Joe Biden Puts a Happy Gloss on Disappointing Jobs Report
Economists predicted that we'd see 575,000 new jobs in November. A new Bureau of Labor Statistics report says only 210,000 were created.

President Joe Biden attempted to put a happy gloss on today's disappointing jobs report, touting the overall employment gains during his administration and stressing that the inflationary pressures Americans are currently experiencing are definitely not his fault.
The U.S. economy added 210,000 jobs in November, with much of that growth occurring in the warehousing, transportation, construction, and manufacturing sectors, according to a new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Jobs in retail declined, however. Overall, the unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percentage points to 4.2 percent.
The top-line numbers in the report are much lower than the 575,000 new jobs economists had been predicting. The Wall Street Journal reports that November's numbers represent the lowest rate of job growth since last December and are significantly below the 546,000 jobs added in October.
This month's jobs numbers could be revised upward, as past jobs reports have been. The president was quick to claim the job growth that did occur as a victory.
"This year we can reflect on an extraordinary bit of progress. Our economy is markedly stronger than it was a year ago, and today the incredible news that our unemployment rate has fallen to 4.2 percent," said Biden at a White House press conference. "It's a sign we're on the right track."
In addition to jobs, the president said that progress on persistent supply chain issues was being made, citing the statistic that the number of containers sitting for more than eight days at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach was down 40 percent over the past month.
"They're getting off the docks, into trains, into trucks, into vehicles, to get them to store shelves," said Biden.
The actual picture at those ports is a bit more nuanced. While the number of containers staying more than eight days is falling, FreightWaves, a logistics publication, notes that the number of containers stuck at the Port of Los Angeles for more than 13 days has increased.
A Wednesday article from FreightWaves also notes that there's been no decline in the number of container ships waiting to unload at those Southern California ports. Numbers cited by port and Biden administration officials about the falling number of stalled ships are actually just a product of more ships waiting far enough away from ports where they're not counted by some measurements, the article explains.
As to the decades-high 6 percent inflation Americans are experiencing, Biden stressed that other countries are also facing higher prices because of the pandemic and that he was doing everything he could to bring prices down. The president noted his decision to release 50 million barrels of oil from the country's strategic reserves last month, which he said was responsible for falling wholesale gas prices.
He said he would also have the Federal Trade Commission launch investigations to make sure that those wholesale prices are passed on to Americans at the pump.
Some commenters were a little less sanguine about the new jobs numbers than Biden.
Sean Higgins, a research fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said the reported job growth was "a gloomy sign that the economy is being battered by the supply chain crisis and the Biden administration's attempt to force workers to get vaccinations."
News of the spreading omicron variant has seen stocks tumble in recent days. At the press conference today, Biden said that his administration would be rolling out a new campaign to get the vaccinated booster shots and setting up new family vaccination clinics.
When asked by a reporter if his administration would impose a vaccine requirement for domestic air travel, Biden didn't rule it out but said he thought the current requirement that interstate train and plane travelers wear masks was sufficient.

I wonder how many of those "moved" containers were simply shuffled around, like moving your car a foot to confuse meter maids.
You can get a rough idea of what the jobs figure should show by dividing the population (330M) by life expectancy (80) to get 4M new people a year, and divide by 12 to get how many per month (333K). The fact that 1/3 of those did not find a job, but the unemployment rate went down, tells you someone is cooking the books.
A report had blue areas at about 4 million lost jobs since jan 2020 and red states at just over 1 million lost jobs.
Biden is claiming extraordinary growth from government mandates job losses. It is amazing to see. It could be worse than the 2 cent savings on gas chart the democrats put out.
Biden isn't up to the job (neither was Donnie-Boy).
The best we can hope for is nothing. Gridlock.
One team ordered tax breaks and a reduction of spending in all departments (most he could do without congress). the other wants to increase spending, taxes, regulation, and control energy.
The best you can do is not supporting the latter as you constantly do. You're nothing but someone trying to hide the tyranny of the left.

Of course you don’t, that was a hundred years ago. Who changed that I wonder?
Got buttgag
as usual they lie about " unemployment rate."
They pretend thats how many are out of work.
The U6 is NEW CLAIMS, not the unemployed they throw under the Bus.
Or in Harris case, the Train
And, of course... ....FUCK JOE BIDEN ( twice on Sunday)
"The fact that 1/3 of those did not find a job, but the unemployment rate went down, tells you someone is cooking the books."
No, its your blind ignorance.
Unemployment is the U-6, new unemployment claims.
It has nothing to do with not finding jobs.
Youve fallen for a continuing Media Lie, like
" masks protect" and "inflation causing price increases."
"..."inflation causing price increases."..."
Yes, it does. You should really quit making a public ass or yourself.
Inflation results when more money is chasing the same number of goods, as is happening now, and "money" does not have to be printed paper, it could be digital records (as it often is now) or Camel cigarettes as it was in Europe, 1945.
You may have read something somewhere, but you should really read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect You are at the left end of the knowledge scale.
" The fact that 1/3 of those did not find a job, but the unemployment rate went down, tells you someone is cooking the books."
I do not doubt there is jiggery pokery going on.
But lab force participation is also a factor. Meaning that a significant number of people have simply given up on gainful employment.
Which would not necessarily be a problem in and of itself. But declining participation is an indicator of reduced production, and reduced production in the presence of fiscal stimulus guarantees serious and lasting inflation.
Why is he unmasked?
Because he’s not one of us little people.
Only took you 15 months to post your L?
HO2 under the bridge.
Nice.
What a dumbass.
There is literally only one thing the government can do to create jobs without causing harm.
GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY AND LET PEOPLE LIVE THEIR FUCKING LIVES!
I feel better now.
I agree, sarcasmic. It really is as simple as the government just stepping back now (not adding regulatory burdens, not attempting to implement vaccine mandates, not destroy fossil fuel production, etc), and letting the American people get on with the business of living with liberty.
Studiously neutral (on the economy) is a good term from this week. It fits.
Are you bipolar or did you switch liquor brands again?
When Psaki responded to this news on some show or another, she claimed that Americans don't really respond to economic data, they care about what they can see in their lives. She then explained how the Democrats needed to start pointing out all these wonderful things -- instead of stating the obvious: all Biden's ideas are terrible and are contributing to the crisis.
"Look we know the costs of food and gas are up, but look at the bright side! If you had any kids, you'd now be eligible for leave!"
Gas is down 2 cents in the last week!!! Stop lying!

That graph was hilarious and rightly got dunked on over and over. My favorites were the ones who zoomed out to election day.
Just for the record, that's about fear of more lockdowns because of the new variant. It sure as hell isn't because the markets are expecting more people to go back to work.
There's also the tapping in to our strategic oil reserves.
So that we can send 3 days worth of US oil usage to China.

JUST IN - United Kingdom: #COVID19 will be a "threat to the NHS for at least the next five years" and "testing and vaccines may be needed for a decade or longer," the government's advisers SAGE say.
When does it start being a threat?
" "threat to the NHS for at least the next five years"
Perchance, does that coincide with their Budget or Funding cycle?
Yes, they only need 10 years of jabs to flatten the curve. The global elite intend for this to be part of their new paradigm.
I fucking LMAO when Team D was playing that up, JesseAZ. Let me tell you, people are pissed is what they are. I do a lot of driving on the east coast, and people at the pump talk (they bitch about price and wish each other a safe travel).

