George H.W. Bush Averts Government Shutdown From the Grave: Reason Roundup
Plus: France postpones planned fuel-tax hike after Yellow Vest protests.
In his last act of moderate, patrician governance, it seems George H.W. Bush has kept the government going a little longer. The drama and hissy fits that surround shutdown fights will wind down for a moment, at least, per plans in Congress to take a pause for Bush's funeral and continue funding things through December 21. Otherwise the fabled shutdown was slated for December 7.
Why must they toy with our hearts like this? Always promising us a government shutdown they never deliver…
(That's a joke; I'm not a filthy anarchist like Editor in Chief Katherine Mangu-Ward. But I'm also not a fan of the manufactured frenzy that always surrounds what will inevitably be bipartisan agreement to return everything to the status quo.)
Mainstream media headline writers' hearts aren't even in it anymore. The most hype Time magazine could muster "It's still not clear how it will end." The Time article starts by invoking "a trillion dollar game of chicken," but a few paragraphs in reminds us that this is all business as usual:
A two-week delay would push the deadline to Dec. 21, right on the eve of Christmas, a classic legislative maneuver meant to force a solution on recalcitrant members who would rather spend the holidays with their families instead of debating the budget
The wild card this time is that President Donald Trump has declared conditions: He wants $5 billion for his border wall. From Time:
Fellow Republicans in Congress have offered to cobble it together, with money allocated earlier, new cash now and something of an IOU to come next September. The President's strongest allies are still holding out hope for a massive cash injection for the wall, while Senate Democrats seem to be holding steady at an offer of $1.6 billion to pay for border security, including a very limited section of the wall.
But Bush's funeral has delayed things for now, since roll call votes in the House were canceled all week. "While Democrats prefer a one-week extension, they signaled they would not object to a two-week delay," says Federal News Network. "Trump made clear over the weekend he would agree to a short-term funding extension to allow for ceremonies honoring Bush."

France is postponing a planned hike in fuel taxes after weeks of intense protests. "After hearing (the) anger I am suspending for six months three fiscal measures including fuel tax increases," said Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on Tuesday. The government's concession "comes after leaders from the 'Yellow Vest' movement, so-called because of the high visibility jackets worn by demonstrators, reportedly refused to meet Philippe on Tuesday for talks on how to diffuse opposition to planned fuel tax increases," reports CNBC.

Denmark plans to house the country's most unwelcome foreigners in a most unwelcoming place: a tiny, hard-to-reach island that now holds the laboratories, stables and crematory of a center for researching contagious animal diseases.
As if to make the message clearer, one of the two ferries that serve the island is called the Virus."They are unwanted in Denmark, and they will feel that," the immigration minister, Inger Stojberg, wrote on Facebook.

...it seems George H.W. Bush stopped a government shutdown.
Like the Libertopia Browns, he's let us down one last time.
Hello.
Macron is the worst kind of statist idiot. Like your run of the mill Liberal/Democrat here. 'You have to keep the status quo even if it's bad because the alternative is worse' is their best message.
didn't know there was more than one kind!
Yep-Macron is basically your limousine-liberal- a younger, gayer version of Michael Bloomberg. At least the American peasants take out their frustrations by electing a reality TV star rather than burning and breaking things.
Macron is pretty close to what a Hillary Presidency would have been in the US. He is hated by nearly everyone left and right. He can never go far left enough to appease the left and in trying to do so ends up doing all kinds of damage and enraging everyone else.
Vanilla Obama.
Macron might actually be dumber than Obama as remarkable as such a thing is.
There's a NYT article talking about how this revolt largely started in the hinterlands, but it has widespread support because the French government gets more onerous in its regulations every year, without providing anything in return.
Europeans don't mind higher taxes when they're actually getting a tangible benefit from it. That's why they're fine with taxes for a government healthcare system. Raising fuel taxes to "stop climate change" provides them with no tangible benefit and doesn't help the rural poor pay the bills.
Makes sense it would be fuelled - excused the pun - by this.
In the past bread prices (and taxes) led to revolts. Today it's gas.
"A set of 161 absentee ballots for the 9th Congressional District obtained by CNN on Monday showed that the same nine people signed at least 10 absentee ballots each," the network reports.
AND THEY ALL SIGNED IN CYRILLIC!
I am reliably informed that this is Fake News, because election fraud never happens in the United States.
It is Misleading News. The signing was by witnesses, not by voters. Absentee ballots were distributed and presumably to independent legit voters, and witnessed / collected by a few people who thus signed multiple ballots as witnesses.
I am a permanent absentee voter, on the (probably invalid) hypothesis that when I write letters to Congress, it carries more weight if I am a voter. Supposedly I can give that ballot to a friend to take in, and that friend can take multiple ballots in. Individual voters have to sign their own ballots, but whoever brings them to the county office also has to sign.
And how did CNN obtain them?
"A set of 161 absentee ballots for the 9th Congressional District obtained by CNN on Monday showed that the same nine people signed at least 10 absentee ballots each," the network reports.

