German police have arrested two Chinese tourists for photographing each other outside the Reichstag building giving the "Heil Hitler" salute. The gesture is illegal in Germany, and those found guilty of performing it face up to three years in prison.

A law the National Socialists could appreciate.

      That's a Bingo!
(is that how you say it?)

      1. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

        You just say "bingo."

Bingo! How fun! But, I digress. Where were we?

An American tourist gave the Nazi salute in Germany ? so a stranger beat him up, police say

    1. Jerryskids   8 years ago

You know who else got attacked for giving a Nazi salute?

      1. Libertarian   8 years ago

        Mel Brooks?

        1. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

There would be some irony in that assault.

        A Scottish pug?

I don't think he should be beaten unless with his other hand, he laid his index finger horizontally between his nose and his upper lip.

    Links already did it.

Coming soon to a city or state near you.
(Just got up - has Seattle passed that one yet?)

  6. frankania   8 years ago

The Chinese should have said "this is a Hindu prayer position. We have to do this every day!"

  7. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

Europeans don't think they have stifled free speech but they clearly have.

    1. Cynical Asshole   8 years ago

I'm not sure the Europeans ever believed in free speech to begin with.

      1. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

You're probably right. They certainly don't like that we have that right enshrined in our Constitution.

Now that I mention is, Europeans don't really like us being better than they are for having a Constitution that protects rights.

        1. Tom Bombadil   8 years ago

They just hate us because we're all so fat.

          1. loveconstitution1789   8 years ago

            Peanut butter and jealous indeed.

  8. EscherEnigma   8 years ago

Yeah, Germany does *not* fuck around with "Nazi" stuff.

Remember folks, as much as you enjoy whining about how totalitarian and anti-free speech America is, you have to do a helluva lot more then a salute to get arrested here.
