Elite Media Run Press Releases for Biden's COVID Bill
Plus: Virginia's vote for the ERA is too late, South Carolina moves to relax birth control prescription requirements, and more...

No, the COVID bill won't end poverty or "snuff out the pandemic." With a $1.9 trillion spending package passed by the Senate over the weekend—bringing (among many other things) a round of $1,400 stimulus checks to most Americans—right-leaning media outlets have been taking heat for focusing on the royal family, on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's creepiness, on China, on random outrage bait… basically, anything else. You can see it on their front pages yesterday afternoon and again this morning. Since there's a lot to criticize in the recent spending package, it's strange that instead of taking this opportunity to actually engage in a little conservative analysis, conservative media outlets would rather serve up fluff and manufactured scandals. But whatever—these are explicitly ideological publications, and I have a hard time getting worked up about how they choose to spin.
Much more disturbing is fawning coverage of the COVID-19 relief bill from ostensibly neutral news outlets.
The bill does a whole lot more than extend federal unemployment benefits and send Americans money, and only about 5 percent of the spending is actually going toward pandemic-related public health efforts, according to the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). But you wouldn't know this from reading most mainstream coverage, which merely describes the coronavirus relief parts in glowingly positive terms and gives Biden credit for all of it.
The Washington Post headline and tweet about the bill passing read more like propaganda from an authoritarian country than the kind of thing we should be seeing in a free press, saying that the bill "showers money on Americans, sharply cutting poverty in defining move of presidency."
While previous rounds of stimulus checks were treated as a nice but stopgap gesture ("The $1,200 stimulus checks are arriving. People are mostly spending them on food"), this time sending American families one-time payments will sharply cut poverty?
Not to be outdone, Bloomberg credits the spending package with having the ability to "snuff out the pandemic" entirely.
Bloomberg also lauds Biden's "quiet style" that "belies a deep agenda for reshaping the U.S." One might expect Bloomberg to at least lay out some pros and cons of reshaping the country, but the article presents Biden proposals exactly as they're described in Democratic press releases. It offers no hint of awareness that the Biden administration saying something targets (insert bad thing here) doesn't always mean it lives up to the hype. It touts the number of executive orders Biden has signed without detailing the content of those orders, without mentioning that former President Donald Trump took a lot of flack for wielding executive power in this way, and without questioning whether executive governance by fiat is really the best thing. The only thing the article really faults Biden for is not reshaping the country more quickly.
In a piece purporting to be a simple explainer about what the COVID-19 package will do, The New York Times celebrates "President Biden's $1.9 trillion economic stimulus plan" for the $1,400 checks, unemployment benefits extension, child tax credit, Affordable Care Act subsidies, and sending money to local governments and schools. It faults the package only for not including a federal minimum wage hike.
The Times explainer does not note that state and local governments are actually doing pretty well during the pandemic and don't need a federal cash infusion. It does not note that most of the money for schools won't actually go toward helping them reopen. (As Reason's Eric Boehm notes, "the bill spends $129 billion on K-12 education" but most of it won't be distributed until after 2021 and some not until 2024.)
It does not say anything about the massive tax hike on businesses like Airbnb and Etsy, nor the new privacy concerns it will raise for people who use these websites.
It does not mention the massive bailout for failing pensions (that's tucked away in a separate article on the Times business page), nor note that roughly 95 percent of the spending has nothing to do with public health and the pandemic.
"Tucked inside the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill that cleared the Senate on Saturday is an $86 billion aid package that has nothing to do with the pandemic."

Virginia vote on Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) doesn't count, says judge. A group of Democratic attorneys general sued to try and force the feds to recognize Virginia's vote to ratify the ERA, even though the deadline for ratification came and went decades ago. From the Associated Press:
The lawsuit dismissed by a federal judge Friday sought to add the amendment to the Constitution.
After Virginia became the 38th to ratify the amendment that supporters say will guarantee women equal rights under the law, the archivist of the United States declared he would take no step to certify the amendment's adoption….
Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring says he's considering an appeal.

South Carolina considers making it easier for women to buy birth control. "A bill that would allow pharmacists to directly give birth control to women in South Carolina without a prescription is heading to the Senate floor," reports A.P.
The Senate Medical Affairs Committee approved the bill Thursday.
Senators said they expect to discuss a few changes to the bill on the floor, including whether pharmacists will be required to discuss birth control directly with women before handing it over or if the information can be in written form.

That's not what WaPo told me.
They meant it figuratively. You CLACLLs are far too literal.
Excellent.
After Quiting my office job I was looking for a job which is not only financially benificial but also less time consuming so that I spend some time with my family. After a lot of research I noticed that only online work has that kind of credibility. But in past two years I Worked at many sites and all of them were spammer. But for the last 4 months I have been working on a website which is not only Popular world wide but also US certified. I am earning upto 15000 dollars a month by working only 2 hours a day. It really shouldn't only be right-leaning media (and it isn't, if you count Reason), because this is as blatant as it gets. I know everyone hates whataboutism, even though it's perfect for pointing out these kinds of things, but if this was Trump... Oh, wait, it was Trump at one point and guess what.
Trump is a confirmed child molester and serial rapist according to sources at Reddit's r/politics forum.
That's so blue anon

There is Right Leaning Media, and then Ostensibly Neutral Media....
So the problem with this horrible bill is that conservatives are allegedly not criticizing it harshly enough?
If there's a issue on the left, the real problem is always the right's reaction.
Reason’s new axiom: It’s always the fault of the right.