A majority of "non-citizens," including those with legal green card rights, are tapping into welfare programs set up to help poor and ailing Americans, a Census Bureau finding that bolsters President Trump's concern about immigrants costing the nation.
In a new analysis of the latest numbers, from 2014, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and it grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more, confirming another concern that once immigrants tap into welfare, they don't get off it.
So basically everything Reason and Cato claims about immigration is a lie.
Focus on the food trucks, John. Food. Trucks.
John, you racist bastard --- they are taking the welfare that Americans just won't take.
They are fucking HEROES!!!
Irrelevant, even if true. Scientific studies show diversity is always a good thing, and immigration will make our population more diverse.
#OpenBorders
#NoBanNoWall
#AbolishICE
Actually, the article you're quoting is a lie. Read the report yourself and compare what it says to what they're saying it says.
They quote the report generously complete with graphs and hard numbers such as
In 2014, 63 percent of households headed by a non-citizen reported that they used at least one welfare program, compared to 35 percent of native-headed households.
Welfare use drops to 58 percent for non-citizen households and 30 percent for native households if cash payments from the Earned Income Tax Credit are not counted as welfare. EITC recipients pay no federal income tax. Like other welfare, the EITC is a means-tested, anti-poverty program, but unlike other programs one has to work to receive it.
If you think that is a lie, then show why. Sorry but "this contradicts the narative in my head" isn't persuasive Jerry. I know immigrants are nearly as sacred as Muslims but reality is a harsh mistress.
Maybe you missed Figures 1 & 2.
It's from the Center for Immigration Studies. To use John's word, they are notorious for totally fudging statistics to advance their anti-immigration agenda. In other words, they are full of shit. Here is a Cato critique.
John, find better sources.
Someone siting CATO for immigration facts and then telling other people to find better sources is pretty fucking rich. CATO lies out of their asses all of the time. They are forever using statistics that cover legal immigrants and then claiming it applies to all immigrants legal and illegal.
And their critique here is unsurprisingly complete bullshit. They basically claim that since immigrant headed households may have non immigrant spouses CIS numbers are somehow incorrect. Then they claim that CIS didn't factor in income and since immigrants are poor it is not fair to compare their use of welfare to the rest of the coutnry which is on average richer. Well no shit. That is hte whole point. Immigrants are poor and go on welfare. That is not really a response to CIS's point. It is just making it again.
Then there is this gem
mmigrant welfare usage could be higher but if the value of their benefits is lower then the picture changes. A Cato report from 2013 written by George Washington University Professor Leighton Ku and lead research scientist and lecturer Brian Bruen included both the individual immigrant use rates of welfare programs and the monetary cost. It turns out that when poor immigrants use welfare they consume a lower dollar value than poor natives do.
It costs less to put an immgrant on welfare. So that makes it okay. CATO is a lying sack of shit organization. It may have once had integrity but it no longer has.
Joins the ranks of ACLU.
Basically Chipper, there is no lie no matter how stupid you won't believe provided the lie is told to you by CATO.
Or, you know, you could read the actual point made by the author of the Cato article. I gave you facts and you responded with the genetic fallacy.
From the notoriously open borders Cato link
"There is debate largely over whether to count the American born children of immigrants as a welfare cost of immigration. If we should count them, shouldn't we also count the welfare use of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren of immigrants? "
SMH, It looks like everyone needs to find better sources.
Per the article: "If you are really concerned about immigrant welfare use, you should be in favor of reforming welfare, eliminating it, or building a wall around the welfare state."
I imagine John agrees with this statement
I am very much looking forward to hearing about the benefits of this sort of immigration

