in this manner. And probably more on-point. Countering personal attack with personal attack is much more defensible than countering serious questions about job performance with personal attack. But more importantly, attempting to take a general personality trait (personality flaw?) and dishonestly frame it as specific to women was not "down the middle" and was not a perfectly acceptable question for a debate moderator.
You could do the same thing with any opinion columnist today who writes about public figures. "You called Herschel Walker stupid, and Kanye West crazy and racist... you even attack black columnists like Thomas Sowell...." it would be easy to do an ambush question like that in a live interview on Jimmy Kimmel and frame public perception of some columnist as a racist who has to defend his racism. That wouldn't make it "a perfectly valid question" unless there was a unique pattern based on race.
Notably, she did the same and much closer to the "stopped beating your wife?" rhetoric with Scott Walker on abortion.
Would you really let a mother die rather than have an abortion (to save the life of a child)?
I think Trump would have enough bravado, but wouldn't be... intellectually focused enough to punch back with, "Megyn would you let a man sacrifice a child for his own life?"
Says a lot when Twitter responds with the most sensible: 'Deliberate abortion is never medically necessary.' take.
John and Megyn were taught sticks and stones might break their bones, but words could never hurt them.
They did not have to sit down to dinner at Mar Del Lago across from Nick Fuentes ranting about America as a bazaar with nothing on offer but rocks and cockroaches on sticks.

This, in a nutshell, really defines the difference we, as libertarians, see between conservatives and progressives (who call themselves "liberal", but are anything but). The progressives got rid of Stossel as he was inconvenient to their narrative; as he challenged their worldview. The conservatives tolerated Stossel and even listened to what he had to say. They were far more willing to modify their worldview based on new information and good arguments.
They were far more willing to modify their worldview based on new information and good arguments.
That used to be true. Now they're just like leftists in that after conversations they may appear to change their minds, but upon returning from the hive they're back to repeating the same rhetoric as if the conversations never happened.
More projection from you?
I would never insinuate that you even pretend to have an open mind about anything. So my comment does not apply to you.
upon returning from the hive
What hive? Where? Their Klan meetings? Their neo-Nazi meetings? Their tiki torch rallies? Around the various Confederate, Columbus, and even Lincoln statues that dot the countryside? Their cloistered compound in Waco? Their remote cabins in Ruby Ridge? Their 'rally' at the Capitol?
Or do you mean the various Mayor's offices, Governor's Mansions, and FBI field offices in NYC, DC, LA, SF, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Detroit, Atlanta, Anchorage, etc., etc., etc. are all buzzing hives of conservative villainy? Or the hives of conservatism spreading the villainous buzz at the NYT, WaPo, HuffPo, Vox, FB, Google, or even Twitter?
Where is this hive of conservatism? The Vatican? East Berlin? The Pentagon? Arlington National Cemetery?
It is a conspiracy so vast that its center is at its periphery, and its periphery hosts dozens of Trump golf courses.
that's a great synopsis of the two political wings IMO.
I would only add that conservatives may fire you, but liberals will make it so you cannot work "here" - but you also cannot work anywhere!! Their goal is to turn you into political kryptonite!! Their vitriol and hatred is beyond compare! If it were legal - they'd go all Joesph Stalin on your ass...
There are some elements missing from the biography. Kelly was only hyped by the left because she went after Trump and others on the right, so her fame and payday were for being a useful tool to the left. But once she moved to NBC (thus revealing she was on the left) she lost her value to them and thus her protection.
She was incredibly naïve, and further doesn't seem to have any supportable positions. Other than hating Trump and willingness to be a tool for the left she's never taken another stance. So what is there to support?
So what is there to support?
I can think of a couple things.
If moving to MSNBC showed she was a leftie, why did working at Fox not show she was a rightie?
Be consistent.
you understand that she was fired from Fox - people do tend to go find another job in their field after being fired - I don't think the fact that she landed at NBC for a short time is any indication that she's a lefty. If anything, her short tenure there indicates she was not!
I don't think she hates Trump but she did frame her pre election questions from the predominant narrative of her peers rather than from some more neutral perspective.
Her comments about his presidency have been fairly reasonable despite that interaction that neither of them looks good from.
I was so rooting for her to follow thru with her on air personality irl when she got called out for black face. She told it like it was. When nbc made her apologize, she shoulda went strong and not cried and not apologize. That was her naive move. She was willing to roll the dice, but in the end, wasn’t willing to lose the house if she got called. If she woulda left without apologizing and telling nbc to fuck off, she would have been the GOAT - at least for women. She’d have been made for life once people came around and realized who was the real victim there.
I usually tune in to her siriusxm show she has good guests and is entertaining.

While John and Megyn were taught sticks and stones might. break their bones, but words could never hurt them, postmodern kids have face Nick Fuentes ranting about America as a bazaar with nothing on offer but rocks and cockroaches on sticks.
Why post the same gibberish multiple times in the same thread?
I like MK a lot. Her desire to interview an assortment of people with differing ideologies is awesome. The podcast about Israel that had debate/discussion between Alan Dershowitz and Shadi Hamid was a really great show.
I do think she’s not as academically inclined as she thinks she is. But she makes up for that by surrounding herself with interesting guests. Only issue that I have is she sometimes tends to steer the conversation to her own personal hot button issues rather than keeping the organic flow of the conversation going.
Just for the record, academically speaking:

No; The people of the USA no longer understand what the USA is.
The USA is a *CONSTITUTIONAL* Union of Republican States.
The USA has been conquered by Democratic National Socialism (syn; Nazism).
The sad thing is not that power-hungry controllers try to control discussion - they've always done that! What's really sad is that even when most people could access information from all sides on an issue they don't bother, preferring to hear only what reinforces their own beliefs. And even when they do manage to come into contact with information from outside their echo chamber, it doesn't seem to affect their opinions much if at all.
Great article, Mike. I appreciate your work, I’m now creating over $35000 dollars each month simply by cd13 doing a simple job online! I do know You currently making a lot of greenbacks online from $28000 dollars, its simple online operating jobs.

Without the looks, she would have been successful mother and career woman elsewhere but outside of opinion and journalism where she's been a joke. Her comments about the media in general are correct, but she should have included herself.
She was expected to lob softball questions at Trump and didn't, so the right turned on her and called her a leftist. Trump's answer was basically "Nobody respects women more than I do, unless they're a no talent dye-job bimbo like Megyn Kelly."
Then she went to NBC and didn't fully embrace the woke narrative and so she was turned on there and branded a racist.
She's one of the more objective journalists out there, a rarity.
Megyn is a normal person. Which makes it difficult for many in the media - and here - to deal with her. The more you get worked up about Megyn, the more you need therapy.
Normal except she portrays confidence like no other woman - maybe Oprah. I think she’s badass. Kelly. Oprah can go to hell and die.