If I can find it ill also post the article about how federal work from home is still the norm but employees are still being paid as if they work on D.C. offices (generally higher pay). This on top of extra days off for suspected covid... for working from home.... and 6 week paternal leave.
Turkey's economy is falling apart because of inflation. The problem is exacerbated 1) because Turkey's government is effectively a one party government under Erdogan's AKP, and 2) because Erdogan was finally able to install his own people in Turkey's central bank, and 3) because amid a 21% annual inflation rate, Erdogan keeps insisting that the central bank cut interest rates--because of Erdogan's Islamic beliefs that raising interest rates or even keeping them where they are is usury and a sin.
Sounds crazy, doesn't it? It's not all that crazy, objectively, compared to what Biden and the progressives are doing in the United States. The Fed is preparing to raise interest rates next quarter to combat inflation, but that's not much of a difference when Biden and the Democrats are going stupid crazy on the spending side of the equation--despite rising inflation.
The reason Biden and the progressives are doing this is 1) because the U.S. government is a one party state under the control of Biden's Democrats, 2) because Biden has nominated Jerome "Covid Stimulus" Powell to return as chair of the Federal Reserve, and 3) because despite all the inflation, not squandering trillions more on Green New Deal and entitlement expansion violates the progressives' religious beliefs. Everyone should be able to see the parallels--if they want to see them.
The Fed is preparing to raise interest rates next quarter to combat inflation,
Bullshit. No one at the Fed said this.
They did say they would taper faster. Which, for you Ken, means they will cut back the amount of monthly bond purchases.
I seriously doubt interest rates will ever go back up. Because if they do then the federal budget is totally fucked. No, they're going to keep rates low to benefit borrowers and punish savers. It's the American way!
Rates will have to go back up. It's math.
No, the fluctuation of rates is determined by market forces, government actions, other factors. It's not math, it's economics and politics.
Chairman Jerome Powell said Tuesday that the Federal Reserve will consider acting more quickly to dial back its ultra-low-interest rate policies to counter higher inflation, which Powell acknowledged will likely persist well into next year.
https://www.postandcourier.com/ap/powell-says-fed-may-accelerate-pullback-in-economic-support/article_80243a54-520f-11ec-97a8-7bd0673c68be.html
The Fed has begun reducing its monthly bond purchases, which are intended to lower longer-term borrowing costs, at a pace that would end those purchases in June. But Powell made clear that Fed officials will discuss paring those purchases more quickly when it next meets in mid-December.
What I said.
Nowhere did Powell say he would raise the Fed funds rate (key interest rate benchmark) "next quarter" as Ken claimed.
What do you think the next quarter is dummy? And why does it matter if it is q2 or q3? (Financial calendar)
So r government puts policies into effect that end up putting millions out of work. Then they pat themselves on the back for a miniscule of those jobs coming back. While business still can't find enough folks to work because of government policies paying them NOT to work. How freaking gross can all this get?
The Phucko Knows
Yeah, for those who are unaware, Powell gave notice that the Fed is dialing back its purchases of treasuries, which means that the Fed is starting to take its finger off of the scale on the market side of the equation. The reason he wants to do that is because they don't want the market rate and the federal funds rate to diverge in different directions. In other words, the Fed is getting ready to raise interest rates to fight inflation.
The point being, that while the Fed is twisting itself in knots to raise interest rates--because of all the government spending--Biden and the progressives are fighting like mad to spend trillions more on Green New Deal efforts (to price fossil fuels out of the energy market) and on expanding socialist entitlement programs--and create whole new ones. As profoundly stupid as what Erdogan is doing with interest rates, Biden and the progressives are even dumber.
Erdogan is putting out the fire with so much water, the economy is flooded and people are drowning.
Biden and the Democrats are intentionally spreading the fire all over the country--because of their stupid religious beliefs.
There is literally no problem in this world that cannot be explained by progressives. If only we could do something about the progressive problem. A final solution would be nice.
to repeat:
What I said.
Nowhere did Powell say he would raise the Fed funds rate (key interest rate benchmark) "next quarter" as Ken claimed.
Ken read between the lines. If you disagree with him then you voted for Biden, you're a progressive, you're a terrible person, and the world would be better off if you were dead.
Fuck off sarcasmic. I know you're trying to get into Dee's pants by shitting on Ken, but suckholing the lying pedophile in order to do it, is pathetic even for you.
Notice they have to try to focus on 2 words to dismiss Ken and declare a victory?
You’re really threatened by Ken, aren’t you?
I love the argument by pedantic response. Because a 3 month window is so much different than a 6 month window. Totally worth throwing your credibility away trying to protect the democrats awful economics.
"Yeah, for those who are unaware, Powell gave notice that the Fed is dialing back its purchases of treasuries, which means that the Fed is starting to take its finger off of the scale on the market side of the equation."
----Ken Shultz
He's broadcasting his moves beforehand, like he should. The last thing the Fed wants is intrigue. They're not buying as many bonds as they were--and they want to see if that makes a big difference in the market rate of that debt. If there's a big reaction, they might back off. If interest rates on trading debt don't spike when the Fed tapers its buying off, they may accelerate their exit from buying treasuries.
Still, we can see which direction he's going and why. They're tapering off buying those treasuries so that interest rates will increase--so they can raise the discount rate. If there's any intrigue, it won't be whether they raise the rate. It'll be the question of whether they raise it by a quarter of a percent of by a half of percent. They'll watch what happens in the market after that, and then they'll raise the rate by another quarter or half of a percent the next quarter and the next quarter, as needed.
One of the problems they're having is that the yield on traded securities generally should tell them where to set the discount rate and by how much they should change it, but they can't really get a good read on the market numbers for that because their own thumb is on the scale pushing what should be the market rate down. That's why they're tapering off on their bond buying experiment. Let's take our finger off the scale and see where the market is really.
You'd think some of these progressives trolls who've been reading comments for ten years or more would know this stuff, but we are talking about some incredibly stupid people. They don't care whether they're right. They don't care whether they're wrong. They don't care whether their facts are true or false. They don't care whether they're rational or irrational. That's why they're stupid and that's why they're trolls.

(to price fossil fuels out of the energy market)
Bullshit. I have it on good authority that the policies are secondary and the price is just the result of oil producers following the lead of conventional automakers clamoring to emulate Tesla's P/E ratios because EVs are so intrinsically popular. Any association between governments around the world mandating the destruction of conventional energy infrastructure and the real, environmental benefits and inherent popularity of EVs is spurious.
The funny think is SPB was trying to blame OPEC for a month for all the economic ails of Biden. He simply pushes the new talking points of OSF without any analysis. Reduce futures by shutting down leases or pipelines? SPB thinks no effect on current prices.
Now that Omicron has hit futures lowering current prices, he credits Biden and the democrats. Such a sad little pedo.
If you're looking for evidence that consumer demand for electric vehicles is insufficient to push auto makers to manufacture them, it might make you wonder 1) why you want to see the Green New Deal pass, and 2) why you're ignoring the explosive sales growth of Teslas for two years after their tax credits expired in January of 2020.
We're not talking about something that might happen in the future. We're talking about something that has already happened. Tesla designed cars that are in such high demand from consumers, that people are buying them before they're even manufactured--sans tax credits. And all the worlds' auto manufacturers are following them to mimic their success.
This issue is an ex-parrot.
EVs are completely put of the question for a significant part of the populations. Those that live in apartments, those that rent and move often (they aren't building multiple charging stations), those that have non climate controlled garages in hot or cold climates.
Democrats one size fits all solutions are as fucking stupid as pure Creationism or Intelligent Design theorists.
Oh, we're by no means there yet, but what mad casual and I are talking about is market demand. We're not talking about mandating electric cars. We're talking about tax credits not being necessary to stimulate demands--because Tesla has been selling every car they make months before they make it for the last two years, and the tax credit for their cars expired in January of 2020. My argument is that in addition to being stupid and wrong, extending tax credits for electric cars is also completely unnecessary in order to drive adoption. Market demand is more than sufficient without it.
P.S. I would also argue that if the market demand weren't there, it still wouldn't be smart, right, or necessary to stimulate it with subsidies and tax credits. If consumers don't like the solution they're getting at the prices car companies can offer them, then the car companies shouldn't be making electric vehicles.

