If he doesn't manage to make it illegal first.
Hello.
Keep it up, JUNKer. Trump loves to win.

Glad to see the Senator will be doing some honest work for a change.

If recycling made economic sense* companies would bid and pay us for the right to pick up paper, plastic, etc.
* it does, but only for aluminum
Which is why aluminum has been recycled pretty much for the entire time humanity has been using it. Other metals, too - auto shops used to put their scrap metal in the alleyways for vagrants to pick up and take to the scrap yard.
Heck, my family collected and recycled cans and newspapers back in the 70s, and not because my parents were environmentalists!

"Trade agreements are not only about selling and buying. They're about job creation," Junker said in what many are considering a swipe at President Donald Trump.
If they want to take a swipe at Trump, give his replacement a Nobel in economics.
Because buying and selling have nothing to do with job creation.
"Tim Verba
Johnny ? The EC President is elected by the European Parliament, which is the second largest democratically elected body in the world (India is first). Currently, it represents 28 different member nations with 748 members of parliament who are popularly elected, with a weight toward the smaller member nations. Comparatively, the election of the EC President is similar to the US President, who gets elected by an electoral college as a representation of the will of its constituent States. However, in the EC version the Parliament also governs as a legislative body, which would make the process more democratic and more representative than the United States, as neither have a direct election of their president."
/face palm.
Yeah, that makes no sense at all. The US would be more democratic if the electoral college also made laws?
The fidget spinner gets a very x-rated upgrade: Woman reveals how to make NIPPLE pasties out of the incredibly-popular toy, before christening her bizarre creation 'fidgetiddies'
Subversion indeed.
Since I am ugly as shit and have no personality, it came naturally to me to put them on my breasts as an ironic and playful way to get the attention of men,' Torres-Orejuela told Glamour of her invention.

I accept women of all shapes and attractiveness levels to put things on their nipples. Let us fight the patriarchy together.
I'm trying to free the nipples. I want to end to War on Areolas completely, and right now. I'm something of a visionary.

I honestly don't think she's doing this to get the attention of men.
NIPPLE pasties
It continues to amaze me that behavior which some women today call "empowering" is the exact same behavior which used to be considered denigrating.
Embrace feminism, friend.
"Used to be"?
Depending on the context I can understand it. The idea of taking over your sexuality as something for yourself, and not for others. I guess the comparison would be a stripper who truly, genuinely loves what they are doing.
It is not a degrading act in that case because they own it and do it without internal conflict.
A true visionary.
This immediately gave me the image of babies checking on a mother's nipples and I experienced great sympathy pain for that. I've heard women saying that happens too. Babies are horrible, they don't appreciate breasts at all.
I can confirm. My daughter was a biter. She would also get frustrated and beat at the unyielding flow with her head and fists. A miserable period for my wife, to be sure.

