Brickbat: It's What's for Dinner

The government of Haarlem, Netherlands, has banned ads for meat on buses and bus shelters and any other government-owned spaces. The ban also covers ads for fossil fuels, vehicles with internal combustion engines, and holiday flights. City officials said the move is aimed at reducing emissions of greenhouse gases.

Another version of Dutch disease ?
I just worked part-time from my apartment for 5 weeks, but I made $30,030. I lost my former business and was soon worn out. Thank goodness, I found this employment online and I was able to start working from home right away. (rfv-07) This top career is achievable by everyone, and it will improve their online revenue by:.

Who wants the image of a steak associated with diesel fumes anyway.
A google search of steak with diesel yields results about The Rock’s fake beef with Vin Diesel years ago.
Not the funny stuff I was hoping for.
I work from home providing various internet services for an hourly rate of $80 USD. I never thought it would be possible, but my trustworthy friend persuaded (emu-10) me to take the opportunity after telling me how she quickly earned 13,000 dollars in just four weeks while working on the greatest project. The WEF mind-set strikes again.
“Bugs, Mr Rico, zillions of them.” We’re gonna eat ‘em all!
And be happy.
"This is for all you new people. I have only one rule. Everybody
fightseats bugs, no one quits. If you don't do your job, I'll kill you myself! Welcome to theRoughnecksWEF!"“ no one quits. If you don’t do your job, I’ll kill you myself! ” That line really pissed me off when I first heard it. It so counter to the text of the book, and shows complete disregard for the entire message of a parable about responsibility. RAH must have rolled over in his grave when he heard it, and I’m surprised that Virginia Heinlein didn’t have some remaining editorial authority.
"heard", not "hear" - no more of that sort of thing!
An edit feature....
Sigh. At long last!
Now we can rest easy at not having to explain that we meant to say "not" something, or not having to read "eth" when the writer intended "the".
Damn.... but it times out!
And I see that "it" should have been "it's"
LOL
Well, there is always a way to mess up, it just takes trying a bit harder.
Noodles soaked in melted margarine, all people can afford when the left runs the government.
Who can afford to melt margarine when a kilowatt -hour costs a Euro?
The global warming will melt it for you.
Except, you won't be allowed to use a gas stove to melt that margarine or boil the noodles.
Also, you can't use the electric stove, microwave, hot plate, or coffee pot from 3 to 9 PM. They shut down at least half the nuclear and fossil fuel generating capacity and switched to solar, which gets less than 50% as much sun by 3 PM and none at all by 6. Enjoy your cold sandwich and room temperature ersatz coffee after work! (Assuming you could even get to work when they expect you to charge your electric car from solar power overnight.)
Don’t they have little boys to jam fingers in holes in dikes (calm down groomers, that’s not what I mean) to guard against rising seas over there anyway?
holiday flights
Anti-holiday flight ads would be OK, though? If someone put up a travel poster saying "DO NOT COME TO MARTHA'S VINEYARD!", that would be an appropriately green message, right?
Good thing the elites have chauffeur-driven limousines with tinted windows so they can't see the ads on the busses anyways. Not that the anti-meat or anti-flying or anti-fossil fuels advocacy would apply to them, of course.
Life in Haarlem only makes the man tougher.
Maybe not 1984, but at least 1978.
*WHAT?!!!!*
There's gonna be an edit button!
There is! There is! There is an edit button!
Our prayers (or supplications) are answered!
first outlaw advertising , then outlaw it on social media, then outlaw it in public discussions then you simply outlaw it for no reason other than they want to. this doesn't save the planet
I ate a veggie burger for dinner last night, now I have greenhouse gasses.
LOL. Beans are the main vegetable source of protein, and that _is_ an effect of beans, well known to everyone except the woke idiocracy.
You people are not taking this threat seriously enough.
And don't think they'll let you have synthetic "meat" either, that's just a "transition food" as a vegan activist explained to me. It will eventually be banned for the same reason they ban vaping. They object to you enjoying meat as much they care about animal welfare or climate change.
But they don't really care about animal welfare or climate change. What they really care about is the feeling they get when they can dictate what others must eat or watch or read or do. And P.S., the *really* hate it if someone tells *them* what to do.
I wonder how vegans taste.
I suspect they are very, very bitter.