Well, the left won't listen, so talking to them isn't going to help anything. The right might at least hear and correct their actions.
Biden opens up cages for kids at 100% despite covid. But it is okay. The cages are now called reception centers.
https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-allows-child-migrant-detention-centers-to-open-at-100-capacity-eyes-giving-them-new-name-reports
Maybe he couldn't shoot someone in Times Square, but he sure can keep his followers (journalists) after jamming kids into cages.
You know it's different when we do it, asshole, because we're compassionate.
But when Trump did the same thing Obama started....well fuck, watch out.
Gotta put those Indians somewhere before they take over the country.
They're like summer camps, but year round. So he's sending the kids to camps.
Much more disturbing is fawning coverage of the COVID-19 relief bill from ostensibly neutral news outlets.
This is what you have to look forward to for the next four years, but it's not like this cycle doesn't repeat itself every time the White House switches parties.
It didn't repeat itself in 2016. Or 2000. It seems to only repeat when a D wins.
Honestly, this is beyond anything I can recall seeing even during Obama's presidency. Yeah, the press would overlook or soft-sell shit such as the migrant detention camps, but even in those heady times, I don't recall them blatantly passing off press releases straight out of the White House PA office as news stories. The only President I can think of who was treated with these kind of kid gloves by the press was Kennedy.
The WaPo and Bloomberg headlines are outright propaganda, and both show just how tied together the Democratic Party and the mainstream press are currently.
It happened all the time under Obama. They also made sure the Press kept quiet by directly going after journalists when they went off the reservation.
Not that it's a unique thing when 'The Press' is lazy and just reprints what they're given with a few edits at most. It seems they're more willing to be lazy under a Democrat President though.
Yeah, but this is the first time in my lifetime that they've been so obvious about it. Left-wing journalists from the Boomer and Silent generations were a lot better at playing at being objective, because the consensus after WW2 was that political partisanship in the papers was something to be avoided in favor of more milquetoast narratives (exceptions were given for, as I mentioned, JFK, and Nixon in particular because he and the press were openly contemptuous of one another).
Gen-X and Millennial journalists were radicalized over the last 20 years, and just don't have the intellectual chops to pretend at being objective like their forebears. Everything has to be in service of advancing progressive ideology now and promoting the Democratic party.
The crime here is thinking those news sites are neutral.
Since there's a lot to criticize in the recent spending package, it's strange that instead of taking this opportunity to actually engage in a little conservative analysis, conservative media outlets would rather serve up fluff and manufactured scandals.
Ok....name the conservative media outlets. Otherwise, you are just full of shit, Elizabeth.

I'm sure it's somewhere on twitter, asshole. Does ENB have to find your cite herself?
Stop stroking the master baiters!
Whoops. I thought that was a person, not an asshole. My bad.

Depends. Can you pretend to talk about guns first?
I like to go to the range with my two caliber horse gun which I'm getting a clip for.
Does anyone else here love guns?
"two caliber horse gun which I’m getting a clip for."
Nice.
A bit Bugs Bunny-sh for a gun, don't cha think?
Tell us again how the 2 trillion in spending isn't that bad because inflation didnt affect bonds on a Sunday less than 24 hours later.

Nope, it's Tulpa or someone trying to bait me, and acting out their fantasies of what they think I think about various political issues. Whoever it is, they are batting zero so far.

Virginia vote on Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) doesn't count, says judge.
Some broads were allowed to get their votes in there somehow.
This is the modern Democratic Party — millionaires who vote the way billionaires (like Reason.com's benefactor Charles Koch) want them to.
Net worth of the 8 Democrats who just voted down $15 minimum wage: Chris Coons: $10.13 million Angus King: $9.49 million Joe Manchin: $7.62 million Tom Carper: $5.73 million Jeanne Shaheen: $3.82 million Jon Tester: $3.67 million Maggie Hassan: $3.47 million Krysten Sinema: N/A
Another example of OpenBordersLiberal-tarian's First Law. All those Reason staffers who endorsed a Democratic takeover of the federal government knew exactly what they were doing.
Oh yeah, and about Sinema?
Kyrsten Sinema makes history as first bisexual member of U.S. Senate
Identity politics is the best thing to happen to Koch / Reason libertarianism. Back in the 1980s (before I was born) a typical Democratic Senator would probably be a straight white male who would want to raise the minimum wage. Now a Democratic Senator is an LGBTQ+ woman who votes for the billionaire agenda.
#InDefenseOfBillionaires
Sinema hasn't been in office long enough yet to benefit from the same level of insider trading as her colleagues. Give her a couple of terms and she'll be a millionaire, too.
Also, fuckin' LOL at Klippenstein pointedly omitting the net worth of the Senators who voted yes.
Man, OBL, you teased this update in a thread yesterday, and I gotta tell ya buddy, you didn’t disappoint. This is good to know.
Keep up the great work!

Pelosi also bought 1 million in stock in Tesla a day before Biden signed an EO demanding all government agencies buy electric.
Remember too when the senators got their coronavirus briefings before the public and sold off millions of dollars in stocks before the crash last year, and faced no consequences and no regulation?
Meanwhile the Dems went ape shit when Trump owned $400 worth of the drug company that makes Hydroxychloroquine through a mutual fund. Claimed he was enriching himself.
The only bright spot is TSLA has dropped since then.
Gun background check bills are coming to Congress once again.
Wow! Sure didn't see that one coming, I thought Joe "Two Blasts From A Shotgun" Biden was a solid 2A supporter.
Don't forget "aim for the legs".

Worked for the Louisville Police Department.
Ah yes, the Louisville version of "I can't breathe". Did you notice that more people were shot at Breonna Taylor protests than at the incident itself? Hell, the Grandmaster Flash crew shot three of their own people because they were just so damn committed to justice.
But it's only to close the "FBI slacked off for more than 3 days loophole" that everyone claims allowed a person who wasn't disqualified from buying a gun (a misdemeanor drug possession charge is neither a felony nor proof of being an unlawful user or addiction) to buy a gun that he used 60 days later (you'd think 60 days would be enough to finish that FBI thing, wouldn't you?) to shoot up a church in Charleston.
Seems this new improved 20 day wait is just another loophole in the making. No doubt soon to be closed with a 45 day loophole, then 90 day loophole, ad nauseam.
No, the COVID bill won't end poverty or "snuff out the pandemic."
"How DARE you!!"
But they had good intentions.
Well, it can end a pandemic if the pandemic was bullshit in the first place.
Like most shorthands, "woke" and "antiWoke" are flawed and we should instead talk about the valuable projects of being anti-censorship and anti-authoritarian.
Do those two hyphenates replace woke or anti-woke?
Not in the least.

Mu. The question is wrong.
It's a side-step to what we really care about compared to a false argument. I have no problem with people being as "woke" as they want.
However, I am anti-authoritarian.
I am also against all those racists masquerading as progressives that want to create segregation and overturn Loving (seriously, I've heard people talk about how "white supremacist" it is to date outside your race).
Biden is gearing up to roll back Trump administration changes to Title IX (the law governing campus sex discrimination and rape) that Education Secretary Betsy DeVos put in place to help ensure some due process for those accused.