This is getting to be Tony-level selective ignorance about immediately previous statements about efforts to price gas out of the market.
"This is getting to be Tony-level selective ignorance about immediately previous statements about efforts to price gas out of the market."
And this seems to be willful obtuseness about the fact that Biden and the Democrats are perfectly capable of trying to force people to do something more than enough of them would want to do--even if Biden and the Democrats weren't forcing them to do it.
If Biden and the Democrats made it a crime not to leave a burning building, plenty of the people leaving burning buildings next year wouldn't be doing it just because it's the law. It isn't necessary to make a law to force people to exit a burning building. If Joe Biden and the progressives said it was necessary to make it illegal not to exit a burning building, that wouldn't make it so. It would just mean that Joe Biden and the progressives are elitist idiots.
Biden and the progressives are fighting like mad to spend trillions more on Green New Deal efforts (to price fossil fuels out of the energy market) and on expanding socialist entitlement programs--and create whole new ones.
...
even if Biden and the Democrats weren't forcing them to do it
So, which is it Ken are Biden and progressives manipulating markets or not? Go on. Tell me how they're currently manipulating energy markets worldwide *and* manipulating EV markets domestically *and have* manipulated Tesla's price in the past but now, all of the sudden, magically in Jan. of 2020, Tesla's price becomes pristine, market's honest truth.
If Biden and the Democrats made it a crime not to leave a burning building, plenty of the people leaving burning buildings next year wouldn't be doing it just because it's the law.
Again, Ken, you misunderstand my assertion or misrepresent your own to your own detriment. If Biden and progressives offer incentives for people to leave a building and, upon ending *some* of the incentives to leave the building begin to demolish the rest of the building, would you honestly describe the people leaving without receiving the subsidy as just taking an informed and really popular action? Burning down the building too visceral or out of line with the intent of your metaphor? How about if Biden and progressives, per your own assertions that you assert we should be paying primary attention to, stopped the construction of new utilities to the building and enacted policies raising the price of existing utilities? Still just well informed consumers making a wholly voluntary decision? Keep in mind, he didn't repeal *all* of the subsidies to leave and actually increased the subsidies for people going to other specific destinations... but he did decrease one specific subsidy so, according to your assertions, that one group of consumers, despite all the utility restrictions, is making a wholly free market decision that just happens to be the same popular decision that everyone else fleeing the building is making.
"So, which is it Ken are Biden and progressives manipulating markets or not?
Is it unpossible for the Biden administration and progressives to do things unnecessarily in your world?!
This is getting stupid.
Because Biden is fighting to manipulate the market with the Green New Deal legislation doesn't mean it's necessary--and why would it?!
You've gone off the deep end.
It's okay to admit that some people buy electric cars because they want them--rather than because the BBB budget reconciliation bill passed.
P.S. The BBB budget reconciliation bill hasn't passed yet. Do you not know this?!
"If Biden and progressives offer incentives for people to leave a building and, upon ending *some* of the incentives"
Are you really not smart enough to understand that people don't need the government to tell them to exit a burning building?
Are you smart enough to understand that some people get vaccinated--even without Biden initiated vaccine mandates?
This really isn't complicated. You're just being willfully stupid.
Tesla has sold 516,204 Teslas in the U.S.--since January 1, 2020. That is after the tax rebate expired and before the BBB budget reconciliation bill passed. Go look it up and deal with reality. People are buying Teslas just as fast as Tesla can make them--and its been that way since forever. The rebates were never necessary.
Never.
P.S. Some people would quit smoking every year regardless of whether Joe Biden and the progressives wanted them to do so, and that is not difficult for anyone but you to understand.
Are you really not smart enough to understand that people don't need the government to tell them to exit a burning building?
Are you really going to ignore the part where I said Biden then demolished the building? Pretend that's not the least bit motivating?
I mean you're acting like rreally. "What do you mean by 'chilling effect'?", "How could the government manipulating supply chains have foreseeable and foreseen indirect consequences?"
Are you smart enough to understand that some people get vaccinated--even without Biden initiated vaccine mandates?
...

