Brickbat: Wake Up, Sleepyhead

Winnipeg, Canada, resident Angela Chalmers said she was awakened one morning by the sound of her dog barking at the top of the stairs. She got up to see what was going on, and as she got halfway down the stairs saw a strange man sleeping on her sofa. She grabbed the dog and got her roommate. They barricaded themselves in a closet and called 911. She said the dispatcher told her the police were busy that night and suggested she wake the strange man up. Chalmers refused. About 20 minutes later, cops finally showed up. She said it took four of them to get the man out of her home. In a statement, the Winnipeg police said the dispatcher "deviated from standard practice" during parts of the call and has been given feedback.

The USDA is willing to starve poor kids to force its woke agenda on the schools.
Schools ordering food for the beginning of the fall semester could be facing uncertainty over whether they’ll receive federal assistance that’s the center of a legal battle for being tied to sex discrimination rules.
Twenty-two attorneys general are suing the Biden administration to prevent any loss of federal nutrition assistance for failing to obey the funding catch tying the money to other issues.
In May, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced any state, local agency, program operator or sponsor receiving its funding must “investigate allegations of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation.” The USDA also required all organizations to update discrimination policies and signage to include prohibitions against discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

More judges are abandoning the sinking Donkey ship:
Two life-long Democrats are now running for judicial reelection as Republicans in Texas border communities. Both women say they are fighting against the Biden administration’s open border policies that they argue are wreaking havoc in their small communities.
The single reason they switched parties, they say, is because the Biden administration's policies led to more than 2 million people coming through the southern border from over 150 countries. The costs of crime stemming from an open border – increased trafficking and smuggling of people, weapons and guns – to their communities has prompted them to say, “enough is enough” and do something about it.
Both judges were among the first to declare an invasion on July 5, citing an imminent threat to the lives of their residents.

Always prioritize easy calls, you dumb dispatcher!
In a statement, the Winnipeg police said the dispatcher "deviated from standard practice" during parts of the call and has been given feedback."
Oh, the horror! Not feedback!
(and people want to "flee" the US to go to this place?)
I think we should assist anyone that wants to join the Canadian Peoples Republic--and accept some political refugees in return.
What *does* a dispatcher have to do to get fired?
They should have followed the Dispatcher's advice. Wake him up and make him get out of the house at gun point. Oh wait! It's Canada.
Clarity is key: "There's a barbiturate user passed out on my couch."
In Canada, I think "There's a truck driver passed out on my couch with a 'No-Vax' hat on" might get the Mounties there faster.
"When seconds count, the police are too busy to show up".
Twenty minutes later. Holy crap, I bet that broke the record for response times! Didn't we have a story just yesterday were the cops literally did not show up until the next day after someone had died?
"deviated from standard practice"
supposed to suggest Tim Hortons & a Moosehead, hoser.
Her dog looks pretty big. She should have sicced it on him. Tear his ass up.
her dog was a pussy; just like her and her wife.
"She can't kick him out!!! He might not survive. It's MURDER", Pro-Life Gov-Gun Power-Mad [WE] mobsters.

Sworry! That's oor fault for not making sure she apologized enoof for our oofficers' being too busy, eh. She's beeen duly trained in the proper etiquette now. Sworry for the inconvenience.
