The Weinstein Company is filing for bankruptcy after sale talks fall apart.
Have they even tried groping their way out of this?
Hello.
I know next to little about many things - sale of movie companies among them - but why would anyone want to buy TWC? It's sort of like a tailor shop; you can't sell the shop if the tailor leaves.
Is that what happened here? Or was the couch that soiled?
They were a relatively major film production studio, so it really was that the couch was just that soiled.
I'd imagine for the assets and royalties. Problem is the lawsuits are going to claim a portion of these profits and who knows if it would be worth the purchase.
Movie rights is what they wanted.
Tarantino movies, etc.
President Trump recommended his personal pilot, John Dunkin, to head the Federal Aviation Administration.
WHY NOT.
Incitatus he ain't
At least he probably wouldn't freak out about drones like the current FAA does.
Having an actual pilot in charge might not be the worst thing in the world. Much like we need to have actual engineers in charge of the FCC, not lawyerscum.
Flooding in Cincinnati as the Ohio River crested more than 60 feet.
Does that mean there actually are carp in Cincinnati now?
Wow, is this an obscure WKRP reference, Fist?
The Communist Party in China amended the Constitution to remove term limits on the presidency, opening the door for Xi Jinping to serve for life.
WHY NOT.
They have a Constitution. That's cute.
And it can only be amended by 100% agreement among the President-For-Life.
You gotta laugh at this stuff. Everyone knows it's BS, why do they bother?
I think we'd have to sanction them if they went full USSR on us, and we really don't want to lose all that cheap labor, and they don't want to lose all that foreign dough.
I think we'd have to sanction them if they went full USSR on us, and we really don't want to lose all that cheap labor, and they don't want to lose all that foreign dough.
Remember how Friedman wished we could have a system similar to China?
Good times.
"One man, one vote, one time"
The Weinstein Company is filing for bankruptcy after sale talks fall apart.
Bitches set 'em up!
WHY NOT
President Trump recommended his personal pilot, John Dunkin, to head the Federal Aviation Administration.
I thought the United States Air Force was Trump's personal pilot.
Flooding in Cincinnati as the Ohio River crested more than 60 feet.
This is the cleanest Nastynati has been in over 150 years.
All the Kentuckians just rolled up their pants and went back to smoking meth.
The Communist Party in China amended the Constitution to remove term limits on the presidency, opening the door for Xi Jinping to serve for life.
Make America China Again. #MACA #NeverNotTrump
Does it really even fucking matter in China? Its not like if Xi didn't run again, you would get some candidate from a different party on the ballot.
Yeah, the General Secretary and the President are essentially the same now, and the General Secretary exerts large personal influence over the entire Party and their policies. Each one has their own 'philosophy' that guides the government during their term.
It's not like in the West, where party leaders act largely according to their party's desires. In China they form those desires. And, of course, there's no real opposition they have to negotiate with, which is where most American presidents depart from the party.
The big problem is, Xi wants to go back to the days of more authoritarianism and more communism, complete with saber-rattling. If he continues being elected (it'll be hard not to be) then we'll see more and more problems down the road.
The Communist Party in China amended the Constitution to remove term limits on the presidency, opening the door for Xi Jinping to serve for life.
Bad move, commies. Next thing you know your people will deify him over the state.
President Trump recommended his personal pilot, John Dunkin, to head the Federal Aviation Administration
Sounds like there's nothing Congress can do at this point.
A 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit Papua New Guinea, cutting communications channels and interrupting oil and gas operations.
Gaia saving herself.
"The Communist Party in China amended the Constitution to remove term limits on the presidency, opening the door for Xi Jinping to serve for life."
That sounds like some pre WW3 kind of legislation.
Sounds like a progressive's wet dream.
"SEE?! We could have done this too and we'd still have Obama! Instead we have Mr. I lost the popular vote in power. I hate America sooooo much!!"
I like that idea if for no other reason than it would allow me as President to actually say "yes, those are my monkeys and yes this is my circus".
I like this comment right where it is.
^
It worked for Bloomberg when he got NYC council to change the term limit laws for him, against the will of the people as expressed in several referenda. Hell, too bad he didn't go for a 4th or 5th term and save us from that twit Deblasio. Yeah, Bloomberg was a nanny but at least he wasn't a commie.