Census confirms: 63 percent of 'non-citizens' on welfare, 4.6 million households
Every immigrant is a valadictorian who just wants to drive for Uber and open his own delicious food truck. Reason and Cato assure me of this and they would never lie.
Come on, they CANNOT use welfare. This has been stated, repeatedly, by top men.
John, are YOU a top man? Where do you get off disputing what the toppest of top men say? 🙂
While most new legal immigrants (green card holders) are barred from most welfare programs, as are illegal immigrants and temporary visitors, these provisions have only a modest impact on non-citizen household use rates because: 1) most legal immigrants have been in the country long enough to qualify; 2) the bar does not apply to all programs, nor does it always apply to non-citizen children; 3) some states provide welfare to new immigrants on their own; and, most importantly, 4) non-citizens (including illegal immigrants) can receive benefits on behalf of their U.S.-born children who are awarded U.S. citizenship and full welfare eligibility at birth.
As a subscriber and donating commenter, I'm on board with beating this drum until Nick writes an article, with facts and figures, to discuss why this is a good thing.
He'll delegate it to Shikha.
Someone needs to create an online Shikha-bot, assuming that isn't what we've been reading already.
I'm actually fine with anyone writing it. There was a CATO piece cited above, that refutes some of the claims.
But towards the end, CATO suggests a wall...
"If you are really concerned about immigrant welfare use, you should be in favor of reforming welfare, eliminating it, or building a wall around the welfare state."

Democrats will never allow a shutdown to occur. A Republican will be more likely to make the shutdown not hurt at all, showing the folly of government spending. Democrats take great pride in making shutdowns hurt as much as humanly possible.
Yes, not getting into a park is life altering.
If someone is in the park when a shutdown happens, can they get out?
One of the only things that Steve King ever did that I respect was during the shutdown when Obama had all the National Mall parks barricaded up. One of those Honor Flights (where they gather a bunch of veterans and fly them all to DC to visit the memorials) arrived during that time and found out they were unable to access the WWII Memorial. Steve King and some other rep went down and distracted the park police while the vets removed the barricades and let them all in. Think that set up the SOP for the other Honor Flights headed that way, park police weren't going to stop them.
It's like you haven't even been paying attention for the last 40 years ...
Hide, deny, spin, threaten: How the school district tried to mask failures that led to Parkland shooting
For months, Broward schools delayed or withheld records, refused to publicly assess the role of employees, spread misinformation and even sought to jail reporters who published the truth.
New information gathered by the South Florida Sun Sentinel proves that the school district knew far more than it's saying about a disturbed former student obsessed with death and guns who mowed down staff and students with an assault rifle on Valentine's Day.
NYT said it was Trump and the NRA that killed those kids. How dare you interject fake news into this!

Postrel finally looks into the Libertarian abyss and doesn't like what she sees. we should not confuse what the market values at a given point in time with what is meritorious Really Virginia, do tell.
Markets are not perfect. We know this. Humans are strange economic cats.
For example, Chelsea Handler keeps getting shows despite her sucking beyond belief. Merit sometimes has nothing to do with it.
Sometimes it's just good old plain luck.
If it were always about merit, Billy Joe Shaver would have gotten his dues.
Adam Smith heartily agrees. He noted that different markets respond to different demands, not all of them economic.

