Former NFL player Johnathan Martin taken into custody after tagging his former high school in a threatening Instagram post.
Seems like it could have been an anti-bullying post gone wrong.
Hello.
Trump campaign aide Rick Gates pleaded guilty to conspiracy, lying to the FBI today.
AND BEING A SOVIET SPY.
I don't get why, if he wants to "turn" them to go after Trump and all, Mueller keeps getting them on charges involving lying.
Doesn't seem to make them, you know, credible witnesses.
Oh, you.
Florida lawmakers back raising age requirements for purchasing firearms, other restrictions.
Problem: SOLVED
Not until we realize that the only reasonable idea is to lock up all teenagers until they are 30.
Damnit, it's really hard being a libertarian sometimes.
What's that, thirtyteen? Or teentynine? Something like that?
Twentyteen, I think, technically.
A van struck a security barrier near the White House.
Hillary had seen enough of Trump's presidency.
I really laughed on this one.
I pictured her driving with an oxygen bottle next to her. Haha.
I picture her on a sleigh being pulled by Huma Abedin, who has antlers tied to her head.

Well, it's a very sexy brain, no doubt.

It's like a trip to Crusty's dungeon - backlashes all the way down.
How did you escape? Did you smear something tasty on your lashes to get Crusty's chinchilla roommate to chew through them?
Dude, don't you read Simple Mikey? I AM Crusty. This is known.
[stands up]
I am Crusty!
We're all Crusty. In fact, you might say there's a little bit of Crusty in all of us...
He's to blame for all the people wrongly convicted on DNA evidence?
There's definitely something crusty on me, been itching like crazy.
In retrospect it was incredibly obvious. We've never seen both of you in the same post.
That doesn't make sense.
No, just think harder and you will realize it was true.
Great. I still don't get it, and now I have a headache.
I look forward to the day when all businesses are properly segregated along political tribal lines.
Just append party affiliation like politicians.
"Chick-fil-A (R-GA) showed 400% gains again this week after a decision at the beginning of the quarter to open on Sundays. Patrons say that they, like, inevitably crave Chick-fil-A on Sundays. The company will continue market testing of the change before a potential national rollout."
They're not really against the NRA. They've done a quick market analysis and found that on the balance this move will be a favorable in view of their customers or at least their stockholders. Gun nuts don't have big portfolios in general.
Given how expensive gun collecting can be, that's not really a good way to bet...

What, taking a knee isn't edgy enough anymore?
He might be a school shooter, but he is still a patriot, damn it.
He played for New England?