He should train one of those badgers to get the honey. They don't give a damn.
What i always find absurd about media coverage of our foriegn policy is that they can say stuff like this, but then pretend that the US "isn't actually at war" with either Syria or Russia in the same breath.
when people who aren't actually parties to a 'civil war' start declaring its cease fires, you need to recognize that your terminology is all fucked up.
It's sad that people got tired of War, and so the solution ended up being using a different word.
They don't really even do that.
I think during the Bush era, there was at least some proper attempts to "cover US wars" in all their various forms; the 'war on terror' was understood to have diverse scope and policy makers were consistently being asked to justify US actions, and explain how they served the larger purpose of 'destroying Al Qaeda' or whatever the nominal excuse was.
In the Obama era, it pretty much went out the window entirely, especially after the death of Bin Laden.
Why did we overthrow libya? Well, because... uh, reasons. Why stick our dicks in Yemen? 'Obama is cleaning up other people's messes!" Why did we just murder 150 people by drone in Somalia? Well.... Hey shiny thing over there! Obama ENDED THE IRAQ WAR, so... peace prize!! Why are we shipping guns to Turkey via Libya...? Well its complicated, you see.....
they don't even TRY the 'war on terror' thing anymore. When Obama took over, they basically threw up their hands and adopted this "whatever the US does has some justification which we will avoid talking about"-posture.
That Trump has inherited this carte-blanche obviously worries some people in the press.... but its obviously hard to start screeching HITLER at him for continuing policies Obama started.
its obviously hard to start screeching HITLER at him for continuing policies Obama started.
I don't find that this has been remotely true.
they manage to split hairs, but its still *hard*.
its not about the fundamental policy they're criticizing, but some very-muddled "HOW he's prosecuting" Obama's wars.
i never saw anything so tortured as the range of attempted criticisms the media threw out in the wake of his cruise-missile attack.
they didn't know wtf to say about it. On one hand, you had clinton people saying, "its not enough!" or that "she would have done it, but even harder!" and even obama's people chimed in with similar mixed messages.
and on the other hand, you had people screaming that he was going to start WWIII. There was one twitter account i saw which had been pumping this hashtag about #StopSyrianGenocide, arguing that Trump was basically standing by idly while Syrians were being murdered.... and as soon as he fired missiles, the same people all started saying, "Warmonger Trump Risks WWIII"
i didn't mean to suggest they don't do it, just that the dissonance is impossible to avoid.
A lot of the coverage I saw seemed to be positive towards it. Like Trump was showing decisiveness and strength. That was far more disappointing to me.
What I find remarkable is the shameless way right-wing libertarians went from criticizing Obama's "wars"-- none of which he started-- to shutting up now that they are being waged by Trump. You've got a lot of principles-- maybe some of which involve limited government.
🙂
I'm guessing a quick search of "AmericanSocialist" and "libya" around the time it was happening would produce some really hilarious quotes.
sadly, all your old posts seem to have been deleted. why would they have done that?
why would they have done that?
Well, this is a right-wing propaganda site so I'm not surprised. If my posts were there you'd see that I was firmly against going into Libya and said so. That's the difference between you and I. I'm not afraid to condemn a politician with whom I am ideologically generally aligned. I don't enjoy strongmen-- even one as laughably inept as the current one.
that's not at all what i recall. But who can say now? we'll just have to trust your word.
You really have no idea why your old posts are all memory-holed? Do you think someone might tell me if i ask around?
Ever hear of Libya?
Syria?
Yemen?
'Cause GWB didn't start those wars.
"...Obama's "wars"-- none of which he started-- "
Lemme guess; HRC started 'em all, right?
What a pathetic piece of lefty mud.
I think that's actually not the most terrible defense, particularly for libya and syria - both of which she was *more* gung ho than obama about.
yemen, i think they agreed to limit it to, "help saudis bomb people", and use drones.
"I think that's actually not the most terrible defense, particularly for libya and syria - both of which she was *more* gung ho than obama about."

Hey Sevo and Gilmore(TM) Dear Leader is President now. When can we expect your condemnations of this continuing and expanded campaign of drone warfare? When another Democrat comes into office?
Were you reading my above very-first post as some sort of 'celebration' of current US policy?
also = correction! your old posts were not all deleted. i just can't find any earlier than 2014. are you really that recent an incarnation?
Did you find any where I celebrated Obama's decision to launch air strikes in Libya?
No, the few times you were asked about it, you said, "its not as bad as Iraq, therefore i don't have an opinion"
you used this "not=iraq" multiples times, in fact. even when no one was making comparisons in the first place.
not once can i find any 'condemnation'.

"Hey Sevo and Gilmore(TM) Dear Leader is President now. When can we expect your condemnations of this continuing and expanded campaign of drone warfare? When another Democrat comes into office?"
Hey, shit-bag, I've 'condemned' the US presence in the NE many, many times. Enough that I can't specifically remember a circumstance. And then I have never supported drone strikes either by your fave asshole and our current "He's-better-than-the Hag".
Given your stupidity and lack of curiosity, it's no great surprise a lefty shit-bag like you should miss all that; you're too busy making up new lies to post.
He started Libya. He started Yemen. He stuck his dick in Syria.
Somalia has been on again/off again since the 90's but he didn't inherit a hot war there.
He inherited Iraq and Afghanistan.
But which libertarians have shut up about foreign adventurism since November?
Obama ENDED THE IRAQ WAR, so... peace prize!!
good post but as I recall it was Obama said something about ending the Iraq War... peace prize!! Troops still in Iraq years later.
He should have had to share it with Bush, since he ended it on Bush's timetable, if by end it you mean leave tens of thousands of well armed diplomats and military contractors.
It's sad that people got tired of War,
Eh. It's pretty damn hard to stay hot after releasing Low Rider.