I had several friends who have lived their entire lives in and around NYC who said that as bad as Bloomberg was, every other alternative was much worse. I never believed them but boy was I wrong and were they right. The thought that there might be people worse than even Deblasio is downright terrifying.
In many ways he is the culmination, or at least about as extreme as you'll see in America today, of that peculiar type of patronizing authoritarian.
Here's an interesting article about Staten Island - the gist of which is we have them to thank for Giuliani and Bloomberg but they couldn't save us from Deblasio.
Staten Island is the last sane place left in the city. And they are always wanting to succeed and go to New Jersey. Think about that. NYC government is so bad, Staten Island would rather be governed by New Jersey. Wow.
I live near the other end of that bridge that connects to Staten Island. It's reasonably sane for Brooklyn.
"Reasonably Sane for Brooklyn" might be the most backhanded compliment ever given.
I was going to point out that it's 'secede' and then I realized that it's pretty much equivalent here.
I try to avoid knowing about NYC politics as much as i can, but from what i've inadvertently read, Deblasio's shitty commie authoritarianism is mitigated somewhat by the fact that he is chicken stupid.
Also, he's very lazy. Like hours late to meetings and s--t.
If you look at the list of NY donors who contributed to Hillary Clinton, they contributed hundreds of millions of dollars.
Oh
It's NYC. Don't ever underestimate their ability to pick the worst possible candidate for leadership.
Lefties would love no term limits and the president's ability to end 2nd Amendment protections.
Chinese pens and phones are mightier than American pens and phones. Lefties will cry about this.
President Trump recommended his personal pilot, John Dunkin, to head the Federal Aviation Administration.
And The Dotard is appointing a horse to the Senate and the protectionist Navarro as trade representative.
I would appoint monkeys.
Just to make a point.
A delegation of monkeys to shithole countries. It would be marvellous.
I like that idea if for no other reason than it would allow me as President to actually say "yes, those are my monkeys and yes this is my circus".
It would also point out that most trade or political deals are worthless and just political theatre.
This post makes a lot more sense down here.
Yes it does.
"n"th D chess. Trump making the government out to be foolish and mostly unneeded. Its genius really.
More proof that the campus left is beyond parody

Andy Janecko, 19 and a second-year student, wants to create another policy. "I'm really wanting to write a separate policy, that brings consciousness about consent a little bit further," said Mx. Janecko, who uses they/them/their pronouns. "We're missing this whole component of consent in general, teaching people not to touch people at all if you don't have their verbal consent," they said, suggesting that it could be called the Nonconsensual Contact Prevention Policy.
One reason for the policy, they said, is to protect against people casually touching people who don't like to be touched or who have disabilities that make unexpected touch painful or unsettling.
"I'm also looking for it to help people get justice or get acknowledgments at least for microaggression," said Mx. Janecko, currently on co-op in San Francisco, working at a mime theater. They hope to get to work on this next evolution when they return to campus this spring.
"It" better not visit the Mediterranean.
It's all we do.
I love how he is working for a mime theater. And how much money do you want to bet he is borrowing to attend Antioch and become a professional victim? Hey come on employers, I am a specialist in finding offense and giving people reasons to hate each other, get ya some of that.
Mimes are the last people who should support Affirmative Consent.
Cost to attend Antioch - $54,982 a year
Holy shit, that's not the most amazing part of that story:
A hug. From her mother.
I'm almost certain that what we are seeing there is somewhere on the autism spectrum.
It's sad that you can no longer tell the difference.
I advocate a new game show: "Autism or Higher Education?"
"I'm almost certain that what we are seeing there is somewhere on the autism spectrum."
You know ... that actually makes a lot of sense.
That is just sad.
A hug. From her mother.
Son of a bitch must pay!
/Jack Burton
I'm not a touchy feely guy myself. Social distance....SOCIAL. DISTANCE!
But I'm able to understand that human touch is part of our essence as a species. It's one thing to feel awkward when someone comes and hugs (like, say, your aunt who dresses weird) but for fuck sakes these people are incapable of getting in touch with their humanity.
It's profoundly sad; if not troubling.
I don't like people touching me either. But my mother gets a pass from that rule.
Obviously.
Touch me
A puritan is someone who couldn't get over the fact that when he was born he found himself in bed, naked, with a woman.
"...fuck sakes these people are incapable of getting in touch with their humanity."
It gets worse Rufus. They will take over government as Boomers and Gen Xers retire. If they don't find humanity and they are socialists, we are fucked.