Tr?s magnifique!
Security footage from school massacre scene was on 26-minute delay
Surveillance footage from the Florida high school where 17 people were fatally shot and more than a dozen others wounded was not shown live, as responding officers initially thought.
It was on a 26-minute delay, leading police to brace for a shootout when the gunman was actually long gone, Coral Springs Police Capt. Brad McKeone said.
"Nobody told us," Coral Springs Police Chief Tony Pustizzi told the Sun Sentinel, which first reported the tape delay....
...By 2:50 p.m., the suspect had already bought a drink at a Subway restaurant inside a Walmart store and left on foot, four minutes before scanner traffic said the gunman was still on the second floor of the school....
The school resource officer was on a 26-minute delay, too.
If only they had set it to T+26 instead of T-26, they would have had advanced warning.
McKeone, one of the responding officers, said the delay did not hinder access to the victims.
"It had no delay. It didn't slow us down to getting us to anybody," McKeone told CNN.
Sheesh, McKeone -- what a disingenuous stretch.
With all due respect, was *anything* done properly in this episode?
Nope, just a bunch of stupid cops being stupid.
...By 2:50 p.m., the suspect had already bought a drink at a Subway restaurant inside a Walmart store and left on foot, four minutes before scanner traffic said the gunman was still on the second floor of the school....
Here's what I don't get. These shooters go in knowing they're on a suicide run. Why did this guy toss the rifle and slip away? Was that his plan? Did he just run out of ammo? Something else?
It's not always a suicide run. Particularly since you would lose out on all of the glorious attention you were seeking by doing it in the first place.
Seems that he ran out of ammo.
Eh, if it's like other serial killer, he's going to be very popular
The reality is, become a mass murderer, you get fame, attention, if not money and freedom.
He's not as attractive as the Boston bomber guy.
Just think of the security guard, 26 minutes after the shooting, settling back in to the camera room, swing the feed, and shouting "not again!"
Repost:
People don't understand how Broward County School Sheriff Officers operate. I'll explain.
10. Initially the police were excusing misdemeanor behaviors. However, it didn't take long until felonies, even violent felonies (armed robberies, assaults and worse) were being excused.
?
11. The need to continue lowering the arrests year-over-year meant that increasingly more severe unlawful behavior had to be ignored. Over time even the most severe of unlawful conduct was being filtered by responding police.
Reversing Broward County's School-to-Prison Pipeline
...Broward's Collaborative Agreement on School Discipline was announced in early November. Instead of suspensions, students can now be referred to the PROMISE program, where they receive counseling for several days and then return to school. A host of non-violent misdemeanors no longer require an arrest, though officers can sometimes override that if they feel it is necessary ("I wanted to make sure deputies always had discretion," says Scott Israel, Broward County's sheriff). The school district's Office of Minority Male Achievement reviews data to ensure that punishments for minor infractions and racial disparities are on the decline....
GOP Governors want Obamacare back:
Governors push bipartisan national health care compromise
Good thing we just massively slashed revenue with a giant tax cut bill.
We can get the revenue back by organ harvesting prominent democrats who made that crap happen in the first place, and then redistribute their wealth. They're for that, right?
It's spelled Le Pen, Reason Staff.
I wouldn't mind seeing Le Pen take on Le Sword.
Those are some fine water-based felt-tipped writing utensils.
Florida lawmakers back raising age requirements for purchasing firearms, other restrictions... A van struck a security barrier near the White House
So, basically the goal is to subsidize vehicle rammings, on the assumption that those who reside in state residences will be fine.
Hopefully we can get more acid attacks like the civilized nations.
Talos knows I'm bored of being stuck with fire, ice and lightning.
Raise the driving age to 21 also, unless you enlist or become a cop. Then you're magically trustworthy. Derp!
Or you're enlisted in the military, where you're trained to be a good, fun-loving, free thinking constitutionalist!

Meh. NRA folk have been boycotting companies forever, and now there'll be more of *that* "backlash".

Former NFL player Johnathan Martin taken into custody after tagging his former high school in a threatening Instagram post
It's too bad that the "___ was my nickname in college/garage band" joke is already done to death. "Threatening Instagram Post" would've made a great entry.
Former High School was my nickname in middle school.
Big fan of Redman and Method Man's work?
Obviously.
That was a great anime.
My favorite anime is a toss up between Hilary No Go and La Blue Girl.
*Hikaru - lol
Hillary No Go should've been the slogan of Trumps campaign.
Hillary. O Go is certainly MY slogan.
Toss Up Between Hilary wasn't bad either.
I still binge watch Hillary No Go from time to time.
I thought Hillary's best anime was 'Overlord.'

National Review's Michael Brendan Doherty reviews Marion La Penn's CPAC speech
The CPAC organizers should really have known better than to buy their Marine La Pen at the 7-11 toy aisle.
The governor, a Republican, backed raising the minimum age to buy any firearm, including semiautomatic rifles, to 21 from 18.... The minimum-age limit already exists for handguns, and it would have prevented Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old shooting suspect, from lawfully purchasing the AR-15 the police say he used to massacre 17 people
Obviously the solution is to raise the minimum age to 121.
And as anyone knows, the only way to purchase anything is to lawfully purchase it.
Black market gun dealers would very much like these laws passed. Overnight appreciation of their inventory.
Any times something does something we dislike. The only thing to do is change a random law to prevent it.
Perhaps we could change the minimum age to 14 and arm all the high school students instead of the teachers.
Everyone just needs to call force fields. Problem solved.
We just need Holtzman shields - a glorious return to knife-fighting!
NRA gives Ajit Pai "courage award" and gun for "saving the Internet"
Because the R in NRA apparently stands for Republican.
To be fair, he was receiving death threats regularly.
Regardless, it has nothing to do with second amendment rights, so why does it have to do with the NRA's supposed mission?
Hmm, David Clarke is a previous winner. So that's gross.
"Courage Under Fire"
Somewhat literally.
But yeah I get your point. Everyone gets superfluous awards these days. Blue participation ribbons make folks feel warm and fuzzy.