Right. If, tomorrow, The Administration(s of Canada, Germany, Austria, France, UK, Australia, said '
No vaccine mandates andWe'll no longer subsidize the J&J vaccine. We'll continue to follow The Science and close businesses and implement monitoring as necessary.' Your stance would be "See now the J&J vaccine is just really popular!"?Quit pretending *we're* this stupid or shove off with the "They're just really popular." bullshit. You've become a ad-man for the Great Reset.
I too once thought having an electric car would be a pain in the ass, but after buying a Tesla , I can tell you it’s the best car ever. Well worth the minor inconvenience of charging.
Not everyone can charge. Battery life is shit in desert and cold climates without a garage.
It doesn't need to be the best solution for everyone.
Don't internalize the progressives' messaging. They want you to think if you don't do what you're told, they'll use the government to force you. The progressives are lying about a lot of things, and they're lying about that, too.
90% of people in urban areas have smartphones today--and they would have had them without a mandate. Not every implementation was good for every person. They all got one that satisfied their own needs in their own way. It is NOT necessary for everyone to get an electric car--or to be forced to use an electric car. But you may see a major transformation in the consumer market IF IF IF companies like Tesla and Rivian make cars that people want--without government mandates.
Whether climate change is a problem isn't really an issue if no one is forced to do anything because of it--and consumers buy things that help alleviate the problem (in a thousand different ways) for their own reason--because they want to buy them.
For instance, I know people in California who bought a Tesla, among other reasons, because the homeless situation is out of control. The homeless congregate around gas stations, and they hassle you for cash the whole time you're pumping gas. They don't like dealing with that themselves, and they don't like their wives and daughters having to gas up at the local gas station either. And that has nothing to do with climate change. It's just a benefit to some people in some areas (like all of Los Angeles).
In addition to normal around-town driving, for which I can see an EV being a fine thing, I drive my car about 900 miles a few time a year (and I stay at the remote location for several weeks each trip, so a rental is not cost-effective).
I can make the trip in just about 15 hours in my car and thus can make the trip driving straight through (2 fuel+bathroom stops).
How long will it take in a Tesla?
I've never thought PITA to be the primary factor. I've driven trucks where you had too keep your feet in the right place because the floorboards were rusted out. Six speed manual transmissions with a two-speed rear axle. All day for weeks on end matching throttle/rpms and speed so that the load on the PTO doesn't stall the engine. Across two states swapping lead acid batteries out because the alternator was busted. Spend time around people with great stories about motorcycles that broke down in the middle of nowhere and who love riding all the same.
I'm also vaccinated against measles, mumps, rabies, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis, polio, and rubella. Drawn my own blood to run a blood chemistry panel on multiple occasions. It's not that difficult either.
I won't get a COVID vaccine or a Tesla (and likely a Rivian either) for pretty much the same reasons. If I stole $100M in computers or smartphones, or knowingly had someone else steal them, to start a computer or phone manufacturing business, I would completely expect people who's primary proclivity is against theft to refuse to buy and even oppose my product. And I certainly wouldn't be lying to them directly, pretending like my computers (or cars or vaccines) are just really popular. I won't be acting like the taking of earned wealth and giving of free shit is OK, as long as popularity at some point down the road justifies it. Doesn't matter if it's vaccines, healthcare, cars, roads... Fuck. Off. Slavers.
EVs are completely put of the question for a significant part of the populations.
They are completely out of the question for a significant part of our *current* population. The *future* population, where rare-earth metals are more rare, gas prices worldwide are on Europe's current levels, more of the grid is powered by wind, solar, and batteries, and the population is older than it is now... totally sustainable.
And by 'totally sustainable', I mean theoretical maximums, not projected reserves, of several minerals required to produce EVs can't meet current *American* *vehicle* requirements. Let alone worldwide, EV electronics, grid electronics, tool and appliance electronics needs.
...and TRILLIONS of KWH of electricity over already crashing power grids...
EVs are treason for practical purposes. Thanks to Biden.
where rare-earth metals are more rare
"rare-earth metals" is a misnomer. We could extract them from mine tailings in the USA too, we just don't because the Chinese do it so cheaply.
-jcr
My undergraduate and masters are both in Chemistry (Biochemistry). I know the 'misnomer'. Fair to point out that the limitations aren't limited to just rare-earth minerals. It's just that the rare-earth minerals, due to their inherent chemical nature, are the ones most egregiously unsustainable by even exceedingly poor standards.
So which is it Ken? Is the Biden Administration on a warpath to eliminate fossil fuels and conventional ICE manufacturers are fleeing before him or is Tesla just really popular? Is the market really smart or is the only truly libertarian way forward to change the hearts and minds of the American public and open their eyes to the lies that have been laid before them?
Go on Ken, tell me that EVs are so popular that Biden's attempts to price fossil fuels out of a dying market is a non-issue in the future economy. Say it again.
The 7500 rebates for EV do have an effect on the market.
The rebates for Tesla expired in January of 2020, and they're still selling every vehicle they make before its manufactured.
I want a Rivian truck under two conditions.
1) I want to see how the four motors (one at each wheel) hold up off road--how well they handle getting soaked and how well they handle being subject to dust and dirt.
2) I want it to have an easily exchangeable battery pack, so I can double its maximum range from 300 miles to 600 miles.
The torque those things have--right down there at each wheel independently--should beat the pants off of any midsize truck with a combustion engine today. You can find more torque in a F250 or an F350, but you're not taking those down the narrow forest service roads of Colorado, Utah, or in the Sierras of California.
I don't need the government to make me want to buy a truck like that with taxpayer financed incentives. They're offering a better product than Toyota or Ford--for my purposes--if they make those two improvements.
I don't care in the slightest about your preference for the Rivian. As we've discussed, I'm not even in strict disagreement with you on the issue.
I'm interested in your thoughts about Tesla's and EV's price and market popularity being influenced by worldwide green energy policy. The funny thing is, you're a pretty smart guy and it's really not that difficult to say something to the effect of "At least a part of Tesla and EVs popularity is being driven by the Administrations' (all of them) efforts to sell us on green energy, but it's difficult to say how much." but you can't even do that. You insist in this Tony-level "There is no man behind the curtain unless I say there's a man behind the curtain." infantalization.
It's OK, Ken. A good portion of us are adults and understand how energy production, supply chains, market manipulations, herd mentality, and foreseeable consequences work. It's fine if you want to continue to insist that the tracks in the driveway on Xmas morning are from Santa's electric reindeer, but don't insist we have to support you in your delusion and understand that we'll be reluctant when you say we need to expose others to the lie that is Santa Claus.
I'll cop to arguing that Biden and the progressives pricing fossil fuels out of the market may be bad for the market penetration of electric vehicles to people with lower incomes. In no thread have I ever suggested that the government putting their finger on the scale can't possibly make things better for electric vehicles than they would be otherwise.
I have argued that doing so was unnecessary. There is more than sufficient demand to drive sales for Tesla, and we know that because Teslas continue to sell like hotcakes two years after the tax rebates expired.
This has already happened. The parrot is dead.
It is an EX-PARROT!
That's not what I think might happen. That's what's happening. Sales for every auto make fell dramatically during the pandemic except one. Can you guess which one? I'll give you a hint: their eligibility for tax rebates expired on January 1, 2020.
I don't know what the future holds, but whatever the demand for electric cars should be, it'll be that without any help from Biden and the progressives. They can claim that putting their stupid thumb on the scale will make people buy more electric cars than they would otherwise, but they can't claim that Teslas need tax rebates to stimulate demand--because Tesla has enjoyed more than sufficient demand for almost two years without any tax rebates.
"I don't care in the slightest about your preference for the Rivian."
The point is that I don't need tax incentives to prefer an electric car, and I'm not the only one.
Maybe someday you'll join us.
And the world will live as one.
That's not what I think might happen. That's what's happening. Sales for every auto make fell dramatically during the pandemic except one. Can you guess which one? I'll give you a hint: their eligibility for tax rebates expired on January 1, 2020.
Oh, huh. When the government locks you in your home, suddenly the range you get on your vehicle doesn't matter as much as it did when we were all more free? Huh. When chip supplies dry up your 17M unit production schedule takes a bigger hit than someone else's 500K unit production schedule? Huh. But Biden gave you a break you your preferred automaker so, nothing to see here except that Tesla's are really popular. Ignore the statists shutting down the economy. Well, don't completely ignore them. I still want you to pay attention to them and make everyone aware of how prevalent and insidious their actions are. Then, when we're not talking about Tesla's sales numbers, it's important to pay attention to the statists fucking with *everything*. Everything except Tesla's numbers. Unless we're talking about Greenies providing subsidies to other EVs, then we're talking about them fucking with *everything*. Everything except Tesla's numbers... after Jan. 2020. Then Tesla's numbers are totally just market signals.
wheel motors cannot survive. Theres no way to suspend and isolate them from road impact
"The R1T boasts up to 800 horsepower and a claimed zero-to-60-mph time of 3.0 seconds. Adjustable air suspension will be standard at launch and can adjust the clearance height from eight to 14 inches. Every version of the R1T has all-wheel drive, with an electric motor at each wheel. This allows the R1T to do what Rivian calls a Tank Turn, which sets the electric motors to rotate the left wheels in the opposite direction of the right ones to spin the truck on its axis."
----Car and Driver
https://www.caranddriver.com/rivian/r1t
Who's to say it can't survive?
I've been talking about the prototype here in comments for a couple of years now--and they've been letting everyone with a few thousand subscribers on YouTube test one for all that time. Seems to be working just fine. We'll see what happens when someone takes it out and beats it up off road. Like I said, my questions are about dust and water--not shock.
Here they are off-roading with the prototype a year and a half ago:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmdsKHTRViA
Here's a guy putting through its paces off road just a few days ago.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeACRO3hoek
If the motors don't last off road, we'll find out soon enough. Incidentally, stuff breaks off of Jeeps off road all the time. If there's a problem, though, it'll come from water with stream crossings and dust. I have no reason to think it will have problems, but if it does, that'll probably be the cause. Electric motors don't like dust and water.
wheel motors cannot survive. Theres no way to suspend and isolate them from road impact
My concern is even broader. Your car or motorcycle breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Would you rather be beholden to the manufacturer for replacement parts *and* charge/fuel (and the underlying ethos of environmentalism) or not? Ford (let alone the ICE) was built across several licensing ecosystems. They're trying to claw their way back to exclusive ownership of their vehicles just like John Deere and every other ICE manufacturer. Tesla was built in and is the leading pioneer in the very licensing ecosystem Ford is playing catch up in. Worse than just being subject to an ecosystem that they're pioneering, their fundamental precepts require them to advance the ecosystem. Ford didn't have to build gas stations. Tesla not only has to build and subsidize supercharger stations out of (not just) necessity or popularity, but because in order to control the 'pump to wheels' consumption of energy. Implicit in Tesla's industry is the abdication of energy production and consumption to public green control.
My concern is even broader. Your car or motorcycle breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Would you rather be beholden to the manufacturer for replacement parts *and* charge/fuel (and the underlying ethos of environmentalism) or not?
Heh, as if on queue:
"We at Tesla will not sell you batteries or a new motor. Buy a new car instead. Bye."
"Welcome to Chevrolet do you need a motor? A new transmission? But of course. LOL Why wouldn't we sell you those?"
Note: Ken makes an appearance at 8:05 in the video shouting "We're getting picked up in a Tesla!"
"So which is it Ken? Is the Biden Administration on a warpath to eliminate fossil fuels and conventional ICE manufacturers are fleeing before him or is Tesla just really popular?"
These "alternatives" are not mutually exclusive. Both can be and are true. Remember what I said last time about the LAPD trying to frame O.J. Simpson? Just because the LAPD tried to frame a guilty man--does NOT mean that O.J. didn't murder his ex-wife and her boyfriend. That's what we're looking at here. Joe Biden and the progressives are trying to frame a clearly guilty man--and it is not necessary for them to do so. Both of the following things are true.
1) Market demand has been more than sufficient for Tesla to sell all of the cars it manufactures before they're built for almost two years after the tax credits expired.
2) Joe Biden and the progressives are trying to price the use of fossil fuels out of the market through taxation, subsidies, and other gimmicks.
This isn't the only area they're doing this in--and it isn't the only time they're doing it to one of Elon Musk's companies. SpaceX is in the process of blanketing the northern hemisphere with a constellation of low earth orbit satellites that operate at speeds that are acceptable for gaming purposes--at no cost the taxpayer whatsoever. The immediate and primary beneficiaries of this system are people in rural America, who can't get broadband otherwise. SpaceX isn't even the only company doing it! Project Kuiper is finally going up--that's Bezos' project to launch more than 3,000 satellites into low earth orbit at no expense to the taxpayer.
With more than one company competing to offer rural broadband to all of North America, is it necessary for Biden and the Democrats to spend $65 billion in taxpayer money to wire rural America for broadband by cable and telco companies? Absolutely not. But that's how much they're spending on rural broadband in the infrastructure bill. In fact, what they're doing is hurting SpaceX's and Amazon's efforts by giving local cable and telcos a $65 billion boost. Those would all be SpaceX and Amazon customers if it weren't for the taxpayers.
Point being, it's just like Biden's and the progressives' efforts to jam electric cars down our throats. Just because something is extremely expensive, almost entirely unnecessary, and stupid--doesn't mean the progressives won't spend $4.5 trillion dollars on it. They will. They're fighting to do it right now.
I should also say that the BBB budget reconciliation bill isn't just about driving the cost of fossil fuels off the market for cars. They're also doing it for energy production. They want to fine utilities that don't increase their fossil free electricity production by 4% a year (last I saw), and they want to give a whole bunch of money to those utilities that do increase their fossil free fuel production by 4% every year. Over time, the cost of using electricity from a utility that generates it from natural gas will become economically unfeasible. Their goal is to push natural gas off the market by artificially inflating its price.
"Because the LAPD didn't cause OJ to murder Nicole Brown your assertion that Biden's energy policies are adversely affecting ICE production are a non-sequitur."
Go on, Ken. Keep going.
I think you're missing the analogy.
The LAPD framing O.J. doesn't mean O.J didn't murder Nicole Brown.
Because Biden and the progressives are trying to force us to go electric doesn't mean that it's necessary for them to do so.
The prosecution could have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that O.J. Simpson murder Nicole--even if the LAPD hadn't framed him.
And consumers could be and are making the switch to electric cars, driving their costs down in all sorts of ways with scale, without Biden and the progressives forcing them to do so.
That's the analogy.
I might even take it further and argue that by trying to force consumers to do things like buy electric cars against their will, Biden and the Democrats are making people less likely to want an electric car. Part of it is that by driving up the costs of electricity, they'll make it harder for more people with lower incomes to be able to afford transportation, but part of it is just human nature. If you went down the local sports bar this Sunday and forced all the guys there to eat buffalo wings and drink beer, they'd hate it. It's just human nature.
I think you're missing the analogy.
Right. Because it's, as common practice by a number of leftists around here, a bad or forced analogy.
The LAPD framing O.J. doesn't mean O.J didn't murder Nicole Brown.
Because Biden and the progressives are trying to force us to go electric doesn't mean that it's necessary for them to do so.
Notice how, in one side of your "analogy" nobody is forced or manipulated to do anything and, on the other, you're saying that force isn't necessary? Almost like the two aren't correlated in any real way? That's because they're not. The LAPD showed up after OJ murdered Nicole, Obama/Biden enacted subsidies before Tesla started production. The LAPD didn't threaten to raise taxes on jurors who refused to convict black men. Obama/Biden, per your own shouted greivances, are raising taxes and costs to the people weighing in on EVs. The LAPD didn't or FBI didn't render the head of the NAACP a fugitive from justice for providing false statements the way Winterkorn has been by the green lobby. Johnny Cochran wasn't saying "We really need to convict black murderers, just not this black man who totally didn't murder anyone." and, well, you're not Johnny Cochran.
Ken, I have the suspicion that you're mislead by demand for Teslas into thinking there's a much greater demand for EVs generally than there is.
What % of EVs sold in each of the last 5 years have been Tesla? That is, what is Tesla's EV market share, and how does it compare to EV's new auto sales market share?
Tesla's are not generic cars that happen to be EVs. They're luxury autos that have perhaps the strongest brand-status in the market, and they have very high end tech independent of being EVs. They're quality vehicles, but also something of a fad - and they're affordable for only a rather small proportion of the population.
Their quality has been problematic.
Let's see... We went from the number one producer of oil and 2nd biggest seller. To now having to import r oil once again. While we send barrels upon barrels to China. But sure clown.... If only there was a solution to the progressive problem.
I’m thinking camps.
They can model them after the camps progressives are constructing for the unvaccinated. I’m assured that such camps are being constructed even as we speak.

