Members of Trump's diversity council call for Steve Bannon to resign following events in Charlottesville.
Bannon never should have had the president organize that rally in the first place!
Hello.
Keep giving Antifa the signals to continue "leaders".
Fools.
Reads like a comic book villain.
All staff must be like us in order to have diversity.
Members of Trump's diversity council call for Steve Bannon to resign...
Nice diversity ya got there.
...President Trump retweeted and then deleted a cartoon of a train hitting a CNN reporter.
Realizing he was in danger of becoming a parody of himself.

Bannon brings diversity to the workplace.
The Congressional Budget Office warns that premiums could rise by 20 percent if Trump follows through on his threat to cut subsidies.
Is this the first time government subsidies actually lowers the cost of something?
The program reportedly handed out millions in improper subsidies, including to deceased people.
Broadband from beyond the grave!
I saw that Twilight Zone episode.
The rent of caskets is no laughing matter.
In the past week the president has changed his profile pic five times in the last two weeks.
Something tells me Britschgi edited this line more than once.
I spent month in Ohio one weekend.
To me it just shows us that Trump is getting things done.
At least it wasn't a picture of his thing.
The program reportedly handed out millions in improper subsidies, including to deceased people.
Said of every government subsidization program ever.
Pretty sure my sainted wife's sister is still collecting her disability and used her ssn to sign up for food stamps.
This just in: Trump questions existence of, dimisses "diversity council".
Oh. My. GAWD.
Don't even joke.
Well, how about if he hires James Damore to study it first?
Oh, that's perfect.
Haven't seen anything from Crusty, Citizen X or Domestic Dissident lately. So I assume that either they were all Tulpa, or DD followed through on his threat to murder them.
Do you remember the end of "Wild Things"?
'Cause it's like that.
Do you remember the end of "Wild Things"?
remember hot chicks in a pool...rest hazy.
Good. You pass the test.
When that scene arrived, my bunk's gravitational force increased about a sextillion times.
Did that movie have other parts?
Did we suffer another Rexit?
Crusty seems to be alive, at least.
Nuts.
8
Is that an eight of infinite sign on its side?
Paraplegic snowman?
So is everyone on this website either Tulpa or Weigel? Just an endless one-on-one battle?
I don't know but one or all of them stalked me for a bit with their usual pathetic circular logic attacks.
It's all aboot you, eh?
YES! Finally someone who cares and gets it!
As they say, there's two kinds of people in this world.
Five-fourths have problems with fractions.
"Or"?
I'm totally both.
Wait, why are we talking to ourself again?
We're all you Calidissident. You're in a coma.
Are you the part of my personality that's trying to wake me up?
Don't listen to him - he's crazy.
Maybe they are just news weary, everyone needs some time away from the front.
I think I called DD gay earlier today
I do miss Crusty and Citizen X. Truly the best among us, excluding the bot that is Fist of Etiquette.
Right on dude LOL
BUCS > MJGreen
Fist of Etiquette is the moderator account the Reason people use to screw with the commenters.
That explains a lot really. They spend their time writing his quips instead of improving their articles.
If I had moderator power you would all right now be flattened under my heel like so many crush video hamsters.
Spoken like a true Jack Boot.
You wrote that to give me an erection, I know it.
"Speaking of twitter, President Trump retweeted and then deleted a cartoon of a train hitting a CNN reporter"
My god! How could Trump be so irresponsible!
Think of all the innocent reporters that are going to be killed in copycat train rammings now!
It's time to call out Trump's non-journalist supremicist terrorism for what it is.
I want to meet that reporter. The one who's entire head and torso is the CNN logo. He must be a horror beyond all others.
"I want to meet that reporter. The one who's entire head and torso is the CNN logo. He must be a horror beyond all others."
I bet he's hard to recognize lately, having to wear that ANTIFA mask all of the time.
Just to clarify, I do actually think it was irresponsible of him.
I just *also* happen to find the mental image of Alt-Right hit squads fanning out across the country's railways, luring reporters to the tracks with promises of scoops on Trump's connections to the Russian Mafiya's illicit freight train drug smuggling ring, to be highly amusing.
Mass Choo-Choo-ings!
My god I hate twitter.
Must be easy to be a journalist these days. Just sign up for twitter and start finding things to get outraged by.
