2014 "Moron" Tweet by Donald Trump Kinda Predicts the Future

The president is a gift that keeps giving, distracting, and giving more. Wish it would stop.

Love him or hate him, it's hard as hell to ignore President Donald Trump.

The latest dumb flap? Word is that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called the president a "moron" over the summer. From NBC News:

The tensions came to a head around the time President Donald Trump delivered a politicized speech in late July to the Boy Scouts of America, an organization Tillerson once led, the officials said.

Just days earlier, Tillerson had openly disparaged the president, referring to him as a "moron," after a July 20 meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump's national security team and Cabinet officials, according to three officials familiar with the incident.

In an unscheduled statement to reporters Wednesday morning, Tillerson directly addressed that version of events, saying, "I have never considered leaving this post."

And yet, Tillerson "did not deny calling the president a 'moron,' declining to address that remark directly and saying, "I'm not going to deal with petty stuff like that." According to NBC and other accounts, Mike Pence was instrumental in getting (begging?) Tillerson not to quit.

But whatevs, right? If cabinet members aren't slagging their boss, what good are they, right? But here's where you can always count on Trump to provide something…more. Via the crazy, mixed-up Twitter feed of John Tabin comes this Trump tweet from 2014:

An interesting cartoon that is circulating. pic.twitter.com/OPG2R2ytkr

You know who else was a moron?

  2. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

At least Trump brought on people other than Yes-men.

I know the media does not advocate having cabinet members that have opinions other than the president, so here we are.

Who hasn't called their boss a moron at one time or another. Trump cabinet members just get much more media attention than your average working stiff.

It is amazing/nauseating watching the lengths you'll go to spin absolutely everything into a reason to adore Trump.

      1. NEET   8 years ago

No shit. Trump isn't literally Hitler, but god damn, one has to wonder how loveconstitution shits with Trump's cock up his ass all the time. Trump Adulation Syndrome perhaps?

        1. Chipper Morning, Mean Girl   8 years ago

Simple. It comes out of his mouth.

          1. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

Aw, you poor guys with all the TDS. Even funnier is that me pointing out what Trump actually does caused you to foam at the mouth. I cannot wait until he signs the ObamaCare repeal bill and you really lose your minds.

Hillary lost to Trump! Remember when Hillary LOST to Trump?

Don't for get to take your meds before you comment next time: Paranoid, NEET, and Mean Girl.

            1. voluntaryist   8 years ago

Every election is a sham. The loser is always the voter, by his own hand. For example, the O.C. repeal bill will be a repeal just as much as the Affordable Care Act was affordable. But don't take my word for it, wait and see. You will learn if you're in your twenties or early thirties. If not, you won't. It's probably too late.

NBC News spoke with a dozen current and former senior administration officials for this article, as well as others who are close to the president.

So, NBC's fallacy in this case is "appeal to authority"?

    1. Drave Robber   8 years ago

Dozen senior officials can't be wrong, just like million flies.

  4. TrickyVic (old school)   8 years ago

The founders knew a moron would become President some day, as well as Congressmen and Senators. That's what the concept of limited federal government was to hedge against.

A moron in office can only hurt you if they have great authority over you to exercise.

  5. Rhywun   8 years ago

Who hasn't called their boss a "moron" at some point...? Big deal.

    1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

I agree. Basically the report is saying that Tillerson and Trump had an argument. That tweet is pretty funny though.

      1. Rhywun   8 years ago

Some day Trump will learn the internet is forever.

        1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

          Not today, though.

        2. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

He's an old, billionaire, President Of the United States. What does he have to worry about being haunted by? Short of prison I guess.

  6. Brandybuck   8 years ago

Can't get to Twitter from work. Can someone post the actual cartoon?

    1. BestUsedCarSales   8 years ago

Found a version of it here

Though in Trump's version "fucking" is half crossed out. Probably because he wasn't aware of Anal Van Man yet.

      1. Citizen X - #6   8 years ago

        BEST C*RTOON EVAH!

  7. Unlabelable MJGreen   8 years ago

Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is undoubtedly a "fucking moron."

    1. Half-Virtue, Half-Vice   8 years ago

      Do you chess, bro?

    2. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

A moron beat Hillary and has managed to scale back government more than any president in many decades.

Keep thinking he's a moron so he can roll back more government while you are TDS-ing.

"The leaks are real, the news is fake"

  10. m.EK   8 years ago

Actually, the reason for the 3 branches, the "enumerated powers" and the LIMITS to authority and autonomy provided by the first 10 Amendments were to keep the government from working together and allowing outside influences to the LAW and We The People to be able to do much damage.
    Morons we can handle.

    1. voluntaryist   8 years ago

The example govt. sets every day in every way is: violence is moral/proper. Moreover, some groups are vilified and some are portrayed as victims who are morally superior, with special rights. This combination will bear fruit as social disintegration. It is inevitable. It is unsustainable. We are witnessing the collapse of our society.

Of course, should the collapse's focus turn inward toward govt. in general, WWIII will unify, temporarily. After the fallout (literally and figuratively) the collapse will continue.

Perhaps the internet will provide for the creation of a sane alternative community. Boycott MSM. It is an extremely subtle form of mind control. I stopped watching MSM news 35 years ago. Entertainment is now getting just as bad. See "Star Trek: Discovery" for the latest blatant military/industrial pitch for WWIII. How many identified it? How many absorbed the message uncritically?

We are living in a dangerous era, much like in the Cuban Missile Crisis era, but without JFK. Quite the contrary. We have "little rocket man" and "big rocket man".

  11. Rockabilly   8 years ago

Well - look at it this way..

Hillary Clinton will NEVER EVER EVER be president !!!

    Fuckin' A!!!

Fuck her and her democrat progressive marxist party. fuck all of them from Obama, his attention whore wife, the Clintons, Comrade Sanders, E Warren real injun, Antifa, BLM.

Fuck all of them and their SWJs and all their fucking grievances, and hate speech, and trigger warnings, and safe spaces and gun control.

Fuck all of these fucking marxist punk kill joys !!!

    1. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

People can say what they want about Trump but he seems to be the key master to open the door for Americans to really say fuck you to lefties.

I am enjoying every minute of it.

  12. Episteme   8 years ago

Love him or hate him, it's hard as hell to ignore President Donald Trump.

No, it's easy. Go outside, go see a movie, pet a dog. There's a whole lot of life outside of politics, like 99.9% of it (even for a political journalist). It's the baseball postseason and the basket preseason, and the NFL is more than just anthem protests!

  13. Ned Netterville   8 years ago

I confess: Trump does more to make the case for a voluntary, stateless society than all of my ranting.