Everything was fine in Germany for years, then all of a sudden- mass executions!
Who could've seen it coming?
There totes weren't any steps in between The Party taking power in 1934 and then embarking upon genocide almost a decade later...
Totes no identifying a segment of the population as targets to be hated, appeals to public health, stoking of resentment, propaganda utilizing scientism, laws that singled out particular people for punishment, ostracization, confiscation, mass internment, cultish virtue signaling...
Nope, just everyone being normal than totes straight to mass execution! Nothing at all happened in the decade leading up to it!
Oh, and definitely don't listen to any holocaust survivors, or any refugees from totalitarian leftist countries, who say they're disturbed by the parallels they're seeing.
Those people are just conspiracy theorists. Probably antisemites and racist homophobes too!
Here Uyghur again.

It was just a few weeks ago that Ken was pushing that American progressives are just like Chinese communists.
He glossed over little differences like the vast difference in their positions on homosexuality and racism.
The Ken strategy is to try to make any analogy possible, no matter how strained, between The Left and whatever convenient villains he can find. If he can compare Progressives to Chinese Communists, he'll do that. If he can compare Progressives to Muslim theocrats, he'll do that. I expect soon we'll have an argument about how Progressives are really like Thanos who wants to destroy the universe.
You two done with strawman arguments? Or did you not finish each other off yet?
They suck each other’s dicks and fuck each other’s assholes. And in an order that might surprise you.
Wait, Dianne Feinstein had a Chinese spy on her payroll, a fact her office has confirmed and this isn't front page, above-the-fold news... everywhere?
That's nothing compared to Hunter Biden being on China's payroll.
"But Hunter flew home the day before the lunch. He already had met with Ye, over a private dinner on Tuesday night, at which the CEFC chairman made him an offer too good to refuse: $10 million a year, for a minimum of three years, for “introductions alone,” as Hunter would later assert in an imperious email to CEFC executives.
Ye sealed the new alliance with a rich gift — a 3.16-carat diamond worth $80,000. Photographs of the stunning stone appear on Hunter’s laptop along with a grading report that lists it as a “round brilliant” of Grade F with prime “VS2” clarity and “excellent” cut.
https://nypost.com/2021/11/28/chinese-titan-lavished-hunter-biden-with-3-carat-gem-offer-of-30-million/

Yeah, but that's hacked material, like the Pentagon Papers, so, doesn't count.
I'm talking about a fact... that Dianne Feinstein has personally confirmed.
To the best of my knowledge, the Biden's haven't denied any of the facts in those emails.
And, now, you can read the screen images of the email yourself!
How cool is that? Those photos just came out a few days ago.
Didn't she have a spy as a driver for a decade?
That's the one I'm talking about. He doubled as a driver, but was also an office staffer. Confirmed by Feinstein. She fired him when she was alerted by the FBI. Mistakes were made.
like Hillaries " mistakes?"
AKA " no criminal intent" to give out classified docs on the street corner...
Them kind?
Hunter Biden has been doing shit like this for more than a decade!
"A son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden was paid an undisclosed amount of money as a consultant by MBNA, the largest employer in Delaware, during the years the senator supported legislation that was promoted by the credit card industry and opposed by consumer groups . . . . MBNA's consulting payments to Hunter Biden, first reported by The New York Times, followed his departure in 2001 from the company, where he had been an executive . . . .
MBNA employees have poured more than $200,000 into Biden's Senate campaigns over the past two decades, making donors working for the credit card company the senator's largest source of campaign money.

I appreciate the tit for tat, back and forth, who's the most disgusting progressives of all, pirates vs. ninjas debate, but I'm still pushing for Biden is the worse of the two--at the moment.
If you really want to see Feinstein at her worst, you really need to go back to all of her associations with Jim Jones and People's Temple. Willie Brown, Milk, Jerry Brown, Feinstein, they were all in up to their necks with Jim Jones. The progressives put him in charge of the housing portion of City of San Francisco's welfare department--in exchange for getting them and their friends elected. Talk about drinking the Kool-Aid!
Jim Jones used his position to expand his church in the African-American community--before taking them all to Guyana and killing them. Progressives truly are America's most horrible people.
Hunter recieved millions in unreported gifts, never registering as a foreign agent from what I can tell. He still has 10% equity in a Chinese fund created solely for his investment group after Joe flew him over on airforce 2.
The whole Biden family belongs in prison .
Joe Biden Puts a Happy Gloss on Disappointing Jobs Report
That's a Happy Gloss on the word "lying".
Oil is down $20/bbl (for December delivery) in the last month.
So when retail gasoline falls to $2.50 what will be the headline on wingnut.com?

The WBNWI (Warren Buffett Net Worth Index) is currently at plus $14 billion by the way.
Well, goddamnit, you have to look hard past the 4.2% UE number, the 6% GDP clip, the pickup in new business formation, and the hot ISM number, the six million new jobs since January - to find that only 210,000 new jobs were created in November.
That is some excellent sluthiness, Christian B.!
oh, forgot the hashtag for the wingnut.com article
#BidenEconomyinShambles
No comments on the jobs report huh?
It is odd for sure.
ADP, which counts actual new payroll employees on their payroll system, said on Wednesday 526,000 new jobs were added in November.
The government said 210,000.
Who do you believe?
Facts are determined by politics. You pointing out a larger number means you voted for Biden. The real number is the one that makes Biden look bad. If you disagree then you're a progressive, and progressives are the root of all evil in society.
Sure sarcasmic is super mad about progressives being blamed for shit, but he swears he isn't one. Just ask him.
Your problem is that you perceive things that are not there.
Example - if someone posts a neutral fact that doesn't support the GOP narrative you falsely call them a progressive.
If you deviate from the GOP narrative then you're a progressive. Politics are binary. You're on their team or you're the enemy. Period.
Except all his arguments attack the right. Such as saying every racist is a conservative despute much documentation.

