Brickbat: Red Star Over Budapest

The Hungarian government is threatening to ban Heineken's red star logo, saying it is a symbol of totalitarianism. But the move came after the company won a trademark dispute in Romania with a company that produces a beer popular with ethnic Hungarians.

Which is the brickbat here? The Hungarian government putting Heineken out of business or Heineken putting the local brewery out of business?
I assumed it was just a brickbat for Hungary and Hungarians in general. Those hairy, smelly, stupid bastards, I hate them so much. Them and their Hungarian Galoshes and their Hungary, Hungary Hippos and those Sally Strothers commercials about Hungary children. That place must be a real shithole. Or maybe I'm thinking of Albania.
Soros has just added a new name to his enemies list. I hope your affairs are in order.
"Or maybe I'm thinking of Albania."
Wong-o, Pal! You mean "Elbownia", a sub-division of Dilbertonia... Or maybe Dilbertsvania, one or the other...
To paraphrase Freud: Sometimes a red star is just a red star.
Am I a bad person for thinking that it's at least a bit refreshing to see a government so anti-communist?
Yes.
There's a theory that the red star symbolizes Mars which some bolsheviks believed to harbor a highly developed (and of course communist) civilization. Even the distances between the sun, earth and red star in the Soviet state emblem supposedly mirror astronomical realities.

Never likes the Red Star on the Heinie Logo ... nor Macy's use of it in their advertising.
Also, Heineken tastes like Dutch pisswater fermented in tinfoil.
so they've made some significant improvements to the taste?
If you roll that way, yes.
I gotta say, AB being bought out by InBev has really done wonders here in St. Louis. Who needed all those jobs and money invested into the city?
OTOH, we now have a bunch of craft beers. Which is good for hipsters, at least, but no one else.
The real brickbat is drinking Heineken.
