De Niro and Biden Latest Targets of Suspected Pipe Bombs: Reason Roundup
Some conservatives are calling it a political stunt cooked up by Democrats. Democrats blame Trump's rhetoric. Trump blames the media.
Suspected pipe bombs intercepted en route to Robert de Niro and Joe Biden. An eighth explosive was reportedly found Thursday morning, this one on its way to actor Robert de Niro in New York City. Not long after, it was announced that a ninth suspected bomb was discovered on its way to former Vice President Joe Biden in Delaware, a claim since confirmed by the FBI.
Since Tuesday, suspected mail bombs have been sent to George Soros, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters (in both Los Angeles and D.C.), and former CIA Director John Brennan via the CNN offices. All were intercepted without incident.
The package sent to Brennan's office came with a popular meme image that resembles the ISIS flag but with the Arabic characters replaced by mudflap girls and the words "Get Er Done."

The Clinton and Obama packages listed Florida Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the return address. Schultz herself had a suspicious package sent to her Sunrise, Florida, office, though it had actually been addressed to former Attorney General Eric Holder. But Holder's address was written wrong, causing it to rebound to the return address ascribed to the representative.
For a while on Wednesday, it was hard to keep up with the rumored mail bombs, several of which turned out not to exist. Reports of pipe bombs bound for the San Diego Union-Tribune, the White House, and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo were false.
Trump has taken the opportunity to cast blame on the incivility and negativity of the media. This morning, Trump tweeted:
A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News. It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 25, 2018
And at a rally in Wisconsin yesterday, he said:
The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories. They've gotta stop. Bring people together.
Of course, many have been leveling the same charge against Trump, saying it's his vitriol toward journalists and Democrats that inspired these acts.

And then we've got folks from Turning Point USA's Candace Owens, to radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage, suggesting or saying outright that this is all a stunt set in motion by liberals.

Thankfully, there are some trying to remind everyone that indeed, "this is not normal"—even in polarized and vitriolic times like ours, we're still seeing a fraction of the bombings and political violence we saw in the 1970s and other decades prior.
It may be hard to believe on a day like today, but between Jan 1969 and Oct 1970, New York was the site of 370 bombings, more than one every other day. https://t.co/tRrgZuysOL

A statement from the FBI explained that:
The packages were mailed in manila envelopes with bubble wrap interior. The packages were affixed with computer-printed address labels and six Forever stamps. All packages had a return address of "DEBBIE WASSERMAN SHULTZ" [sic] in Florida. Packages identified to date were addressed to:

Never do mail order from Clock Boy.
Hello.
The charge that it can be a false flag is not crazy. It does happen in history.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag
Play close attention to 'pseudo-operations'.
I suppose the timing is interesting. Why now? A rational player would calculate this action could hurt his side, no?
Admitted false flags:
https://bit.ly/2Jj4luc
I suppose the timing is interesting. Why now?
Obviously to distract from the *caravans*, DUH! Obviously it's the Guatemalan government!
CAN ANYONE MULTI-TASK ANYMORE!?
The media cant. The caravan is not delivering more outrage, so fake bombs were the Lefty Plan B.
sacrificed Megyn Kelly today too.
I suppose the timing is interesting. Why now? A rational player would calculate this action could hurt his side, no?
Admitted false flags:
https://bit.ly/2Jj4luc
I find your list's lack of poop swastikas and broken glass coffee tables disturbing.
You are talking about someone who mailed piped bombs, probably can throw "rational" out the window
Yeah, I would never put a canister full of explosive fuel into a mailbox. 😉
A charge of false flag operations is crazy. There is no evidence at all to back it. It's one thing to sit around and do armchair speculation, and quite another to go around convincing oneself and others that pure speculation is true.
There is more evidence of a false flag than of sincere intent to inflict harm.
All the devices were duds. Every single one of them.
Made in such a way that they could not detonate.
The evidence we currently have is that a bunch of fake bombs were sent in the mail.
Came here to look for this. Duds implies false flag.
A less likely strategy would be sending duds and then real bombs to catch people off guard but that seems stupid since total surprise would probably work better. People are on watch for bombs now.
the evidence is the mail was delivered.
Not without proper postage! No way a bulky-ass package like that gets delivered for 6 Forever stamps. No cancelation either. No proof at all these non-bomb dildo-like items went through the mail.
And Elizabeth N.B., these "bombs" are not suspected of anything, so stop calling them suspected bombs. "Suspicious dildo-like items" is the proper terminology.
Have a link?
"A charge of false flag operations is crazy."
That could be the most moronic take ever.
Really? Not throwing speculation around as if it were truth is craziness?
Well if you said, any kind of speculation, when we don't know anything about the bomber is crazy, I would agree with you.
But when you single out one side of the speculation side as crazy, you undermine your own argument.
What other side of speculation? I was just responding to Rufus use of the word, "charge", in his post above.
A charge of "false flag" is premature, but it should not be dismissed as a reasonable possibility.
Lots of other possibilities exist until there's more evidence. The cui bono argument doesn't point exclusively to a false flag: this could be the work of an incompetent white nationalist in a hurry, a mischievous foreign government, a politically sophisticated Islamic terrorist, or a random lunatic.
Sure. It is a possibility to consider, but is premature, as you say.
The reason I replied to Rufus' comment, which was hard to type into my cell phone, is this:
When Republicans or Democrats say or do things that are crazy, out of line, uncivil, etc. we libertarians criticize them because nobody on the Red or Blue team calls out their own team members when they go too far.
So, we libertarians should call out our own team members when they are, for instance, throwing around conspiracy theories without any basis in evidence.
That team members never call out or police their own side is one of the most lamentable aspects of America's political climate.
"A charge of false flag operations is crazy. There is no evidence at all to back it."
The fact that the return address was Debbie Wasserman Schultz isn't evidence of a false flag operation?
Why shouldn't she be a suspect in this?
You're joking, I assume, but I'll give a serious (and obvious) answer: anybody can write anything on a return label.
It's better evidence than anything they had against Kavanaugh.
How is Kavanaugh relevant in figuring out who is behind mailing these bombs?
Why are you calling them bombs? What's your evidence that they are capable of exploding?
Yeah, okay, well, I don't mind. I'll not call them bombs, you know, whatever you don't want me to call them. Or I won't call them anything at all if you don't want me to call them anything, you know. Whatever it is that'll please you, I'll do it.
All the trolls have logged in today to clutter the threads.
I'll just go ahead and call it. The feds should start looking around Maxine Waters' staff or de Niro's staff. The why is simple; they are the two odd-balls on the list who only have power in their own minds. Seriously, not Warren, Schumer, or Pelosi? Hell, I'd imagine Jimmy Kimmel would get one before either Max or Bob.
Hmm, maybe they got together over a bowl of crack and tequila and hatched their plan in a few seconds of lucidity as the crack was running out.
The package sent to Brennan's office came with a popular meme image that resembles the ISIS flag but with the Arabic characters replaced by mudflap girls and the words "Get Er Done."
Viral marketing for the next Blue Collar Comedy Tour.
Remember when CNN breathlessly broke the news that an ISIS flag was flying at a London gay pride parade when it was an ISIS parody flag made up of dildos? Bwahahahaw!
So it was false flag operation.

The packages were mailed in manila envelopes with bubble wrap interior.
Dumb. The bubble wrap would have absorbed the entire blast.
If only Adam and Jamie were still busting myths. That would be a nice thing to test.
Press reports indicate that the "pipe bombs" were a "1-inch-by-6-inch length of PVC pipe filled with suspected pyrotechnic powder and broken glass to serve as shrapnel."
You might just be correct: the suspected pyrotechnic powder is probably ordinary flash powder (at worst) and the PVC would no doubt fail before the suspected pyrotechnic powder's detonation would build up the sort of pressure that a steel pipe bomb would attain before exploding.
NYT: "They had a small button battery with a digital clock as a timer and a hot bridge wire initiator, the official said."
I just connected a new, fairly large button battery with copper wire and it failed to generate a temperature that I think would be required to detonate anything. I'm no expert on such things, but I do know that the FBI mock-up of Ted Kazinsky's bombs had four 9-volt cells.
Another reported characteristic of the "pipe bombs" is that they were connected to a timer, not a trigger. This is very peculiar, and it suggests that the bombs were not intended to blow any body up but only to generate public anxiety and a media free-for-all.
NYT also reported that "The devices contained some of the components that would be required to build an operable bomb, but law enforcement officials would not say late on Wednesday whether they were viable."
The perpetrator isn't a Ted Kazinsky or Eric Rudolph: he's either incompetent or has other ends in mind than blowing people up. If there's a shred of competence and integrity in the BATF, the Secret Service, and the FBI, this should be settled pretty quickly.
Why can't the guy just put some dog hair into the politicians' dryer at the laundromat like normal Hackensack residents do?

God bless that man.
There is no God.
Any but the most paltry god would despise Donald Trump and be ashamed of involvement with him, perhaps to the point of a divine suicide driven by guilt.
Pretty sanctimonious and unforgiving for a reverend, eh? It must be terrible carrying as much anger and disdain as you seem to. I can understand why you're so miserable all the time.
"There is no God"
No one cares what you were screeching when you lost to Trump.
An eighth explosive
Has it been settled that the devices have actual explosive material in them?
Uh, they wouldn't report them as explosives if that wasn't the case, now would they.
Yea, I'd bet the media would call something that looked like an explosive an explosive w/o bothering about what is inside. Do we know what, TNT, etc, was inside?
Seriously, the FBI needs to make this information public. Were these really bombs?
You want them to taint their investigation by giving out facts???
lol, are we talking about the same FBI? The US FBI? lol.
No, we are talking about taints.
Taint we?
You're gonna taint this whole thread.
NYT reports that it is "suspected pyrotechnic powder".
In other words, maybe it's flash powder or maybe just some gray dust.
Right. Just like they wouldn't say than a terrorist attack on an embassy aas caused by a Youtube video.
Stupid fuck.
Stupid like a fox.
*Bubble wrap*, Johnny. Please try to keep up.
Be glad that one was not a Snuke with Hillary wrapped in bubble wrap and insufficient postage.
No, still listed as suspected pipe bomb by more respectable journalists. Wondering how long they will find ways to delay reporting they are fakes? But then putting bombs in quotes doesn't get as many hits or push the agenda as hard.
Even in a piece attempting to add clarity, The New York Times uses the terms "sex," "gender," and "gender identity" interchangeably.
"It's a mixed up world."
They can't even keep their commenters in line.
I gotta say, Trump made a brilliant tactical move going after the transgender cult. Giving them plenty of rope to hang themselves with.

? Catherine Rampell (@crampell) October 24, 2018
That's how the president declassifies information.
It's 0-D checkers. Trump used insecure phones because he knew that his public image of being a doofus would lull the Russians and Chinese into thinking they had tapped into something really important; meanwhile, he was dropping false clues left right and center. But he knew the Russians and Chinese would expect Trump's security team to figure it out sooner or later, so he got some aid to "leak" this latest tidbit about Trump ignoring warnings, just to confirm the Russians and Chinese in their low opinion of Trump. Meanwhile he continues to leak false info to them luke the genius he is.
I'm no mathematician, but I'm having a hard time picturing zero dimensions. I think we would just call that non-existence?
Mathematically, zero dimensions is a point, not non-existence. It's possible that your entire body is ultimately made up of zero-dimensional particles (quarks and electrons might be zero radius), and yet you still exist.
One Nation, Two Economies
The Bay Area economy, for example, depends on noncitizens for as much as 40 percent of its workforce, including relatively cheap, work-visa-shackled, latter-day indentured servants from Asia. This explains why Trump's travel ban and other, often crude or insufficiently justified moves on immigration have helped transform Silicon Valley into a one-party political goldmine. This software-dominated economy, along with its cousins in Hollywood and finance, also is far less exposed to regulatory excesses than firms in manufacturing, home-building, or energy.
The tangible and ephemeral economies create distinct political trajectories. In Texas or Tennessee, for example, working-class people can get decent jobs and aspire to homeownership and other aspects of middle-class life. Historically, Democrats and Republicans in these regions favored robust economic growth, battling mainly over how to achieve it. But today, a pro-growth bipartisan consensus is increasingly elusive, as Democrats adopt the environmental and lifestyle preferences of their often childless urban base. Superstar firebrands like Democratic congressional aspirant Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can talk about going on a war footing to fight global warming because there's not much industry left in her district in Queens and the Bronx. Coastal California's mild climate makes high energy prices tolerable. In the more conservative and blue-collar Inland Empire, or on the other side of the Sierra Nevadas, high energy costs pose an existential threat.
All politics is local.
The Lefty elite also keep low income housing as far from them as politically possible.
There are no California projects that have great views of the Pacific Ocean. That's prime real estate!
Which is why "Build the Wall" is not a very coherent response to the situation.
Vox: Some psychiatrists believe we could save tens of thousands of lives a year with a very simple, low-cost intervention: putting small amounts of lithium into our drinking water, the way we put fluoride in to protect our teeth.
Or in ice cream, Mandrake.
The Red Coats are coming.
Purity of essence!
Isnt the "some say" or "some believe" rhetorical trick usually reserved for setting up a strawman you'll soon be knocking down?
Only to be followed by bromide. For our own good.
Or G-23 Paxilon Hydrochlorate.
What could go wrong?
A year from now, ten, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave.
Lithium causes significant weight gain.
Maybe they already do it? Would explain the coincidence of lower crime and increased obesity.
likely they already do it and are just floating is as a "hey what if?" to see if we go pitchforks about it
Never saw that flag before - that's awesome. Who ever send the pipe bombs is an unhinged and deprived individual. I wouldn't be surprised if the perp was a lefty or a righty.
No such thing as a righty with a screw loose. Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey is a saying for a reason.

Why does the fact that a whore can be far more successful than you get you so worked up? Surely you aren't as jealous as your post shows you to be.
All were intercepted without incident.
How? As has been pointed out in the blogosphere, apparently they had not been through the mail system as evidenced by insufficient postage and lack of cancellation.
The bomb maker didnt create bombs that exploded but only superficially looked like actual explosive devices.
The devices didn't conform to Hollywood standards as the clock wasn't red.
(I'm not even starting to ask why a mailbomb needs a clock and why it should be visible)
Only the ones that were intercepted without incident were intercepted without incident.
All the others (for all we know, millions of 'em) were just chucked in the trash, undiscovered by the press and so even less important than the ones creating the media circus.
Suspected pipe bombs intercepted en route to Robert de Niro and Joe Biden.
Has Trump offered to pay the legal fees of his terror squad like he did in his campaign?
"Has Trump offered to pay the legal fees of his terror squad like he did in his campaign?"
Maybe he should just do what Dictator Bernout and the Regressive Regime did; encourage violence and then whine that it's everyone else that their followers are a bunch of chair-hurling Communist goons who hold violent riots against free speech because they were "incited" by hearing things that go against their petty little totalitarian beliefs.
Aren't you supposed to be up someone's ass right now?
I assure you, Trump's terror squad is getting legal coverage, medical, dental, life insurance, and $20/hr right now. They're training for the 1 am raids that'll drag your ass off to Russian-operated workcamps in Alaska.

That's the official stance from the White House? That the president doesn't look at intelligence all that often? That's found in an official release somewhere?
Are you sure you want him knowing all that stuff? Maybe this is the best course.
No doubt, but just because it's believable and maybe desirable doesn't make it true. I'd like to know these things being reported to be are credibly sourced.
I heard he heckles the guy giving his morning briefing and throws tomatoes at him
"I'd like to know these things being reported to be are credibly sourced."
Sadly, with the modern media, you have to doubt such things.
... but it's OK, say his staff, because he rarely reads intelligence briefings anyway.
i have little to no interest in 4d chess Trump theories, BUT! is it at all possible bad info is leaked and then refuted continuing the clearly successful trump strategy of having a constant foe in the media?
Reports of pipe bombs bound for the San Diego Union-Tribune, the White House, and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo were false.
Wait. Is *that* false news?
"Yes, that was real fake news, not to be confused in any way with Donald Trump's fake fake news."
-The scum in the media
Of course, many have been leveling the same charge against Trump, saying it's his vitriol toward journalists and Democrats that inspired these acts.
Which triggered first, the chicken or the egg?
Considering the Day Trump announced he was going to run for office the media immediately that day called him an insane crazy nazi racist. true or not the4y did start it of course they also called Reagan & Bush & BushII and McCain & the other republican a Nazi so its not out of the norms for the media to be filled with hate, Trump is just the first one to call them out on it
Remember when they called Mitt Romney a crazed racist that was fear mongering over Russian's? No? Me neither...
Of course, many have been leveling the same charge against Trump, saying it's his vitriol toward journalists and Democrats that inspired these acts.
they also may think some in the media, like fox news, have bad tone worth criticizing but its possible when they hear trump say "the media" they think he's excluding fox news. which he may be for all i know, but its not what he's saying.
And then we've got folks from Turning Point USA's Candace Owens, to radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage, suggesting or saying outright that this is all a stunt set in motion by liberals.

"That right-wing bitch just wouldn't shut up!"
The study defines "right-wing extremism" as "violence in support of the belief that personal and/or national way of life is under attack and is either already lost or that the threat is imminent," including anti-globalism, white supremacy, nationalism, suspicion of the government, and beliefs in conspiracies.
Sound definition.
Suspicious of the government is considered extremely right wing, huh?
Man, every single one of those qualifications are vaguely ominous sounding things that apply to almost everyone.
Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk, ice cream? Ice cream, Mandrake? Children's ice cream!...You know when fluoridation began?
Why are you telling us about the studies in which you are a subject?
I mean, it explains why you constantly lie and flatly refuse to pay your bet, but no one really cares.
Your comment doesn't address my comment in any way.
So Hillary Clinton is part of the vast right-wing conspiracy now?
But when Leftists astroturf yet another violent riot designed to shut down all criticism of them and encourage their psychopathic followers to murder politicians, they're "going high".
"the belief that personal and/or national way of life is under attack"
By this definition literally anyone concerned about any thing is a right wing extremist:
Want to end the drug war? Right wing extremist
Angry about changes to title IX? Right wing extremist
Scared of Kavanaugh overturning Roe v Wade? Right wing extremist
Hate charter schools? Right wing extremist
^this guy has it pegged.
"The study defines "right-wing extremism" as "violence in support of the belief that personal and/or national way of life is under attack and is either already lost or that the threat is imminent," "
So Antifa has been classified as right-wing extremists? Ok, it figures.

All Lefties or Lefty wannabes.
We told your dumb ass that McVeigh was an anti-Clinton, anti-government wingnut yesterday.
Rewriting history to own the libs!!!!
Is it the anti Clinton part or the anti government part that makes him right wing?
And he was only "anti-Clinton' because Clinton burned all of those people to death.
Exactly. McVeigh was not sufficiently outraged when Bush Sr sicced the bureaucratic machine on people and ground them up in the system or they were killed by police.
"WAHHH THINGS I IMAGINE MAGICALLY MAKE IT OKAY FOR CLINTON TO BURN WOMEN AND CHILDREN ALIVE!"
I would just like a working definition here for what is Right-Wing. It's one of the most insipid points of non-sense here. Everyone has a different idea, no one agrees, they still argue around it without resolving that core issue.
anti-Janet
Oh poor Buttplugger gets ignored for nonsense...again.
Poor Buttplugger does not understand that there are people who are always against every government, those against Democrat government, those against Republican governments, and those against bureaucrats that order the murder of Koresh followers and Neo-Nazis in Idaho.
Why would an American 'patriot' like McVeigh want to avenge Neo-Nazis and cult members by murdering kids?
"and those against bureaucrats that order the murder of Koresh followers and Neo-Nazis in Idaho."
There you go again. Randy Weaver and his wife were not Neo-Nazis.
Weaver was approached at a 1986 Aryan Nations rally by ATF informant Kenneth Faderley (posing as a biker named Gus Magisono) who was investigating Weaver's friend Frank Kumnick. Faderley presented himself as an illegal firearms dealer from New Jersey. Faderley met Weaver again at the 1987 World Congress. Weaver skipped the 1988 Aryan Nations meeting and ran as a candidate for county sheriff (and lost)
-wikipedia
I always attend multiple meetings of a Lefty racist hate group to see if I am compatible ideologically.
Bullshieeeet! You are not fooling anyone.
Weaver was invited to the meeting by an ATF undercover agent who was trying to find someone he could get to be an informant on the Aryan Nation. He and his wife decided to go primarily to give their children an outlet to socialize (with the kids of the other attendees). He went to a couple of meetings, didn't like their supremacist philosophy, and quit going. So the ATF conjured up the weapons thing to try to leverage him to continue to attend and inform. He declined, there was a mixup related to his trial date for the weapons charge that led to him failing to appear, and the FBI sent in the snipers. So, no, Weaver was not a Neo-Nazi.
And now the Aryan Nation is left-wing too? Goddamn you're an idiot.
That is not what the info says. Why would an informant pick weaver out of all the people in the area? The informant picked Weaver after he had gone to meetings because he was new is what the agent has said.
You are being moronic.
Feel free to cite stuff to convince others of your nonsense.
Until then, Neo-Nazis are Lefties and Socialists. They want to rule and control everything. Nazis HAVE ruled and controlled the economy inside their borders at one time or another.
The Aryan nation wants to run everything based on white power. Just because they cannot pull it off does not make them any less Socialist.
BTW: I still am against the FBI sniper murder and general fascist federal tactics against the Weavers even when the Weavers were white power shitheads.
And it's been explained to you and your many equally fucking idiotic alta that McVeigh was an ecoterrorist who can barely be distinguished from Al Gore.
"And it's been explained to you and your many equally fucking idiotic alta that McVeigh was an ecoterrorist who can barely be distinguished from Al Gore."
Quotes from letters that McVeigh wrote:
"Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate promises, they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement...Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight".
"It is a lie if we tell ourselves that the police can protect us everywhere at all times. Firearms restrictions are bad enough, but now a woman can't even carry Mace in her purse?"
"Go ahead, take everything I own; take my dignity. Feel good as your grow fat and rich at my expense; sucking my tax dollars and property".
"The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times...I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful, and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control."
Yeah, an ecoterrorist who can barely be distinguished from Al Gore. LOL.
No citations. Bevis needs McVeigh to be anything but Left-wing.
Fine, dumbass.

So these are well-sourced quotes that support bevis's position, and which lc has made clear he is not familiar with. Normally this would sway my opinion toward accepting bevis's position based on its coherency and comportment with literally everything else about McVeigh, but lc is known to call people "lefties" so I think he's officially winning.
Hey, at least you have a system...?.
"US terror attacks are increasingly motivated by right-wing views"
I doubt that the right is ever going to catch up with Antifa.
"I doubt that the right is ever going to catch up with Antifa."
Antifa has about a 20 year head start so it would indeed be hard to catch up.
The so-called experts on Trump over at the New York Times wrote a long and boring article on my cellphone usage that is so incorrect I do not have time here to correct it. I only use Government Phones, and have only one seldom used government cell phone. Story is soooo wrong!
? Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 25, 2018
He tweets from twitter.com instead of the app? That's disappointing.
I seem to recall from the campaign that Trump's tweets could be identified as coming from him personally or from his campaign staff depending on whether they carried a signature as coming from either an Android or an iPhone - has he given up the practice of tweeting from his cellphone? Or do I need to get John to explain to me why "I only use Government Phones, and have only one seldom used government cell phone" doesn't actually mean that Trump only uses government phones and only has one seldom-used government cell phone?
Let me know when someone detonates a bomb.
Until then, the Lefties are doubling down on a false flag operation to try and save their asses in election 2018.
Fake bombs get sent out, press freaks out.
Real Republican Congressman gets shot with real bullets, press yawns.
And that is why we call it the Fake News.
+1
A New York Times piece intending to add clarity? To the transgender issue?
Ha ha ha Ha Ha HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
None of those congressman died though. These bomb victims 100% could have died.
That was Buttplug's excuse yesterday. It was a "nonlethal attack" so just no big deal.
The easiest thing here is that they're both pretty rude things to do.
The whole debate is so idiotic. Leftists try and make everyone to the right of Chuck Schummer an accessory to any violence committed by any nut that can be in any way seen as "right wing". So, people on the right respond to that by pointing out the various acts of leftwing violence. And the response is that this is just "whataboutism" and justifying violence.
No, the point is that if everyone on the right is responsible for what right wing nuts do then everyone on the left is responsible for what left wing nuts do. It is not justifying anything. It is just holding the left to the same standards it holds the right. The truth is no one is responsible for these things other than the nuts who do them. But, you can't have a sane conversation with the left no matter how obvious and reasonable the point is.
A Bernie Bro shoots up a baseball field and actually almost killed someone and people are all like whatever.
Scalise may never regain full mobility in his legs, but short of death, no foul, right?

Great article on the political divide that results from the economic divide between the tangible and intangible economies. I think this goes a very long ways to explaining a lot of politics today.
Fascinating that the Biden package thing is being reported only NOW, when this was posted on the twatters YESTERDAY:
Feds frantically trying to track down missing package addressed to former Vice President Joe Biden, believed to be connected to FBI investigation; Post offices across the nation are on high alert
No word on how anyone knew that a missing package would be addressed to Biden.
The DNC let them know to expect the package, as they were charged for the fake postage.
ROFLMAO.
Debbie Wasaman Schultz submitted a tip
I suspected that she had a penis long enough to give a tip and not feel it.
TDS, latest infestation:
"When Trump phones friends like Steve Wynn, the Chinese listen and learn"
[...]
"When President Donald Trump calls old friends on one of his iPhones to gossip, gripe or solicit their latest take on how he is doing, U.S. intelligence reports indicate that Chinese spies are often listening ? and putting to use invaluable insights into how to best work the president and affect administration policy, current and former U.S. officials said."

Pretty sure they're also doing that when he holds a presser, when he tweets, and so forth.
It's a NYT feed, and I checked the original to see what comparison such a sterling journal drew to keeping classified material on an un-secure server in the linen closet, but NYT somehow found that not worthy of comment.
Hypocrisy, the left is thy name.
News outlets keep referring to the recipients of the packages as 'Trump critics', because a) that really narrows the focus and b) thats what these people's most prominent qualities are, apparently.
Yeah, that seems an...interesting... angle to take. These are all former high-ranking members of the Democratic party, all of whom held top government positions inn the Obama administration. I'd focus on that, personally.
What are the odds that the same people who gave guns to cartels in the hopes of fermenting anti-Second Amendment sentiment, allowed terrorists to attack an embassy in Benghazi so they could blame it on the Internet and demand censorship, and who got caught redhanded rigging the 2016 presidential election would send a bunch of fake explosives to themselves as a last-ditch effort to drum up voter sympathy?
We will see. But unless and until they find who did this, I would say it is just as likely to be a false flag than anything else. Actual terrorists send bombs that blow up not fake bombs as a general rule.
fermenting anti-Second Amendment sentiment
Mmm. And then triply distilled and barrel aged.
The Clinton and Obama packages listed Florida Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the return address.
I blame that Pakistani IT manager of hers!
Them or Feinstein's Chinese spy they subcontracted the work to.
Why have they not arrested this Debbie Wasserman Shultz chick??? Her name's right there on the return address!!!
Megyn Kelly is in the process of being railroaded. Not for shitty ratings but for saying this:
"You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween," Ms. Kelly said. "Back when I was a kid, that was O.K., as long as you were dressing up as a character."
She added that she was perplexed by the criticism of Luann de Lesseps, a cast member of "The Real Housewives of New York" who was criticized for dressing up as Diana Ross, complete with an outsize Afro wig. "People said that that was racist, and I don't know, I felt like, who doesn't love Diana Ross?" Ms. Kelly said, adding: "I can't keep up with the number of people that we're offending just by being normal people."
----NYT
http://www.nytimes.com/2018/10.....kface.html
Megyn Kelly didn't dress up in blackface on The Today Show. She isn't being kicked to the curb for using a slur. It's her ideas. Her idea was unacceptable--and she made it in public. She's basically getting the axe because she made a certain argument.
Have you ever made an unacceptable argument on social media? The left wants you to be permanently ineligible for management positions and maybe even unemployed. We can't have people thinking that believing such things--regardless of whether you act on them--is in any way acceptable.
Now they're basically giving her a struggle session. Apologize, apologize, apologize for your fake ideas--not that it will do any good.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Struggle_session
This is why people support Donald Trump. This might be a good reason for a libertarian to support Donald Trump. His presence in the White House suggests Americans will only be dragged into a conformist, SJW society hell kicking and screaming. I certainly don't want to live in a society where making arguments in public becomes unacceptable.
I knew a kid in 3rd grade who dressed up as George Washington Carver complete with blackface for a class report. Nobody batted an eyelash at the time. I should look him up so I can blackmail him. Oh wait a minute! I dressed up as a Native American for Halloween several times
If she stands up for herself then she deserves to be backed up and praised, but if ahe wilts she is on her own.
she has already tearfully apologized so now she is their cuck so to speak
She actually thought the leftist media liked her. She made milions, so you can't say she did that badly. But, why she thought she was different and the leftst media really did like her is beyond me.
I want to make SJWs explain why she should be fired.
It's not for what she did.
It's not for discrimination.
It's not for sexual assault.
She's Norm MacDonald here. She isn't doing what Roseanne did. She's defending Roseanne like Norm MacDonald defended Roseanne. Except the people she's defending are children wearing Halloween costumes?
What she said wasn't offensive itself. She was defending what other people did when she was a child as not necessarily being motivated by hate and bigotry.
You can't do that in SJW world?
Explain to us why.
Why should Norm MacDonald be blackballed?
Why should Megyn Kelly be blackballed?
And that's what we're talking about here.
"Are you now or have you ever been a communist [insert]"
This scare is even worse in some ways--because you don't need to have been a member of the communist party. All you have to do is say or believe certain things--and you're blackballed.
She should be fired because she thought a wrong thought. It is really that simple.
Exactly!
They want a world where we're all punished for thinking bad thoughts in public.
What could be more anti-libertarian than that?
Look for somebody prominent in our society who seems to have no fear of thinking bad thoughts in public and who do we see?
That's a big chunk of Trump's appeal.
You may be onto something here Ken.
I actually don't think we can discount completely that she may be getting fired because of her expensive contract and how terrible her show is doing.
Yeah, this could be the excuse they need, but that isn't the way they're selling it.
If they want to blame it on her contract, they're free to do that. I see no harm in taking them at their word. Am I supposed to assume they're lying?
Meanwhile, I'm really interested in the SJWs who condone this logic by itself. If the SJWs (not NBC) want Kelly fired because of the argument she made, then let them defend that.
"She actually thought the leftist media liked her. She made milions, so you can't say she did that badly."
Exactly. I liked Megyn Kelley. She was a good influence on Fox News and her centrism was a counterweight to some of the more RightWing hosts. Unfortunately, she thought the Left Wingers would tolerate her on NBC. Instead they've hated her from the moment they heard she had been hired. There have been literally dozens of "anonymous" inside sources criticizing her from the start.
It's a clear cut case of RightWing media being more tolerant than LeftWing media.
Yes. Her other problem was that she was too good looking. Being really good looking worked when her act was as an ice queen running a partisan news show. But NBC tried to make her personable. And that was never going to work. First because she isn't very personable. Second, women, who were the primay audience they were shooting for, were never going to warm to a woman that good looking. You have to be attractive but more cute and not too attractive to be a morning talkshow host. Kelly always will be to other women the woman who says somthing snotty about your outfit and then flirts with your husband.
I think it is more interesting who has NOT (yet?) been targeted. It seems like the person who did this sent or dropped off the packages all at once or in a short time frame
The Navy veteran who sent out Ricin mailed it to Republicans and Democrats.
Asuming for a moment this isn't a false flag, who do you think is next to be targeted?
Has Reid gotten one? Maybe Susan Rice?
In no particular order:
1. Rosie O'Donnell
2. Amy Schumer
3. Lena Dunham
4. George Clooney
I think news media figures would be more likely than Hollywood ones. But if it was entertainment figures, I would guess John Oliver or Jimmy Kimmel before any of those.
Betty White?
Hitler?
"It seems like the person who did this sent or dropped off the packages all at once or in a short time frame"
the "13 Oz rule". means these must have gotten into the USPS system by someone taking them to a PO.
'Hi. I'm Mr. or Ms Average Citizen and I've got all these packages to send to these common people you never heard of. What's the postage cost, Mr or Ms Postal Clerk? Can I use a credit card?'
Alternatively, he could have used the self-service kiosk, but that is credit/debit card only, too
And they have cameras all over most post offices
Anyone capable of sending bombs (or fake bombs) is capable of stealing a debit/credit card.
who needs to steal one when you can go to any store and purchase one. you can buy them your selves at any gas station and not worry since their cameras only record for a few days before writing over them
If we ever have a terrorist group that is smart, they won't be sending bombs to politicians. They will be sending them to reporters. You can't send a bomb to Joe Biden or Bill Clinton and get away with it. The federal government is too big and the full force of it too effective to be able to get away with something like that. And the bomb isn't going to get to them anyway. So, all trying to do it accomplishes is getting everyone in your group a life sentence in super max.
You can, however, get away with going after a few reporters. That will be a big deal but it won't bring the full force of government down on you the way going after a political figure will. And it is likely to succeed. More importantly, terrorizing reporters would allow the terrorist group to control the media. Reporters would talk a good game about their courage and outrage, but ultimately, none of them would risk their lives to do their jobs and would fall in line.
Agreed, which makes me think that the culprit here is not rational-possibly schizophrenic or autistic (assuming its not a poor attempt at a false flag).
Likely so. Hollywood makes terrorist out to be these evil geniuses but like most criminals they are usually stupid misfits.
excluding the Una bomber who was another leftist bomber rarely mentioned anymore. he was extremely intelligent but also a misfit
he was a real evil genius. Had he not let his ego bait him into sending the manifesto, they would have never caught him. I think he wanted to be caught. Otherwise, they would have never caught him.
I think we've already seen something very much like that with the cartoon stuff.
Yes and it has been effective. How often do you see anything that might offend Muslims in the media?
except that after the kissoggi incidence in Turkey i think the Media wants the full backing of the U.S. even to teh point of using the military. maybe thats what they want Marshall law
The folks over at Charlie Hebdo would say that they've already encountered some of these "smart" terrorists.
So... why aren't the stamps canceled?
Does the USPS not do that anymore?
Unless more bombs show up next week, this will probably all be over as a news story by Monday.
In the meantime, if this were a false flag operation, one of the things a leftist would be trying to provoke is making stage-right commenters all over the internet flood news sites everywhere with the kinds of comments that make people on the left want to run to the polls and vote for Democrats.
If you think this is a false flag operation, my suggestion is this: "Don't take the bait".
Regardless, this will probably be ancient history come Monday.
In the meantime, pointing out the left's hypocrisy vis-a-vis a mass shootings makes people think about mass shootings. That's not persuasive to anybody who isn't already on board with hating on SJWs and progressives, anyway, and thinking about mass shootings makes them want to vote for Democrats, too.
If these fake bombs were sent by RWNJ's, it's probably a good thing for everybody if that bunch has figured out that mass shootings only create greater threats to our Second Amendment rights.
In other words, if people react to this story appropriately, it can make the left look nostalgic for mass shootings. If mass shootings come up in the conversation, I might point that out--that the left seems to wish that this had been a mass shooting so they could clean up at the polls. Apart from that, mass shootings isn't something I would bring up in the conversation at all.
I think you are probably right. The bottom line is none of the bombs were real and no one was hurt. So, it is hard to see how the media keeps the country's attention on it for more than a day or two.
Everybody's minds reset the news cycle at the end of the week.
That's why they always release bad news on Friday. A lot of people only hear about it in trickles over the weekend, and by Monday, it's ancient history.
If you want to do a lot of damage, expose bad news on a Tuesday.
If they catch the bad guy on Tuesday, and he's working for the Trump campaign, then it'll be big news until the next Friday.
If they don't catch anybody until the week after that, most people will have forgotten the story by then (emotionally). If they don't catch anybody next week and there aren't any more fake bombs, then the story will be forgotten come Monday.
Eat a dick and choke Ken.
If bombs were sent to prominent Republicans you'd be calling for the summary execution of, well, the people who were actually targeted this time. You're a victim of rightwing propaganda. You are a RWNJ. You are disturbed and damaged and you need help. Most of the people here do. Think about how to actually help civilization for a change.
No Ken would not. And everyone on here knows that, even the people like me who don't always agree with Ken. You have a lot of problems Tony but the biggest and the on that is the root of most of the other problems you have is that you are utterly incapable of understanding how anyone else thinks and especially how anyone who disagrees with you thinks. You have this idea of how you think other people are and you project it onto them reality be damned. And your ideas about what people think are nearly always some grotesque charactature of their views whose entire purpose is to rationalize your hatred and nastiness. You have no interest in what other people actually think and likely have lost the ability to think rationally about it assuming you ever could. Other people just exist for you to project rationalizations for your own nastyiness onto them.
I know what you read and where you get your information. So I know how you think. All I have to do is read the lies you post constantly.
Yes Tony, you think anyone who disagrees with you is just lying. That is exactly the kind of projection and rationalization I am talking about. It seems to be all you are capable of doing.
I'd ask if you're familiar with the term "projection", Tony, but you're an ignoramus who isn't familiar with much of anything--and that isn't even close to being the biggest reason why I don't really care what you think about anything.
Tony is the embodiment of progjection.
It seems that no bombs were sent to anyone.
And the left seems to be very disappointed about that.
"If only there were a mass shooting right about now", the left seems to be thinking.
I bet they wish it were with an "assault weapon", too.
this.
It seems that no bombs were sent to anyone.
Yea I haven't heard any reporting that there was any explosive material or if they were even rigged to blow. You know, relevant questions considering that they (thankfully) did not explode and hurt anyone.
I keep hearing these things described as "suspicious packages" which is completely non-informative. I got two suspicious packages last month and didn't think it was a news story.
I blame Big Galvanized Pipe
Is that your porn name? ^_-
funny.
But it was PVC pipe.
that's the tell.
Trump blames media for creating atmosphere of hostility. Continues to call almost verbatim everyone on the target list an enemy of the people (to chants of "lock her up!" from his mouth-breathing moron followers). Freethinking libertarians at Reason say "false flag" like oozing pustules on Alex Jones's asshole.
The thing is, the elevated blood pressure you idiots all have at the very mention of prominent Democrats' names is all your own fucking fault. Stop watching rightwing agitprop. Read a fucking real newspaper for a chance. Stop being had by politicians. You're supposed to be fucking antigovernment radicals. Be men and not puppets for Christ's sake.
You and everyone like you calls the entire Republican party Nazis. If Trump is somehow responsible for people wanting to kill his enemies, then why are people like you not responsible for the multiple attempts that have been made on the lives of Republicans in Congress?
You had your nose rubbed in this yesterday. And you just started yelling about Obama and racism and then ran away. Do you really want your nose rubbed in it again? Or maybe you should just set this one out, given that you are by far and away the most hatefilled comentator on here.
The Republican Party are not Nazis. The Republican president has merely signaled common cause with Nazis. Let's all breathe a sigh of relief.
That you think that the shooting of Scalise negates all right-wing violence until the end of time is only made all the more pathetic by the fact that you're simply parroting other moronic puppets of rightwing media. I implore you, once in your life, please try to have an original thought. I'll buy you a fucking bottle of champagne the day that happens.
That you think that the shooting of Scalise negates all right-wing violence
No Tony. I think nothing of the sort. Again, you are incapable of understanding anything other people say and just project onto them whatever justifies your hatred. I don't think anything negates any violence. The point is that violence is the responsibility of the people who commit it. And if you want to claim otherwise and claim that it is somehow also the responsibility of anyone who says anything bad about the victim, then you need to apply that logic to your own side as well.
You really are an NPC. The meme fits you perfectly. No matter how many times something is explained to you, you just ignore it and give some canned answer like it has been programed in your head.
So the fact that bombs were sent to pretty much an exact replica of the list of Trump/rightwing bogeymen is completely irrelevant to you? Good thing you're not a federal investigator. You'd suck at it.
And the people Scalizy shooter shot were the people you and a lot of others on the left claimed were going to murder thousands of Americans by repealing Obamacare. You have no point here Tony. And you are not convincing anyone of anything other than that you are complete hateful dumb ass who can't do anything except spew hate and irrational talking points.
It's a little different since the shooter was apprehended immediately, and much was known about them. Their intent was exactly what you'd think since they took a massive risk in personally going down there and trying to shoot Republicans.
The bomber is, above all else, a coward hiding in the shadows. It's bizarre that no note has been sent to media outlets laying out a cause, but maybe they have and they're simply sitting on it as a favor to law enforcement.
We'll know eventually, I'd suppose. Even the UNA Bomber was eventually caught, and that guy was crazy careful and his bombs actually blew up most of the time.
Whatabout Scalise! is becoming insulting to Scalise and anyone with any intelligence. You people are such cunts.
It is not what about Scalizie. Again Tony, you are mentally deficient. You just can't grasp anything someoen says. You are only able to project what you want to say on them. I used to think you were just that dishonest. But I really think you are just incapable of thinking rationally or listening.
"replica of the list of Trump/rightwing bogeymen"
Or, you know, former high-ranking government officials from the Democratic Party. Trump's dislike for those individuals is not creative or unique to him.
That's because he gets all of his thoughts from FOX News. Which is sadly not an exaggeration but documented presidential history.
That's because he gets all of his thoughts from FOX News. Which is sadly not an exaggeration but documented presidential history.
It is astounding that you have no idea how stupid you sound.
I do my research. I watch Tucker Carlson, then an hour later I watch Trump repeat what he said almost verbatim. It's pathetic and dangerous and you don't realize that because you are yourself just as much a victim.
Yeah, you heard Tucker Carlson say something and then Trump said the same thing so Trump must be getting his talking points from Trump!!
It couldn't be that the White House puts out talking points to friendly media like Carlson to ensure a unified message or anything.
It is amazing how stupid you are.
common cause with Nazis
Such as government control of the means of production, strict economic and social regimentation, and mass-disarmament of the population?
Him and his admin have been doing the opposite of those things (i.e. lowering taxes, repealing regs, and advocating armed self-defense). You desperately need to learn what an actual Nazi is.
Hey hey, ho ho... I had something for this. Let me go back and look at some demonstration reels.
"Trump blames media for creating atmosphere of hostility."
Well, he's wrong there. He should be blaming shitbags like you.
Trump blames media for creating atmosphere of hostility.
24-7 slander of anyone conceivably "right-wing" fomenting actual, documented left-wing aggression and violence (such as riots and attacks by AntiPro-Fa) certainly establishes a peaceful atmosphere.
Whomever sent the fake bombs is indeed a loathsome individual.
There are two likely options, as I see it.
A) The person that made these devices is a total amateur rightie trying to take out prominent Democrats.
B) The person that made these devices is a leftist trying to paint the right as terrorists.
I don't pretend to know which one is more likely. I find it bizarre that none of the devices have gone off. If the FBI can't find the person, it makes me think it's probably B. If they can find them, I won't be surprised that it's A. The reason is simply because it's unbelievable that someone this incompetent can't be found, but it's completely plausible that if someone is staging this that they're smart enough to evade the FBI.
I would think that if the person doing it really meant to kill the targets the bombs would have been more real. Maybe not functional but at least a real attempt at making a functional bomb rather than the complete fakes or explosive devices that were specifically set not to go off that they seem to have been.
Whoever sent them, the purpose seems to have been to cause a stir and so chaos rather than actually harm anyone.
Never underestimate incompetence, especially from someone that thinks putting fake ISIS meme's on fake explosives is 'funny'. If it's A they'll be caught since they're clumsy and clearly an amateur, if it's B you almost certainly won't be able to find them.
I'm not going to speculate on what the cause is, just because the timing is honestly suspicious and the targets aren't even people who have any power anymore, at least in part. That's odd, or should be, no matter which way you lean.
The whole thing is very strange and defies easy explanation. You really have to be a Tony level idiot to think that there is an obvious answer to this. It could be any number of things and probably a few things no one has thought of.
There's always the Kaczynski option, or the Paddock option, or the Malvo option, or even the Oswald/Ruby/FBI option.
They could certainly fit or maybe be shoehorned into a 'left' or 'right' container, but probably best to reserve judgement on that until after the perpetrator/patsy has been dragged out of his (or her) small cabin in the woods.
They could certainly fit or maybe be shoehorned into a 'left' or 'right' container, but probably best to reserve judgment on that until after the perpetrator/patsy has been dragged out of his (or her) small cabin in the woods.
Pretty much, it's why I don't want to jump to any conclusions. I suspect that whomever sent these will be apprehended in short order given how obviously incompetent they are.
One point in terms of Kaczynski is that if it was someone like him, they wouldn't have targeted just one party the way this person or people have.
It's clearly targeted at Democrats, which certainly implies a political motive. Whether that implication is on purpose, or a genuine attempt to kill, seems in question simply because of how utterly ineffective the bomber has been. And thank god on that point, as much as I might loathe Obama, Hillary, et al. I have no desire to see them harmed.
My thoughts exactly.
>>>I find it bizarre that none of the devices have gone off.
i find it likely exactly as planned
C) mischievous hostile foreign intelligence agency
D) politically sophisticated Islamic group
E) a random lunatic
Anyone catch the report how the Chinese and Russians are spying on Trump's phone calls because he refuses to use a secure phone? That he's almost certainly spilled classified info to foreign adversaries out of sheer carelessness and stupidity?
Remember when Hillary studiously not spilling classified info on her private server was the scandal that brought her down? I'm sure everyone here will be horrified by this news and call for Trump to step down before he does anymore damage.
Yes, the Chinese and Russians are listening to Trump's phone calls and instead of quietly exploiting that, they called up the NYT to tell them all about it.
Beyond that, the Chinese and the Russians and God knows who else read every single email Hillary Clinton sent for seven years. So, I think the Republic can survive them listening to a few of Trump's phone calls.
Stop lying about Hillary. I'm fed up with it. All you do is lie about that shit.
The Chinese did not spill this. Someone in the US national security realm did because they are worried that the dementia-addled president is spilling classified info to our adversaries.
Imagine if it were Obama. Still waiting on you to achieve basic sentience.
No one is lying about Hillary Tony except you. The FBI found that she used a personal email server for all of her emails and that that server contained large amounts of classified information. That is in the public record. And no amount of you lying about it is going to change that.
So why was she not punished?
Because she was a Presidential candidate when it came out, and the FBI didn't want to arrest the Democratic forerunner for President. I mean, that should be obvious to everyone at this point.
Because of what BYOB said. She committed multiple national security felonies that have landed other people in prison. Have you totally forgotten the Comey press conference where he said she was guilty but "no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges" despite the fact that there are dozens of examples of people guilty of lesser misconduct going to prison?
Are you this stupid or just think you can gaslight everyone?
I think I can counter the horseshit rightwing propaganda you think constitute rational thoughts.
So the Comey press conference didn't happen? That was just rightwing propeganda?
You are just making a fool of yourself at this point Tony. More than that, it is actually pretty scary that you can just errase entire events from your mind and convince yourself that they didn't really happen. There really is something deeply wrong with you.
Tony|10.25.18 @ 12:11PM|#
"I think I can counter the horseshit rightwing propaganda you think constitute rational thoughts."
Yeah, the hag being a criminal is "rightwing propaganda".
I see you're still operating with one brain cell.
When they pull 100,000 Trump voicemails off Anthony Weiner's personal laptop, then I'll be worried.
I remember when Hillary tried to evade FOIA transparency law and in the process exposed classified information to hackers, but then again I also recall Hillary using a non-secure phone and being chastised for that as well. That doesn't say much other than Hillary and Trump really aren't that different in a whole lot of ways.
LOL I needed a good laugh, thank you. 'Studiously' is a nice touch.
If it makes you feel any better, I'm a little horrified that Trump is reportedly not using a secure cell phone. I'm also somewhat horrified Hillary Clinton got away with using a non-secure email server.
Read the link, he's not. He has two phones, one's for white house business, that's secure. The other is for his tweets, it's potentially insecure because he hasn't upgraded to IOS 10.2.8
Duly noted.
Totes the same as Hillary. Wait, are we talking about Hillary here? These facts are so similar, I'm getting the two situations mixed up.
Oh Jesus, Tony, you really wanna go down this path?
Yes he does. It really makes you wonder if perhaps he is just some media matters programed bot.
There is a reason the NPC meme went viral. It's too accurate for a lot of people who didn't reason themselves to their political beliefs but simply absorbed them via osmosis.
It really is. I have never seen a meme that described a group of people so perfectly.
Yeah because any intelligent person will admit that Trump's behavior is a thousand times worse than Hillary's when it comes to exposing classified information. Which Hillary never did.
Dude this is batshit crazy
Seriously. Read about it. That was the most overblown scandal possibly in the history of the world.
Meanwhile Trump's phone conversations with Sean Hannity are being listened to by the Chinese. Today, right now. I'll sit patiently and wait for the outrage and gnashing of teeth by Hannity.

"Seriously. Read about it. That was the most overblown scandal possibly in the history of the world."
I used to think you were just dishonest; now it's obvious you are certainly that and an ignoramus besides.
If you want to be taken seriously, you need to admit when your political heros fuck up. They all fuck up. Even my own preferred candidate Rand Paul is a fuck up on a lot of issues, and I have to admit it when he's wrong.
Difficult when the response to the alleged fuckup was a global fucking shitstorm of ridiculous proportions. Democrats always get punished for their tiny misdeeds a billion times over. Republicans meanwhile, well, you see what they're doing? Like inciting terrorism as we speak?
Democrats always get punished for their tiny misdeeds a billion times over.
It's odd you think that given that there's immense evidence that none of them ever are. That goes for both parties, by the way. I mean, Clinton isn't in jail and neither is Clapper as two just recent examples.
Consider how many people are elected to office and are only a little wealthy, but leave office rich as hell. It's bi-partisan in that regard.
You know who gets punished? Black Democrats who get caught. The only Democrats who ever seem to actually go to jail when they are caught doing something wrong are black ones. White Democrats are almost untouchable.
That's some bullshit right there, Tony.
Please share with us the facts as to how HRC was punished. The media hasn't mentioned it.
Link.
ZOMG, THE RUSSIANS ARE READING THE PRESIDENT'S TWEETS!
I'm almost surprised that Twitter hasn't banned Trump already. I'd love to see if there's been some internal discussions about that. I'd bet there has been.
Policy is policy!
They can't ban Trump because then Trump can't access his own Twitter feed which is recognized by the courts as being a town hall meeting that people can't be banned from. Only Twitter can silence political opposition at a legally recognized town hall meeting, don't you know?
Remember when Hillary studiously not spilling classified info on her private server was the scandal that brought her down?
You mean she was finally convicted?!?!?!
studiously not spilling classified info on her private server
ROTFLOL! 'Member the part about it being totally un-secure and how she trafficked all of her state dept emails over it (a crime in and of itself...) and how that necessitates that she also trafficked classified material over it. She was in violation of several federal laws each and every time she hit 'send'. I can't even fathom what the world looks like through the eye of someone so blindly partisan.
he refuses to use a secure phone
Not according to him, but to be fair there is only the accusation ("from sources", I am sure) and no corroboration either way (at least not that I have yet seen). So I'll refrain from judgement just yet. (See, Tony? That is how one thinks on an evidentiary standard.)

Read the link, he's not. He has two phones, one's for white house business, that's secure. The other is for his tweets, it's potentially insecure because he hasn't upgraded to IOS 10.2.8
I stand corrected more informed. Eat shit, T.
De Niro and Biden Latest Targets of Suspected Pipe Bombs: Reason Roundup
Are we sure De Niro's bomb was actually mailed to him and not just labeled Return to Sender?
Zing! I find it bizarre that De Niro was targeted. Is he the only non-politician targeted so far? Sounds like it.
Another person obsessed with Taxi Driver?
Is he the only non-politician targeted so far?
I think you're being generous calling any of them politicians, especially HRC. Kamala Harris' fake out was the closest we got to a sitting/active politician, right? If so, it is actually a bit interesting, fake bombs to former politicians practically screams something between complete nutjob and false flag.
My bad. Harris' and Cuomo's fake outs (right?).
If there were a right wing version of The Onion, it should have Biden responding to a having a fake bomb sent to him by instructing his wife to go out on the balcony with a shotgun and fire two rounds into the air.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIuk3G9Xixc
nobody on this planet wants to explode Robert DeNiro for his words. it went too far w/Cuomo, DeNiro-as-target crosses into ludicrous speed
Worse, we've gone plaid.
So I've seen a few people mention that the bombs were fakes, or were made to not explode, could someone tell me where they're getting that info from? Don't get me wrong, I think its really fishy that none of them went off, and that some of them got through the mail system, but gross incompetence could be the reason, it doesn't necessarily have to be false flag.
I guess it's a basic human tendency to fill in missing bits in stories we hear.
New York Times article:
"A law enforcement official said the devices were made with a 1-inch-by-6-inch length of PVC pipe filled with suspected pyrotechnic powder and broken glass to serve as shrapnel. They had a small button battery with a digital clock as a timer and a hot bridge wire initiator, the official said. The devices contained some of the components that would be required to build an operable bomb, but law enforcement officials would not say late on Wednesday whether they were viable."
Clue 1: 1" PVC pipe - wouldn't build up much pressure before failure. Kazinsky used steel pipe and the Boston Marathon bombers used steel pressure cookers because steel can contain high pressure for an instant before failure.
Clue 2: "Suspected" pyrotechnic powder - maybe low-explosive flash powder; maybe just gray dust
Clue 3: "Small button battery" - unlikely to generate enough heat necessary to ignite flash powder (for comparison, Kazinsky's bombs used four 9-volt cells)
Clue 4: "Digital clock" - Why not a trigger, but instead a timer? A timer on a package bomb doesn't make sense. That's why Kazinsky used a trigger on his bombs.
Clue 5: Broken glass for shrapnel. Kazinsky, the Boston Marathon bombers, and suicide bombers use metal shrapnel.
Clue 6: Cops won't say whether the bombs were "viable".
I'm no bomb expert but Kazinsky was, and these suspected bombs are nothing like Kazinsky's bombs.
Thanks for the breakdown Cato. I would argue that glass works well as an alternative shrapnel due to being difficult to see, undetectable to the tools we use to locate metal shrapnel, and continuously damaging to the patient, but other than that, your logic sounds spot on.
Yeah.
Fundamentally, the design-as-reported shows no real risk of killing or seriously injuring anyone, but a definite intent to look like a bomb. The only ambiguity based on what we know is whether they were:
1) Intended to kill or injure, but made by an idiot who didn't know what they were doing.
2) Supposed to be identifiable as deliberate fakes by investigators.
3) Intended to make investigators believe they were #1, while not posing any real risk.
It'll be hard to tell until the maker is caught.
This is really, really armchair analysis.
Let's assume the lowest-rated 1" (Schedule 40) PVC pipe: It has a minimum bursting pressure of 1440 PSI. 1" steel pipe seems to have about eight times that PSI rating.
Now, on what basis do we conclude 1440 PSI "wouldn't build up much pressure"? First of all, where is the bomber's goal stated -- are they trying to injure a person's hand, injure a person, kill a person, blow up a room, blow up a building? Where's the handy-dandy handbook on how much pressure one needs to achieve each of those goals?
And just because the bomb "wouldn't build up much pressure", maybe that just means the bomb builder was just bad at bomb making. Or maybe they were concerned about not using metal in the bomb.
Anyway, why are we trying to reach conclusions about something we aren't even tangentially involved in, from the comfort of our armchairs?

Thanks for the pic of the flag. I saved the image and posted it on one of my social media accounts. Just say'n, Detective Nase.
Thankfully, there are some trying to remind everyone that indeed, "this is not normal"?even in polarized and vitriolic times like ours, we're still seeing a fraction of the bombings and political violence we saw in the 1970s and other decades prior.
"Planet of the Apes" got some very bad movie reviews.
Looks like this might be another case of Florida Man: http://gourl.gr/b096
It's funny how a Bernie Bro shooting up a baseball field of Republican congressmen didn't get the sort of press this has...much less calls of condemnation of political rhetoric. If anything, the left increased them after the shooting.