No prosecution for illegal voting. Senate commissions with forced testimony from judicial rulings. Eliminate clean voter rolls, force voter registrations without certification of residency.
Just read section 1015 of the bill.
As Bender would say, we’re boned.
Go with the flow: learn to cheat at the elections. Biggest cheater wins. Hey, when you don’t make the rules, do what you can to take better advantage of them than the other guys.
When the US military ran the Iraqi elections, they required people to vote in person and after they had voted, they put purple dye on their finger to keep them from coming back. It was a bit archaic, but I had more confidence in that tally than the mail in voting here.
To expand Americans’ access to the ballot box, reduce the influence of big money in politics, strengthen ethics rules for public servants, and implement other anti-corruption measures for the purpose of fortifying our democracy, and for other purposes.
The intro to this abomination. Read it and weep.
Do you have a problem with real democracy?
More of a problem with "other purposes".
Reads like the Enabling Act of 1933.
Then again mob rule has always worked for the mob. I mean we only had a minor riot in the capital in January, it wasn't like the Reichstag fire or anything but it does appear history is repeating itself in the government's response.
I can't wait until Our Democracy is so Fortified that we don't even need elections.
No prosecution for illegal voting.
Only if you vote Democrat, though.
This article is fertilizer. It is a bunch of stuff pulled out of thin air. There is no reason that automatic registration would lead to illegals voting. I am especially offended with there idea that state legislatures not commissions should set political district boundaries. No state legislature draws boundaries, they merely approve boundaries drawn by a third party. Now the question is whether that third party will be a public commission or some high priced political consultant. I chose a commission operating in public view. I am sick of seeing 60% of people vote for one party and then other party getting 60% of the legislative seats.
There's no reason having to show an ID to vote would lead to voter suppression, either, but that's the narrative.
I am sick of seeing 60% of people vote for one party and then other party getting 60% of the legislative seats.
I'm sick of seeing urbanite slimebags whine that they can't steamroll their agenda under a republican form of government.
It cites the bill dumbfuck.
It cites the bill then takes everything in the bill out of context. Where in the bill does it say that illegal aliens can vote? I just goggled the bill and I did not find it. The article is just blowing smoke.
Steve Chapman on why decriminalizing prostitution is an idea whose time has come.
Phrasing.
"Oh, very well. 'Decriminalizing prostitution is an idea with a happy ending.'"
THAT'S ACTUALLY WORSE.
Sounds good to me.
Or maybe this one.

Gun background check bills are coming to Congress once again.
The path to confiscation has to start somewhere.
Background checks only work if there's a ownership registry since it's the only way to know if a gun was transferred legally. The problem is that criminals won't be required to register any illegally owned guns because it violates their 5th Amendment rights. It's also pretty safe to assume that any gun owned by a felon wasn't bought legally.
It's all about making it more difficult for law abiding people, not criminals but we already knew that.
Biden's new antitrust advisor is bad news for tech companies.
Something about lying in the bed one has made.
Can someone explain how gun registration stops crime?
No. But "we have to do *something*!"
It's not about stopping crime, preventing gun violence, or curtailing illegal gun sales. It's about equity, and turning law-abiding gun owners into felons too.
The same way masks stop coronavirus.
That's easy silly, the same way TV licensing and registration in the UK stops crime. Why do you even need to ask? LOL.

It has gotten so bad even the WSJ is now questioning section 230.
But sarcasmic/Sqrlsy and White Knight assure us that was the intent of 230.
With or without Section 230, websites have always had the right to pick and choose which user-provided content they publish, and to comment on any user-provided content they do publish. The website is their private property.
Caw caw!
The website is their private property
That doesn't change the fact that it isn't anti-libertarian and morally wrong, Herr Goebbels. Libertarian principles don't end in a government department.
Besides, Alphabet shared 90% of it's upper management, board and executive with the Democratic party; and Google got as big as it did due to government investment and sponsorship, either directly via In-Q-Tel, or through its proxies.
Explain to me again how an obviously corporatist entity is just a private company.