But you conservatives are so devoid of talent. Who the conservative would get a show? Lee Greenwood or Ted Nugent?
face it - you suck.
noooo, it's been clearly established that Chelsea Handler sucks.
I have no idea why anyone knows who she is. She is not an actress. She is not a model or particularly attractive. She seems to have managed to get famous by being a drunken whore and writing a book about it. Why being a garden variety drunken whore warrents beign a celebrity is a mystery that even Handler herself likely doesn't understand.
you clearly missed the reference to the golf ball/garden hose, or was it the chrome off a trailer hitch...hmmm
Being a whore has always led to fame (for a lucky/unlucky few). Mary Magdalene, Madame du Barry, Heidi Fleiss... Seems to be in human nature to celebrate the best/most notorious of any profession no matter what it is.
Mary Magdalene was not a whore. That is a myth made up by Renassaince artists who wanted to project their sexual fantasies onto their religious paintings.

That's actually her MO for getting those shows greenlit.
Libertarians and classical liberals know and care about government. They know and care economics. They don't know or care about culture.
Why would she write something so dumb and unaware and then expect anyone to read further?
You have to consider the circles Postrel runs in. I have no doubt the people around her either don't know or care about culture or more likely take it as a given fact that only they know or care about culture and no one else on the right does.
To a certain extent, though, she's not wrong. Advocating for unlimited immigration is the epitome of being autistically focused on economic concerns. Most libertarians in Postrel's inner circle couldn't care less if most of the country turned into a barrio/favela as long as 1) they didn't have to live in those places, and 2) the GDP kept going up. They don't have a clue about how culture, rather than economics, defines and shapes a civilization, and would be utterly baffled when the entire structure ultimately collapsed around them. Ironically, they're a lot like Marxists in that sense.
That's just about the most ridiculous assertion one can present.
It's a variation of 'libertarians or conservatives lack compassion and hate poor people'.
thought it was more like an intense dislike or aversion, mostly due to the smell and the vermin
Have you ever seen a libertarian at an art gallery show or wine tasting? I thought so. They just don't care about culture.
I thought they'd go for the free wine.

Could be 100% true. Maybe the difference it makes, is increased respect of authoritay?
An increase in spending is a difference from before, so yeah.
No such thing as voter fraud, clearly.
I don't know if this was done by Republicans or Democrats. This is just the usual bullshit that our comically lax voting rules permit.
No more early voting. Documented legitimate need for absentee ballots. No same day registration. You vote on election day ONLY.
What is wrong with early voting when you have a computer system tracking who has voted?
WHAT IS 'BALLOT HARVESTING,' AND HOW DID CALIFORNIA DEMS USE IT TO NUKE THE GOP?
Before its passage, a group opposed to the bill wrote: "AB 1921 would allow anybody to walk into an elections office and hand over truckloads of vote by mail envelopes with ballots inside, no questions asked, no verified records kept. It amounts to an open invitation to large-scale vote buying, voter coercion, "granny farming", and automated forgery. AB 1921 solves no problem that a simple stamp can't solve."
Asians should remember that Democrats stole an election from Young Kim in California.