It's good to see right-wingers adopt a gay drag queen as their standard bearer. Progress.

The United States and Russia worked out a ceasefire agreement in southwest Syria. The agreement is set to go into effect on Sunday.
I guess things went well. Putin probably complimented Dear Leader on his work on Celebrity Apprentice and the deserved demise of Gary Busey. Good move. President Putin, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTSNCES INITIATE A HANDSHAKE WITH DEAR LEADER. HE'LL ATTEMPT TO RIP YOUR KNUCKLES OFF IN A SHOW OF MASCULINE DOMINATION!
I was legitimately panicked and thought Gary Busey had died and I didn't know.
Some things we don't fucking joke around with.
dude. Busey's the poop.
Macron tried that stunt. it came off poorly, imo. It would be more significant if there were actually something that France's opinion actually mattered on which the US were attempting to sway. Instead, it just amounted to some "look at me i stood up to the big bully" when there was little actual cause to.
Macron should have instead declared a thumb war.
"The United States and Russia worked out a ceasefire agreement in southwest Syria. The agreement is set to go into effect on Sunday. The longevity of previous ceasefires suggests this latest agreement will not last too long."
It should be noted that Trump campaigned on working to forge a cooperative agreement with Russia on Syria, and much of the baseless accusations against Trump were intended to disrupt Trump's attempts at forming that working relationship.
Here's to hoping the ceasefire holds.
P.S. You'd think the refugee flooded Europeans would be beside themselves with joy if Trump and Putin deliver a working ceasefire, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Baseless
How do you know they are baseless? Isn't there an ongoing investigation? I'm more of the opinion that libertarians like me should concentrate on the fact that Dear Leader is an unqualified Imbecile, but to groundlessly say there is nothing there in the midst of an investigation involving the weirdos in Trump's election campaign? Hmm, I'm not there yet. How did you feel about the 4 year investigation into HRC's email habits?

I've seen people make accusations that were so ridiculous, people were fired at CNN for reporting them.
Why don't you help us out.
Show us what evidence you have.
you're just gonna get "but the investigation is ongoing"...
Sure. Here's one of many examples...
WASHINGTON ? Michael T. Flynn, President Trump's former national security adviser, misled Pentagon investigators about his income from companies in Russia and contacts with officials there when he applied for a renewal of his top-secret security clearance last year, according to a letter released Monday by the top Democrat on the House oversight committee.
Mr. Flynn, who resigned 24 days into the Trump administration, told investigators in February 2016 that he had received no income from foreign companies and had only "insubstantial contact" with foreign nationals, according to the letter. In fact, Mr. Flynn had sat two months earlier beside President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia at a Moscow gala for RT, the Kremlin-financed television network, which paid him more than $45,000 to attend the event and give a separate speech.
His failure to make those disclosures and his apparent attempt to mislead the Pentagon could put Mr. Flynn in further legal jeopardy. Intentionally lying to federal investigators is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison. Separately, he also faces legal questions over failing to properly register as a foreign agent for lobbying he did last year on behalf of Turkey while advising the Trump campaign, which is also a felony.
I'm sure he got paid 45k for his riveting speech.
So he got less than 10 percent of fee Bill Clinton got to help grease the Uranium One deal, and he got shit canned when it came to light.
Hey, it's good enough for out lefty shit-pile!

To the extent that I've been drawn into seeing Trump in a better light (I'm the one who first called his wife "Melanoma"), much of that had to do with seeing his enemies try to disrupt his attempts to work together with Putin.
The progressives went after his attempts to work with Putin because, first, they wanted Hillary to win, and after she lost, they wanted to make like it had to do with something other than a rejection of progressive politics.
The deep state (FBI, et. al.) went after Trump on his attempts to form a working relationship with Russia because if they have to cede Syria to Russia, that threatens their turf, their authority, and their future budgets.
The neocons, led by John McCain, went after Trump on his attempts to form a working relationship with Russia because if they have to respect Syria as being in Russia's orbit, that makes it harder for them to invade and occupy Syria in the future--something they'd love to do.
I figured anybody who is hated by the progressives, the deep state, and the neocons can't be all bad.