A Message From Doug
"Representing a company with the largest and one of the most diverse groups of associates in the U.S., and an even more diverse customer base of tens of millions of customers, we believe we should stay engaged to try to influence decisions in a positive way and help bring people together. "
Unlike the President, who has a small, homogeneous group of associates and and even less diverse customer base.
"Hi Doug. STFU and sell me cheap stuff."
Hey Doug. It's Rufus.
Know how I like my diversity? WITH DIVERSE CHOICES AT LOW PRICES.
Do your fucken job because last I checked 60 million people voted for him. People who likely shop at your fucken store.
Would he need to explicitly side with Trump to have satisfied you? Because this reads like a generic response to an event.
Unfortunately, generic sucks ass.
Anyone else feel like the past 4 days has shown the "free minds and free markets" ideal is screwed?
Just the past 4 days?
Yeah, more like the last 100+ years.
Naw. It used to be that Nazis and Soviets killed millions when they fought each other; 1 paralegal and a Republican congressman's hip aren't exactly a great tally, but they still represent a definitive downward trend from Barbarossa, Stalingrad, and the Kursk Salient.
Not quite Stalingrad, but the KPD and the NSDAP used to kill each other in satisfying numbers in their street battles back before 1/30/1933.
They were just warming up.
Yup.
Does it look like we're winning on any level?
Think of it. A rag time bunch of idiots who were provoked by an organized machine of leftists elicits a massive wave of faux-self righteous virtue signalling unseen yet.
Emotions take a bow. You've killed reason.
The guy in the vehicle wasn't "provoked". Any more than the Antifa can claim to have been "provoked" by the Republican healthcare plan.
You don't have to give up on an argument of equivalency between the Alt-Right and the Antifa in general. But in Charlottesville specifically, the Wan Supremacists definitely scored the winning touchdown in the Awfulness Bowl.
Choosing sides in that shit-show is a losing proposition, especially for the libertarian-minded, and yet...
I always choose a side, even in no win situations. Which is why I chose Alien back in the AvP days.
You mean you chose the collectivist, communistic, rapist Viet Cong analogue over the rugged individualist, sport-hunting, antisocial Predator?
What the hell kind of libertarian are you?
I just like all the rape symbolism of a xenomorph. Call me old fashioned.
Oh, well never mind then.
I admire its purity.
Damn straight- it's a goddamned sexual tyrannosaurus!
I was triggered that the Predator had dreadlocks.
*Living embodiment* of a cis-het patriarchal colonialist shitlord.
He's even pro-life!
I choose the side where I get to sit in a canvas lawn chair with a beer and watch evil consume itself from both ends.
Bring Your Own Damn Beer
So you chose Predator?
We're all going to have to choose sides when we are up against the bulkhead being read our rights as white terrorists by the Ministry of Diversity.
What choices do we have if we're already up against the wall?
I'm just quietly waiting for the mob to come to my door because I have a branch of my family that fought for the Confederacy that I haven't disavowed vigorously enough... or for the other mob who will come because I did disavow them.
in other words i'm just waiting to die people. join me
*Begins suicide pact with Roger Wilco*
Nothin' gay though, kay? (at least until the end)
Everybody is waiting to die. Except for the dead people, of course; they've already died. Now they're waiting for the zombie apocalypse.
Am I supposed to feel sorry for you?
We're libertarians, you're not supposed to do anything. There is only what you choose.
No he wasn't but they went there - armed - and prepared to fight. They provoked. They were better off letting them do wha they had to do - as is their right. Nobody would have remembered it the next day.
No. Antifa are FAR worse.
How many randos have the antifa killed?
*Not* Steve Scalise, an assistant, and 2 DC cops... but not for lack of trying.
I would also posit that the cops in Dallas and Baton Rouge could be considered sort of proto-Antifa killings.
Meanwhile, the Charlottesville, Portland, and Sikh killings are definitely on the Alt-Right's tab.
And what does it all add up to? Say it with me, class:
"Nazis and Soviets are Equally Evil."
*Nods in agreement*
Zealots. Purists. Extremists. Truly the definition of Human Viciousness.
Portland was a Bernie Bro. If you want to go back to 2015 then you could count the church shooting in Charleston, SC.
I thought the Portland stabber was one of those "heil Vinland!" 8chan types. Or are we talking about 2 separate incidents?
"How many randos have the antifa killed?"
Look. None of those pussies played little league baseball so you can't expect them to swing a bat with any authority.