Um, white nationalists have been around in Europe much longer than they have in the US, and the social democratic safety net that you and your fellow progressives want so badly here, with its paid family leave, free education, and single-payer healthcare can only be maintained by limiting the number of people they let into their utopias. Which is what the protestors are really protesting, the ruling elite who know better than the deplorables what's for their own good. It's not just a gas tax hike, it's the gas tax hike and so much more aimed at curbing global warming by making the peasants suffer for the sinful, sinful ways they make Mother Earth cry.
The movement started when people started destroying speed cameras. It seems to be a real grassroots revolt against the elites and the nanny state. But I was informed on here yesterday that since they demanded an increase in the minimum wage they entire thing is just a bunch of socialists who can be dismissed accordingly.
Has anyone tried to link the yellow vests to Putin yet? Because, ya know, we are all supposed to worship our elite know-betters and never question what is for our own good. So the Russians must be instigating this, because the French have always been obedient serfs.
If Slate, Salon or Vox hasn't written that article, I am sure someone is working on it now.
Only took how many mentions by you, John, for Reason to comment on the event?
I mean, this is THE Libertarian revolt. Reason should be neck deep in this.
"France is postponing a planned hike in fuel taxes after weeks of intense protests."
Macron is capitulating to rioters! How dare he take the people he's lording over into consideration. What's the point of being elitist if you capitulate to . . . the people?
To my fellow environmentalists--not the watermelon phonies but the real ones--a carbon tax will never go over with the people unless you offset it with other tax cuts and spending cuts. Eliminate the income tax at the same time you introduce a carbon tax and you might have something--but has it ever happened anywhere in the world, from Australia to France, that the people have accepted a punitive carbon tax that forces them to sacrifice their standard of living for climate change? Is there any reason to think any free society will ever accept such a thing?
There are a small number of elitists who are willing to sacrifice their standard of living for climate change. For everyone else, if you want them to change their behavior, you have to offer them something better than what they have already--or they'll just keep what they already have. This is why change always depends on persuasion. As Macron shows, even use the coercive power of government can't be used to inflict change in a representative democracy if the people haven't been persuaded to accept them.
I'll accept a carbon tax, but you have to offer me something better in return. You can start by giving us a balanced budget amendment and eliminating the income tax, the tax on corporate profits, and the capital gains tax. Any socialist who wouldn't sacrifice those taxes to save the planet isn't really an environmentalist, and any libertarian who wouldn't accept a balanced budget and the elimination of our most socialist, redistributive forms of taxation--for what would amount to a sales tax--isn't a real capitalist.
I'm sure the Teamsters would gladly embrace a carbon tax.
A C tax is stupid because C is not a problem. Nor is CO2.
The question for me isn't whether carbon dioxide is a problem.
It's whether overspending, socialist taxation, and big government are a problem.
If the real environmentalists will help us solve those definitely problems in exchange for a carbon tax, we should do that deal.
If creating conflict and confusion between socialists and environmentalists on the left is all offering such a grand bargain would accomplish, well, I'm not sure there's a downside to that either. Marginalizing socialists is an end in itself.
If there ever is a carbon tax here, you can bet that the jet-setters will make sure they can still jet, and dump it all on Bubba and his F350.
Yeah, the people who can afford to pay the tax will still do so--just like Warren Buffet calling for a hike in income taxes on the wealthy.
Bubba and his F350 may still benefit mightily from not having to file income taxes, not having to worry so much about government spending, etc.
Bubba and his F350 will certainly benefit mightily from small government, and when we're talking about slashing taxes and spending, what we're talking about is small government.
Let's not let this "crisis" go to waste.
There are a small number of elitists who are willing to sacrifice their standard of living for climate change.
No, no, not THEIR standard of living, OUR standard of living. There's a huge difference.
The self-appointed kings in the new global feudalism they're desperately trying to implement have absolutely no intention whatsoever of ever giving up their multiple multimillion-dollar mansions around the world, their private jets, their helicopters, or their bulletproof limos complete with police escort.
I'm sure Ken has a list of those self sacrificing liberals. Charles, Prince of Whales, Leo Decapitated, Manbearpig, and the O'Bamas, for starters.
Here is the exhaustive list:
Ed Begley, Jr.
I'm talking about everyday people, mostly, who really are willing to make sacrifices in their daily lives for climate change. These are people who pay a premium to buy a hybrid over what they'll save in costs on gas. These are people who shop at Whole Foods and pay premiums for all sorts of things because they're supposedly easy on the environment. Yes, there are people who give 10% of their income to their local church because they care, and there are people who willingly make sacrifices on behalf of the environment. That's not hard to believe at all.
The question for environmentalists is how to get the people who aren't willingly making those sacrifices on board.
My libertarian argument is through argument and persuasion. The only thing people have to fear from my environmentalism is that I might change their minds.
The socialist, progressive, authoritarian argument is by using the coercive power of government to inflict solutions on the unwilling. Yes, there are plenty of people out there who are both willing to make sacrifices of their own--and willing to use the coercive power of government to force your sacrifices, too. Macron is feeling the brunt of that strategy right now. My point is that the authoritarian strategy is both morally unacceptable and ineffective. It's provoked the same reaction everywhere it's been implemented with enough size and force to require people to change their behavior.