Bah, young Boomers and old Gen-Xers raised them, taught them, and generally did not fight against the changes to society that produced their mentality. Lenore Skenazy is one of the only contributors in this place with any balls, and she's a prog.
Mom should then say "Well, I don't much feel like helping you pay for education or anything else. Have fun!"
Thank your stars, John, that this isn't your kid!
No kidding. I think I would rather see my kid go join Isis than be interning at a mime theater while drafting affirmative consent rules in his spare time.
It would be "hir" spare time you fucking cis-lord.
See, if ISIS had just thrown mimes off of buildings the only ones helping the Iraqi regime would once again be France.
HAHAHAHAHA.
I hope you are ready for the Feds to come busting through your door,
They wouldn't have to. I would turn the little bastard in myself. But, I still would take solace in him at least not being this guy.
When I was in college, I tended to have liberal friends because liberals had more fun and partied more than conservatives. This seems to have changed. These people seem to be utterly miserable. Who looks at this guy and thinks "man that is someone I want to hang out with and be like"? I keep thinking that the SJW craze has got to end because they offer nothing but misery to those who join. Who wants to go through life seeing everything as an offense and getting your entire sense of identity from being a victim and being offended?
Same here. Dated liberal girls too. Things seem to have reversed.
I thought the preacher's daughter is who you want to go for.
There is a lot to be said for that. You might not get drunk but you likely will get laid.
Only knew one. My mother's cousin is a Pentecostal preacher/pastor. He has a daughter. She didn't do it for me but I should give it another look if I ever see her again.
Plus the pastor rubs me the wrong way. I don't think he likes I'm Catholic.
Rufus, are you announcing your aspiration to get with your cousin?
There comes a time in a man's life when.....
Oh, come on. You're actually expecting second cousins to count for anything? Among rural Canadians? Or Pentecostals? That shit is like an interracial relationship to them.
You make good points. And it is clearly implied that her dad's only problem would be that Rufus is a filthy Papist.
I dated a SJW avowed-Communist type in college. Her friends were all strippers. The parties were very tame, like they were trying to act like 30-somethings in Manhattan. Going to a grungy frat party and doing keg stands was way more fun.
I also never came on to her to play along with the whole affirmative consent thing. Drove her insane, but I'm not sure if it really sunk in.
When I was in college politics was a low buzz at most - kind of defaulted to liberal but nobody made a big deal about anything - except for this one dude who was a Women's Studies major and nobody could stand being around him for very long.
This. I was lucky if could motivate myself enough to wake up for a 10am class let alone be damned to read or care about politics. Plus there were kegs to drink!
This. I was lucky if could motivate myself enough to wake up for a 10am class let alone be damned to read or care about politics. Plus there were kegs to drink!
the liberals at my college had the best weed and NHL 92 on Sega. I could never figure out how to execute the deke move when I was stoned out of my gourd.
lol. Sega.
Does what Nintendon't motherfucker.
I had Sega.
Sega baseball was my fave.
In college I mostly jacked off, read weird stuff, posted online, and stayed awake for days at a time. Good times.
In other words, your life's routine has varied but little since middle school.
I too was wondering about the use of the past tense.
The thing is I can't stay awake as long anymore.
Also, technically, I had a long term relationship in the middle there that involved having sex. But that's more a technicality for me.
Having sex with another person doesn't preclude still doing any of that other stuff, mostly.
I'm just saying there were some bumps along the way. Wasn't all the same.
nothing says 19 year old virgin like some douche bag working in a mime troupe who doesn't want people touching other people without a signed contract. Sorry nerd - they still won't have sex with you!!
Nothing says erotic like a contract negotiation. These people are just sad.
Look, if you can't imbue a contract negotiation with a frisson of eroticism, then i don't know what to tell you.
Would that mean, if I punch the douche in the face, I'd both assault AND rape him?
Seems like a bonus...
Mx. Janecko
This dude thinks he's Mexico? WTF?

The Communist Party in China amended the Constitution to remove term limits on the presidency, opening the door for Xi Jinping to serve for life.
Something tells me this was not a process that involved the Chinese People deciding if this was okay.
Just a bunch of tyrants doing what tyrants do in the Liberal Utopian Communist China.

Political tries to break the news to the faithful that Trump might win re-election. Oh noes!!!
This article reminds us all of an important truth. That we should all stop using -gate as a suffix for any controversy.