Off-thread --- but why isn't the national news media running wall to wall about that school shooting? I was ready for a wave of articles and talk show moments and jimmy kimmel sermons on gun control, how we hate kids, blah blah blah....
and.... nothing?
what's different about this one that they don't want to highlight?
What are they talking about? It could be more that they want to focus attention on something else rather than trying to focus it away from the shooting.
the media whipped all the left into a frenzy because a high school kid smiled awkwardly at a native american activist beating a drum in his face. They whipped the left into a frenzy over a garage door hook. And they tried to convict an innocent person to life for defending himself, and slandered him as a white supremacist terrorist with zero evidence to back that up.
All because it fit their political narrative.

OK, between the darkness of the joke, his general obliviousness, general stupidity, and the political equivocation in the statement, I've gotta give him that one.
In a population of 350 million the rare can seem common if you parse it based on days.
He didn't say common. He said normalized.
So, previously, I've made the comment "Neither Sicknick nor Babbitt deserved to die because of their actions in January." Maybe it would surprise you to learn the number of people that will compromise their own principles of non-violence and law and order to contravene such a statement, maybe it wouldn't. Either way, trying to say either one or both deserved it announces your willingness to compromise your principles in order to kill someone for no justifiable reason.
Except it isnt normalized either. And to normalize something it has to be common.
Did you get invited to a sarc BBQ today or something? You've gone off the tails and decided to join the outed leftists today.
Your non sequitur is hilarious by the way.
What do you think normalize means? Because you don't seem to understand the assertion.
I mean, in order to come to the conclusion you arrived at, you have to assume he was saying that the parade massacre was a typical car wreck, which he didn't and, even if he did, he's saying we should be treating typical car wrecks with more grievously.
Believe me, I'd love nothing more than to call his bullshit but, on this one, he's pretty clearly mocking the disparate treatment of Waukesha and school shootings whether he realizes it or not.
you have to assume he was saying that the parade massacre was a typical car wreck, which he didn't
That's right, I didn't. The only way one could possibly read that into my statement is if one were a troll deliberately trying to find the most bad-faith interpretation possible of what I said. In other words, a typical day for ML.
he's pretty clearly mocking the disparate treatment of Waukesha and school shootings whether he realizes it or not.
Umm, no I'm not. I said nothing at all about Waukesha.
No. Your statement made an idiotic assertion that common is based on days in the year instead of population size. School shootings are still rare. So are deaths by long rifles yet people talk about each one constantly. You've just fallen for a narrative meant to sway the ignorant.
He’s not the sharpest spork in the drawer.
Because he IS ignorant.
Umm, no I'm not. I said nothing at all about Waukesha.
Just stop. You're ruining the joke.
I don't think what happened in Waukesha is a 'typical car wreck'. Why would you think I would?
Oh wait, because you like putting words in people's mouths.
You could always go away forever.
Why would you think I would?
Because you're an evil, decietful piece-of-shit who's paid to shill for the Democrats.
So normalized since Parkland? No.
My question is what makes this school shooting something that isn't useful to the leftists in media.
My question is what makes this school shooting something that isn't useful to the leftists in media.
The normalization.
Seriously, I hate to defend chemjeff, but I much prefer the (so far) lack of David Hoggs.
You are doing a fine job defending jeff. As well as randomly attacking Ken. Someone has a weekend bnb on their future.
To make normal, especially to cause to conform to a standard or norm:
School shootings are not the norm. They are the exceedingly rare based on number of kids and schools in the country. Do you actually not understand what normalization is?
Because the school was practicing Restorative Justice with the kid.
https://www.dailywire.com/news/oxford-high-school-appears-to-have-used-controversial-restorative-discipline-practices-prior-to-school-shooting
they wont when its Leftists that did it and it was deliberate.
Its a F.F. to push a gun seizure narrative.
The same Non Tempest in a Teapot brewed with the Lefties that " defended their home with an AR 15."
Recall how they caved so fast....
Video from Australia's happy go fun time quarantine camps.
https://mobile.twitter.com/OzraeliAvi/status/1466715838967205892
Just evil.
Reminder that the internee being held by camp guards in the video never had Covid and tested negative during her entire two week internment.
They're holding people prisoner who don't have Covid and continually tested negative because they fucking can.
That isn't quarantine no matter how sarcasmic and his internet girlfriend try to pretend that it is.
Bevis said sarc never hand waived away these "quarantine camps "
So, it's gotten to the point that I'm not freaked out by the gowns, or masks, fines, or arbitrary borders, and the open statement that the rules make no sense but have to be enforced anyway, but the collective hands folded posture really freaks me the fuck out.
Remember how much the left harped about Trump's "crowd" size lie? I mean, seriously, they would not let that go even though he was obviously exaggerating.
How dumb do you have to be to fall for the greatest-Y-Axis of all time. a 1 cent drop after a 50% spike in a year. Success!
And how dishonest are you as a person to actually tout that. You arn't dumb, you're lying.
What are you even talking about? There was not even a graph in the article.
Wow.
Don't be so eager to troll. Wait for your opportunities.
WTF? Seriously?
Let's see. Re-read article, still no graph.
Are you ignorant to the DCCC oil prices graph? His argument is understood if you even read the fucking morning roundup.
Hint jeff. The vast majority of the people here are smarter than you.
Yes Jeffy, wait for the pictures. Holy hell...
Ditto. If your going into politics, be a dem. You can get away with anything.
And in another episode of Great Moments in Biden History, Joe claims to have met with Golda Meir during the 6-day war, despite the fact that she was not Prime Minister at the time, and he was still in law school.
Remember how the media (including some Reasonistas) used to write breathless columns about how Trump was a crazy liar because they'd take an analogy literally.
Yet here's an obvious dementia patient straight up lying about shit that couldn't possibly be true, and yet not a peep.
But something, something, QAnon, herp-derp, insurrection...
Our nation's darkest day...
Was there an eclipse?
Alternate headline- "Reason conveniently ignores 4.2% unemployment rate."
Alternate headline - raspberrydinners ignores 61.6% labor participation rate.
He ignored that as hard as he possibly could.
Thank you... Painful levels of shilling.
And the labor participation?
Neo Nazi rally stirs mixed responses in small Georgia town
DAHLONEGA, Ga. (CBS46) -- A small Georgia town is preparing for a rally with ties to white nationalism.
A Pro-Trump rally planned for next week in Dahlonega is being promoted on white supremacist websites and social media accounts.
The rally is putting law enforcement on the offense. They are bringing in local, state and federal agencies to make sure peace is kept in the Dahlonega square on September 14th.
Below is the flier that organizer Chester Doles sent out:
https://www.cbs46.com/news/neo-nazi-rally-stirs-mixed-responses-in-small-georgia-town/article_500f4794-d103-11e9-bf44-fb48b329f083.html
OMG! This sounds almost as terrifying as the 9 / 18 SECOND INSURRECTION BY RIGHTWING EXTREMISTS you warned us about 5 days in advance.
Please keep providing these crucial intel updates Mr. Buttplug. Your warning about 9 / 18 literally saved my life by convincing me not to leave home that day.
#ButtplugHasTheBestIntel
Whoosh! No surprise.
It is yet another example of how actual NAZI's love Trump and the Republican Party.
I think you miss the irony in that woosh....
No, OBL thought I was warning about another right-wing meetup.
fact is I like to point out how Nazi Party members love the GOP and Trump.
Even the reverse logic to account for his parody doesn't work.

