If you look at overhead footage, you'll see that the House chamber was twice as full as for any other SOTUA.
Hello.
"I made a mistake. It was RONALD Trump. Oops. I fuck so many guys they all sound and look alike! I'm just a girl!'
/Malibu Stacy giggle.
Stormy doesn't kiss and tell.
"Anything but kissing. I don't do that"
Stormy doesn't kiss and tell.
Stormy doesn't kiss on the lips.
Well, not on the face...
Just put the memo on Hillary's server.
Adult star Stormy Daniels released a written statement denying that she had an affair with Trump in 2006.
I only look at Stormy Daniels for the articles.
That would be Articles I and II concerning "I'm peachy"?
Well, you could write a whole Reason article on her breasts. 12 point font.
Only two points on those breasts are interesting, though.
The Venezuelan government is issuing its own cryptocurrency.
Assuming they still have the electricity to mine it.
Trump signed an order last night to keep Guantanamo Bay prison open.
Another of Obama's legacy achievements reversed.
Way to get a bunch of areola all over the Links page, ENB.
Guess I won't be visiting Reason at work today.
Nip on my desktop; thanks.
"I think I see.......a nipple."
Ya gotta love ENB. She is the best.
"The Iranian nation will never give up Imam Khomeini's legacy; Islamism and Republicanism," Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday. "Return is impossible."
Famous last words.
" Nothing is "impossible" until we decide it is"
- Senator Blutarsky
Nothing says fresh new alternative to Trumpism like rolling out a Kennedy to be your spokesman. It is fortunate for the GOP that the Dems are still dynasts pining for the '60s.
Exactly. This is another reason why elections 2018 and 2020 are not going to go well for Democrats.
Democrats have zero good ideas that Americans want to counter Trump. They didn't in 2016 and they still don't.
I'm sick of both parties "good ideas".
We got Medicare Prescription Welfare, the PATRIOT Act, the Iraq War, TARP, the ACA, and other things we didn't need including a few Trump wants.
The irony of you discussing things people are sick of and don't need.
Snap.
Who are you?
Another Tulpa sock?
This is how you know it bothered him.
So you supported those "good ideas".
Typical.
go back to Bratfart.com
This is how you know it still bothers hiim.
Butt does that a lot.
Butt deflects all the sockpuppets it runs around here and then avoids the topic with some rant.
Lately Butt has acted like it doesn't like either side. Funny, a lefty not liking Democrats. Hilarious!
A serviceable entry, but I think Buttplug and Double Dummy still have the lead. I believe in you, though. I believe that you can snatch the award if you just put in a little more effort.
Amazon is gonna solve America's medical care problem. And... Democrats will hate it!
Democrats will win back control of the House this November in a #BlueWave. (I make no guarantees about the Senate.)
A Democrat will win the 2020 Presidential election. Drumpf is too unpopular, the economy is too sluggish, the disastrous effects of the #GOPTaxScam and Net Neutrality reversal will become apparent, and the Democratic bench is too strong for the GOP to win again in 2020, even with Putin's help.
Democratic bench is too strong
You've gone too far with the parody bit now.
Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren. Three excellent choices right there for the first woman President.
I've also recently become a fan of Cory Booker. Have you seen his passionate speech calling out a Drumpf stooge over the "shithole" comment? If the next President has to be another cis-male, we could do a lot worse than him.
Parody is clearly over the line now.
Open, you're a funny fucker.
"the disastrous effects of the #GOPTaxScam and Net Neutrality reversal will become apparent,"
Are you a troll? He's a giant asshole who spews out hateful nonsense and lies non-stop. That alone is what will bring him down. The tax bill will absolutely help the economy and the anger over the net neutrality debate was the stupidest thing in the last decade. Literally nothing will be different without it. It was pure hysterics.
The tax bill will stimulate the economy some, no question. At the cost of borrowing a few trillion.
Wow, "libertarians" here have gone full Keynesian. I'm not surprised. The GOP has been since Coolidge.
Voters give no fucks about deficits. This won't bring him down.
Hell, Ontario just announced they were ditching their balanced budget efforts because the people were demanding more spending on "jobs and stuff" and coincidentally there is an election this year.
Unfortunately true.