Even if you don't like Trump and think he is a bad President, at some point, you have to look around and wonder what the hell all of the liberal whaling is about. Here we are a year into his administration and no one is in camps, they are not having Nuremberg rallies outside Washington and we are not at war any more than we were under Obama.
That's all secondary to the fact that we need to stop using -gate as a suffix.
And...
The other choice was Hillary Clinton. Man, we dodged a bullet in 2016. I have actually heard some suggest Hillary will try again in 2020.
The stars will still be right in 2020, so unless you know enough Aklo to work a banishment on an elder god, i'm not sure who could stop her.
CASE NIGHTMARE GREEN GREY
Mahogany Row authorized the use of SCORPION STARE on her last trip to England, but it just ended up frying a bunch of CCTV cameras.
Who suggested that? The left was testing the waters for Oprah running weeks back.
Plus, after Mueller's joke of an investigation is over, a new special investigator will be sicced on Hillary.
WaPo and Salon to name two.
I don't think she will run, and that analysis is worth half what you paid for it.
If the FBI was willing to lie to the FISA court and spy on Americans when they thought she was going to be President, what would they have been willing to do once she was actually President? It is a very scary thought.
The USA dogged a huge bullet with her not winning.
If she won, I was prepared to invest in a welder to begin making dozens of Czech hedgehogs for my neighborhood.
Scary indeed.
If everyone at the DNC hasn't contracted aggressive syphilis, they will put her on a plane to New Zealand and leave her there for the duration of the primaries.
I like how half the commenters pro-trump, and the other half just attack the article writer personally, especially for not being 100% anti-trump.
Yes, that should be the only measure of a good article. If it is 100%, or merely 99% anti-Trump.
There is a lot of throat clearing and virtue signaling on it. And the article's criticisms of Trump raise the question of how the author squares his contention that Trump is such a bad politician and keeps making all of these mistakes with the fact that he won the Presidency and the author's own contention that he is on track to win re-election. At some point, maybe the author's belief that Trump is making all of these "mistakes" doesn't match with reality?
I can forgive all of that because of where the author is writing. You can't write at a place like Politico without having a rock solid belief that Trump is the dumbest and most incompetent President ever. If you are the rare bird like this guy who doesn't share the religious faith that Trump is going to either be impeached or be run out of office in 2020, you have to then explain how his success is the result of him being lucky. You see when bad things happen when socialists are in power, it is just bad luck. When good things happen when capitalists are in power, they just got lucky. The ideology is never wrong even if the results vary.
"You see when bad things happen when socialists are in power, it is just bad luck. When good things happen when capitalists are in power, they just got lucky. The ideology is never wrong even if the results vary."
This drives me nuts with the economy especially. "Clinton and Obama saved the economy, Trump and Bush destroyed it." The president, or indeed any mere mortal, doesn't have control of the economy. Even if you 100% believe they do, you can't just change the parameters to fit your predetermined conclusion. I've always loathed the bias of media sources, but for the past few years it's been intellectual dishonesty and outright lies. It's shameful.
Trump got lucky because he took office when the business cycle was about to go on the upswing. But Obama was just cursed because he took over at the end of a big crash and recession. Yeah, that makes sense.
These economic cycles happen to be two 4 year periods long.
LOL McMullin has let the mask drop entirely now. Not even pretending to do the "authentic, principled conservative" thing anymore; just finding whatever vacuum he foolishly imagines he has found. Thing is, he doesn't even have the brains or integrity to realize these people are not going to be fooled by his weasel words, and he might as well go all-in Bloomberg if he wants a prayer at them. (This is one of the only tweets he has ever made that's not about Trump, since he also thinks "generic anti-Trumper" is a thing that will impress people.)
* fooled satisfied
Even the people who voted for him are embarrassed and wish he would go away.
common sense reforms that protect our children, our communities, and our rights.
Garbage. A completely calorie free statement.
Whenever someone feels the need to say their position is "common sense", they are doing so because their position is anything but common sense but calling it such is just a way to avoid having to defend it.
The real Thomas Paine would disagree.
You know that he was a rabble rouser, right?
Butt doesn't know much of anything.
He thinks patriots were evil anyway. They helped setup the USA to successfully repulse most of socialism's tactics for over 150 years.