Also, IIRC a niqab does not cover the eyes, so why is that any different from a mandated COVID mask?
We wore the burkha many times during the wars. It was the best way to wear full body armor and weapons without being noticed until it is too late. Nobody expects an armed man in a burkha, nobody! Fools!
it's strange that instead of taking this opportunity to actually engage in a little conservative analysis, conservative media outlets would rather serve up fluff and manufactured scandals.
This is the first time I've seen a "conservatives don't pounce" take. Of course ENB is ignoring over 2 weeks of conservatives pouncing on this bill.
This was quite a stretch to somehow blame Republicans and conservative media for this piece of shit bill.
How many articles did Reason write before the election or the vote Saturday denouncing this spending?
The bill is fucking terrible, yet your preferred take is conservatives didnt pounce hard enough.
Lol. Go fuck yourself.
You can’t blame the people that wrote the bill, everyone is to blame. We are all in this together, remember?
Meanwhile, conservatives are jumping all over HR-1 Election Fraud bill. Are you going to ignore that when you vaguely wonder why there was no opposition to that when it's passed, also?
If you haven't seen any opposition to the Covid-relief travesty, maybe you haven't been looking. At all. Or maybe your preferred social media has been filtering out all the coverage so you didn't even have to see it.
My guess it’s the latter. ENB truly lives in an echo chamber.
#BidenBoom update.
In 2021 Democrats have raised the minimum wage by: $0.00 / hour
In 2021 Reason.com benefactor Charles Koch's net worth has increased by: $4.19 billion
Mr. Koch earned more than a billion dollars on the most recent business day. He'll soon erase his $5 billion loss from 2020 caused by Drumpf's high-tariff / low-immigration policies.
#GetReadyForTheKochComeback
Don't forget the benefits of unlimited immigration. Rents are likely to increase more than 10% a year if we get regular immigrant caravans from Latin America! Plus we will likely be able to turn Texas permanently blue if we overturn these racist voting restrictions.
Meghan Markle had suicidal thoughts after marrying into the royal family after some unnamed family member asked her about the likely color of her babies--and the queen, apparently, ghosted them for a week after the wedding.
While that's enough to make anyone feel sad and lonely, I'm having a hard time feeling truly sorry for people who get paid $7 million dollars for doing a softball interview with Oprah Winfrey, $100 million to create content for Netflix, and are being paid a reported $25 million to create podcasts for Spotify.
They were, apparently, complaining that they were effectively forced to take this filthy lucre from capitalists because the royal family cut them off financially.
I find this interesting not because I give a shit about Meghan Markle, Harry, or the royal family, but because I think it's emblematic of how the elitists in our society manage to associate themselves with victimhood--and even project themselves as victims.
The cult of victimhood is completely out of control, and if we can't see it when the most elitist people possible are using it to manipulate public opinion, when will we see it? There are real injustices out there being perpetrated against innocent victims every day, and plenty of them struggle and thrive anyway. I am genuinely impressed by people who refuse to be victims.
But let's all pray that Meghan and Harry somehow learn to survive on $132 million in media contracts they made this year--and come out on top in their PR battle with the royal family.
There should be a sequel to Idiocracy called Victimocracy, where in order to rise up in the world, you need to have been run over by somebody.
Victimhood is the greatest currency of the left. It is straight out of the struggle sessions under Mao. Convince everyone they are a victim and who you oppose is the oppressor. That is CRT in a nut shell and the new form of neo marxism.
It's a cult.
If you aren't a victim of something, they don't give a shit.
One of my favorite movie quotes is from The Crow: "Victims, aren't we all..."
I'm sorry but as a third generation Holocaust survivor, I can soundly state that you are talking out your ass. I still experience the horrors of the Holocaust daily when I take my morning shower or walk into a broom closet. Those feelings of suffocation and death will never go away for me. The only justice I seek in the world is a little monetary compensation (ideally $5k per month) for the daily horrors and PTSD I must endure because of white supremacists and their libertarian allies.
And let's not even discuss your PTSD from the terrifying sounds after Taco Night.
If you go look at the comment sections of websites in other parts of the world, you'll see the same arguments made as we have here in the U.S., which I found to be quite remarkable--given the very different historical contexts of the issues being discussed.
I'm not arguing that the indigenous people of the plains here in the U.S., the Maori of New Zealand, the native Hawaiians, and the victims of colonialism in Africa were not victims, that there aren't any negatives consequences associated with the circumstances of their histories--and I'm not trying to justify their victimization in any way. But I find it interesting that the arguments they make are all more or less the same regardless of the details of their very different specifics of their different histories and cultures.
Being a minority in a western style democracy stinks; it stinks in more or less the same ways everywhere, regardless of the details of history. Having your land taken stinks, and the kinds of arguments that gain currency in an English speaking democracy tend to be similar everywhere, regardless of the details of history, too.
If BLM resonates in other communities around the world, with more or less the same arguments, that doesn't mean that the specific circumstances in Minneapolis or Ferguson aren't legitimate. But it does suggest that the same arguments might gain the same currency even without the specifics of events in Minneapolis or Ferguson. We probably get lost arguing over the details--if the same arguments are being made elsewhere in the world with different circumstances.
The victims of the holocaust; the victims of the Armenian genocide, the victims of the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, Korea, and the Philippines. They seem to make similar arguments, have similar internal arguments among themselves, and the apologists for genocide seem to have similar reactions, too. Despite the absolute fact that what happened to them and why should never be forgotten, the details of their victimization don't seem to be a differentiating factor.
And when I see elitists try to capitalize on similar kinds of victimization in order to manipulate public opinion, it makes me sick. Sometimes they claim to be victims themselves, which is what people like Liz Warren apparently did, but sometimes they simply try to associate themselves with a victimized group through charity or advocacy. And that becomes a fashion statement that certain groups never seem to win. Be sure to tell me when Meaghan and Harry start a charity to benefit the coal mining communities of Appalachia.
If being a minority in a Western Style Democracy "stinks", how is it in a Middle Eastern Theocracy, or an Asian CommunoFascist Autocracy, or an African ReligioTribalocracy?
You think that because being a minority in other circumstances stinks, being overruled as part of the minority in a western style democracy doesn't stink?
Do you understand anything about the point I was making? It has to do with the fact that minorities in western style democracies seem to make the same arguments--because they're in the minority and because of the results of that--rather than because of the specific circumstances of their historical grievances or their differing cultures.
If being a minority in a western style democracy is better than being a minority under an authoritarian state, how does that in any way address my point?
Ken - diWhite Knightoxide is agreeing with you.
Matt Taibbi has been doing a series of arguments recently that lay out how bad the philosophy espoused by Herbert Marcuse, who's basically the godfather of critical race theory, has been for the stability and cohesion of western democracies.
I've said before, a country that's run by people who hate it is a country that isn't going to last very long.
See, Rome. When nobody was Roman anymore, Rome quickly ceased to be. Diversity, who knew that it could end a 1000 year empire.
Rumor has it that the reason Harry picked Megan to hitch up with was that he had gotten sick and tired of Prince Phillip getting on his butt to stop tomcatting around and settle down like his brother had, so he asked one of his American yachting hook-ups to marry as a "fuck you" to his family.
Sooner or later, she'll probably divorce him.
Being part of the royal family is fun until it's not. Now that she's not part of the royal family and not in the UK--and the money is coming in big anyway--what's the point of being married to a royal?
I bet the marriage won't last much longer than their Netflix contract.
Everything Is So Terrible And Unfair! (tm). ........
It’s not just for losers anymore!
Pussy
Instead of kissing a frog and turning him into a prince, she married a prince and made him a Cuck.
WSJ begins to understand:
“We’ve been leery of proposals in Congress to modify Section 230 protections that shield internet platforms from liability,” the editors wrote. “But social-media giants are increasingly adding phony fact checks and removing articles flagged by left-leaning users without explanation. In short, they are acting like publishers in vetting and stigmatizing the content of reputable publishers. The legal privileges that enable these companies to dominate public discourse need to be debated and perhaps revised.”
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/wsj-section-230-facebook-fact-check
"The legal privileges that enable these companies to dominate public discourse need to be debated and perhaps revised."
Support for debating and perhaps revising a rule that protects third parties from being sued for statements they didn't write doesn't mean they support people being sued for statements they didn't write.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/fact-checking-facebooks-fact-checkers-11614987375
And if you read the article at the WSJ (the wayback machine may be helpful), they aren't complaining about their content being taken down. Would repealing Section 230 require Facebook to publish a WSJ against their will?
I don't think so. Repealing Section 230 would make Facebook publish less than they do now. It seems to me that the Wall Street Journal is asking for a revision that would require Facebook to publish everything that comes their way--and preserve Facebook's immunity from lawsuits over the content.
"They
aren’t[are] complaining about their content being taken down. Would repealing Section 230 require Facebook to publish a WSJ against their will?"----Ken Shultz
Fixed.
The point is that they seem to be arguing to keep the part of Section 230 that protects them from necessarily frivolous lawsuits over the false claims of third parties.
They seem to want something that requires Facebook to publish their material--not something that makes Facebook liable for the false claims of third parties.
"Much more disturbing is fawning coverage of the COVID-19 relief bill from ostensibly neutral news outlets."
Hey! No mean tweets! Gotta be worth it!
Are you a 12 stepper Sevo? You seem it. I'm not against people going to those stupid meetings, but it does mean you're inferior to those of us who can handle booze and drugs.
It would explain your anger and lack of intelligence.
KAR is terrible at doing this.
You win!
Ha! You got banned pedo.
I just changed my name to keep the mormons and their supporters on edge.
You're the one who defends a pedo. You're just lying because I pointed out mormons worship a pedo. You love mormons, so you love pedo worshippers.
And you love being the first point of contact with chucks ass and balls.
You nastay!
Whatever ya mormon loving pussy.
Please tell me if you visit the NW so I can pound your Mormon loving face in.