Only ButtPlug would consider taking fewer taxes to be a Keynesian spendathon. The unrelated spending is unrelated, except for probably being less than it would be without the tax cuts.
Butt cannot consider that now that the tax reform passed and is helping, Congress can move on to cutting spending.
Lefties will never allow that so of course tax breaks=spendathon.
If the Republican Congress would have tried to put tax reform and spending together, the lefties would have killed tax reform too.
Its all obvious lefty attempts to wreck the USA.
Yeah, it's always amusing that Democrats won't cut spending and then point at Republicans and start screaming 'Good GOD, Republicans are spending so much and not taxing to support it!' as if they ever taxed 'enough' to cover their actual spending.
It's a cripple fight if ever I've seen one. They both suck.
Perhaps we can start organ harvesting you progressives to shore up the difference.
Of course it's a troll. How anyone still has any doubts on that, I don't understand.
I don't really consider them a troll since it seems that their intent is satire and amusement for those of us that realize that they're not serious. Maybe it's just semantics, but I always think of a 'troll' as someone that just wants to piss people off. OBL doesn't piss me off, they make me laugh.
"Return is impossible."
Yet another asshole who thinks history is over just because his team won.
What happened to the Maxine sotu response? I was looking forward to listening to that while toiling in CAD today.
Apparently someone actually had the presence of mind to decide that was not such a good idea; too bad.
On BET reportedly.
I heard it was going to be shown tonight.
Oh. I may have to check my popcorn inventory.
I understand she decided to boycott the whole event. Damn!
Any speech of hers needs a laugh track.
Stormy Daniels: "I'll suck your cock for $180,000."
Trump: "I'm just gonna find a cash machine."
Apparently she just spanked his fat ass with a rolled up copy of Fortune magazine.
Talk about a cuck....
That would not be a cuck.
Someone's fucking her.
I heard he paid her to piss on beds.
He denying the relations does put a damper on the left's claim that Trump paid Stormy Daniels to have an affair.
The Venezuelan government is issuing its own cryptocurrency.
Economic collapse gone digital.
Trump signed an order last night to keep Guantanamo Bay prison open.
Huh. For some reason I was under the impression that it had been closed by the previous admin. //not
There are only 41 detainees left there.
Trump might get some ideas about putting political prisoners in Gitmo though. Or maybe just some group he doesn't like.
Because the man is pure, unmitigated evil. I won't be surprised when every employee from the New York Times ends up there by the end of this year.
DON'T FORGET CNN!
I'll tell you, this year's fight for biggest moron is off to a great start. You're really holding your own against Double Dummy so far.
They are shining stars in a sea of mediocrity.
These RE all good ideas. Although I favor executing them outright. You too PB.
"There are only 41 detainees left there."
So you're confirming it wasn't closed.
Trump might get some ideas about putting political prisoners in Gitmo though.
Right...I'd ask for a citation as to why you'd make this baseless accusation, but you don't have one because you are just a mendacious twat.
'Member that time that Barry "investigated" (threatened to prosecute for espionage) individuals with political leanings opposed to his that reported information about the admin. that the admin. found uncomfortable?
Trump on Jap. Interment Camps (best I could think of that relates ;from a Time Mag piece):
"I would have had to be there at the time to tell you, to give you a proper answer," he said during a recent interview in his office in New York City. "I certainly hate the concept of it. But I would have had to be there at the time to give you a proper answer."
PB take: See he would have gassed them like Hitler.
So far Trump has only said mean and insane things about his enemies, and threatened, but never followed through, with libel accusations against the press.
When it comes to using his actual institutional power to go after his enemies and suppress the press, he still has yet to come close to matching Obama.

Fake News!
Military secrets don't count.
What, like the secret spying that the NSA was and continues to engage in contra the constitution? Those kind of 'military' secrets?
So, Block Yo Momma didn't close Gitmo like he said he would?
Now, hold on. If Obama didn't close Gitmo, what was his Nobel Peace Prize for?
That's easy. Killing Americans overseas by pen and phone with such a Harvard Law Review type of keen mind.
I'm willing to bet that Obama has killed more people than all other Nobel Peace Prize winners combined.
It's the thought that counts.
..on Trump taking credit for low black employment
He took their jobs and put them in chains, didn't he?
To be fair, blacks have been in psuedo-chains for decades because of affirmative action and welfare.