Mike Rowe is full of awesome:
"Should we discuss the impact of video games, accessible firearms, single-parents, no parents, powerful medications, social media, mental illness, bullying, or anything else we think might have encouraged him to choose evil over good? Without question.
But we should also stop confusing the influence of such things with the root cause. Because nothing in this man's past can possibly explain his decision to kill seventeen people. If you believe otherwise, ask yourself why millions of other people with a similar past, don't make similar choices.
The past does not equal the future.
https://www.facebook.com/ TheRealMikeRowe/posts/1820416537968481
Without saying so, exactly, he gets the point across that trying to deal with the problem of evil by taking away the ability of good people to make good choices is futile.
I think we can peel off a few of the crunchiest progs from the gun narrative if we discover that Nik Cruz had been eating a lot of GMO foods.
Since he didn't seem to be in a financial position to spend $150/week on non-GMO groceries, I'm very sure he was kept from starving with GMOs.
Damn GMOs! Keeping killers alive!

This One Weird Trick Didn't Work
Notice not even the story claims she 'can't afford' it, merely that she decided she'd rather not pay for it.
The White House is considering the idea of using restraining orders to take firearms away from people considered dangerous as part of its response to last week's massacre at a Florida high school, two people familiar with the matter said.
Under extreme risk protection orders, which are also known as red flag laws or gun violence restraining orders, firearms can be confiscated from people found to be at risk.
The White House is studying an Indiana version of the law, and is considering other measures as well, according to the people, who requested anonymity to discuss policy deliberations. Four other states also have such laws.
https://goo.gl/Gkak4E
Wow, imagine Obama doing this. Wingnuts would be marching on DC.
Don't the red wingnuts already dominate in Indiana? So how did Indiana pass this law without wingnuts burning down Indianapolis? Or maybe wingnuts aren't too opposed in the first place.
Because Pence has god-like status in that state. He can do anything as long as he says Jeeby told him to.
And Mitch Daniels is a mini-god.
Everyone but lefties know that this is the media trying to say there will be more gun control.
There won't be.
There was an article against this just the other day here.
Wow, imagine Obama doing this. Wingnuts would be marching on DC.
And they would be right to do so.
2Aers are particularly offended by national gun laws. If states and localities want to implement this stuff, it's fine with me. It's actually a decent way to see what works, and what we've seen so far is that nothing really works.
States don't have any business curtailing constitutional rights.
True. And the feds are constrained from do so by the constitution. Check mate.
Checkmate?
I don't want any more fucking gun laws. I'm more libertarian than the GOP on guns.
You're a socialist. You can't fool people on here.
Butt that is.
Wow, imagine Obama doing this.
It was already a pretty obvious given but, if it wasn't clear before, it should be now that any inch of any 'common sense reform' or 'finding of common ground' with PB will be immediately followed by him spitting on people believed to be his lessers.
The libertarian gun policy position may not be exceedingly popular, but at least it's not some poorly-veiled malevolence.
More suspected fake news (which sucks, considering how it plays to my confirmation biases):
Does anyone have a link like this that does NOT live on a website like "naturalnews.com" or "organicandhealthy.com" ?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new.....ption.html
The FBI didn't have time to even call the local police about the kid in Florida putting guns to people's heads and telling everyone he was going to be a school shooter. They did, however, have time to listen to 3000 hours of phone conversations of the Univerisity of Arizona basketball coach to see if any of his players were being paid. It is all about priorities I guess.
The solution is to ban bump stocks.
Maybe Cruz was mad because he wasn't getting a shoe deal. If so, then the FBI would have been all over it.
Why is the FBI spending federal resources helping this ridiculous organization pretend to enforce its ridiculous rules? What is the federal public interest in this matter?
That is a really good question. Meanwhile, it appears that the Dade County School Board colluded with the Sheriff's office to ensure that students were not arrested for crimes to ensure that the district showed improvement in student behavior so they could get more federal money. Remember, the FBI indicted a bunch of teachers in Atlanta for helping their students cheat on state tests. No kidding, they made a federal case out it. And they are indicting people over basketball players taking money from agents. But they don't seem interested in a school board colluding with the cops to ensure criminal students are not arrested so they can scam federal money.
Just shut the organization down. What purpose does it serve?
President Trump recommended his personal pilot, John Dunkin, to head the Federal Aviation Administration.
Would it be better if he recommended a tailor, or a steamfitter, or a pastry chef, or perhaps a standard issue left-liberal journalist pretending to be a libertarian?