I am not as young as I used to be. Leakage is inevitable. If the Ridiculous Cunt formerly known as KillMyselfRedsocks chooses to associate himself with my skid marks and cumstains, then he has fully embraced the one thing we agree on.
I don't read the screeds. Flagging every post and refreshing takes but moments, so he is more than welcome to continue with the self-pwning. Unlike the baby jeffys and SQLFRTs, a joke at my expense doesn't send me into paroxysms of rage.
Kill mormons. Refresh.
You read every word Chuck.

You're pervert god doesn't exist. Anyone with a brain knows Joseph Smith was a con artist perv.
I get your garments in a bunch.
FYI you're not clever or funny Chuck. If you were you wouldn't be Mormon. Name one mormon comedian?
If true it also means you're a pussy. I could be wrong though. However, you responded to every comment of mine with "Fuck off you TDS infected lefty shit" until I mentioned blow. Now you ignore me. Also your claim of it making people "addled" is something some stupid clown at a 12 step meeting would say.
Am I right or wrong? If I'm wrong I'll leave you alone.
Fuck off and die, asshole.
If I'm wrong I'll leave you alone. You're a random dude on the internet so you can lie. Are you a 12 stepper? You sure seem like it.
If I'm wrong I'll leave you alone.
If I'm right I'll leave you alone as well.
Fuck off and die painfully, asshole.

I'm not anti addiction. I'm anti bitter far right morons like Sevo.
And you're apparently jealous of a dude for fucking a 15 year old you pedo.
Why do the right parody posters try to be witty, but the left ones are just self-righteous angry bigots? I guess it's true that lefty's can't meme.
Hahaha! Keep being proud of being able to "meme." Let us adults focus on the important things.
They can be assholish pests.
Am I right or wrong Sevo? Ya know a drink will make you less angry and cure your BDS.
I'm pretty sure the answer is you are. Otherwise you would just say you aren't.
You're inferior to the rest of us and a pussy.
You're a pedo. That's what you are.
“Chicks are funny! And smart!”
Pussy
Leftists really can't meme
I know memes are important to you ya senile old crank.
Those of us without dementia will focus on important things while you senile old right wingers "meme."
It's just sad
I know your dementia is sad Nardz. I don't know where you live, but my state has doctor assisted suicide. You should talk to your doctor and wife about "putting you down."
The fact that memes are so important to you is proof that your life has no meaning...
I'm sorry. I know its hard.
Oh shit two in a row he made you mad pedo.
Well... at least you tried
Tried what? Goddamn you're senile.

Yeah, I’m sure there’s a huge contingent of smart, young progressives focused on wiping out Mormons.

Republicans don't understand the First Amendment, part 8 million.
Guess who admitted that Vice President Kamala Harris and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra violated the First Amendment?
Who knew Kamala Harris and Xavier Becerra were Republicans?
Who knew the First Amendment guarantees a right to petition for redress of greivances?
"Biden Endorses Female Generals Whose Promotions Were Delayed Over Fears of Trump’s Reaction"
[...]
"President Biden has nominated two female generals to elite, four-star commands, the Defense Department announced, months after their Pentagon bosses had agreed on their promotions but held them back out of fears that President Donald J. Trump would reject the officers because they were women.
[...]
The unusual strategy to delay the officers’ promotions — intended to protect their accomplished careers — was devised last fall by Mark T. Esper, the defense secretary at the time, and Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
They both thought the two generals were exceptional officers deserving of the commands. But under Mr. Trump, they worried that any candidates other than white men for jobs mostly held by white men might run into resistance once their nominations reached the White House..."

Note this insubordination is NOT due to anything Trump did, it is a result of the fantasies of two TDS-addled shits.
Those two pieces of shit should be relieved of command right now and given dishonorable discharges.
Maybe a drink or two would help your BDS?
Fuck off and die, asshole.
Am I right?
Up yours, asshole.
Are you gonna talk to your sponsor about this? I'll buy him a drink too!
pedo
Which is a more likely scenario - the promotions were held back for fear Trump would reject them OR they that he would confirm them and get to boast about it?
More Generals! That is exactly what we need. Who cares that we have more Generals now than we did during WWII with a military that is twice the size. I'm sure they all have important things to do.
Im a pussy alcoholic like you Sevo! Let's go to a meeting!
"Republicans don't understand the First Amendment, part 8 million."
Democrats don't understand the First Amendment, part 8 billion.
Democrats: In '56 we disregarded the 1A in AL. SCOTUS struck it down. So we decided we'd try it again in CA.
Republicans: Website users should have a right to file civil suits for redress of greivances.
Reason: Republicans misunderstand 1A for 8 millionth time. Both sides!
What hack garbage.
Utterly ridiculous.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/03/06/mexican-restaurant-mask-mandate-ice-threat/
If there's one truly horrible aspect of the mask mandate madness of the past year, it's that disgruntled patrons feel the need to vent their spleen at the low-paid staff who have the least amount of power to do anything about it.
If you don't like wearing a mask at a restaurant and want to let your feelings be known, fine. But don't do it at the expense of the poor wait staff. What are *they* going to do about it? It's not their restaurant. They aren't the ones who imposed the mask mandate.
Threatening to call ICE on employees at a Mexican restaurant because you don't like their mask mandate *on their own private property* is disgusting behavior.
Concern trolling noted. Fuck off.
You seem pissed. Why don't you have a drink?
You seem stupid. Why don't you fuck off?
I'm sorry Sevo. Why don't you have a drink.
I'm not sorry. Why don't your fuck off?
Am i right Sevo?
Please fuck off and die, asshole.
What meetings do you go to?
Stop trying to get him to join NAMBLA with you.
My wife works at our local library. At least once a week, some patron has been coming in and yelling at librarians over their mask rule. Yelling at a librarian is really low behavior.
I know, right? Do these people think that shop clerks or wait staff or librarians are able to wave a magic wand and change the mask mandate law? What do they expect to see happen? It is just being rude assholes to people who have no power to do anything about it.
Breaking news! New discovery by jeff and WK: The world isn't fair!
Fuck those guys! Us alcoholic pussies have to stick together. Ya know because we're inferior to people who can handle booze.
But blaming cops for enforcing laws you dont like is different because.....
The upper management who made the decision about the library's masking rules aren't even in the building. They are all working from their home offices.
"stationing a mariachi band at the curbside pickup"
Anyone who tries to cause trouble for a restaurant that is awesome enough to station a mariachi band at their curbside pickup is a major asshole.