turd the fucking lefty ignoramus who can't read lies; it’s all he ever does. turd is a pathological liar, entirely too stupid to remember which lies he posted even minutes ago, and also too stupid to understand we all know he’s a liar. If he uses numbers they are normally outright lies.
If anything he posts isn’t a lie, it’s totally accidental. turd lies; it’s what he does. turd is a lying pile of lefty shit.
turd should fuck off and die a slow and painful death.
"No, OBL thought I was warning about another right-wing meetup..."
OK, sometimes turd is so stupid that his posts are meta-lies.
turd, being too stupid to recognize his own lies, lacks the understanding that OBL, as a parody account, is damning him (turd) with fake praise!
One of OBL's better riffs; and a stunning example of turd's ground-level IQ.
Yes. Because as your favorite source (Wikipedia) points out, Nazis and modern conservatives are both "rightwing" meaning they tend to oppose policies designed to force equality of outcome between races. Affirmative action, reparations for slavery, etc.
That's why that Impostor Buttplug guy is so insidious. I'm sure you're familiar with his routine. He exploits a flaw in Reason.com's comment section to impersonate you, then he says stuff like "Actually I agree with conservatives on affirmative action and reparations and even 'offensive' sports team names." Like, he expects us to believe you're so incredibly stupid and lazy, you'd admit to agreeing with racists ON RACE-RELATED ISSUES.
But I know better. I can always spot the Impostor. Anyone who (correctly) calls conservatives racist would understand the necessity of adopting uniformly liberal views on race-related issues. Right Mr. Buttplug?
policies designed to force equality of outcome between races.
Nice try but opposition to this force is entirely consistent with my classic liberal views.
That imposter Buttplug is a progressive!
Lol. Classical liberals don't support bidens platform like you do.

The big name racists endorsed Biden last go around.
That stands to reason, biden is a racist.
"A Pro-Trump rally planned for next week in Dahlonega is being promoted on white supremacist websites and social media accounts."
This is scary shit.
Not the supposed "rally" but the creepy article itself.
It doesn't say who the "white supremacist websites" are or what makes them "white supremacist". It lists an organizer and calls him a white supremacist but doesn't mention why. It's all inference and innuendo with zero facts.
As with all Buttplug shit, the is just another DNC gaslighting and agitprop op.
It's Dahlonega, Ga.
60% illiterate, dude. Marjorie Taylor Greene got elected there.
turd the fucking asshole who can't read lies; it’s all he ever does. turd is a pathological liar, entirely too stupid to remember which lies he posted even minutes ago, and also too stupid to understand we all know he’s a liar. If he uses numbers they are normally outright lies.

Buttplug wore a powdered wig and silk pantaloons while writing that.
You should have seen the organizers behind the pussy hat march. The sponsors were left wing organizations, many of which had no ties to women's rights or similar topics. The media didn't report on that, and made it seem like the march was all about releasing estrogen fumes and whatnot.
bad websites are any not Soros - sponsored
OK, I'm only one cracking up about a Neo-Nazi rally being advertised with "please bring a covered dish", right?
It's almost like they're cribbing from the bee.
turd the asshole who can't read lies; it’s all he ever does. turd is a pathological liar, entirely too stupid to remember which lies he posted even minutes ago, and also too stupid to understand we all know he’s a liar. If he uses numbers they are normally outright lies.

I'm starting to believe that the biggest structural advantages that conservatives have is that they automatically get extra police protection for their rallies. One of the most amazing things to me is that politicians still haven't figured out that if you remove 'crowd control' that crowds go out of control.
People, unsurprisingly, f'n hate it when you burn down their town. So the 'mostly peaceful' riots over the summer have probably done over a decade worth of damage to the cause of criminal justice reform. And the people "delaying an official proceeding" on Jan 6 (to use the actual charge most of them are catching) discredited the entire concept of election integrity. But the reason both happened was the same: the cops weren't given the ability to keep a lid on things.
However, Jan 6 was the exception. Usually when a right wing cause wants to rally, it becomes an all hands on deck situation for the entire state's police forces (now even the FBI is joining in on the fun) and crowd control is turned up to the max. Result: the crowd doesn't go out of control, and the cause seems like it is full of reasonable people to the undecided. Reality is that every cause has sociopaths and nutcases in it, but when all of your rallies have enough officers present to make a North Korean police chief blush, the crazies don't get a chance to discredit their cause.
Meanwhile, not only do left wing causes not get proper riot control, left wing DAs drop the charges on the rioters stupid enough to get themselves arrested, and for the few that did something so stupid the DA won't drop charges, left wing politicians bail them out of jail so they can go back to rioting the very next evening. The result is that even people who couldn't care less about the cause will travel hundreds of miles and pretend to care about the cause so they can make a mess of things in a consequence free environment. This is not a formula for making your cause seem sane to the average American.
I would find the jobs reports much more informative if there were separate numbers for low-paying unskilled jobs vs skilled career type jobs. I mean it’s not the case that a job is a job; there’s a huge difference.
Perhaps, they do put out such statistics but I don’t know how to access them. Does anybody know?
When I looked at the number of jobs created, my first thought was what about the buggy whip makers? Creative destruction and all that. How many jobs ceased to exist?
Was it Obama who would tour his “jobs created _or saved_” stats?
Sounds familiar. Back then I was considered to be a racist conservative because that's the only possible explanation for being critical of his policies. Now I'm a homeless progressive or something, because I was critical of the policies of the previous administration.

We have hyperinflation now. There are no low paying jobs. People are getting signing bonuses and triple minimum wage to flip burgers.
Oh come on. Hyperinflation doesn't mean "moderate inflation while the other team is in power," it means "inflation of 50% or more over a given month."
Words mean things.
The McDonald's down the street was starting people at minimum wage a year ago.
This summer they were offering $750 signing bonuses and $15 per hour.
Staffing problems persist due to unemployment benefits, so they are up to $1500 and $20 per hour. Dude is probably operating at a loss, because although prices are up, they are not up that much.
Since when is 6% moderate?
Since a D is POTUS.
you are a liar
.
There is no inflation.
Inflation is excess REAL MONEY.
The Fed isduing DIGITAL COMPUTER CREDITS TO BANKS IS NOT MONEY.
There is inflation, case closed.
You're full of shit. "Real money" is anything people use to trade.
This is sarcasm, right?
Seems not; he's repeated this several to many times. Read a book once, I guess.
How about the labor force participation rate. Interested in that too?
61%. And 51% paid no taxes last year.
Remember when Trump would say something in hyperbolic optimist salesman language? "we have the best trade plan. The greatest. Beautiful."
Remember how simple exaggerations would set Welch into a stammering fit? "Bbbbb. He's lying!!! The fucker lies, all the time!!!".
Yeah, good times.
Dude, Trump Tweeted "I'm meeting with the joint chiefs" and ENB openly published that she completed the thought "He's starting WWIII!", even just a little more "Joe's either lying or senile." would be nice.
Joes lying AND senile.
Its not an exclusive situation.
Democrats have more than enough idiocy to go around. Give them the credit they deserve!
I no longer give them the cover of stupidity. At this point I think it is safe to say. "They know exactly what they are doing, and are getting the desired results."
Joes lying AND senile.
Its not an exclusive situation.
Beggers can't be choosers.
"...ENB openly published that she completed the thought "He's starting WWIII!..."
ENB is but one more TDS-addled asshole.