The ideal is just fine. It's the practical implementation that's all fucked over.
The past 4 days have shown that most people are fucking nuts.
The sad part is people - especially self-annointed leaders - who should know better are acting like buffoons.
How so? I like what I've seen the last few days. There's a lot of free speech, a lot of free association, businesses making decisions beyond a blind profit motive (as many of us hope they would be willing to do in laissez-faire), and calls to tear down state monuments to war. Kinda beautiful, really.
It's like you don't even TEAM.
Maybe for you, I'm actively striving for a Shadowrun style corporate dystopia.
Who says ANY of these people are invited to Libertopia? Libertarianism is not a global revolution. That Marxist shit is unrealistic. We will be libertarian in our little paradise and they can have their statism in their own little corner as long as they don't aggress against us
... and your children? I mean, you do know that for your Libertopia to work, you have to exile all dissenters, including the ones you make.
I think, perhaps, you may be unclear on the concept on Libertopia.
I'm still waiting for the Gillespie article that explains how this is really a sign that the libertarian moment is truly upon us.
"A bi-partisan group of senators is pushing for the FCC to investigate the federal government's "LifeLine" program, which aimed to provide broadband to low income households. The program reportedly handed out millions in improper subsidies, including to deceased people"
Uhhhm... Wouldn't they be the ones that needed it the most?
True. I'm so surprised that such a program led to such a result. Truly shocking.
It's nearly impossible to make a decent living when you are dead.
So there is a chance.
Members of Trump's diversity council call for Steve Bannon to resign following events in Charlottesville.
Because the actions of a fringe minority are clearly Steve Bannon's fault. Also, I never really looked into it bc my eyes glaze over when lefties start throwing adhoms, but what is their beef with him and is it credible?
Headline for the linked article says "Member...". A single person on the diversity council.
Then Christian writes his headline to say "Trump's Diversity Council...", implying the entire Council has issued a statement.
Then in the bullet point preview, Christian writes "Members....", (plural)
Fire this hack/liar.
This is Steve Bannon.
It really is a scary profile if you think about it for a moment.
He is far more devious than the Rush Limbaughs and the Sean Hannitys out there.

The Congressional Budget Office warns that premiums could rise by 20 percent if Trump follows through on his threat to cut subsidies.
You mean to tell me that people get to find out what things really cost when the government is no longer distoring the market?
Removing those subsidies will in no way render the US healthcare market "undistorted".
The Red-Rs need to leave O-care and Medicaid as they are, and focus on taking a fire-ax to the FDA, a shiv to the AMA, and a baseball bat to the frivolous lawsuit racket.
Cutting subsidies while prices remain distorted is both unfair to the low-income people left to pay for overpriced crap because the gov has given them no other choice, AND is electorally suicidal from a politcal perspective.
Which is, of course, the most reliable sign that it is exactly what the Red-Rs will do.
^ This.
Regardless of whether I want them to or not, I'm pretty sure your suggestions (go after AMA, tort reform, etc.) are not exactly a ticket to electoral success either.
They could be, if we had someone who could phrase it correctly.
Less of the "shivs and fire-axes" talk, more of the Bernie-type fear-mongering. Eg:
"There's this group of shadowy elites that are screwing over the little guy! Elect me, and I'll show them what's what!"
Huge pharma corporations, unacountable government bureaucrats, lots of anecdotes of sleaziness... The attack ads write themselves. Hell, the progs have already got the people primed for it. We just need to step in and take the "greedy capitalist" propaganda in a different direction.
If we, you know, actually had any influence or relevance. "I, for one, welcome our new NHS overlords"...
Right, ignore the budget pacman and go after the feel goods like e-cigs. That will solve everything.
I was thinking more "go after the patent protectionism, reformulation, regulatory approval costs, requirements to throw away perfectly good medicine, stonewalling on nurse practitioners, artificially suppressed residency enrollment, and out-of-control litigation costs"...
... but we can do the E-cig thing too, I guess. If that makes you feel better.
Just when you think things can't get worse......

The balls on CAIR.
Jeff Davis: Infidel too?
Oh god --Culture war is the worst war. GG the South.
I recall hearing something someone said about about civil wars (paraphrased)...
which is that "They don't end because "one side lost, and one side won". They only end when both sides agree to stop fighting."
The difference between civil wars and other kinds of wars is that the belligerents have to keep living with one another. You can't "win" a civil war when you're constantly stripping the 'losers' of the ability to just move on.