How GDP Growth Under Trump Compares To Clinton, Obama And Other Presidents
Trump’s GDP Numbers: Trump has campaigned as the best choice for the U.S. economy. Trump often uses the stock market as a scorecard for his policies, but the best representation of the real U.S. economy is gross domestic product.
Here’s a look at annual U.S. GDP growth during Trump’s presidency. The 2020 estimate comes from the Federal Reserve:
2017: +2.3%
2018: +3%
2019: +2.2%
2020: -3.7%
How Trump Compares: Overall, U.S. GDP growth has averaged about 0.95% during Trump’s first term in office. Here’s a look at how that GDP growth stacks up to his predecessor, President Barack Obama:
2009: -2.5%
2010: +2.6%
2011: +1.6%
2012: +2.2%
2013: +1.8%
2014: +2.5%
2015: +3.1%
2016: +1.7%
In his eight years in office, U.S. GDP growth averaged 1.62% under Obama, about 70% higher than Trump’s growth rate.
Here’s a look at average GDP growth rates under the last six U.S. presidents:
Jimmy Carter (D): 3.25%
Ronald Reagan (R): 3.48%
George H.W. Bush (R): 2.25%
Bill Clinton (D): 3.88%
George W. Bush (R): 2.2%
Barack Obama (D): 1.62%
Donald Trump (R): 0.95%

If you smoked a lil weed you may be less angry Sevo.
If you fucked off and died, the world would be a better place.
If you had a lil weed or a beer you'd be less angry. It won't help your lack of intelligence, but you'll feel smarter.

Good point; that makes two who get auto-flagged and refreshed; Sqrlsy and this asshole.
Goddamn you're a stupid drunk Sevo.
If I'm wrong you can say so, or if I'm right you can lie and say you aren't because it's the internet.
I'm pretty sure I'm right. If I'm wrong why don't you explain it to me over drinks? I'm buying?
You really should talk to your sponsor about your anger and BDS. Your lack of intelligence I doubt he can help you with. Hell he's probably as dumb as you.
That was pretty try-hard pedo.
Noperooney. I actually like Mormons.
"Noperooney"
100% guarantees it is White Jeff.
I was gonna suggest the same to you, chuck’s.
Do you mind if I call you chuck’s? The possessive form seems appropriate. Dude owns you.
Haha.
Pussy

Kill Mormons. Refresh.
Now now. It is unfair to hold Trump to the standard of every other president.
I take it back, turd. There is one pathetic piece of lefty shit who is stupid enough to buy your bullshit.
Calm down dude. I'll buy ya a beer.
Fuck off.
Go take your Droxy like Trump told you, Sevo. You're spinning out again.
Fuck off and die with the new asshole, turd.
Am I right Sevo?
You win the award for newest asshole.
You should talk to your sponsor about your anger and BDS.
It's not healthy.
A glass of wine a few times a week is healthy. Want one?
But you're a pedo.
Does that award include a chip or coin? Because I'm a pussy alcoholic just like Sevo.

Up yours, asshole.
Am I right or wrong Sevo?
You're a pedo.
Will you sponsor me? I'm also an alcoholic pussy like you Sevo.
LOL. I love when you idiots do this even though every time you do you get killed over it.
This type of argumentation requires one to think:
A) Trump caused the global pandemic
B) Trump forced democratic governors and mayors to lock down
C) That Congress has no culpability nor the power of the purse
You are such an idiot that you believe all 3 things to make the assertion you do.
Such an obese idiot.
Shrike has had his nose rubbed in this same pile of shit so many times, it's amazing he won't stop leaving it on the carpet for us to find over and over again.
He's an outside dog.
It is 100% BLS and Fed stats, you moron. You're the one that makes up lies.
"It is 100% BLS and Fed stats,.."
Carefully cherry-picked by some TDS-addled shit (turd is too stupid to do so) to present Trump in the worst light possible.
Turd, do you think anyone other than Jeff is stupid enough to buy your bullshit?
A drink or joint or line or shot will cure your BDS Sevo. Although I don't recommend the last one.
Fuck off and die, asshole.
Am I right Sevo?
Stick your head up your butt, asshole.
It's WK/chemleft trying to get revenge for you telling him to go fuck himself.
Or some random new asshole whining for someone to engage.
Maybe your sponsor can help you figure out who I am Sevo?
Is he a pathetic, angry loser like you too?
You've gotten far more attention than assholes like you deserve.
Fuck off and die. Painfully.
Sevo talk to your sponsor about your anger and BDS.
You're a pedo.
Sevo will you sponsor me? I'm a pussy alcoholic who is inferior to regular people like you!
For you to believe Trump was the cause of those things is the pile he is talking about dummy.
It is 100% BLS and Fed stats, you moron. You’re the one that makes up lies.
Obama started his term at the bottom of a financial meltdown.
Trump ended his term at bottom of an economic meltdown caused by the pandemic and lockdowns--that he effectively opposed.
If your stats don't account for those facts, then your conclusions lie.
This has been pointed out to you over and over and over again. The reason your stats lie isn't because you're being dishonest. The reason your stats like is because in spite of you having this explained to you in painful detail over and over and over again, you still don't understand.
You're just not very bright, Shrike.
The point here is that every president is judged by the state of the economy under his tenure, REGARDLESS if the president's actions directly caused the performance or not.
Clinton was credited for the economy with the dot-com boom, even though he did very little to cause that to happen.
Bush was blamed for the economic meltdown in 2008 even though he did very little to cause that to happen.
Obama was credited for the resulting economic recovery that happened even though he did very little to cause that to happen.
And so it goes with Trump.
Of course it is an unfair standard. But it is the standard. So don't whine when the exact same standard is applied to Trump that was applied to every single other president.
You're a dipshit.
When you can't manage more than a 3 word response from Ken Shultz, you have exhausted any claim to credibility.
If you're a Mormon you aren't funny or clever.
Say your prayers to your perv god that doesn't exist.
"The point here is that every president is judged by the state of the economy under his tenure, REGARDLESS if the president’s actions directly caused the performance or not..."
By TDS-addled shits like you and turd
I really feel like drinking. Can I get your number? Cuz I'm a big pussy alcoholic like you.
Trump's own words, recognizing this common understanding: "Leadership: Whatever happens, you're responsible. If it doesn't happen, you're responsible."