In fact, it's worse than ineffective. It's counterproductive. The force argument is so counterproductive, it's actually persuaded some people that no one makes willing sacrifices because they care about the environment. Believe me. I've seen people who believe that.
Another great insight from Ian Millhiser, the Justice Editor at ThinkProgress: For the record, Barack Obama is the most qualified person in the country to be president. But we won't let him because of a stupid constitutional amendment that shouldn't exist.
When I list my favorite 2020 candidates like Harris, Gillibrand, and Warren, I don't mention Obama because of the dumb rule saying he can't serve a third term. But if we got rid of that pointless restriction Obama would immediately rise to the top. In fact it's one of my greatest regrets that I was never able to vote for him (wasn't quite old enough in 2012).
#LibertariansForFDRLengthPresidencies
You really are an idiot-OBL. If we allowed FDR-length presidencies, do you think Obama would have even been elected? My guess is that Bill Clinton would have found a way to still be president now.
Ronald Reagan's corpse could beat KKKlinton!
New here?
The term limits should have stayed intact until progressives found someone they really liked. It's only fair.
We could have ourselves a King, but we won't because of a stupid Constitution that shouldn't exist. Note that I only want that if I agree with the King-to-be. Otherwise I want him removed because his election was tainted. But elections are sacrosanct and we must accept the results of elections. Unless my side loses, then I mean the opposite.
How does anybody - one single person - take this guy seriously?
And note that the only reason the amendment existed in the first place was because that megalomaniac FDR couldn't bring himself to give up power. A president who single-handedly ended a tradition begun by Washington, who could have easily been re-elected for life, because he didn't want Americans to get comfortable with having a king-like chief executive.
"George H.W. Bush "was the right leader for the end stages of the Cold War, but wrong for the challenges that came after," writes James Antle at The American Conservative."
I don't know who this guy is, and I don't know what he's written in this article--but if the headline is any indication, he's ignoring Bush Sr's greatest achievements and legacy.
For the hundredth time, the Uruguay Round of GATT, which brought us the WTO, brought China's economy online, and, along with NAFTA, made sure that free trade (rather than the iron curtains of communism) would be the aftermath of the Cold War.
George H.W. Bush was responsible for both NAFTA and the Uruguay Round of GATT. Those are his achievements. To the extent that the U.S. and the world has enjoyed the benefits of free trade in the aftermath of the Cold War, it is largely due to the efforts of George H. W. Bush--and any "conservative" who wants to write about the aftermath of the Cold War but doesn't understand that probably isn't worth reading.
He triggered decades of US war in the Middle East.
No he didn't. We attacked Iraq thru Kuwait in January of 1991, The war lasted about 6 weeks. By 1992, we were gone except for a presence in Saudi Arabia. We weren't involved in Middle Eastern wars again until after 9/11, basically a decade later.
It's astonishing how frequently people are confusing Bush 1 and Bush 2.
I'm not saying there weren't any downsides, or that he didn't make any mistakes. I'm saying that the extent to which the world after the Cold War has been favorable to the U.S. economy, it has largely been as a result of trade agreements that he initiated and negotiated. Cementing the fall of communism after the Cold War was about that trade.
That being said, Bush Sr. actively chose not to topple the Saddam Hussein regime and occupy Iraq, so he's not to blame for his son doing that afterward. Because he refused to follow through on a war in the name of it not being worth the cost to the U.S. (in terms of both treasure and lives) and for strategic reasons means we shouldn't blame him for what followed.
Bush Jr. actively decided to throw all those cautions to the wind, and he's to blame for whatever consequences of that decision.
I think Joe Biden of Delaware via Scranton, PA may have just thrown his hairplugs into the ring.
Like any good Koch / Reason libertarian I'll of course be voting for whoever wins the Democratic nomination. Biden isn't my first choice though. I'd prefer a candidate who belongs to one or more marginalized groups. We don't need yet another straight white able-bodied cis-male.
If he does run, he'll have a far better shot at winning than Lady MacClinton. Unlike her and Obama's base of effete urbanite cubicle drones, Biden's an old-school Democrat who doesn't hate blue-collar workers.
Dow -200 today because The Dotard just said "I am a tariff man".
This is the worst economic news since Sam's Club closed a bunch of stores.
#DrumpfRecession
Well, if Sam's Club can't make it here what do you do?
You know, The Dotard did say the US was a shithole and only he personally would make us great again.
#TheDotardSaysMakeSamsClubGreatAgain
Yeah. And he inherited the amazing Obama economy and immediately ruined it just like Paul Krugman predicted. Now things are so bad, even a low unemployment rate is bad news because it just means everybody is working two jobs to make ends meet, as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez explained.
No, things are pretty much the same as they were 3 years ago.
GDP, UE, CPI, all in trendlines.
The deficit is a lot bigger though.
"No, things are pretty much the same as they were 3 years ago."
So that would mean your posts decrying Trump's economic policies are pretty much pointless.
Jesus Christ you are stupid. It is amazing Media Matters pays you to post shit this stupid. Can't they get you better talking points or do you just ignore them and post your own retarded shit despite their pleas not to do so?
I am quoting CNBC, you retard.
The quote and the Dow losses are all over the TV screen. You should watch the news sometime and get out of that wingnut bubble you live in.
The talking points Media Matters is giving you are retarded. The calls are coming from inside the house appearently.