Or what?
Or what indeed.
Fuck those guys; we fought a civil war to keep the Muslims down!

Middle school PE teacher arrested for sex with student
Nice.
I guess gym teachers have disciplinary authority over students who no longer attend the school they teach at, during summer break.
She looks like she could have found a safer sex partner.
Dear White Women, There Is Nothing Heroic About Not Having Sex With Nazis
Allure: Nail Nearest Nazi.
This threatened "punishment" of racist men is, efficacy-wise, the verbal equivalent of sticking your tongue out with your thumbs in your ears.
God, if withholding sex is nothing, then what does that make writing a chiding blog?
They may not be attractive to some in terms of physical appearance, but their social capital, educational privilege, and white maleness ? which dominates all areas of our culture ? combine to make their chances of getting laid extraordinarily high.
So ugly, college educated white males are actually huge studs? I think that would be news to a lot of people
So ugly, college educated white males are actually huge studs?
Yes, it's a fact.
How you doin'?
As a college educated white male, no one would be more surprised than me if that were true.
The statement was unintelligible derp to me. Simultaneously redundant, tautological, and oxymoronic.
If it dominates all areas of our culture why did you except physical appearance? Aren't social capital and white maleness the same thing? The implication/assumption that women are powerless when confronted by wealthy white supremacists to the point of bearing their children is hilarious. Like the majority of these women wake up at 40 with grown white supremacist children and think "OMG, what have I gotten myself into?!?!?!?"
More like, "OMG what did I let get into me."
Haha, holes.
It probably *is* news to the Allure demographic, as their more politcal articles seemed geared towards yuppie progressive women, who seem to sometimes fetishize education and enlightenment. Remember, this is the generation that went so far as to coin the term "sapiosexual".
I agree with her opening argument that the "sexually frustrated" jokes are stupid, and I agree with her conclusion that we need to work to give minorities a voice in situations of actual injustice... but all the stuff in the middle? About how a white woman talking about her sexuality reinforces that white female sexuality is most desirable? I found the logic hard to follow and wouldn't be surprised if the author did too.
So ugly, college educated white males are actually huge studs? I think that would be news to a lot of people
I don't have statistics on "ugly", but that aside... um, yeah?
You know all those scare-mongering articles that talk about the death of marriage, the rise of fatherless kids, divorce rates and so-on? They aren't talking about white college-educated men. White college-educated men are doing just fine in all those categories.
So yeah, as a demographic, they're "studs".
Why, they can even just walk right up to women and grab them by the pussy!
There should be an exemption rule for total alpha male teenagers. I read the Rock's autobiography...!
Dwayne Johnson lost his virginity at 12 to an 18 year old. I knew another ladies man in my own life, proven at a young age. Some teens, like LeBron James are just men at the age of 12. Remember way back when, during the time you noted when 15 years old which kids had arm pit hair and when you did NOT? Rules do not reflect reality. The Rock, total man incarnate, seduces an adult at 12,,, that shit happens. I hate to see lives ruined.

Haha, sure. I can guarantee you where I sell my sperm they do no testing.

Search of Justine Damond's home draws scrutiny in southwest Minneapolis
Nah.
"Investigators from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) took nothing from the home, according to the warrant."
But what did they *leave*?
My guess: a drawer full of sniffed panties.
God, just imagine the stink of the panties she wore as the last of her life drained from her body.
I've smelled poo before, weirdo.
What a bunch of Nazis. Fuck those cops. I hope they were exposed to anthrax.
According to my readings at Popehat, in order to get a search warrant, you have to have a suspicion that a crime has been committed, back with an attribution of how you suspect the crime has been committed, and a list of items that that you are searching for in order to seize as evidence.
Unless they suspect that the police officer in question may have had reason to eliminate Miss Damond because of some previous affair, I cannot imagine any other way this search warrant could even be partially legitimate.
Until today I had sort of assumed that Trump was fine with being supported by racists as a sort of cowardly political calculation; like, he just needed votes, so there was no point in going out of his way to distance himself from the weirdos in order to appease people who weren't likely to support him under any circumstances. Unprincipled, but makes a certain amount of sense.
This stuff he's spewing today...either he really is off his rocker and doesn't know what he's saying, or he's actively trying to make the situation worse. The tragic result is that more and more people will abandon their sense of reason entirely in mad quests to defend or destroy him.