That dirty little secret is finally getting more and more play. None of this was ever really about "saving the planet", it was always about a bunch of wannabe dictators getting off on a power trip.
on buses.
so many people will be pleased with the edit function.
Haarlem, Netherlands
The whitest Haarlem that has ever existed.
Downtown is pretty much an open air mall with cobblestones and a really old church that has a really cool pipe organ. So, yeah. So white, in so many ways.
Haarlem is nice, actually. Or it used to be, haven't been there in a dozen years.
You must be a real globetrotter!
There is a tulip in Netherlands Haarlem...
"Du-utch Haarlem" scans better.
“Do you condemn former President Trump’s normalization of violence against journalists?”
Remember that from last week?
This week, an 18-year-old was murdered because his murderer believed him to be a political extremist, a "semi-fascist" if you will.
"Shannon Brandt, 41, mowed down 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson early Sunday morning over what he later claimed was a “political argument” over whether “the teen was part of a Republican extremist group." North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind confirmed Brandt was the one “who called 911 to report the crash” around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, but that didn’t stop Brandt from abandoning the scene before officers arrived. Law enforcement confronted and arrested Brandt at his home where he admitted to attacking Ellingson based on political motivations and leaving the scene where Ellingson lay dying.
This took place literally only a few days after Pres. Biden took to the nation's airwaves to condemn about half the population:
"Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic," Biden said. "MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of the law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election." Biden when on to say that “MAGA Republicans” [are] “a threat to the very soul of this country” and claimed that Republicans had “blind loyalty to a single leader and a willingness to engage in political violence.”
First of all, this murder is not being covered at all by CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC...a google search shows pretty much only the New York Post, the Washington Times, and the right-leaning "news" outlets. Who among us thinks that had a MAGA-hat wearing killer run down a Biden supporter, the coverage would be just about 24/7 for about 5 or 6 days and every "expert" would be trotted out to claim that Turmp should be charged with the murder.
But if it was being covered at all by the MSM, how long would we have to wait before a reporter deigned to ask "Do you condemn President Biden's normalization of violence against his political opponents?"
OMG I can't believe I didn't hear about this on MSM!!! Oh wait!
Isn't this just the type of thing progs and dems claim results from anyone speaking even negatively about anything, or pointing out facts? I'm sure all those media hand wringing op-eds are currently in the works as we speak.... surely!
So CBS news finally mentioned this.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/shannon-brandt-vehicular-homicide-cayler-ellingson-says-he-hit-teen-after-political-argument-north-dakota/
Read the article there and not a single mention of the political sides and who believed what, just that "A driver charged with fatally striking a teenager in North Dakota allegedly told investigators he purposely hit the teen with his SUV after they had a political argument, according to court documents."
CBS intentionally trying to overlook the whole notion that a leftists killed a young man because of his political beliefs. I'm somewhat surprised CBS didn't try to make the killer the "good guy", after all, there's one fewer Nazis in the world according to progressive thought.
"CBS intentionally trying to overlook the whole notion that a leftists killed a young man because of his political beliefs." That's old news. Democrat caught molesting children, his party is not mentioned. Republican caught with a "wide stance" in the men's room, and the news damned well covers his party.
It took forty years of propaganda, but now global warming alarmists have enough power to seriously limit our freedom and quality of life.
So it begins........ :/
Also this isn't even just the beginning.. Anyone paying attention to what western governments and elites have been doing to the agriculture industry, would no this is a lot more about making good finally on all those failed predictions over the last ~100+ years, of imminent food shortages.. Due to "climate change", human activities and "over population".
They want you to eat bugs, but bugs are are animals too.
Insects share the kingdom Animalia with all animals on earth.
