Unmask
The lightweight mesh face covering fulfills the requirements of public health orders while doing nothing to prevent the wearer from sucking in all the oxygen she desires.

Those getting red in the face over mask mandates can breathe a little easier now thanks to the subversive innovation of UnMask. The brand offers consumers a lightweight mesh face covering that fulfills the requirements of those persistent public health orders while doing nothing to prevent the wearer from sucking in all the oxygen and aerosols she desires.
Easier respiration is only one benefit. The product also creates that juvenile joy that only comes from simultaneously honoring and undermining an arbitrary restriction—the COVID-era equivalent of wearing a tuxedo T-shirt to a black-tie event. A variety of colors and patterns lets you add a little style to your subversion.
Like the constricting cloth mask it replaces, UnMask is not the best product for someone with a cough who is visiting grandma. You'll still want an actually effective N95 mask for that. But for those less sensitive occasions where mask mandates are purely performative, UnMask helps you look and perform at your best.

You can also run from the bank you just robbed at full pace without getting winded.
Good point, thanks!
I do like the "unmask" as well. Now, next, let's unmask ALL of the lying, hypocritical politicians, right, left, and center!

I wonder where they're made. (The Jacket used to remind me of this song, but it's spreading).
Returned on a flight last night. Should be the last time I wear a mask. It should be . The airport announcement clearly states "The President has issued a mask order ..". I spent $25 on a small beer and cheese curds to allow a break from wearing a mask. I did grab two masks from the local airport so I did not have to pay for them.
Suck on this Christian.
Says the guy who spent the last two years wearing a mask that didn't work.
And screaming attempted murder to those laughing at his bullshit.
Fuck Joe Friday
How about just no? I don't need an article on how to bend to performance theater. If I wanted to to that I'd just wear around the tshirt I run in everyday so anyone in mask land around me has to smell a years worth of unwashed tshirt BO.
You are not being “subversive “, you are giving in.
You can vape thru it!
I didn't realize I was clicking on an ad. You need to label that shit.
That was my thought too.
Since when is Reason a straight up advertising firm?
I was thinking of a surgical type mask, but with lettering that says "This Mask Doesn't Work,
and Neither Does Yours".
It's only subversive if they don't kick you off the plane. And they will kick you off the plane. As we all know, it isn't just about rules. It's about who has the power to enforce the rules and will those people act ethically. And the answer to that question is usually no.

After a German company took ours over, my boss was told he had to wear a button down shirt and tie to manager meetings. So he got a white button down shirt and white tie, and had them tie-dyed. Another manager figured his bright Hawaiian shirt counted because it was button down.
You know what else he could have worn for the new German management?

He must have been wearing camouflage. I didn't see him. Really adds to the mystery of You Know Who Else.
I've been using something similar all along:

Exactly! There are multiple providers who have been selling breathable "subversive" masks for over a year. An NOW Reason happens to notice, when the mask requirements are all going away? So disappointing.
How about I don't, and say I don't?
Fuck off, profiteering slavers.

On my last Southwest flight they reminded us to keep our masks on while ordering drinks, or it would defeat the purpose. Must have been a California-based flight crew.
And once on the plane you set a drink out n dare someone to say something.
It's a matter of time before they do, you're thrown off the plane and put on a no-fly list. Is it a risk worth taking?
Keep masks on while ordering? Sure. While drinking? Fuck no.
