Brickbat: The Next Sunday Must Have Been Interesting

Bingham County, Idaho, Sheriff Craig Rowland has been charged with felony aggravated battery, felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor exhibition of a gun for pulling a gun on a church youth group. A group of girls, ages 12 to 16, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint was placing "thankful turkeys" on the doors of members of their congregation. This involved writing "thank you" notes shaped like turkeys, taping them on doors of homes, ringing doorbells and running away. Everything went fine until they got to Rowland's door. He grabbed a gun, ran out of his house in his underwear, pulled the driver of their car out by her hair, and pointed a gun at her.

He should be tried and sentenced while wearing only underwear, just to underscore his shameful behavior.
He had a boner to pick with them girls.
He would NOT have done that to the festive turkey-posting girl, had she NOT been "disturbing the peace" by gibbering about gobbler giblets, into a megaphone, as she ran away!
(That's the part that Reason omitted, here. NO ONE likes to see, or even hear about, gobbler giblets!)
So apparently NONE of this would have happened, had the LEO not been a member of the local Mormon Church (had the Church had the good sense to kick him out of the Church for being a LEO). The girls were only turkey-fying good church-goers.
So then, this shows to go ya... We need to defund, defang, defenestrate, ***AND*** excommunicate the police!
If there was a "No Soliciting" sign on Rowland's door, I'm on his side.
Or a "Forget the Dog Beware of Owner" sign.
Dumping ten-ish pounds of the worst possible meat on someone's door does sound like littering, but chasing them down the street naked with a gun is still overreacting.
They were turkey-shaped note cards.
Who would be a police officer these days? I remember when a cop could get his doorbell rung, be so afraid for his family that he would drive off (leaving them alone) and shoot (for resisting arrest) the first teenager he found
He should be disciplined for violating procedure by failing to shoot a dog.
If the girls had had a dog you can bet it would have been dealt with appropriately.

His defense seems to be... he thought they were native Americans:
