Brickbats: Stunned

In New York City, Andre Hinkson's mother called cops to say her son had just busted up their home and left. Cops went looking for him and jumped a man they believed was Hinkson, tasering him three times. But when the mother got to the ambulance they put the man in, she told cops that was not her son. Police say it was an honest mistake because the man was wearing clothing similar to what the son was reported to be wearing and he cursed at them when they approached him.

No way an NYPD officer would curse a citizen as they approached. That would be absurd.
I remember one time I was stopped by the cops while wearing jeans and a denim jacket, and they told me they were looking for someone dressed in camo from head to toe. They demanded identification, ran me for warrants, and questioned and searched me anyway.
Had I made a fuss about not looking anything like the guy they said they were looking for, I'm sure I would have woken up in a pool of blood.
Cops don't make honest mistakes. They make dishonest mistakes.
...and he cursed at them when they approached him.
Wonder what he'll do the next time they approach him.
Anyone that runs, is a VC. Anyone that stands still, is a well-disciplined VC!
Anyone picking up litter in the neighborhood with their young son must be casing houses. Definitely should run those two down with a car screaming accusations and then slowly drive off and linger menacingly after they've emptied the trash bags and proven their actual intentions.
"Wonder what he'll do the next time they approach him." Shoot first and claim self-defense, because he imagined the cops were going to do it again. Hey, that defense works for cops...
But the Heros in Blue all got home safely, right? RIGHT?!
Walcott was wearing clothing similar to what Hinkson was sporting and was irrational, cursing as officers approached him, police sources said.
Seems like cursing is actually a rational response to police approaching - - - - - -
As in "OH SHIT, I'M GONNA DIE!"
"Hands Up. Don't Shoot."
The Probable cause?
Has similar clothes as son on BOLO.
Case closed.
No doubt. Both had on pants AND a shirt.
Open & shut case.
I suspect this is the main reason for the tasering.
RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAH!!!11!!!!11!!!!!!