Hey, what became of that HUGE news you have been tracking the last few weeks, Mukey? You know - the news that would expose all that Obama/Clinton corruption?
I don't read wingnut.com so I must have missed it.
Getting the goods on corrupt scumbags like you takes some time. Michael Horowitz' investigation is still on you dumb fuck.
Okay, fair enough. Just keep us posted on that whopper.
It will be. Every lefty media outlet will sink the story until the truth comes out.
Hillary indicted.
They didn't indict her on blatant admitted felonies. She and her family are, in our current political climate, untouchable.
Maybe. Maybe not.
I know it's just an artifact of the antipsychotics making you twitchy, but "Mukey" is a fun typo.
All these "outrageous," "unqualified" appointments are just Trumpism in microcosm. Oh, are we supposed to be outraged at this mockery against the reputation of our august Executive Branch? Fuck off. Nobody is buying it anymore.
The head of the FAA is just like every other one of these managerial bureaucratic jobs. Pretty much all he does is attend meetings, mostly with his subordinates on the next tier down on the org chart, where he gets the latest updates on various issues and gets various recommendations on what to do about them, which he will then pass along to the president. It hardly requires a Wehrner von Braun level of genius.
Krayewski is a leftist just like most of his media buddies, so of course he's going to bitch about any appointment unless Trump appoints a hard leftist, which thankfully isn't likely to happen.
So today is the anniversary of the '93 World Trade Center attack and what was my morning news take on it? That the FBI don't get no respect for... whatever they did that day... thanks to Poopyhead-in-chief. That was it. I know the DNC is feeding them all their talking points but this one is just bizarre.
Nobody currently in the FBI had anything to do with the '93 WTC attack. Now they might be the children, nieces, and nephews of those people...
Yes, WTC 93 was all Bill Clinton's fault. And so was 9/11. And the Iraq War was too.
I read wingnut.com sometimes.
What's Bill Clinton have to do with it?
What's Bill Clinton but a sweet old-fashioned notion?
The bombers rented a truck in their own names. All the FBI did, was show up and pull the VEN number off the engine block, find out who owned it and then called the rental company and found out who rented it. They did nothing to stop the plot. But damn, they were able to catch those master villains who were not even smart enough to steal a truck or rent one under an assumed name.
Fuck. Quarter century; where did the time go? Even old Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman died last year. RIP, slave of Allah; you are blindly groping 72 virgins now. I gotta go rewatch that made-for-TV movie starring Uncle Phil.

CA Dems bet on The Bern:
" In a sign of how rapidly the Democratic Party is moving to the left in reaction to President Trump, barely a third of delegates backed Feinstein, while the underfunded de Le?n ? running as a potential leader of the resistance movement ? fell just six points short of the 60 percent needed to win the state party's backing."

Dianne Feinstein just isn't crazy enough for them. Wow.
She isn't crazy in the same way that Hillary isn't crazy. She's not really a far-lefty per se, just someone whose only genuinely held political principle is extreme, across-the-board authoritarianism. The rump '60s far left actually tried to recall her in 1983 for trying to ban guns.
This is further evidence that the Democrats will be losing elections all over the USA in 2018 and 2020.
The Democrats think their problem was that they were not left enough.
These dumb dumbs think the USA is already socialist with all the current battles to make America socialist raging.
This would be evidence that the Dems will be losing election except for the fact that a majority of the American people have rarely been more motivated to vote now that Donald Trump gives them something to vote against.
I know. All of these wars he's gotten us into and legislation that is blatantly against he constitution! Wait.. those were is predecessors. What exactly has he done that as so horrible again?
Destroy the global reputation of the United States, at minimum?
The reputation that the USA was a doormat for socialist failed policies? Yeah, not during Trump's 8 years anyway.
Tony|2.26.18 @ 11:15AM|#
"Destroy the global reputation of the United States, at minimum?"
Uh, among dirtbags like you, it's true.
Regardless, your best claim remains 'he's a poppyhead!!!!!!!!!'
Keep screaming, dirtbag.
Haha, ok Tony. Because when I think of a country, my opinion of it rests primarily on some guy who was president of it once.
Looks like the some of the same old people who don't like Trump. More and more people do like Trump's direction as president though, which is why he will win.