"I am quoting CNBC, you retard.

Yeah, you and the other TDS victims screaming about a .000001% loss. One hundredth of one percent and you are tearing your hair out.
Fuck off, you pathetic excuse for a human being.

"Dow -200 today because The Dotard just said "I am a tariff man".
Pick them cherries, you lefty scumbag: That's 100/th of 1%.
You wish your trading got anywhere close to that successful.
No mention of the 400+ gain yesterday?
Yes, that was due to his "deal" with the Commies.
People are figuring out that there is no deal. Its just more bullshit from him.
But still 200 points ahead.
Math is racist.
Turd is never honest.
DOW Jones

Shut up Buttplugger. You're stupid propaganda ploys dont work here.
People are prone to believing contradictory things at the same time. It's amazing.
The latest example has to do with the stories I'm hearing about central Americans stuck in Tijuana and Mexicali and not able to get across the border--even while people tell me that building a wall is completely ineffective.
Both of those things can't be true.
They claim that building the wall is completely ineffective and then scream at how unjust and unfair building it would be.
I wonder if The Dotard will spit on Bush's casket at the funeral.
You know - shore up his "base".
Maybe he could even punch ol' 41 when he walks by.
He salluted it you miserable fuck.
I would be ok if everyone did that for any warmonger.
Trump has killed more people than Bush 1.
No he hasn't. The US inflicted over 100,000 combat deaths on the Iraqi military in the first gulf war. I know you are stupid Tony. But Trump has managed to drive you to the point of just being insane. You live in this fantasy world more so than you did before. They have meds for that kind of thing. Try getting some and be sure to take them unlike you fellow Prog shreek who just sells his to buy crack.
If only you would get slowly run over by one of the caissons.
Or better yet, ALL of the caissons.
You were certainly punched in the head as an infant, you stupid hicklib.
Excellent.
I'm a fan of Coventry... and I don't think there's anything particularly unlibertarian about the idea - if it were implemented correctly.