Shut up, you don't see the humorous error either.
Independent of Trump, the Dems often looked semi-deranged.
Trump just brings them to full boil. Trump is living proof every day that Americans don't like Hillary.
It's a good thing for Welchie Boy and his cabal of fugazi children that the Koch brothers have absolutely no clue of what appears in their product these days.
Wow you're dumb.
Credit where it's due - Cabal of Fugazi Children would be a pretty good title for a history of Dischord Records.
The Koch brothers make sure that every Reason contributor supports open borders. (That's a good thing.)
I know you're satire, but it is true that the writers are in total lockstep on this issue and several others (abortion comes to mind - they are all either pro or silent on the issue, also the I think disingenuous Cato "freedom" report that ignores freedom of speech and the freedom to defend yourself).
Which is kind of funny as I recall quite clearly several lectures from the staff about how they are free to contradict one another, have a wide variety of views, etc. That may be perfectly true but I'm not seeing it reflected here as much as I used to.
You're not much of a libertarian if you want a police state to check papers and police the womb. Since we already have a major party that likes those things plus Big Gov (the GOP) anyone who aligns with those policies should just stay with Team Red.
Only if you deny humanity to the womb's contents. Lots of libertarians don't, you know.
PB thinks it's a big joke to rip fetuses out of the womb.
The left knows how to define humanity, and if you're below their metric you no longer have the right to life.
Remember when the left just 'knew' that Jews weren't human? Remember when the left 'knew' that the poor were too stupid to breed? Remember when the left 'knew' that guys like Mao would be so successful in their attempts to remake society?
Well guess what? They still know.
And can you believe they don't have any writers who support increased surveillance state measures, stronger gun control, and wealth confiscation? Some diversity of opinion!
Yeah, I'm not looking for that wide a variety. Some lively discussion of issues that don't have an obvious answer would be nice though.
There was disagreement over the bump stock thing I think. Some were much harder against it than others.
abortion comes to mind - they are all either pro or silent on the issue
I'm pretty sure Stephanie Slade still exists.
But your point is reasonable. I more or less agree with the prevailing views at Reason regarding abortion and immigration, but a bit more viewpoint diversity there would make it more interesting and stimulating.
I'm pretty sure Stephanie Slade still exists.
Touche. I forgot about her.
The Judge was also good for a banning abortion article. I didn't agree with his position but he articulated it well and had good points. Bring back the Judge, I was glad to see they had him as the moderator on the "Selfish" debate. What if the judge never rights another article again?
Where does one find a libertarian with a substantively different position on immigration, without wading into the skeezy racialist wing of the ideology? There are certainly writers with that position out there (and a few pros I can think of who don't need a job at Reason), but it's a tightrope for the editors to walk.
I assumed that Rhywun was including Slade in the "silent" category. She hasn't written any such article in a long time. Of course, Slade doesn't really write a lot of articles anyways.
Trump taking credit for the 2017 economy would be like Obama taking credit for "winning" the Iraq War (if he were that crass).
Someone pointed out last night that job creation and GDP actually FELL in 2017 (from 2016).
"Someone pointed out last night that job creation and GDP actually FELL in 2017 (from 2016)."
Good thing for Trump that's not his fault. You just said so.
True. It's not.
I have said many times here that Trump's first year was benign - due to the courts, Congress, and his own ineptitude.
His fan-boys should be angry. No wall, no ACA repeal, no Muslim ban, no trade deals or rewrites, no spending cuts, no prison for the Clintons or Obama/Biden - just a bunch of greasy fat under a wad of orange hair.
"True. It's not."
Then it seems kind of stupid to bring it up.
And with that I have actual productive work to do creating products people want. Stay salty!
It is germane to this hollow SOTU speech.
SOTH speeches hit the same notes every time. They are all 'hollow'. I haven't watched one since Reagan. There's no point since they're all basically the same.
His fan-boys should be angry. No wall, no ACA repeal, no Muslim ban, no trade deals or rewrites, no spending cuts, no prison for the Clintons or Obama/Biden - just a bunch of greasy fat under a wad of orange hair.
Well, if his 'fan boys' are angry they should be angry about Congress on literally every last one of those agenda items. They, like you, worship at the feet of the POTUS though.