Here's hoping that whatever virus Brandon's grandson apparently gave him leads to acute pneumonia, bronchitis, and hastens his inevitable face-to-face meeting with Old Scratch.
Grim Reaper time!
Give us a Threefer..Brandon the Groper, Piglosi and Mad Max Waters.
Ill send a boquet of stems.
A fourfer. Take Fuck Schumer too.
Nah, better that he continue to fuck up daily and then retire, dimly aware of what a colossal failure he was, and fade into obscurity.
...Which is a fate that I wish on a lot of politicians, actually.
Yeah. I think a death would make him a bit of a martyr. Better to let him fuck up operating the pile driver of ineptitude until the public thinks "WTH were we thinking? There's no way we're gonna do *that* again." for at least a generation or two.
"inflationary pressures Americans are currently experiencing are definitely not his fault."
Oh; So he's a Democrat Politician!!! Nothing is ever their fault. If the whole economy collapsed under consistent Nazi-Lockdowns I'm sure it wasn't because of the Nazi's it would be because of Green-Energy Unicorns and Color-Inequality of Rainbows.
So the economy is booming and unemployment is so low that wages are rising at the highest rate in 20 years. And these numbers will inevitably be revised upward. If you're trying to claim these are bad numbers, you're the one doing the spinning.
Lol. Wow. Can I get some of your drugs?
Why don't you explain to me exactly what is bad about the economic numbers right now.
Will you accept Ron Klains retreat trying to gaslight?
https://mobile.twitter.com/WHCOS/status/1466776747903434763
Inflation double GDP growth. Still near 2 year lows for labor participation. Record debt. Bad jobs numbers. Supply chain issues.
What number do you actually think is good? Still 5 million jobs less than 2019. Minority job rates are actually falling.
What drugs are you even on? Ignorance isn't a drug as far as I know.
Better than the massive recession we'd be in if you had your way. Those trillions of dollars you complain about were spent on goods and services, except more goods than normal because of the pandemic, hence supply chain issues and higher goods prices. Hardly bread lines though.
Rising wages help with that, see, and there are unemployment numbers you'd be perfectly fine with if the president had an (R) next to his name.
US federal government debt is not an economic problem, and just what you'd expect given all the stimulus spending. Hey, at least we're not fighting any more endless wars.
GDP growth is expected to boom in Q1 as well. I don't know what you expect, for it to be perpetually the 1990s? Maybe it would be if not for the Bush recession and the Trump recession, but Republicans just can't help but destroy economies, what with being morons.
You are the dumbest motherfucker. And it’s not like this is even your analysis. You’re an illiterate moron that regurgitates talking points from garbage websites like Media Matters. Most of your time between getting gangbanged at bathhouses is spent being a bitch and sipping appletinis.
lmao... The last "massive recession" was during who's Presidency and Full Majority in Congress??? How about the last "massive depression".
Ignorance knows no boundaries.
So you have toninvent a hypothetical event in order to prove the economy is good? Lol.
Tony in a nutshell
"I don't understand inflation"
The liberals in the Biden era have this strange and oxymoronic notion that as long you as you SPEND free money that's thrown to you, inflation would be actually averted or could be offset by a strong economy. So if the government just gave everyone a million dollars and they we rocketed demand by going on a spending spree on goods, we'd all be hunky dory.
Of course, the currency would devalue to nothingness. When a burger costs 20 dollars, it's won't matter if your min wage rose to 40 dollars per hour. But just look at the demand in the marketplace!
Your country is being ran by people who doesn't understand how currency works. If they ran a blog, who cares. If they ran a country, then its game over.
I fully encourage you to call your congressmen and encourage them to run their campaigns on taking back everyone's stimulus checks.
Government will take them back. It's called taxes, and it will be paid back at least threefold. Nothing is ever free Tony.
Just break a lot of windows, print money and go to war..full employement, aggregate demand (whatever the hell that is) is strong, subsidize unprofitable endeavors including all regulated industries like education, healthcare, banking...this works right Keynes? Please please please Fed just keep monetizing the debt, Dems keep spending trillions via deficit spending...please continue right to the end.
You subsidize things you want more of. You can have a perfectly free market, and America has one, even with a lot of government spending. Government is just another customer, ideally acting on behalf of the people.
Free people are free to use their government to make large purchases for things like healthcare and education. I just want people to be free.
GDP is a stupid measurement. In the end it is only about prices and wages. Are American's wages going up? Are prices going down?
GDP is irrelevant as is most keynsian "marcoeconomic" metrics...JC this shit should have been killed decades ago
I couldn't agree more about GDP, but there's a tradition in American journalism to focus on a set of macroeconomic numbers and label them good or bad. Of course, journalists called 200,000 jobs a good month when Trump was president.
Why is there such worship of "jobs" instead of productivity? Are we stuck with the Marxist labor theory of value outlook or something?
Plus, so many people are switching to the gig economy, it's far more convenient and less soul crushing than a typical 9-5. Far fewer Uber drivers bitched about their "gig" than employees about their "jobs". I don't even know why the press and politicians (on both sides) focus so much on "jobs", which should never be an end in itself.
bc productivity is supply side economics.
Buttfuck Biden isnt doing anything to help that.
Hes just postlitioning himself to take credit for manufactured job numbers not manufactured goods. Which we dont make, and arent being imported.
Chinas shit is on cargo ships in the Pacific being ruined by salt water exposure.
WAIT TILL THEY START DUMPING DAMAGED MERCHANDISE AT SEA.
That will be another Biden Failure!
Reason will write a both sides article focusing on Trump.
Wed expect nothing less?
At least thats a LOT closer to " fair and balanced" than Fox...( aka "CNN Lite")
oops, Im really slipping tonite...

"Why is there such worship of "jobs" instead of productivity? Are we stuck with the Marxist labor theory of value outlook or something?"
Dang, I missed the obvious.
Marxism hinges on Class warfare.
Rich v. poor in an eternal struggle best set right by Totalitarian Government intervention.
Dualism, The Morons Choice. It takes no education or thought to glom onto one side
or the other. Especially when one side is paid bybl Government to do so.
Jobs is an extension of " have, have - not"- ism.
Even Obama know enough to not underestimate Brandon's ability to screw things up.
Total eclipse in Antartica tonite.
Biden taking credit for it tomorrow....
Thats the Democrat Way.
Lets Go Brandon!
oh SNAP.
I just caught the correlation..
Loss of jobs and lack of hiring coincide with Chinese goods held up at sea.
Cause and effect. Cant run a business peddling Chinese merch without Chinese merch!
I talked to a man operating a roadside Trump merch tent this week. He has no hats or other merch except T -shirts they make here....
Happy gloss? More like you are futilely trying to put the typical Repug negative twist on another Trump failure and Biden success.
I'm guessing this truly is show of abysmal and dishonest stupidity by a TDS-addled pile of shit.
Good lord, how do you breathe while functioning on half a brain?
Something about us and Brandon leaving?... or something like that.
A couple of trillion in artificial credit does wonderful things..right Keynsian Pedos? We are in a severe recession. And it is only going to get worse unless we stop all deficit spending, shut down the Fed, bring the troops home and close down a good chunk of the Federal Govt.
End the fed, sound money, limited govt, free markets and peace...didn't we hear this back in 2008? 🙂
Damn straight Homey.

Just this morning sarc admitted democrats were slightly worse than conservatives. He is wrong in that they are much worse. But he still spends all his energy deflecting attacks on the left in order to get in Mikes pants. And apparently Bevis wants in on the love triangle too.
Republicans are the only opposition party when it comes to spending. But there must be a Dem POTUS for that scenario.
When there is a GOP POTUS there is no opposition party and the spigots open.
Best scenario = GOP House and Dem POTUS.
Herd animals gonna seek out a herd to be part of.
The GOP only represents fiscal responsibility when they can't do anything about it. Soon as they have power it's time to reward the cronies.
Spending? So they want federal control of energy? The want cultural marxism in schools? They want appeasement towards terror groups and Iran?
You can't possibly be this fucking stupid.
turd the asshole who can't read lies; it’s all he ever does. turd is a pathological liar, entirely too stupid to remember which lies he posted even minutes ago, and also too stupid to understand we all know he’s a liar.

Please.... Trump spent money like a drunken sailor. Pay attention to WHAT THE GOP ACTUALLY does....., AND ALLOWS the Democrats to do. WHO was it that just sent the 4.8-trillion bill over the top? Wake up fool. There IS no two parties in the end. Just Progressive Neoliberals and NeoCons pissing in the publics cheerios.
The Phucko Knows
Remember folks, sarcasmic swears he's not a Democrat, just ask him.
Can't a libertarian dislike both major parties?
I say such is a requirement.
But answer the question please. Yes or no.
Treating both parties as the same while only attacking one openly on 95% of their posts does not show they dislike them both. You fuckers called anyone who agreed with a single Trump policy cultists for 3 fucking years while pushing democrat narratives on Russia.
The two parties are not the same. Democrats are openly more hostile to freedoms. Look at Bidens campaign website dummy. Control of energy. Control of media. Control of health now. They are far more a threat to liberty.
The fact the type have to drop to pretending to be a centrist to cover for them is just stupid. You are not the golden mean. You run interference only for the left. 95% of your posts are to deflect criticism to the right.
Even om this fucking thread you and sarc have not actually attacked any policy of the left. In all the reason critical articles against the left you do not attack the left or agree with the article premise, you attack the right.
Not everyone is as fucking dumb as you two. Everyone sees what you are doing.
You say you hate both parties? Start attacking both parties dumbass.
A libertarian can, but you two deviants are progs.
turd lies; it’s all he ever does. turd is a pathological liar, entirely too stupid to remember which lies he posted even minutes ago, and also too stupid to understand we all know he’s a liar.