Sevo's own words: "TDS-addled shits will cherry pick data leaving the rest of us convinced they are TDS-addled shits."
Sevo I'm a big inferior pussy like you. Let's go to a meeting!
Lol. Just because you do retarded things doesn't mean others also do retarded things fatty.
If I may identify as a Cassandra [waxing apocalyptic] here:
Nothing as to how this boondoggle is going to be paid for? Not the reckless spending heretofore and sure to follow?
It's going to break, count on it. Neither Democrats nor Republicans seem to thing deficits matter any more.
Even if something like The Convention of States succeeds and mandates a constitutional convention, that presumably would be restricted to items like a balanced budget and term limits, there would be so much opposition that it might actual resemble a real civil war. No one, be it politician or person, is ever going to agree to gore their own ox. Can you imagine rolling back "entitlements"* like social security or Medicare, without an actual rebellion?
So eventually, inevitably, the country will become insolvent and our welfare state will cease, because there will be no other choice. And when it does the government damned better make sure the populace is unarmed, if it wants to survive.
*entitlements that most of us have paid for our entire working lives
Real civil war is the only hope this country has.
We're in a more dangerous spot than 1933 Germany
Haha! You're so goddamn senile!

I think you are off a little. The Germans were able to disarm their population easily because the population believed in their government. That won't happen here.
I drove through the Midwest right before the 2016 election. I saw very few Trump signs and even fewer Hillary signs, but 2A signs were tacked to every surface.
What are they going to do, send groups of Woke shits to collect those guns? Most Americans don't give a shit who is in the White House, they only care about keeping their weapons.
We're in the "tearing as many chunks off of the dead whale, before it sinks to the bottom" stage of national economic theory. Or, "looting the Target before it burns completely down," is probably a better metaphor. More recently on TV, anyway.
The crash, is the point. The successor will likely be something global. Or the Chinese will quit screwing around and demand we all use the yuan.
A new constitutional convention would be a disaster for liberty in the USA. Better to cling to what's left of the original.
There is the risk of a convention being coopted, but if it can be restricted to specific issues like a balanced budget and term limits, that would be alleviated. But the bigger risk in "holding on to what little we have left" is just that; it's diminished and will only get worse.
Two black guys were in my local gun store this week. One of them had a 3-4 yr. old kid with him. The clerk commented about wishing to have the boundless amount of energy as the kid and then disappears into the back to get the merchandise one of them requested. A discussion ensues between the two men about how, with all the spending, there won't be any money left for the toddler when she grows up.
The real problem with the next Civil War is that China is going to (have to) bankroll the blue dog democrats. If they win, that's it.
China's in a race with its own titanic structural issues. A middle class it can't afford to give meaningful freedom to; about 150 million young men with no prospects of finding other Han mates; a leadership core that increasingly embodies the 'little emperors' social phenomenon of being male and only children, as it reveals the wholly materialistic value system it was indoctrinated within: there are several gigantic cracks in Chinese society that can easily rip it apart. Into what, I have no idea.
I do have the idea though, that Xi and his cadre will absolutely not leave power without doing everything they can to tear everything and everyone around them down. I don't think they move militarily on Taiwan, either this year or next. They're badly dependent on sea trade to feed their people right now, due to various domestic agricultural disasters I've mentioned here before, until their various Silk Road road and rail projects get expanded.
Plus, Taiwan will absolutely push China's shit in if China tries anything military. Up to and including making the right parts of Beijing glow in the dark. Wouldn't you, in Taiwan's position?

BTW, I guess this is too local for attention on Reason:
"Cuomo faces mounting Democratic backlash as top New York state lawmakers call for resignation"
[...]
"Powerful state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins called for her fellow Democrat's resignation on Sunday after two more former aides came forward alleging inappropriate conduct by the governor, including one who accused Cuomo of making an unwanted sexual advance in a Los Angeles hotel room more than two decades ago while she worked for him as a paid consultant...."
https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/08/politics/andrew-cuomo-calls-to-resign-harrassment-claims/index.html
At least half of last week's Reason Roundtable podcast was nothing but the senior Reason editorial staff bashing Cuomo. They diss Cuomo all the time on the podcast.
If only the people on the podcast had some other way of expressing themselves for people that don’t listen to the podcast.
I’m amazed anyone actually listens to the podcast. Suderman is his own symphony of nails on a chalkboard.
I do have to admit when it comes to the “What are you consuming?” portion of the podcast, I don’t care about hearing about Suderman’s pants, cocktails, video games, or pop culture movies.
On the other hand, always enjoy Gillespie’s rants, and Welch and Mangu-Ward’s rage against their local school boards.
"At least half of last week’s Reason Roundtable podcast was nothing but the senior Reason editorial staff bashing Cuomo. They diss Cuomo all the time on the podcast."
So they did comment on it, but buried on Pg 10, beneath the fold? And you find that sufficient?
That explains more than you'd like.
Hey wanna go to a meeting? We can talk about what big pussies we are and how we're inferior to people who can handle booze.

