Brickbat: At Least They'll Be Used to Prison
Florida Department of Corrections employees Ronald Connor, Christopher Rolon, and Kirk Walton have been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated abuse of an elderly or disabled adult, and battery/cruel treatment of a detainee in the beating death of inmate Ronald Gene Ingram. Ingram was being transferred from Dade Correctional Institution, where he was in the mental health unit, to Lake Correctional Institution. But before he could be removed from his cell, he threw urine on one officer. Prosecutors said the officers handcuffed Ingram, removed him from his cell and beat him. He had to be carried to the transport van after the beating. When the van stopped, he was found to be dead. The cause of death was ruled to be internal bleeding from a punctured lung.

Petty revenge… Immediate gratification for your “punishment boner”… Is it worth it?
Now let’s all go work ourselves up into a lather, and kill some abortion doctors!
/sarc… It’s a sad, sad day when I have to add that…

*** ‘Let’s Burn This Place Down’: Left Calls For Violence After Treasonous SCOTUS Abortion Leak***
Ian Millhiser, a senior correspondent at Vox, was one of the first to use incendiary language to describe the leaked ruling.
“Seriously, shout out to whoever the hero was within the Supreme Court who said ‘f-ck it! Let’s burn this place down,’” he tweeted shortly after the leak surfaced.
Other blue checkmarks on Twitter called for the nation, its institutions, and the highest court in the land to literally and figuratively burn to the ground.
Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Laurie Garrett directly threatened Justice Samuel Alito, who reportedly authored the majority opinion, according to Politico.
“OK, Alito, I’ll call your ‘enflamed debate’ & ‘deepened division’ and raise you with millions of angry women in the streets. You #GOP folks want to play poker? Show your hand and watch what happens,” she wrote.
Star Trek star George Takei and progressive “squad” member Rep. Pramila Jayapal called for Americans to take to the streets and riot as they did during the 2020 summer of rage.
“Those motherf*****s really did it. First they came for Black voters, then they targeted LGBTQ+ families. Now, women of America, they’re overruling Roe v. Wade. We have to unite and strike back. Take to the streets. Overwhelm them at the ballot box. They have gone too damn far,” Takei rage-tweeted on Monday night.
“People should take to the streets across the country. Right now, the Senate can pass an exception to the filibuster and codify Roe v. Wade. This is the most dramatic setback for women’s rights in decades,” Jayapal wrote. “I will continue to fight tooth and nail for every single person’s right to have a legal and safe abortion in this country. We will not accept this sitting down and we WILL take this to the streets and the voting booth.
“I’m terrified about the draft opinion released tonight. This is an attack on our human rights—overturning Roe will disproportionately impact low-income pregnant people, especially WOC and undocumented folks. Roe must be protected — I’ll see you in the streets,” New York City Council Member Shahana Hanif wrote before advocating for New York state to “remain a sanctuary to people who want an abortion.”
You can find the exact opposite kinds of (anti-abortion fanatical) comments right here on these comments pages, every time that abortion comes up! And SOME of these “pro-life” commenters, on a regular basis, urge their political opponents to commit suicide! “Pr-life”, my ass! “Pro” the lives ONLY of those who toe the lines of the authoritarians and totalitarians!
(Same old same old. New day, same old hyper-partisan, self-righteous blowhards.)
I asked:
Source? How many people do you say stated that? Link?
Your source / link was:
Zilch
No surprise
What difference would it make? You will NOT change your fossilized mind anyway!
Please NOTE that ***ALL*** of the anti-abortion fanatics want to PUNISH-PUNISH-PUNISH those who DARE to disobey them! The fact that they won’t specify WHAT offenses should be punished with WHAT exact punishment? Even when asked? What difference does it make? (I have asked the fanatics, and they won’t answer.)
What do YOU think that the punishment should be for deliberately killing a fertilized human egg cell? Ditto the punishments for likewise killing a fertilized egg of an ape… A monkey… A rat… An insect… If your Righteous Punishments from on High are DIFFERENT in these cases, then WHY? And what gives YOU (or the 51% of the voters) the right to punish the rest of us?
That argument cuts both ways. I’ll agree to the grandstanding and moral righteousness if this whole BIG not a big deal issue could just go away for a while……
You’re trying to have a real conversation with a spastic lefty fascist. Who once admitted he eats poop.
Says the numbskull with the giant punishment boner, who joins the other legions of marching morons, in refusing to answer some simple questions!
I think the part that I can’t wrap my head around are the arguments they make in favor of abortion. None of them seem to grasp basic biology. It makes you wonder where the ‘follow the science’ crowd went.
So tell us, please, where is the “science” about the following:
What do YOU think that the punishment should be for deliberately killing a fertilized human egg cell? Ditto the punishments for likewise killing a fertilized egg of an ape… A monkey… A rat… An insect… If your Righteous Punishments from on High are DIFFERENT in these cases, then WHY? WHERE do the differences come from? And what gives YOU (or the 51% of the voters) the right to punish the rest of us?
That is a really not a good argument.
The difference between a fertilized egg of a human vs any other fertilized egg is that the fertilized egg of a human will grow into an actual human with rights while any other fertilised egg can never become a human. Just because they are similar at many points of development doesn’t remove the crucial distinction.
“WHERE do the differences come from?” They come from the DNA of the egg.
This has nothing to do with righteousness. They are different species, superficial similarity at early development doesn’t negate the very real difference in the being that will be born.
Never, ever, have I gotten an answer, when I pose these questions, about what the PUNISHMENTS should be!
So when advanced space aliens come here, you’re ready to blast them to smithereens, obliterate them at will… ‘Cause they have no human DNA? Are not now, will never be, human? Or at the very least, you’re not willing to punish any alien-murderers?
Murdering a space alien should be placed in the law books as a crime, pro-actively. And also to make a point to the troglodytes, about this “sacred human DNA” crap! WHERE does the sacredness come from, for cryin’ out loud to Government Almighty?
I care about human DNA because I am human. No need for any government or almighty at all.
I understand Squirrels probably care more about Squirrel DNA.
Speaking of science… And the politicization of the same… Here’s a good link. I am still reading it…
https://whyevolutionistrue.com/2022/05/03/pinker-vs-the-aaas-on-the-politicization-of-climate-change/
OK, I read it… Is good! Summary: Science lurches to the left!
Will this burning everything down be mostly peaceful?
That sounds like insurrectionist talk to me.
To be far they might never have received proper training on how to beat an inmate.
Why do they even bother? They can always have the other inmates to do it for them.
That’ll teach em
Charged doesn’t mean convicted and convicted doesn’t mean sentenced.
And sentenced doesn’t mean punished severely! I would be OK with a FINE of $1.53 upon being convicted of having “snuffed” an unfinished pre-human of under 3 months of development!
Put them in general population.