"on "The Prejudicial Cynicism of Trump's SOTU Talk About MS-13""
Yup, it is like what I wrote last night.
When Trump talks about Americans, they are good honest decent folk.
When Trump talks about immigrants, they are criminals, terrorists, or gangbangers.
For once I would like to hear Trump talk about immigrants as if they were something more than just a mere problem or nuisance to be dealt with.
I doubt you'd vote for him no matter what he said or did, so I can't see the point in catering to you.
Recruiting for the GOP on Reason?
You and many others do it. Why not?
I find that a curious response. Your type is notorious for complaining about things you'll never think to buy anyway.
Yet, somehow noticing that makes one your political enemy, and a "recruiter."
Does anyone else think this is a bit deranged?
You just told another poster "Hey, I probably can't persuade you to vote for Trump so I won't try"
Weird, none of that appeared in what actually posted.
"another poster"
PB, that's not what he said. Dummy.
He is, you know, the president. I don't think it's unreasonable for anyone to say what they would like him to do or say. It is kind of relevant. It's not like it's just a TV show you can decide not to watch.
I like how the OP shits all over your post exactly one minute later.
What?
OP explicitly states he would never vote for Trump.
Only an idiot would waste one iota of energy on a person who has explicitly said they would never support you.
This is, of course, where you prove that statement correct.
Coming Zeb post
"I think he should anyway"
What?
The sockpuppets tend to yell at one another. It keeps web traffic counts high.
You're right, I won't vote for him in any event.
But, you know, he could at least try to be a statesman once in a while instead of a shameful demagogue when it comes to immigration.
"I'll never vote for you, but cater to me anyway"
Well, I also happen to be an American. I don't think it's too much to ask for my president to stop acting like a demagogic douchebag.
"I'll never vote for you, but cater to me anyway"
Don't lefties say that he is not *your* president?
I hope he keeps doing what he is doing minus the tariffs and debt spending. Its good for the USA.
For once I would like to hear Trump talk about immigrants as if they were something more than just a mere problem or nuisance to be dealt with.
I only flipped over occasionally and I still heard him do exactly that. And at length. Don't go by the selective picking and choosing that the staff chooses to focus on.
I have to respectfully disagree. When he brought up immigrants, it was in the context of terrorism and gangs. When he brought up what some heroic people had done, if they were immigrants, it was in the context of "they are great Americans".
Immigrant is a term reserved for nuisances. American is a term reserved for 'good people'.
"Immigrant is a term reserved for nuisances. American is a term reserved for 'good people'."
Oh. You buy that "dogwhistle" garbage.
For once I would like to hear Trump talk about immigrants as if they were something more than just a mere problem or nuisance to be dealt with.
He did, frequently. He even invited and acknowledged some legal immigrants.
Did he say "Here are some immigrants who became Americans and did some great things"? Or did he just say "Here are some Americans who did some great things", neglecting to point out that they were immigrants who came here? That is the problem with his discourse on the subject. Whenever he used the word 'immigrant' it was always in a negative connotation. Whenever he pointed out the positive things that a person had done, he did not use the word 'immigrant' even if it applied.
I think this is a feature of the discourse on the right generally when it comes to immigration. The word itself has come to mean a burden we must endure.
Trump's proposed deal on immigration is a good one.
1. A path to citizenship for those who deserve citizenship.
2. Eliminate the diversity lottery.
3. Eliminate chain migration.
4. Select emigres based on merit.
That IS comprehensive immigration reform.
Oh Jesus, Tulpa is Hihning the comments with his PB sock.
Is it any wonder this place is dying.
Just like every day for the past many years. I don't think that's why the place has declined.
If there's a decline it's because most of the regulars left and the misfits have taken over. Take a look at the debt thread. It's almost painful to read.
Well, time to go check out that one.
It's not as spicy as I hoped, but there is a Hihnfection.
Yup.
Trump's best line in his speech:
"Americans are DREAMERS too."
Short, pithy, scathing. It was a win. He wins so much, I am tired of winning.
HolyFuckinStormyDaniels!
O_O
...ahem, no links today?
"The Venezuelan government is issuing its own cryptocurrency."
Let me fix that for you.
"The Venezuelan government is issuing its own cryptocurrency, suckers."