No. Mean. Tweets.
Clearly ENB prefers they keep their propaganda more subtle, so she can cite it in the roundup as news.
So what?
Jeff wouldn’t like that either. Throwing them in an internment camp for re-education, organ harvesting, and slave labor? As long as it’s in another country, he’s good with that.
So, going to a Mexican restaurant, and calling ICE on the employees because you assume they are illegal immigrants simply because they look Mexican? How is that better?
Or, you can burn the place down and claim police brutality and systemic racism.
Twitter/FB/etc declaring an outlet to be pushing disinformation can have a negative outcome for that person if done incorrectly. They take some form of culpability if they pursue these actions. See the computer repair shop regarding Hunter laptop.
The companies are choosing actions that can cause harm through defamation, loss of business, etc (often in violation of the ToS the user signed up for).
The corporations should be liable for their chosen actions.
Or, you could just shoot them on public property.
No, not 10 yeara ago. Or 20. Or 30.
"half the fucking Reason staff voted for Biden"
In case anyone wants the actual facts:
https://reason.com/2020/10/12/how-will-reason-staffers-vote-in-2020/
The actual count is 4 definite votes for Biden, and 2 maybe votes for Biden.
One of the definite votes was from Shikha Dalmia, who isn't on the Reason staff anymore. It is loudly whispered in the halls of Twitter she isn't on the Reason staff anymore precisely because she was too liberal leaning.
Hey, but proceed with your narrative.
I think the publishers' explanation is a red herring is what I'm trying to say. It seems like people are starting with the premise of, "Let's bankrupt Facebook and Google" and are just looking for excuses to rationalize that in law. Maybe the law sucks! Regardless, people shouldn't be forced to answer in court for things they didn't say or write--according to the plaintiff--for the same reason that people shouldn't be forced to answer in court for crimes they didn't commit by the admission of the accuser.
Just because something can be rationalized in law doesn't mean it should be. All sorts of things are both perfectly legal and perfectly awful, and in those cases, the law should be changed. In the case of people not being forced to answer in court for things they didn't write by the plaintiff's own admission, Section 230 is as it ought to be.
Gun manufacturers shouldn't be forced to answer in court for mass shootings they didn't perpetrate, too, and if there were some law or court case that made some bogus distinction that held gun manufacturers liable for crimes they didn't commit, that wouldn't justify the injustice of making them answer in court for things they didn't do. Because the progressives are willing to bend anything and everything in order to get what they want doesn't mean we should, too. It just means that they're evil and wrong and should be kept as far away from power as possible.
I appreciate that, but you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Repealing Section 230 entirely won't only stop Facebook, Twitter, and Google from arbitrarily censoring content and defaming users.
It will also open up other competing platforms to being sued to death for allowing third party users like us to say what we want.
I count 23 persons listed in the article. Even with your count of 5, which is including maybe votes (with the maybes I think it is 6, by the way), that is not "half" of 23.
Is this your promotion of the progressive "2 + 2 != 4" b.s.?
It seems like people are starting with the premise of, “Let’s bankrupt Facebook and Google” and are just looking for excuses to rationalize that in law.
ding ding ding
You're an idiot.
Fuck you.
Let your inner aspire flow, tard.
Caw caw!
Just like you, most of them were obviously lying.
"You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?" - Matthew 7:16
Did you notice how many had their last vote prior to "discovering libertarianism" was for awful democrats?
It's fun that you believe people who routinely lie to you.
“It is loudly whispered in the halls of Twitter”
FFS Dee, go jump off a bridge already.
So you're saying we should accept the status quo as second class citizens or else we lose you bloviating endlessly, Chemjeff lying about being a progressive, and White Knight sockpuppeting ad nauseum?
The horror. Whatever will we do without you to ignore.
"Repealing Section 230" is a red herring. The point is that these Big Tech corporations and their employees, who are now openly collaborating with one of the two major political parties to manufacture mass media narratives, should not have the benefit of legal protections provided by Section 230, because their actions are the actions of a publisher, not a platform.
I am fine with businesses choosing arbitrary decisions that are not done through contractual clauses.
I am not fine with government saying I can't sue them.
In no other industry would a contract that allows such arbitrary enforcement be allowed. It is for these companies. I dont know why you would defend this.
There is customer capture aspects at place here. People signed up for YouTube over others due to a promised monetization. YouTube has now arbitrarily changed these rules despite 10 years of effort to capture viewers and content makers. They have done so through arbitrary enforcement and single entity changes to contracts.
Libertarians should not support that. Allow lawsuits.
No, I'm saying that whatever we do, we shouldn't make it so that people are forced to answer in court for the accuracy of statements they didn't make.
It's really easy to understand unless you don't want to understand.
Because I want to see what my cousin had for dinner, and what my sister's cat is up to.
The real question is why in the world discuss politics on Facebook. It's for selfies and pictures of your grandkids.
Wrong, but within normal parameters.
Pretty sure a lot of the border is owned by the feds, so yeah, by his own reasoning, they should be shot on site for trespassing.
The word “discover” is never mentioned in the quite lengthy article. Can you reference whatever passage or passages from the article you are referring to?
Well said... seriously.
Caw caw!
A completely different scenario than what chemjeff posted about. A customer showing up to dine at some restaurant would not know such a thing.
But discussing your completely different hypothetical:
* Legally, nothing wrong with it. They are illegal.
* Ethically and libertarian-ly, a total scumbag move to interfere with someone peacefully working and living their life, and to interfere with a peaceful private employer/employee agreement that didn't involve you.
Inbred prog degenerates who are fascinated with their sisters pussies are among my favorite culture war casualties.
C’mon man, I didn’t wanna do that. You just made it too easy.
I did. And you took the opening. Well played.
Pussy
I'll cite this comment as you being a bigot.
Asshole AKA 'flagged for review'.
Wanna get drunk Sevo? I'll buy!
It isn't a red herring because conservatives are advocating repealing Section 230, and they either don't seem to understand the likely consequences or they don't care about the likely consequences.
It's also not a red herring because progressives are advocating repealing Section 230 because they understand the likely consequences very well--and they want that. Dangling liability protection in front of the social media companies through the consent decrees that will come about as a result of the antitrust cases will be the means by which progressives scrub conservatives from social media permanently.
Let's stop carry water for the progressives already--that is not a red herring.