Commifornia and New York will continue to pump out hundreds of thousands of new voters against trump and still only get 55 and 29 EC votes respectively. Maybe less after the 2020 census lowers their representatives in Congress and thereby lowers how many EC votes they get.
Since the SLP folded in 2011 after 135 years, I always suspected if we ever saw a revival of De Leonism it would be in the California Democratic Party.
Unsettling coincidence. Supposedly he's against surveillance, but that always changes once people are in power.
Here's the link
Workin' hard today, Bucs.
I couldn't sleep, so I went into work at 5 AM. Three hours later and I'm bored.
Best selling author Rebecca Morris flips out after seeing a Norwegian flag:
'Suddenly there is a Confederate flag flying' in Seattle's Greenwood area ? well, not quite
Volokh was talking about this too if you're interested.
That's actually where I first heard about it, but then Reason never gives me credit when they get an article ID from something I post in links either. ;P
I hear Norway has lately seen the explosive growth and mainstream acceptance of a far-right neo-Nazi white nationalist party, and that it achieved its present wealth by instituting an intensely business-friendly, pro-globalization, neoliberal economic environment and pumping filthy fossil fuels into our atmosphere at the expense of environmental justice for poor peasant-poets of color displaced by climate change. So, same thing more or less.
You mean socialist new-Nazis?
Norway is already socialist and is very...let's say...white skinned.
"white skinned" well duh... they don't get much sun that far north.
The stupid ... it burns.
Americans are tired. Of course being USA Today the reasons we're tired is solely the fault of conservatives.
Any older Reasonoids care to weigh in on how this compares to the social upheaval of the late 60s?
Yeah, Americans are not tired of constant lefty undermining of the constitution both in ever-growing Nanny and Police state along with government taking away more and more Liberty.
These media people really think they represent most of America.
Wildfires, terror attacks, rising tensions with North Korea, racist rallies, political investigations in Washington, the non-stop barrage of presidential tweets, more and worse mass shootings from Las Vegas to Florida, a tsunami of sexual harassment accusations, the role of Russians in our elections, climate change, red state-blue state division and not one, not two, but three of the worst hurricanes on record ? including one that nearly blew Puerto Rico out of the Caribbean Sea.
I want to hug those people and tell them they need to learn to get over it. Almost none of these have meaningful effect on your day to day life if you weren't actually personally involved with any of those tragedies.
Tax rates for people far richer than you will ever be... now that's the correct thing to be anxious about.
Tax breaks for everyone. So it doesn't bother me that some rich people get richer. I am getting richer too.
For supposed fiscal scolds you people have a really fucking difficult time grasping the concept that a ledger has both black ink and red ink.

"For supposed fiscal scolds you people have a really fucking difficult time grasping the concept that a ledger has both black ink and red ink."
Hey, look! Tony's drooling a new lefty talking point he read someplace yesterday!
Because no one here ever says anything about needing massive cuts to the federal government's scope and size to go along with tax cuts.
Move those goalposts. First it was the tax cut 'for rich people,' then when your bulls hit is refuted and you're informed that the tax cuts boosted wages and most non-rich people benefited, suddenly you're concerned about the deficit - a deficit that never bothered you before.
Sure seems to bug you, anyway.
Fuck that shit. Yeah, it's been rough dealing with the headaches and sadness on the old stomping grounds, but ultimately this is a triumph for Puerto Rico. Mar?a gave us all she got--and yet, when all was said and done, we did not capsize.
A 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit Papua New Guinea, cutting communications channels and interrupting oil and gas operations.
Cleanup efforts will result in the discovery of six new species of gecko and a previously-assumed-extinct type of possum.
Didn't you hear? Karl Marx popped up from a molten hole near the site of the earthquake.
Karl Marx is bound to be placed on the Democrat presidential ticket for 2020.
This comment is as clever and insightful as it is germane to a discussion about Papuan biodiversity.
One thing Marx definitely was, was biodiverse.
Outgoing sheriff Bill Watson gave away department equipment. His successor wants it back.
"Since Sheriff Michael Moore took office in January, his staff has been trying to account for equipment ? including a wood chipper, ice machine and tents ? it says is owned by the Sheriff's Office but wasn't turned over in the transition after longtime former Sheriff Bill Watson lost the election in November."
Alright, which one of you clowns used to be the sheriff of Portsmouth?
At least there would finally be someone in charge of the FAA that was an experienced pilot and not just anothet lifetime bureaucrat latching on to the closest available teat.