Which was happening before Trump entered the scene. From the start I've said that Trump is a result of whatever this current phenomenon is, not the cause. It's possible to think these Nazis are the scum of the Earth and Trump's a fucking retard for even mildly acknowledging them and also that the media has actively been ignoring (or at times advocating) physical violence from the left while making huge generalizations about the right.
It's possible to think these Nazis are the scum of the Earth and Trump's a fucking retard for even mildly acknowledging them and also that the media has actively been ignoring (or at times advocating) physical violence from the left while making huge generalizations about the right.
You could not be more wrong. You choose a side and stick with it. Get it together.
I blame the media for this entire thing. They are the ones who gave us Trump, not only with their embarrassing 8 year love affair with Obama but because they actively gave Trump the attention. They gave him the primary. He didn't need to buy a single ad. Many of them gave him positive press. Many liberals said he would be a good thing because he supported the gays and he a big govt 90s Dem kinda guy.
It's the media who ignores important stories that don't fit narratives, which sends people to places like Breitbart to get information, at which point they also get some wrong information.
The leader of the "Unite the Right" apparently used to be a lefty Occupy guy, but switched sides after the insane Twitter mob ruined that woman's life after she made an AIDS joke about Africa. The constant "fuck white people", "whiteness must die", "the world will be better when all the white people die out" being spewed across college campuses with no retort is absolutely partly to blame for this as well.
I blame everybody. I hate everybody. I hate Trump because even when he's trying to make a good point (like 5% of the time), he is the least articulate adult on the planet. He's not racist, but he does enable them.
His both sides shit is exactly what Dems did after Orlando. They still refuse to admit the dude did it for ISIS. They blame it Republican homophobia, even after his Taliban-supporting dad sat behind Hillary at a rally 2 weeks later.
All of this is why I'm a libertarian.
I'm a libertarian to help pick up chicks.
Totally works. Really.
I'm a libertarian because I realized one day that I had forgotten more about guns than the entire Democratic congressional delegation would ever know. And so why should I have to ask them before I purchase or do anything with them?
That's what the first 30 minutes of "Telcontar: The Franchise Begins" would be about. (Or 30 minutes spread randomly throughout the 2-hour-and-45-minute runtime, if it's Zach Snyder directing).
Colorblindkid: 10/10
"His both sides shit is exactly what Dems did after Orlando. "
His "both sides shit" referred to both sides of protesters on the scene were violent. No reference, even implied, of Dem/Repub "sides".
Not analogous to Orlando.
What, it wasn't both sides? The antifas didn't show up with murder and mayhem in mind? The Nazis are a very, very small and vocal group of assholes, who have been marching, and being ignored, for decades. But now the extreme left decided to use violence to shut down the speech off those they disagreed with. Yes, they share blame, perhaps the majority of it.
Actually, let me try again: racist assholes have every right to preach their stupidity. Fascists user violence to shut down speech they disagree with.
How patently absurd.
"Movements aren't started by a man. A man is started by a movement."
I have a movement every morning, at just about the same time.
Dude, don't interrupt me when I'm being melodramatic.
I'm not saying that Trump caused any of this. But you can't deny that how the President responds to something like this has significant ramifications and determines where things go from here.
Look at what the likes of David Duke are saying in response to Trump's remarks from the past few days; they're literally taking it as an endorsement. It's a disgrace that there's even room to make that argument.
What was that saying?
Ignore everything before the "but"
Does this 'but' make my argument look thin?
I keep thinking things will settle into a bizarro normalcy, but he gets weirder and weirder. And I keep thinking Trump's off his rocker and doesn't know what he's saying, but then he retweets a cartoon of a vehicle running down a political enemy, and it's like... is he that off his rocker?
There's maybe a few hundred thousand scattered around a nation of over 300 million people: not a voting block to be concerned about.
If you're going to keep the dead on the voter registration rolls, it helps for them to have some sort of active public presence.

It is The Nation, they regularly got their paychecks from Moscow and they still might be. Could be their hatred of Trump isn't as strong as their love of Russia, so I'd take anything they say with a grain of salt. And as far as I can tell, they've got their highly placed sources and insiders and experts weighing in with their opinions no different than the rest of the media with their highly placed sources and insiders and experts. The whole thing stinks and I'm more inclined to believe the worst about the DNC and media collusion in covering up the truth but there's no proof here.
